Nehemiah 2:4-5
"The king asked me, "What is it, then, that you wish?" I prayed to the God of heaven and then answered the king: "If it please the king, and if your servant is deserving of your favor, send me to Judah, to the city where my ancestors are buried, that I may rebuild it.""
We each have the chance to build the city of God each day. Your actions, your mannerisms, your words, all make a difference. Those around you are watching and paying attention.
Mend fences, learn to understand each other, accept where others are at, do the right thing. Ask God for help and then go live your life as He wants you too. You are deserving of the Kings favor!

Daily Thoughts 09-29-2015 Psalms 138:3
Psalms 138:3
"On the day I cried out, you answered; you strengthened my spirit."
Our day begins with a series of choices, do I take time and pray or do I just get started. When in time of need to I stop and ask for help or do I just push on.
God is at the waiting, you have encountered Him, continue to grow with Him. We must reach out and seek Him if He is to strengthen us. Turn to Him and He will give you rest.
Lord strengthen my spirit in our times of need, enjoy your day, God will.

Luke 9:48
"and said to them, "Whoever receives this child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me. For the one who is least among all of you is the one who is the greatest.""
How do you view those you do not know? Do you accept them with open arms? Do you welcome them as Jesus would?
We all help build the kingdom of God. His kingdom is inclusive, He wants all to receive His mercy, do not be a stumbling block for someone to enter.

Psalms 19:13-14
"Who can detect trespasses? Cleanse me from my inadvertent sins. Also from arrogant ones restrain your servant; let them never control me. Then shall I be blameless, innocent of grave sin."
We are all sinners, there is no one that isn't other than Jesus. We sin and never realized it until it was done. The slip of a tongue, a knee jerk reaction.
When we walk with Jesus, sin no longer has control over you. We still sin but Jesus knows your heart. Seek Him and grow stronger each day.
God is good - All the time. Be at peace today and do something special for your spouse.

Our faith in God and in His son Jesus is our protection in this world. There are many who place their faith in their own power or something else.
Jesus is our true salvation. Place your trust in Him and life will still be bumpy but the ride will be smooth.
We all face the final time at some point in our earthly life, are you prepared? Make sure your lamp is. full for you never know when the Bridegroom will return.

God is ever with us, He is committed to the relationship He has with you. He is there in the morning when you awake, He is there during the day and He is there as you sleep.
He loves us that much, do you seek Him when you wake? Do you seek Him during the day? Do you seek Him as you fall asleep. All God really wants from each of us is to have Him at the center of our lives. Everything else takes care of itself.

"You formed my inmost being; you knit me in my mother's womb. I praise you, because I am wonderfully made; wonderful are your works! My very self you know."
Our Father in heaven has been with you from the beginning of your life. He molded you for a purpose that purpose is to get to heaven.
Everyone you meet are wonderfully made in the same way. We are blessed to know God in our lives, to be able to give Him glory as we go about our day.

We think that we have to have every thing just right before we venture out. We do if we are solely depending upon ourselves, But we are depending upon God to give us what we need.
So my question this morning is: Are you putting your faith into action?

Our faith in Jesus and God is displayed in action. It is in the small things each day, a smile on our face, holding the door for someone. Sticking your hand out to help when you don't have too.
It is saying grace at meals, the sign of the cross as you drive by church. It is living your lives in such a way that others wonder what does he!she know that I don't.
Be a pleasing offering today in the simple things.

Matthew 9:13
"Go and learn the meaning of the words, 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' I did not come to call the righteous but sinners.""
What is Jesus saying to us here? God shoes each of us mercy for he knows that we sin. Jesus was the perfect one but if we have been given mercy than the more we will give back to the one who showed us patients.
To whom much is given much is expected. We are thankful to God for not responding in kind to when we did wrong. God is a loving God, He seeks our hearts just as he gives His heart.
Father God, thank you for showing mercy on a sinner like me, may we be a pleasing offering for you this week.

"You covet but do not possess. You kill and envy but you cannot obtain; you fight and wage war. You do not possess because you do not ask. You ask but do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions."
The gifts of God are meant for the glory of God not the glory of me. What are your passions? Even when we ask for Godly things is it Him you wish to glorify.
Our Heavenly Father knows our needs and desires. Allow Him to work thru you. Be humble with the gifts you have and USE them.
The Creator of the universe knows ever hair on your head, be patient and seek His glory today. Have a blessed and safe Sunday.

