Psalms 18:2
"He said: I love you, LORD, my strength,"
"My strength", is Jesus your strength? I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. When we love Jesus and then rely upon Him, life goes beyond ourselves. Things we wouldn't think we can do become possible.
Jesus was the Great Example, He never focused on self. His strength came from The Father and The Holy Spirit. We are blessed to be able to have the Triune God as our strength.
Lord Jesus may you use us today to do your will, for you know the love we have for You.

Proverbs 3:18
"She is a tree of life to those who grasp her, and those who hold her fast are happy."
How can wisdom be a tree of life? If we follow her, she will keep us from making the wrong decision. She will keep us out of harms way.
Wisdom that is from God is found in His Word, read it and ask God to help you gain understanding. He will either thru others or in His word.
May you be blessed with wisdom and understanding as you seek her out. And may you be AMAZED on your journey!!!!

"Jesus turned and saw them
following him and said to them, "What are you looking for?" They said to him, "Rabbi" (which translated means Teacher), "where are you staying?""
Jesus asks them a question which we all need to answer. "What are you looking for?" He didn't ask who but what. Have you ever slowed down and contemplated this question?
Happiness and eternity are two of my answers. So it is important that I make good choices that lead me in that direction. I can make choices that gives me worldly happiness but away from eternity. I pray I do not!
Spend some time contemplating and then do something.
May the Holy Spirit guide your steps today and give you peace.

"Woe to them! They followed the way of Cain, abandoned themselves to Balaam's error for the sake of gain, and perished in the rebellion of Korah."
Life is full of decisions, they all have an outcome that will either help us or hurt us. What drives your decision? Is it personal gain?
Jesus's decisions were never about Himself. They were never about personal gain or selfish desire. Look up Luke 9:23. Think before you act, there are real consequences to our choices. Where is your focus at?
God has given us another day, pray for each other, we need the help.

"Go and learn the meaning of the words, 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' I did not come to call the righteous but sinners.""
We are all sinners but do we really understand where our salvation comes from? Jesus does not want us to go through the motions out of obligation.
The Pharisees were righteous in their actions but did not see their salvation standing before them. Jesus seeks your heart, He wants the relationship not the actions without loving kindness.
May you be blessed this week with a deeper understanding of God's love for you.

God is love, He knows us intimately even better than ourselves. He is just waiting on us to call out to Him. We always need Christ in our lives. We are never perfect and we should never stop calling out to Him.
Have you called out to Jesus lately? Is Jesus your strength or do you have it all figured out. Jesus is the way and we need to listen for The Master for He knows the way. Walk by faith in your lives and call out to Him like the blind man. For only Jesus knows your path.
Today is Sunday, give Jesus the honor He deserves, have a glorious day!

There are times in our lives that are efforts seem fruitless and we want to stop. Before you do that, ask God to help,
Knowing Gods will isn't easy, only He knows the outcome. All He asks of us is to take the next step. The fruits will come maybe not where we planted but our efforts are never wasted if God is in the center of our lives. Take the next step.
Stay dry today and pray for those in harms way. May Jesus protect the innocent.

"Return to a fortress, O prisoners of hope; This very day, I announc I am restoring double to you."
Never lose hope, this is the message from God. His promises are real and we are to place our trust in Him and Him alone. His Word is filled with hope, hope for tomorrow. Lean on Him in your time of need.
Be a source of hope for others, tell them why you are hopeful. Jesus is the great Savior and the reason of our hope. Be His prisoner and you will not lose faith.
Have a blessed day, be a difference maker to those around you, make them curious. God is real!!

Let us do good to all, we do not get to see our friends in Christ that much but we can still do good for them. We are all in need of prayer for a multitude of things.
Take your eyes of yourself and pray for those that need healing, for those that need work, for those that need guidance, for those that need a boost. God hears your prayers and will answer them.

Can we justify away our sins? NO! We are foolish in thinking that we can, no matter how hard we try sin is still sin. In your heart you know what the answer is.
Jesus had to die to for our sins. He is the one who paid the price for our sins, the ones I have committed and the ones I will commit.
Lord God please forgive me for putting that burden on you, may I come to love you with my whole being.
Have a great week in the Lord, His love is beyond compare. We cannot fathom the love He has for each of us.

"So let us confidently approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and to find grace for timely help."
In our faith we are blessed beyond measure to receive grace thru confession. God has mercy on us for He knows our struggles intimately.
Humility is needed to receive this grace, in my opinion. We can not be prideful and think that we have some control over it. Be open and receive His mercy and His grace.

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and God of all encouragement, who encourages us in our every affliction, so that we may be able to encourage those who are in any affliction with the encouragement with which we ourselves are encouraged by God."
What does it mean to be encouraged in our afflictions? We all suffer pains and we eventually turn to God for help, we need a higher Authority. We gain tremendous life lessons during these times.
The insight will help others dealing with various pains, you become God's encouragement for others. Keep Christ in the center of your life and let Him encourage you, listen to your heart.

How do we see God? Is He your rock and salvation? It is in our daily walk with Him where we gain the strength. As you go about your day is God in your thoughts? Do you take a few minutes to speak with Him?
Life will have its challenges but in Jesus we find peace. The wind maybe blowing hard but you and Jesus are at peace. It is Him that you turn to when the storms come, then you can not be shaken. He gives an abiding peace.

"Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;"
Love isn't easy at times, being human we want to lash out but then God tells us to be patient. We have decisions to make all the time, the knee jerk reactions don't express love, usually the opposite.
Be the difference in your world, ask God for the grace to love any way. Ask God to guide your steps and seek His will not yours.
God has placed another talk in front of me last night that ties into the Bible verse above. I pray it talks to you and you hear what you need to hear.

We are called to bring about the obedience of faith, where should this start at? Home is the simple answer and then our community around us. Our faith should be demonstrated in our every day lives, in our normal tasks.
Jesus calls us to be His own, we also follow Him and lead by example. We have another opportunity as we begin a new week.

Jesus knows our soul so ask Him for guidance like the rich young man, just don't walk away saddened.

His creation (men & women), were moving away from God not toward Him. The Triune God had to do something. What does God see now when He looks down from His vantage point?
Today is a new day, rejoice and be glad, enjoy your weekend. Move toward God.

"so that by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have taken refuge would have strong encouragement to take hold of the hope set before us."
God can not lie to us, it isn't possible. His Word is truth and this is where we are to take refuge. It is in His Word that we find salvation. We find hope to deal with every day problems.
Why are we so hard headed and we do not open His good book each day. God speaks to us in His Word, you will hear Him talking to you.

God can not lie to us, it isn't possible. His Word is truth and this is where we are to take refuge. It is in His Word that we find salvation. We find hope to deal with every day problems.
Why are we so hard headed and we do not open His good book each day. God speaks to us in His Word, you will hear Him talking to you.
I ask God to help us listen better as we get to know Him. Enjoy your day and be at peace.

Daily Thoughts 10-8-2015 Luke 11:8
Luke 11:8
"I tell you, if he does not get up to give him the loaves because of their friendship, he will get up to give him whatever he needs because of his persistence."
We have choices to make each day to do our Fathers will. Will we reach out to a friend in need? Will we help a stranger in need. Do we pay attention to the little voice that says help or do we pay attention to the other voice that tells us what difference will it make.
Be persistent in your efforts, even when you don't feel like it. Be persistent in making good choices, it really does matter. Even the smallest thing that you do can make the biggest difference.

Daily Thoughts 10-07-2015 James 4:8
James 4:8
"Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you of two minds."
God is always at the waiting, it is us who put the distance in. As we grow in Christ we are drawn in closer. Jesus seeks a covenant relationship, where you are of like mind. Much like a marriage when your spouse speaks you could finish the sentence.
We purify our hearts and cleanse our hands by getting closer to God. Your partner will guide you, trust in Him and pay attention to His suggestions.
Be the calm in the storm around you, make people curious.

Luke 10:42
"There is need of only one thing. Mary has chosen the better part and it will not be taken from her.""
What was Jesus referring too when He told Martha this? What is the better path? Life comes at us each day, we have decisions to make, where do you start at? As Mary we should start at the feet of Jesus.
If Jesus is in the center of our lives then everything else falls into place. We will not go wrong, this is the better path. Lord knows my path was leading in the wrong direction.

Daily Thoughts 10-04-2015 Jonah 2:1
Jonah 2:1
"But the LORD sent a great fish to swallow Jonah, and he remained in the belly of the fish three days and three nights."
Did Jonah really get swallowed by a fish? There are riddles in the Bible that are there to make you think. There is a deeper meaning and we should try and understand what God is trying to tell us.
In my opinion, Jonah was in darkness, he had turned away from God and God had let him be alone, in a state of despair. We too can turn away from God and find ourselves in despair. All we have to do is ask God for help, He is there at the waiting.

Mark 10:8
"and the two shall become one flesh.' So they are no longer two but one flesh."
Marriage is the foundation of the family with God in the center. The world around us is constantly telling us otherwise. God constituted marriage and gave us its purpose.
This one, at last, is bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh. Genesis 2:23a Do not listen to the world, there are no easy ways out.
What a beautiful day to spend with your loved ones! Share the joy of Jesus with others, especially your family.

""See, you lowly ones, and be glad; you who seek God, take heart!"
The mysteries of God are hidden in His word. We must seek out what God is trying to tell us. Seeking God takes time and real effort. It can not be half hearted effort, you must put your spirit into it.
Your spirit desires more but gets frustrated because it doesn't come easy. Take heart and keep searching his word, ask for help and rejoice when it is revealed to you.
Pray for each other today, we are all on our own journey, enjoy your day with God.

""See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven always look upon the face of my heavenly Father."
Their ANGELS in heaven, we have more than one angel looking upon the face of Father God for our protection and guidance? Then how can we carry a burden against someone if our angels are looking upon God? How can we carry hatred, or envy or greed or lust or indifference?
There are times my Angels must be pleading with God to be patient.
To my Guardian Angels I thank yall for keeping me out of harms way even when I walk into it. May God bless our Guardian Angels today on their memorial by answering their requests.
Today, I ask that you share this email with others, not sure why I am asking, just following directions.

Daily Thoughts 10-1-2015 2 Corinthians 5:7
2 Corinthians 5:7
"for we walk by faith, not by sight."
What is faith? It is knowing something without being able to prove it. It is believing in something without knowing how it will happen. It is trusting in God.
We will all get into our day, we may not know the outcome but we know that no matter what happens we will be ok. Trusting in Jesus that He has it.
Thank God for your faith, ask God to strengthen your faith and then know that God will answer your request. Have an unbelievable day!
