"Brothers, I do not consider that I have already attained this. Instead, I do one thing: forgetting those things that are behind, and extending myself toward those things that are ahead, I pursue the destination, the prize of the heavenly calling of God in Christ Jesus."

Tomorrow is the beginning of a new year, I always seem to think the slate is wiped clean and I get to start over again.  There have been many blessings this past year, some challenges and struggles. The Lord has been good to us but tomorrow we start again.  Hopefully wiser and with a deeper understanding of our purpose in life.  

Christ has been with us the entire time through the good and bad.  Thank Him for His guidance. Honor Him with your life this coming year. True happiness can only be found when He is in the center of our lives.

As we prepare for a new year, let's not forget the joy that the baby Jesus brings into the world.  The hope for eternal life. 

We each will make decisions this year to show our love for God in our actions and our thoughts.   What will you do this year to further His Kingdom?  It really doesn't take much when you live the life He has planned for you.  Seek Him in all that you do and relax. 

Rejoice, Rejoice Emmanuel shall come to thee O Israel.

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, on your own intelligence do not rely; In all your ways be mindful of him, and he will make straight your paths."

Sometimes we think we have it all figured out and then boom.  Something doesn't fall into place and every thing changes.  We were relying upon our own intelligence and not trusting God. Probably not even talking with God about your plans.
It is easy to do but slow down and consult The Almighty on how to move forward.   It will soon be a new year why not reflect on the past year, take an inventory and seek His guidance on what you should do in 2015.
Have a blessed week and trust that God has you in the palm of His hand.

‭Romans‬ ‭5‬:‭18-19‬ CPDV

"Therefore, just as through the offense of one, all men fell under condemnation, so also through the justice of one, all men fall under justification unto life. For, just as through the disobedience of one man, many were established as sinners, so also through the obedience of one man, many shall be established as just."

Jesus came into the world to transform it, think about that. The world was set on a new course that day.  Jesus didn't use force to change the world.  He used His life and the power of the spoken word.  

We were under original sin by Adam until Jesus came into the world to save us.  In His weakness He was strong.  You are the torch bearer now for His word.  Live your life in such a way that others see your Joy and want what you have.  Be the peace maker that Jesus demonstrated to us.  

Enjoy your family today, show them the Love The Father has for them.

1 John 4:7-9 CPDV

"Most beloved, let us love one another. For love is of God. And everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love, does not know God. For God is love. The love of God was made apparent to us in this way: that God sent his only-begotten Son into the world, so that we might live through him."

Jesus Christ is love. Why do some question His intentions?  Why are they blind to the truth?   Why can we comprehend and others can't?

I believe they haven't asked with a repentant heart to know Jesus.  We must bare ourselves to God for he knows all our transgressions.  We can't hide what he already knows.  

If you are mad at God, tell Him, He already knows.  Maybe you are blaming Him for something that is just apart of life.  Life doesn't get easier because you love Jesus, it isn't magic.  But God does give us the ability to deal with life's circumstances.  Trust in Him with your whole heart and turn to Him.  

What do you have to lose?

Matthew 10:34-35 CPDV

"Do not think that I came to send peace upon the earth. I came, not to send peace, but the sword. For I came to divide a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law."

Why is it so hard for people to believe?  To me it is such an easy thing.  The only sword we have for those that have not accepted Him is prayer and God's word. 

We sometimes want so badly for others to see His glory but they are not ready yet.   Instead of lashing out, pray for them.  For if we have not love, we are just a clanging gong.  

Jesus forces us to think, to use our God given talents for a purpose.  The challenge comes in when our purpose is greater than His purpose. 

May the joy of the Lord be with you today.

God has a predefined purpose for everything.  The birth of His son was for our salvation. God's gift to us through His Son is eternal life.  

God is leading each of us to our final destination.  Will you accept His Christmas Gift this year.  Will you help Him this year?  No different than God has a purpose for His Son, He has a purpose for each of us. Why not slow down this Advent Season and see God's will at work in your life. 

Merry Christmas to All, Jesus Christ, the risen King is on His way.  Make room for Him in your life.

The birth of our Lord in our souls renews the body, mind and soul.  He gives us so much when we humble ourselves before Him.  We are all called for greatness but true greatness is found in Jesus.  He is Greatness.  