"But as for the seed that fell on rich soil, they are the ones who, when they have heard the word, embrace it with a generous and good heart, and bear fruit through perseverance."
Perseverance, we put the effort in and may not see the results, this doesn't stop our efforts. We continue to push forward. We all live busy lives, maybe we don't have enough time, we still have time to do what God ask of us.
God doesn't judge us by the results, He looks at our heart and gives us what we each need. The church fathers measured their results in how badly they were being treated. Their perseverance got them death.
Lord God, nourish us as you see fit today and allow us to receive with a generous heart.
Be at peace, I have been enjoying my granddaughter this morning, the reason for my delay.

"The fear of the Lord drives away sins; where it abides it turns back all anger."
Have you felt anger build within you? I remember having a conversation that was going sideways, I could feel it grow within me. I knew I had to leave the conversation. I had come too far in my Christian walk that I did not want to hurt God. I feared what would happen.
Abide means agree. We walk with Jesus every day, when you are in agreement with Him you will walk away from Sin.
Jesus take the wheel today and drive away sin in our lives, we love you with our whole being. Have a great day it only gets better from here.

If it is for Christ, then you will be living the truth in love. Your actions will speak for themselves. You will be lead by the Holy Spirit to grow and follow the Master.

God's devotion for each of us is undeniably great. He sent His son to be sacrificed for you. How do we recognize or repay that devotion? There is no way to repay but we can spend time each day in prayer and thought.
Start each day in prayer and thanksgiving for what Jesus has given you. Listen to the thoughts of your heart and act upon what God is asking of you through out the day.
Be at peace today God is in charge devote your life as He did for you.

"Standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary of Magdala."
Mary, the mother of Jesus, looked up at her Son watching him die. Can you imagine the sorrow she would of been feeling? She was told that her soul would be pierce, did she know it would be her Son?
Mary loves you with the same love, if we are to die with Jesus and are to be risen with Jesus, the mother of Jesus will be waiting next to her Son.
Say a prayer to Mary today and thank her for her guidance. Be at peace and be calm in all situations.

"All of us, gazing with unveiled face on the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, as from the Lord who is the Spirit."
We are all made in the image of God, His creations are perfect. We do not realize it but we clutter our lives up with stuff.
It is in simplicity and being still do we begin to see God transforming us. Be still today and see what God is doing, remove the clutter and be at peace.

Can you look at your life and see the times you heard something and never really did anything with it. Or when you are just going thru the motions not being engaged with your whole being.
When it goes from your head to your heart is when you have gotten it. You are acting on it, no matter what is in the way you figure it out. You open your heart and serve the Lord with your whole being.
Life isn't easy but with Heart it is AMAZING! God allow us to take your commandments from our head to our hearts today.

When God is in the center of our life no matter what we are faced with we know it will be alright. We all face Challenges in our daily lives and we all turn to God. For some their god is not our Father in heaven. It maybe alcohol, drugs or something else that they try to cope.
Build your foundation on our Lord Almighty, there isn't nothing that He can't handle. Act upon God's Word, do what He asks of you. His eyes were always on others.
Enjoy your day and relax, Jesus is at work for you, follow His lead.

"with a reputation for good works, namely, that she has raised children, practiced hospitality, washed the feet of the holy ones, helped those in distress, involved herself in every good work."
Are you actively involved in your daily walk? I can say that there are times I want to stay within myself but I know that this isn't what Christ did. He got involved, He gave and gave of Himself.
When asked to get involved step out there and answer yes if this isn't your normal response. Go beyond yourself and live your faith. Our faith is how we live, it isn't religion, it is a way of life.
Jesus is proud of who you are, follow Him and change the world around you.

Who controls your heart? Do you or does Christ. Heart in the Bible isn't just emotions, it also includes mind and your will. Your inner being is in control.
Do your actions and decisions reflect you or do they reflect Christ within you? As a man it isn't easy to relinquish control but Jesus the man did. Father, not my will but your will be done.
Father may your will be stronger in each of us and may we all see our way forward in Christ today. Have a God filled day, He deserves it.

Who controls your heart? Do you or does Christ. Heart in the Bible isn't just emotions, it also includes mind and your will. Your inner being is in control.
Do your actions and decisions reflect you or do they reflect Christ within you? As a man it isn't easy to relinquish control but Jesus the man did. Father, not my will but your will be done.
Father may your will be stronger in each of us and may we all see our way forward in Christ today. Have a God filled day, He deserves it.

Daily Thoughts 08-09-2015 Luke 6:26
Luke 6:26
"Woe to you when all speak well of you, for their ancestors treated the false prophets in this way."
Whom do you try and please? Who's approval are you after? When our purpose is to follow Christ then we go against the way of the world. Not everyone wants to hear what Jesus had to say.
Seek His approval on your daily journey, speak the truth as Jesus did. Allow Jesus to work thru you and don't worry what others think only concern yourself with the Masters approval.
God is good - All the time. Be at peace today, He has it all under control don't get in the way.

