Luke 15:24

because this son of mine was dead, and has come to life again; he was lost, and has been found.' Then the celebration began.

By the grace of God we all find our way home.  There is new life in following Jesus. He celebrated His life by dying for you so you may come to life.  What a joyous reason to celebrate, the lost finding their way home.

Celebrate your life with Jesus by sharing with others.  They do not understand until they see the reason for your hope.

Take refuge in the Lord today and give thanks.

Joshua 1:9

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

God commands us to be strong and courageous.   When God is with you and we act otherwise we are denying the deity of God.  Now we may not feel strong and courageous but that doesn't matter.   We turn to God for our strength, we turn to God for our encouragement.

Jesus was neither  in the garden of Gethsemane but he turned to the Father for strength.  Have a glory filled day knowing our strength comes from Him.

Received this from a friend and since at my age I am not computer literate pleased forward to my my fellow BROTHERS for a little more extra inspiration, Ken German and I am in Weimar also, in God we trust.

The only reason for sending this on is, I have asked GOD and his SON our
savior, JESUS CHRIST to send their blessings to you.          kck

This is such a good lesson.

Proverbs 15:16

Better a little with the fear of the Lord than great wealth with turmoil.

Money can be so deceiving, we all need it to live but when it consumes our life is when we get in trouble.  What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and loose his soul in the process.

Be thankful for what you have, keep God first and you will be blessed with abundance.

God loves you so much, He knows what you need and when.  Praise be Jesus - the one who saves.

Psalms 23:2b

"He leadeth me beside the still waters"

When we are holding the Fathers hand then we have relinquished control.  We know that He is leading us and we know that He has us where we need to be.  No matter what the world is throwing at you, hold on tight to The Fathers hand and it will all be ok.

Have a blessed day, God is so amazing, He loves you with ALL His heart.

Isaiah 42:16

I will lead the blind on a way they do not know; by paths they do not know I will guide them. I will turn darkness into light before them, and make crooked ways straight. These are my promises: I made them, I will not forsake them.

Life is full of decisions that we all must make.   We don't know what we should do.  God promises that, "I will not forsake them".

Life is a journey and we are blind to the future, it is a bumpy ride but God does make it smooth over time.  Trust in Him to lead you, guide you and be there when you arrive.

Have a blessed day brothers and the secret is to not let go of the master's hand.

Acts 13:52

The disciples were filled with joy and the holy Spirit.

God's spirit is alive in each of us who believe.  We need to continue to stoke the fire, we all have a purpose to fill.  God's people are in pain and need to feel his mercy and grace.  They need to be filled with the Holy Spirit!!

Be His eyes, His hands, His feet and His body!

God is good, all the time!
All the time, God is good!!

Daily Thoughts 02-21-2015

James 4:10

Humble yourselves before the Lord and he will exalt you.

We are taught from an early age to seek power and prestige.  Well in the worlds eyes this comes from others, family members, co-workers, strangers and the community. This is being exalted by the world.

The Lord doesn't care about all that, He wants us to seek Him, seek His praise.  It is His love that we seek.  Humble yourself before God today and seek only what He can give.

Have a Blessed day brothers, bring on the Holy Spirit.  All I can say is WOW!!

Daily Thoughts 02-20-2015

Romans 5:1

Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

True peace with God is only found through Jesus Christ.  God seeks our desire for a daily relationship with Him.  Just like His Son who reached for the Father, He listened to the Father.  We too should follow His example to have peace with God.  Jesus gave us the opportunity to have this peace when He died for us.

Have a Blessed day brothers, Jesus is the reason for our faith, He is the one who justifies our faith.

Proverbs 16:3

Entrust your works to the LORD, and your plans will succeed.

How appropriate this morning as I prepare to head out on retreat.  I am reminded to put God first in my life, in any other position we will not find success.  God is number one and I am so thankful for that.

God has a plan for each of us, we need to slow down and realize that He knows best.  In the end we all reach for Him don't wait till the end - it maybe too late!

Enjoy your day brothers, keep us in your prayers and may the Holy Spirit come alive this weekend!

Psalm 27:14

Wait for the LORD, take courage; be stouthearted, wait for the Lord.

Good morning Brothers, we begin lent today.  What is going to be different this year during Lent?  Will your daily walk be different?  Will Jesus play a more important role this year?

I know these questions make you think, and that is the purpose.   We are to slow down from our crazy lives and recognize what Jesus did for us.

Wait for the Lord, take courage is you recognizing the reason for your salvation.  Help others find that peace and the Love that you have for Him.

Praise be Jesus, Praise be His Holy name!  Invite someone to Church this Lenten season.