This Christmas slow down and experience The Greatness of The Lord.  He comes into this world to transform it, one person at a time.  

You are the living waters, spread the good news so all may see the goodness of the Lord.

The Lord Jesus is on His way,  He was sent by His Father so that we might live and live abundantly.  Life is so precious and yet we sometimes throw it away.  We have been blessed by God to help in His vineyards. 

We live through Jesus, this is abundant life.  Our lives of seeking riches isn't abundant it is the opposite.  Get out of the way this week and let Jesus show you His ways.  

Brothers, I also ask for prayers this morning for a friend going in for brain surgery this morning.  I pray the Holy Spirit is with Him, his family and the doctors.  He is too young to have to deal with this but it all works for the good of The Lord.  His name is Sean Walker.

"And upon entering, the Angel said to her: "Hail, full of grace. The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women.""

Have you thought about this verse?  The angel was proclaiming that Mary was full of grace.  Grace can only come from the Father, this isn't something that we can do ourselves.  Mary was doing the actions necessary to receive Grace from above.  She had to have put God first in her life to gain such an announcement.

I imagine that she had denied self in order to be so highly blessed by God.  Self, is the only thing that we have control over.    

The Blessings come from above so be patient in your daily struggles with self.  God knows our needs, He knows our strengths and weakness.  Seek Him daily to overcome self and be patient, God sees your efforts.  

Have a Blessed Sunday and look forward to the birth of Christ, our King.

As we draw closer to Christmas, I am coming to realize there can be a lot of anxiety this time of year.  We are trying to prepare for a joyous Christmas season and life is getting in the way.  What ever is going on, God tells us to, "Do not be afraid". 

This is the message one of His Angels told the  shepherds just living their lives tending sheep.  Can you imagine the fear they would of had?  Well my message to you this morning is, Do not be afraid for God is with you!  I really can't say this loud enough in an email.  

Give Him, The New Born King the praise and honor today by living lives fearlessly.  He is the Good news we all can receive.  

Do not be afraid, I go before you, come follow Me and I will give you rest.

The Lord of our salvation is on His way.  As we continue to wait on Jesus this Advent season, watch for His signs.  Watch for God working in your life, know that He is there with you thru it all.  

We are never alone, wait in anticipation on The Lord, knowing that He is the answer, He is The King of kings.  

Have a Joy filled day Brothers, Jesus Christ is the reason for the Advent Season.

God is truly with you!  Stop and think about the blessings in your life today.   As you breath God is blessing you with life, He is blessing you with thought, He is blessing you with hope and blessing you with Joy!  His Blessings are abundant.  

Give praise to the One who is to come. Help those that have fallen asleep to see the true meaning of Christmas.  Help those in pain with a smile give them hope in humanity today.

Our life really begins when Jesus is present.  He is there to help us overcome all our short comings as well as help us grow closer to The Father.  

The light shines in the darkness, be that light today for someone in need.

But without faith it is impossible to please him, for anyone who approaches God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

This is God's message for today, at 4:45 am this morning I seen this bible verse twice, so I can take a hint.  

God rewards those that seek Him, what are your first thoughts of the day as you wake up?  He is amazing and works in our lives when we put Him first.  I believe God is always there but those that don't put Him first they don't recognize His presence. 

As believers we must help those that need their faith strengthened or even to get them to think about God in their lives.  We can live all our lives and think it is us doing all the good.   Our hope in Jesus gives us the faith to please God and realize that our blessings come from Him. 

God wants us to honor Him with our lives, give Him your first fruits of the day by spending time and giving Him Praise.

Do you call upon the name Jesus?  It is not us who has the power but Jesus who blesses you with His power.  When you are in need, call on Jesus for strength, don't go it alone.  

Have faith that God knows your needs and hears you.  Trust that You are where God wants you. We are all destined for greatness but we must seek Him if we are to have victory.  

To whom much is given, much is expected.

"You are more than enough", we get to thinking that everything must be perfect, we must be perfect before we move on.  That is so far from the truth!  

The Power and Glory of God is made perfect in our weakness.  If God wanted everything to be perfect than the Baby Jesus would not have been born in a stable.  

