John 1:5

"the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."

The devil works so hard to put out the light, this causes pain, hurt feelings, anguish and our own pride. Yet the light of Christ never fades. I always like to reflect on my life this time of year. Take an inventory and decide how to move forward.

As you look back you can see the light and you can see the darkness. To hear God we must be still and through His grace He leads us. Be attentive to God's word, this leads you to the light.

Purify my heart, O Lord.

May the light of Christ shine through your actions and may God's grace be poured out on you in the coming year.

Luke 2:40

"The child grew and became strong, filled with wisdom; and the favor of God was upon him."

Jesus is the perfection of man, I can't imagine the favor of God not being on Jesus. Yet He was God made man living in the world. He shows us how we are to live.

Mary and Joseph had the responsibility of teaching and raising Him. We have the same responsibility with our own children. Are we living life's of dedicated love as they did?

Dear Heavenly Father help us with our tasks today, show us through your Son Jesus how we are to respond to the world and live lives of dedicated love. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Romans 9:33

"as it is written: "Behold, I am laying a stone in Zion that will make people stumble and a rock that will make them fall, and whoever believes in him shall not be put to shame.""

There is but one way to live your life for happiness and that is in Jesus. Without Him you will stumble and you will fall. We are to trust our tomorrow's to Him and live each day for Him.

Enjoy the moment and worry about nothing. Life is too short not to live it for Him. If I die to self, my desires and my ways and live for Jesus then I will not be put to shame.

May the Joy of Christ live within, God bless you this day.

Lord, help me to be at peace with this day, entrusting all my tomorrows to you.

Matthew 2:13

"When they had departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, "Rise, take the child and his mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you. Herod is going to search for the child to destroy him.""

The evil that exist to stop God's plan still exists today. Our own faith can take hits, it most likely will not be a full on frontal attack but be subtle things that cause you to misstep.

We too must listen to God and flee from these dangers. We must put on God's armor every day and night. The child Jesus is a precious gift and must be protected, listen to your heart.

May the God of hope fill you with anticipation as you prepare for the new year.

Luke 2:41

"When his parents saw him, they were astonished, and his mother said to him, "Son, why have you done this to us? Your father and I have been looking for you with great anxiety.""

Mary and Joseph had great anxiety about Jesus being missing yet His Heavenly Father never lost track of Him. Our kids are no different, we can be anxious about the paths they are choosing.

Yet God never looses track of them. We sometimes need to learn to let go and continue to pray and trust that God has purpose in everything. Our desires cannot be their desires unless they decide for themselves.

Be at peace today for God is in charge, be anxious about nothing.

Acts 7:56

"and he said, "Behold, I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.""

Where is your focus at? When our focus is on God, all we can see is His glory. Our eyes look upward in our time of need. Never forget every thing happens for a reason.

St Stephen did not deserve to die but in his death he glorified God. His focus wasn't on himself, only on above. Do not be afraid and trust in Jesus when it is your time.

May your day be filled with the Spirit as you live your life and may you honor God with your actions.

We send time each year getting ready for Christmas. Treasure the gift that Jesus gives each of us. We should open our hearts to His message, and to His love.

Make room for Him each day of your life. Open the door of your heart to Him. His love is that of a small child, unconditional expecting nothing in return.

May the Joy of Christmas live in you for ever, Merry Christmas.

"because of the tender mercy of our God by which the daybreak from on high will visit us to shine on those who sit in darkness and death's shadow, to guide our feet into the path of peace."

Our Lord Jesus is found in the simple things of life.   There are no big flashy shows, no sign post announcing His arrival just a small tug at your heart.  If you believe, you are truly blessed this Christmas Season.   

Our goal and mission is to be His voice, His eyes, His legs, His warm embrace and His attentive ears.   We are called to reach out and help our Lord with His tasks.  

"Lord Jesus, teach me humility and simplicity. May I be childlike in my willingness and openness to learn. May I have a childlike spirit to grasp Your greatness."  - Divine Mercy

Do you ever think what really matters in life. That's my thoughts this morning. Every thing we pursue that is of the world isn't what really matters. Those things will be replaced with the next best thing.