Matthew 18:19

Again, [amen,] I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything for which they are to pray, it shall be granted to them by my heavenly Father.

Good morning Brothers, what a great day that lays ahead.  I am asking for your prayers this morning for the this weekends mens retreat.  Please pray for the team, the retreatants, and all their families, that nothing interfers with their involvement for this coming weekends retreat.

I have to add it is a Joy to watch the Holy Spirit at work.

May The Holy Spirit make His presence known to you today.

Daily Thoughts 02-16-2015

2 Timothy 4:5

But you, be self-possessed in all circumstances; put up with hardship; perform the work of an evangelist; fulfill your ministry.

We are all being evangelized and we all evangelize.  The question is what message are we sending.  The world is constantly bombarding us with its message, which is not the way to salvation.

The way to salvation is only found thru Jesus Christ, this is the truth.  As believers help others find this truth, be self-possessed in your mission.

Happy Monday brothers, God has a great plan for your week.

In the morning let me hear of your mercy, for in you I trust. Show me the path I should walk, for I entrust my life to you.

Good morning brothers, where do you turn first in the morning?  What do your thoughts turn too?  Do you seek Him as you awake?

In seeking Him we are trusting that God will lead us for His purpose.  Enjoy the day that God has made for you, trust that He is in control.

1 Corinthians 13:4

"Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, [love] is not pompous, it is not inflated,"

Daily Thoughts 02-13-2015

Mark 7:37

They were exceedingly astonished and they said, "He has done all things well. He makes the deaf hear and [the] mute speak."

Jesus continues to work these miracles today.  As you look around you, see where God is letting the deaf hear.  We can try and convey God's message to someone but Jesus must first enter before they can hear.

Likewise, once Jesus has entered, someone who was mute about God's word, now speaks God's word.

We think the bible is about days long past but in reality it is about now.  We just need to see The Word being brought alive around us.

Have a blessed day Brothers, be astonished as you see Jesus in action today.

Praise be Jesus !

Daily Thoughts 02-12-2015

Mark 7:27

He said to her, "Let the children be fed first. For it is not right to take the food of the children and throw it to the dogs."

We must have child like faith to receive God's message. Children are so curious and open to receive.  Their minds are always wanting to be fed, they are like little sponges.

As we become older we get hardened by the world, thinking we have it all figured out.

Be like a little child and be a sponge today.  Ask God to amaze you with His message and feed you.

Praise be the name of Jesus.

Matthew 18:20

"For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."

We always have a friend in Jesus no matter the circumstance. You really don't know anyone in a room full of people, you have a friend in their midst.

When you don't know the answer, turn to Jesus.  Jesus is the answer.  He will listen, He will help, never neglect to turn to Jesus.

Have a blessed day brothers knowing that you are never alone, Jesus is right there in your midst, turn to Him.

Psalm 100:5

"good indeed is the LORD, His mercy endures forever, his faithfulness lasts through every generation."

God never changes, we change but not Him.   God's promises are there for all.  We find comfort in knowing there is a constant in an ever changing world.  He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.

We find the same constant in the Catholic Faith, the mass is the same here as it I half way around the world, yesterday, today and tomorrow.   His faithfulness endures thru every generation.

Have a blessed day knowing that Jesus loves you.

1 Peter 1:7

"so that the genuineness of your faith, more precious than gold that is perishable even though tested by fire, may prove to be for praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ."

that is perishable - our faith can be perishable if we allow it.  Think how over this past year and see where this has happened.  I venture to say that there is a common thread to why.

Our faith needs fed each and every day not just on Sunday's for an hour.  As most of you know I enjoy listening to Father John Riccardo. He has away of teaching that sinks in.

Phillipians 4:6-7

Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

I have to say this morning God is Awesome.  He answers prayer in so many different ways.  We need to recognize God at work in our lives.  We also must not neglect to Thank the Almighty for all things.

A special petition this morning from Arnold Rodriquez. His brother Ignacio, Jr will have surgery this morning.

God of Health and Wholeness,
We gather this morning to pray For our dear brother, Ignacio Jr, as we desire for him to be restored to the balance of good health.

We pray for a successful surgery and for the Medical staff who will be working with him so that, he may fully recover, and return with renewed zeal to the daily life that we share.

LAYING OF HANDS
Junior, with abounding hope and faith, We now place our hands upon you as we call forth the healing power of God.  Divine Healer and Lord of Wholeness, Together we place ourselves in Your Hands.  Give our Junior peace of mind and renewed heart,
Free him from fear and worry and give him Courage and hope.