"You are more than enough", start now.

"Now this is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about. When his mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, but before they lived together, she was found with child through the holy Spirit. Joseph her husband, since he was a righteous man, yet unwilling to expose her to shame, decided to divorce her quietly. Such was his intention when, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary your wife into your home. For it is through the holy Spirit that this child has been conceived in her. She will bear a son and you are to name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins." 

All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: "Behold, the virgin shall be with child and bear a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel," which means "God is with us." When Joseph awoke, he did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took his wife into his home. He had no relations with her until she bore a son, and he named him Jesus."

God is caling!  Have you thought do we seek Jesus or does Jesus seek us?  He seeks us always, He left the 99 to find the one lost lamb.  It is us who do not always seek Him or never really seek Him.  God stops at nothing to get our attention, we can chose to ignore His existence or pretend to be engaged when we go to church but ultimately He never stops looking for the lost lambs.

Are you going to let the Christ Child in this Christmas Season?  Are you going to seek Jesus in a new way this coming year.  We can get caught up in being busy, a trick of the devil for those that are following Him, that we neglect what is really important in life.  Slow down and give The Lord of the Universe some of His time back this Christmas Season.

Joseph was living a pretty happy life, he was a good carpenter, was going to marry the prettiest girl in the town and then his plans changed.  God had another plan for him, Joseph was to help raise the Christ Child.  Be open to life's mis-directions, it maybe God steering you for His purpose.

Not only that, but we even boast of our afflictions, knowing that affliction produces endurance, and endurance, proven character, and proven character, hope, and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the holy Spirit that has been given to us."

Have you thought of the affliction that Joseph experienced upon finding out his bride to be was pregnant? He could of had Mary stoned but he chose to get a divorce and send her off.  In his disappointment he still was a righteous man.

His character was being tested without him knowing that God had a purpose for everything.  Stand tall in your afflictions, let them build character and know that Jesus has a purpose for you no different than Joseph.  Let the Holy Spirit be your guide in good times as well as bad.

"When he had freely spent everything, a severe famine struck that country, and he found himself in dire need. So he hired himself out to one of the local citizens who sent him to his farm to tend the swine. And he longed to eat his fill of the pods on which the swine fed, but nobody gave him any.  Coming to his senses he thought, "how many of my fathers hired workers have more than enough food to eat but here am I dying of hunger.

So he got up and went back to his father. While he was still a long way off, his father caught sight of him, and was filled with compassion. He ran to his son, embraced him and kissed him. His son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you; I no longer deserve to be called your son.' But his father ordered his servants, 'Quickly bring the finest robe and put it on him; put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Take the fattened calf and slaughter it. Then let us celebrate with a feast, because this son of mine was dead, and has come to life again; he was lost, and has been found.' Then the celebration began."

This is a time of year those of us who know Jesus are preparing for His birth.  What about those that for what ever reason have fallen away.  Is it not time to come home?  We want to blame someone for life's events and it seems pretty easy to blame none other than God Himself.
 
Jesus loves us more than we can ever know, He is like the father waiting for his sons return.   He will open up His arms and prepare a feast for you.

"Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give him the throne of David his father, and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.""

God has a Divine purpose for Mary, I am sure this wasn't  what Mary had planned for her life, she was to be the Mother of God.  Now that is a life of purpose. 

We can get caught up in doing our own will that we do not see what purpose God has for us.  Is it my will be done or Thy will be done?

Nothing is impossible with our Heavenly Father, so relax and be open to God's will. The Holy Spirit will guide you

"In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house of David, and the virgin’s name was Mary. And coming to her, he said, “Hail, favored one! The Lord is with you.” But she was greatly troubled at what was said and pondered what sort of greeting this might be. Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God."

Today is the Solemnity for "IMMACULATE CONCEPTION"

"God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called". 

     Have you ever thought how Mary felt when the angel of the Lord appeared.  She would have been around the age of 13/14.  She was scared what what was being asked of her, but she said yes.  

     God gives us the grace to accomplish His will when we say yes.  Mary had no idea what the yes would lead to at the time but she trusted God. 

     Do you need to place your trust in Jesus?  

     Be amazed, be truly amazed when you say yes, even though you are scared of the unknown.