Your family and friends, your relationships is what matters. It is like what someone said recently we are all connected in someway. We need that connection and we also need to work on it. They just don't happen on their own.

This is the time of year to enjoy the gifts God has given you. Like the verse says fathers turn your heart to your sons(children), give them your time.

Rejoice and be Glad, the Lord is on His way.

Luke 1:46-47

"And Mary said: "My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord; my spirit rejoices in God my savior."

God is an awesome God!  My spirit this morning is reminded that there is a lot of suffering during the Holidays. Our mother Mary knew suffering like no other yet she never wavered.  

My heart goes out to those that are dealing with pain or loss.  We should all remember that during these times Mary's words ring true.  "My spirit rejoices in God my savior", pray for each other and for those that are not feeling joy.   

May Jesus fill their spirit to overflowing and help all of us experience His loving embrace.

There is joy this time of year, I realize that what is important isn't the material things.  I recall the growing excitement as a child waiting on Santa's arrival.  Not knowing what he would bring but hoping. 

That has been replaced with knowing that Jesus is coming and knowing the gift that He brings.  It is a gift that is always changing.   There is hope in tomorrow.  There is hope in His birth even for me.  It is Joy that He gives, a joy that goes beyond understanding.  

Make room for Him, He needs a place prepared for Him.  Enjoy your week and live with hope in your heart.

Luke 1:42

"cried out in a loud voice and said, "Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb."

Our mother Mary said yes and she carried our Lord Jesus. She became the ark of the new covenant with that simple gesture. Elizabeth recognized who was in her mist, she honored both, Mary and our Lord.

Jesus had divine nature and human nature. His human nature came from His mother. There is something special about a mothers love. Mary knew the gift that she carried. She knew it was the gift for man kind.

Have you said yes to this gift that Mary brings into the world, it is really a simple yes. Be blessed today with the love of Jesus in your heart.

Last minute preparations this weekend for Christmas.  The stores will be filled to over flowing.  Those that wait to the last minute making their mad dash for the perfect gift. 

Have you slowed down and prepared yourself for Christ's birth?  He is the Son of God that we celebrate each year.   Are you gaining understanding for righteousness.  Are you making room for Him?

May the Joy of the season fill your heart to overflowing, there is a lot to be thankful for this year!!

PRAYER:

O my precious Jesus, as we prepare for Your coming, let us clear our mind and heart of all things that distract us from the true meaning of the season.  When we see all of the festive lights, let us think of the Light you bring to the world. As we see the green trees let us remember that it is You that brings life to the world.  As we see a Santa Claus let it remind us of Your giving Heart.  Keep us focused on the true meaning of CHRISTmas.  Amen - Andy N.

The reason for our celebrations, I look around and see a completely different reason in the world.  The world works overtime to confuse the season.  

Jesus is the reason we come together, Jesus is the reason we give from the heart, Jesus is reason.  I am sharing this short video of the nativity story, it brings the story to life and reminds us why we celebrate.  Jesus is the gift for man kind.

The joy of life with Christ, what a difference He makes. This is the wine this verse speaks about. Even when things don't seem to be going well there is still joy in your life.

Jesus is why we celebrate this time of year. He was the Gift for all man kind, that gift brings joy even in hardships. Share the joy with others, help them find Christ this advent season.

May the joy of Christ fill your soul, may He inebriate you with His wine.

It is a tough world out there especially if you are going it alone. I am so thankful that God knows how to feed me. Do you recognize your need for God?

We must allow God to find us, we must be willing to recognize him searching for us. He is the one who brings peace in our sometimes crazy world. Never miss an opportunity to be cared for by the one true Shepherd

Hang in there, the Shepherd is coming to bring hope and Salvation, Rejoice and be glad.

This verse was in preparation to Palm Sunday.  We will soon celebrate Christ's birth in a few weeks.  I am struck by the symbolism in God's word.  

There is meaning in the pictures it paints.  Jesus came to save and He rode into Bethlehem  on a donkey. 

Prayer

• May today there be peace within.
• May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
• May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
• May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.
• May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
• Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise, and love.