Bring healing to the weakened parts of his body and through this prayer comfort him with your Love and mercy.

BLESSING
Junior, may you be blessed
With the power and love of God, And the affection of those who love you.
We pray in Jesus name.
Amen

Daily Thoughts 02-03-2015

Hebrews 12:1-4

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us rid ourselves of every burden and sin that clings to us and persevere in running the race that lies before us while keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the leader and perfecter of faith. For the sake of the joy that lay before him he endured the cross, despising its shame, and has taken his seat at the right of the throne of God. Consider how he endured such opposition from sinners, in order that you may not grow weary and lose heart. In your struggle against sin you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood.

No one ever said life would be easy, we are not promised tomorrow, only today.  When we fix our eyes on Jesus is when we can endure, we can persevere.

Don't let the obstacles of life get in the way of what God has planned for you.  We do not know what tomorrow brings, so keep your eyes fixed on him.  He is The One who shed blood for YOU.

May God's peace make an impact on you and those around you today.

Daily Thoughts 02/02/2015

Exodus 24:7-8 CPDV

And taking up the book of the covenant, he read it in the hearing of the people, who said: "All that the Lord has spoken, we will do, and we will be obedient." In truth, taking up the blood, he sprinkled it on the people, and he said, "This is the blood of the covenant, which the Lord has formed with you concerning all these words."

I am sharing the Bible verses from God's embrace this morning.  I have been Catholic all my life and never fully realized how the Old and the New Testament ties us together.  Moses lead the Israelites out of Egypt and did all The Lord had asked of him.  In the Old Testament it was sacrificial animals, today it is the body and the blood of Jesus that saves us.  We have the opportunity each day to receive God's grace at mass.

Realize what you have your hands on, and be like Moses and say "All that The Lord has spoken, we will do, and we will be obedient"

I am also going to share something a Friend passed along and that is WWW.E5MEN.ORG  It is a group of men that fast and pray once a month usually on the first Wednesday of the month.

Have a Blessed Day Brothers

This Wednesday is the 1st Wednesday of the Month

www.e5men.org

e5 MEN

Thousands of Men in Over 80 Countries

PROTESTANTS, ORTHODOX,
& CATHOLICS TO FAST TOGETHER

HUSBANDS FASTING FOR THEIR WIVES

The e5 Man fasts for his bride as a way to imitate Jesus as described by Saint Paul in his letter to the Ephesians, chapter 5 (for which the e5 is named). e5 Men fast in unison on bread and water for at least one 24 hour day per month - preferably the 1st Wednesday of the month.

EPHESIANS 5:25 "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her."

EPHESIANS 5:28-29 "So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself; for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church."

Jesus made a bodily sacrifice on the cross for his bride the church to present her to God the Father "without spot or wrinkle." (Eph 5:27) By fasting for our earthly bride and joining our sufferings to Christ's we intercede for grace for our brides. At the same time our act of bodily love in union with Christ accelerates our own conversion.

By making this sacrifice for the women in our lives we live out the essence of the gospel through a very particular act of self denial. To lay down one's body out of love for another is the central message of the gospel.

E5 MEN REQUIREMENTS

Except for medical reasons, the minimum requirements to be an e5 Man are that you:

  • Be a baptized Christian man.
  • Register with e5 Men
  • Fast on plain bread and water at least one 24 hour period a month for your bride for her needs of spiritual growth and/or  healing; preferably on the 1st Wednesday of the month.

ADDITIONAL INTENTIONS OF THE E5 MAN

The intentions of the e5 also include:

  • All the other e5 Men's brides or primary intention.
  • For all the e5 Women registered with us.
  • For all women sinned against by men.
  • For the petitions sent to us by women.
  • And in general for all women.

NOT ONLY FOR MARRIED MEN

Membership is not limited to married men. For single men, their fast may be dedicated to their future bride. For widowers or those unlikely to get married, the beneficiary of their fasts may be for a daughter, a sister, or a granddaughter, and for those whos faith believes in the need - their deceased wife, or any other women in great need. For the consecrated celibate man the benefit of their fast can be for the benefit of the community they serve or for consecrated celibate women.

Psalm 134:1-3

A song of ascents. O come, bless the LORD, all you servants of the LORD You who stand in the house of the LORD throughout the nights. Lift up your hands toward the sanctuary, and bless the LORD. May the LORD bless you from Zion, the Maker of heaven and earth.

This Psalms speaks of our worship to God in Church.  Enjoy what you have been given, realize the presence of The Holy One during mass.  He leads the way and we are to follow Him.  Bless the Lord

Have a Blessed Sunday Brothers, may the God of mercy be pleased with you today.