Daily Thoughts 08-08-2015 Romans 8:28
Romans 8:28
"We know that all things work for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose."
Purpose, what is your purpose while here on earth? Have you stopped to ponder this? We go through life trying to figure this out not until God is in the center do we get it right.
Today we celebrate the nativity of the blessed Virgin Mary, she knew her purpose was to love God. And she loved God with all her heart that His will was done in her.
Lord, may each of us be a blessing in your kingdom today and may your will be done in each of us.

Daily Thoughts 08-07-2015 Micah 4:2
Micah 4:2
"Many nations shall come, and say, "Come, let us climb the LORD's mountain, to the house of the God of Jacob, That he may instruct us in his ways, that we may walk in his paths." For from Zion shall go forth instruction, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem."
To follow Christ, we never stop climbing the Lord's mountain. We may sit for awhile and take a rest but we once again take up our task and continue to climb.
You really only see when you look back how far you have come. Do you see the joy in climbing? It isn't easy but is it rewarding, never sit too long as you must exercise your God muscles.
Let God instruct you in His ways today, continue on your journey and look forward to what lies ahead.

Matthew 4:23
"He went around all of Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and curing every disease and illness among the people."
Jesus continues to teach His people and cure the sick. His Word is among us in His Holy book, the Bible. It teaches us on how to live our lives. Read the New Testament and learn about Jesus. It is an easy read and will jump off the page.
How are we to proclaim the gospel if we haven't read it. Put your faith in Jesus and take it one day at a time.
O Lord, come live in your people and proclaim your good word with our lives.

Daily Thoughts 08-05-2015. Col. 1:23
Colossians 1:23
"provided that you persevere in the faith, firmly grounded, stable, and not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard, which has been preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, am a minister."
Firmly grounded in the Gospel is something that we must work at. It requires time and study to understand the word of God. God speaks to us in His word.
God's embrace is one of the ways I have learned to persevere in the Gospel. It was a small step in trusting God and my desire to know Him better.
I have included the new schedule for God's embrace in the area. They are also providing a program just for the ACTS Group, first meeting Sept. 15, see attached.

Daily Thoughts 09-04-2015. Luke 5:37
Luke 5:37
"Likewise, no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the new wine will burst the skins, and it will be spilled, and the skins will be ruined."
Are you new or an old wine skin? I was recently questioned on a situation, I could of very easily taken offense to the challenge but I choose to see the good in it. In this way it made me think, what was God wanting me to do.
We can become rigid in our ways that we are not flexible or open to the Holy Spirit. We may burst with anger and miss an opportunity for growth. Be renewed each day that God gives you. What is He telling you today.
Happy Friday everyone, share the joy of Jesus today.

Daily Thoughts 08-03-2015 Philippians 1:3-6
Philippians 1:3-6 NABRE
"I give thanks to my God at every remembrance of you, praying always with joy in my every prayer for all of you, because of your partnership for the gospel from the first day until now. I am confident of this, that the one who began a good work in you will continue to complete it until the day of Christ Jesus."
God who started a good work in you, we accept the saving grace of Jesus, this is the good work. Now we share that faith each day in our daily lives. It is in our daily lives that Jesus will complete what He began.
It is in simple things, a smile, letting the stranger cut in front of you in traffic, saying God Bless you when someone sneezes, asking someone how their day is going and genuinely listen to their answer.
Have the confidence today that Jesus is walking along side you. Be at peace and give Him thanks for his many blessings.

Daily Thoughts 08-02-2015. Luke 11:4

"Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us. And lead us not into temptation. ' ""
What pains and hurts are you holding onto? In order to be forgiven we must forgive others. It may even be a fault that doesn't directly impact you. It maybe a family member that has been hurt and you are taking their side.
Is your passing judgement in a situation helping them forgive or is it helping them hold onto that anger. We each play a role in helping others forgive especially our own families.
Learn to let go and let God, He is the doctor that cures. Allow forgiveness to make a difference in our lives, reach out and say you are sorry. God has already forgiven them, why haven't you?
May the God of peace dwell in your heart today.

How did Jesus love while while in physical body? He gave of Himself, He never seen what was on the outside, He only seen the inside. He sacrificed His life on an old wooden cross so that mankind could live for eternity.
Jesus is the way, will you see what Jesus sees today? Will you reach out as Jesus reached out? Will you listen as Jesus listened? Will you speak the truth as Jesus did?