When was the last time you plugged into your community? There is something special when we gather as a group of believers. You truly can feel the power of the Holy Spirit.

It doesn't take much to recharge, it maybe lunch with a group of friends. It may be a prayer night at church, we all need recharged from time to time. Don't neglect putting another log on the fire.

We sometimes hold onto things and for what ever reason we don't turn them over to God. Maybe we think we aren't worthy enough or God is too busy to deal with something so trivial.

Let Go, give it all to God. He gives us peace so freely, it is there for the taking. We can get in the way so just let go. Let Him work miracles in your life. Your mind will be free to serve Him, the King of Israel.

As I awoke this morning, the word prayer was in my thoughts. We are to pray in thanksgiving and asking God for what is good for us. God hears our prayers, the important part is to pray.

Throughout the day as you think about it, say a little prayer. Take time in the morning to have a conversation with God. This is prayer as well, it doesn't have to be a form prayer. Just speak to God as you would your best friend. Read the Bible, this is also devotion to God.

Pray for each other, pray for those on the prayer lists. There are many in need. Have a blessed day in the Lord.

The Lord's Prayer, we get so used to saying it. Do you ever slow down and pay attention to the words. My priest, is very deliberate when we say it during mass. Used to frustrate me because of the slowness.

I now realize He is trying to get us to slow down and pay attention to what we are saying. It makes no sense to hang onto others debts, let them go. God has to let them go over and over again, so should we.

Be the person God calls you to be, release yourself from bondage. Have a Great Day!!

It is a busy time of year, we each celebrate Christmas in different ways. Not everyone looks forward to this time, maybe there are conflicts within families, maybe there is loss of a loved one we are experiencing.

Yet we are to never lose hope, in fact we are to abound in it. We never know why but God's ways are not ours. Focus on Him and know that you are loved beyond measure.

My prayer is that you are filled with joy and peace as you prepare for His birth celebration, come Holy Spirit.

Our daily journey is perfecting us if we are in tune with God.  Ask God for help, He never tells us to go it alone.  Take my yoke upon you for my burden is light.  We are to hitch up with God and allow Him to lead the way.  

Is Jesus the center of your life?  Focus on Jesus, He will cleanse all defilement of spirit and flesh.  His promises are peace and joy.  Even in the middle of the chaos there is still peace and joy if we are living for Him.  

May peace and joy abound in you today.

Luke 1:34-35

"But Mary said to the angel, "How can this be, since I have no relations with a man?" And the angel said to her in reply, "The holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God."

Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a holy day of obligation. Today is also the beginning of the year of Mercy.

Our mother Mary is called the mother of Mercy, she stood in front of angel Gabriel and said yes. I am in awe of her willingness to say yes. She was to bear the Son of God.

What is mercy? A good definition a read recently is to relieve misery. Isn't that what Jesus does, He relieves our burdens and miseries. Invite people back to the church, let them know what this year is about. There are many that walked away from the church for various reasons.

Mother Mary, help each of us be a reflection of your Son.

Hail Holy Queen, mother of mercy, hail our life, our sweetness and our hope. To thee do we cry poor banished children of Eve, to thee do we send up our sighs, morning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn thy most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy towards us and after this our exile show unto us the blessed fruit of thine womb Jesus. O Clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary. Pray for us that we maybe worthy of the promises of Christ.

Luke 5:24

"But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins"—he said to the man who was paralyzed, "I say to you, rise, pick up your stretcher, and go home.""

Jesus never missed an opportunity to teach while He was on earth. The Pharisees were not saving people but condemning them with their teaching. Jesus freed this man from his sins and from his bondage on the stretcher.

We too can be bound up and unable to walk in His light. What a perfect time of year to go to confessions. It is Jesus whom we confess our sins too. Let His mercy cleanse you as you continue the journey.

May God richly bless you today and may others see hope in your eyes.

There is purpose in everything that goes on in our lives. Maybe God uses events to get us to realize that there is more to life than what we are doing. We can get so wrapped up in what is right in front of us that we miss the real meaning of life.

We are each created in His image for Divine purpose. God is not seeking the greatest farmer, banker, sales person, teacher or secretary. He wants us to use our gifts for His benefit not only ours.

Know that you are loved beyond your imagination, slow down and take a deep breath. Feel His love and if you can't, ask God to show you His love. He is will answer your request.

Be at peace today and just breath, feel His presence.

Job 33:4

"For the spirit of God made me, the breath of the Almighty keeps me alive."

I am reminded that the almighty is the one who gives us breath. There are times that this is all that I can do is sit still and breath. He refreshes me with air and His spirit.

God has purpose in everything so when we know not how to handle a situation. We can just breath and then we realize that He is always in control. There is purpose in what is going on so just breath and let Him move mountains.

Watching God's mercy in action is truly a blessing. He never stops showing us His mercy. He approaches us with open arms seeking the lost and the lonely.

We are in the advent season, what a beautiful time of year. Are you preparing yourself for Jesus? Take some time out of your schedule and go to confessions. Receive His mercy that He so freely gives. Witness His mercy in action in your own life.

Be blessed today knowing that our Savior stands with arms wide open, His mercy endures for ever.

Matthew 15:33

"The disciples said to him, "Where could we ever get enough bread in this deserted place to satisfy such a crowd?""

Can the same not be said about the world we live in? As I look around I see the same hunger to be satisfied. Being satisfied only comes thru Jesus Christ.

In today's Gospel reading Jesus is teaching His disciples how to give the food that satisfies. We never run out of bread because there is more than enough. Be sure you are getting your bread and go and share it with the hungry. We can't force them to eat but they will eat if they are hungry.

Have a blessed day in Christ, he cures the sick with the bread from heaven. I am going to go get some bread.

How many times do we get in the way of the Lord? He is waiting to pour His blessings on us but our own self righteousness gets in the way. We become full of our selves thinking we know best.

We are to be patience and wait on the Lord. I am sure we each have situations we are praying that God will resolve. It isn't easy to wait and at times it hurts but this is what God asks of us. To stand down and be patience.

May the God of mercy and justice move mountains in your world. Pray that God gives us the grace to wait on Him.

Soon and very soon, we are going to see the Lord, Alleluia

As believers of Christ Jesus who died for our sins, we can not be separated from Him.  Do not believe in the lies the world or the devil tries to impale you with. 

We are victorious through Christ Jesus, this is our claim even when it appears contrary to this.  Do not deceive yourself, be His and only His.

May you continue to overcome, our faith isn't in what we see but in what we don't see, have a Glorious week in Jesus.

As we prepare for the celebration of the birth of Christ is it any different than preparing for His second coming? In my mind it is the same, we should be pure of heart, seeking God at all times and doing the best that we can.

Even that isn't enough but we have the advocate to help us get ready. God knows your heart so ask for help and allow Him to help. It is there for the asking, ask and you shall receive. Our redemption is at hand for Jesus is coming. Prepare the way.

Today is Black Friday, even my phone wants to honor this day with capital letters. The world teaches us the opposite of what God wants. We are to prepare ourselves for the coming of Christ.

The things that people treasure come from the heart not at big box stores. The advent season begins in a few days do something special this year for yourself, take time out of your busy life and get ready for Jesus. It will also be the beginning of the year of mercy so another great opportunity lies ahead for us.

So as the verse says, it is all from God, you could easily been born in another country. You could of had less advantageous growing up. You could not have the hope of Jesus in your life. Bless His name for all that you have.

"You do not possess because you do not ask." James 4:2b. I am reminded over and over again the advocate that Jesus sent us to help us on our journey. It is not easy each day but it is so much easier when we ask for help.

I was struggling with a project trying to do it on my own power, not enough time nor enough energy. I asked for His Holy Spirit, you know something this project is coming together and is being handled with no more time or energy. He is walking with us each day, the help is there for the asking!

The Triune God is amazing and is with each of us each day - ask and you shall receive. Safe travels to everyone visiting family.

He does not recall the hurts and pains we inflict upon Him. They are not even in His thoughts when He sees us. Do what God asks of you, and be a faithful servant honoring Him with what He gives you.

Why do we hold on to the pains and hurts that others inflict upon us? Jesus even while he was being punished looked upon His attackers with compassion. He knew they did not see what He saw, one of God's creations.

This Advent season give the gift of forgiveness to yourself and those with whom you hold grudges. Jesus has forgiven them why don't you, it isn't worth the internal pain. As a friend of mine says - "Drop the stone"

Why did Jesus ask Pilate "do you say this on your own?" Was He seeing if Pilate recognized Him as King? I find purpose in this question this morning for some reason. What would your answer be to Jesus?

Have you allowed Jesus to be the Supreme ruler in your life? That was His purpose to reign in our hearts that we may serve Him as our King. Yet He gives us free will to choose every day what we will do. Seek Him in all things and be satisfied.

What do you hunger and thirst for? If it things of the world you will never be satisfied. It will always consume you for more.

What does righteousness mean? When I looked it up online - "the state of moral perfection required by God to enter heaven" seemed appropriate. Jesus was/is the perfect one that showed us the way. So when "I" read this verse, it is Jesus that I hunger and thirst for. I am satisfied with the results and realize that each day is a new beginning to be satisfied by Jesus.

Jesus is the righteous one who showed us the way to heaven be satisfied by Him each and every day.

God's holy house is a place of worship to honor, to hear His word and to serve Him. Some today use God's house to satisfy their worldly desires.

When Jesus cleaned house it was because people were using God to glorify themselves. We are here to serve Him and do His will. The world creeps into our lives and it is important that we allow Jesus to clean house in our own temples.

God speaks to all of us but we must listen and follow His direction. When we decide not to listen or ignore what He is telling us is when we harden our hearts. God's plans for each of us is much better than anything we could come up with.

I spoke to someone recently that God was calling him in a direction, his response to God was, "you got to be kidding me". He listened to God's voice anyway and is following. He is living his life for God, are you?

Be still today and listen for His Voice and trust In Him for your life.

I have read this verse many times not grasping what it meant. We are to lay down our own will and do that of the Father. The world teaches us to gain power and control. Jesus teaches us the exact opposite.

God will provide what we need so be content with what you have and seek the will of God for your life. As the verse states "theirs is the kingdom of heaven", and this is our ultimate reward.

Lord, may we be blessed today with your will and be at peace.

Eleazar, knew he was leading by example and he knew his decision impacts those around him, the easy way out would lead to hell. Following Jesus will force you to choose the harder path but one that honors God with your life.

Jesus hears our cries for help and answers our prayers. He even cures those that are sick and in need. But not all are saved. As you read the miracles in the bible not everyone was saved but there is commonality to all that are saved.

Their faith has saved them, they trusted in God for their salvation. Their way of life changed after they encountered Jesus. We too must change how we do things. Don't fall back into old routines replace them with prayer and faith that God is leading you home.

Be at peace this week, everything is going to be ok, your faith will save you, strengthen your faith.

Our faith is precious and is in need of being safe guarded. Seek opportunities to build your faith up. A one day retreat, a hour of adoration, an early morning mass. These are little extras that help when we need a boost on our journey.

As someone said recently, "Ask for the grace to be sensitive to the promptings of the Holy Spirit that He does not pass you by when He asks us to do His will", we are given insight when we spend time with Jesus.

Joy is in my thoughts this morning as I awake. We rob ourselves of true joy when we turn away from God. Jesus is the answer to the happiness we all seek. Jesus is the answer, why can some not see this?

The joy that you seek can only be found in following the teachings of Jesus. Do not rob yourself of this.

Reflection:

God put us on this earth and God will take us from this earth….He gives us free will to deal with that middle time frame.  Life is such a precious gift from God we need to cherish it.  If someone came to you and said I will grant any wish you want, anything.  How grateful would you be to that person?  How much greater is your very life than one's earthly wish?   God has only one request for us while we are on earth and that is to be good steward of the gift He gave us.  He wants us to live a life worthy so one day, when He calls, we will go to our heavenly home with Him.  When He calls you, will you be ready to answer that call and say, "here I am Lord, your faithful servant".  Be always prepared for that call, brothers and sisters, and have no regrets.

 

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for this gift of life.  I pray that I have honored your gift as a worthy servant and have lived my life for your greater glory and have helped others to do the same.

Jesus is still being rejected today, and yet He says forgive them Father they know not what they do. Have you picked up His cross? Do you let Christ shine through you?

If you have some will reject you and shun you but most will quietly respect you for the strength that you have is not yours but that of Christ. So many need Jesus and need to see that His teachings have meaning today. Be that person.

God loves you that is why His Son died on a cross. Peace.

What is the significants of only one out of ten lepers thanking Jesus for being cleansed? They all received the same gift, so why did only one return?

There are so many gifts that we each receive every day, the gift of waking up. The gift of a beautiful sunrise, the gift of the car starting. It may seem mundane but it teaches us to always thank God for what we have and sometimes for what we don't have.

Realize where your power comes from today and give thanks to the All Mighty God.

God is the one who's recognition we seek. He sees what you do, do not look for accolades from the world. When the time is right, your Father in heaven will say - well done good and faithful servant.

Trust that Jesus knows what He is doing and follow His guidance. You maybe able to build a house but Jesus will build a mansion that will worship God and not self.

Just when things seem hopeless, God intervenes and rescues us. There are times in our lives that we can not see our way forward and then it changes. God is always at our side so never loose hope.

The abundance that The Lord gives when we do what He asks of us. In today's readings it is about giving from the heart. Not thinking of self but giving even when it seems impossible.

Follow your heart today no matter what the world tells you, God is Greater.

The message may not tie directly to the scripture this morning but it is what is on my heart. May God give each of you the desire and ability to seek His will. Not your own will for this I believe to be an abomination.

We are all called to perform the priestly service of the gospel of God, not just the Priest and Deacons. When we leave church each week what do they say at the end of mass. Go spread the word of the Gospel with your lives.

Our daily lives with Christ are important for others to see, not to shine a light on ourselves but to show others there is Hope. We live in some strange times and people need to see the reason for your hope. The will of God asks us to do this, to share His Son Jesus with others.

I heard someone say recently whether God gave him a long life or a short life, he was happy either way for his life belonged to God. The faith to turn it all over to God and be happy with the outcome is truly dying to self.

Once we get to this point in our faith journey we are living, even when things don't seem to go our way. We know that God is in control and we know we are being cared for.

Lord help me not to over power the circumstances in my life today and relax for I am yours.

The Master is the one in control, we do not get to push God's plan, we are to follow His direction. Leaving everything behind trusting that God's plan is better than our own.

Jesus I place my care in your hands today, You are the keeper of my soul.

God allows us to be tried for His purpose. Maybe it is to strengthen our prayer life, maybe it is to understand where our hope comes from. In any case rejoice that you are considered worthy to preserve for His glory.

Today is All Saints day, the saints were normal people in their time who lived their lives in a way that the light of Christ shone through them. God used their lives to demonstrate His love.

You can be a Saint, you have the same hope they have, your hope is Jesus Christ. Each day you are becoming more and more pure. Just live your life letting Christ shine through you, the glory belongs to Him.

The saints are our example on living a spirit filled life, get to know one. Enjoy your Sunday, Jesus loves You!

Jesus was the Great Example, He never focused on self. His strength came from The Father and The Holy Spirit. We are blessed to be able to have the Triune God as our strength.

Jesus asks them a question which we all need to answer. "What are you looking for?" He didn't ask who but what. Have you ever slowed down and contemplated this question?

Happiness and eternity are two of my answers. So it is important that I make good choices that lead me in that direction. I can make choices that gives me worldly happiness but away from eternity. I pray I do not!

Spend some time contemplating and then do something.

May the Holy Spirit guide your steps today and give you peace.

Life is full of decisions, they all have an outcome that will either help us or hurt us. What drives your decision? Is it personal gain?

Jesus's decisions were never about Himself. They were never about personal gain or selfish desire. Look up Luke 9:23. Think before you act, there are real consequences to our choices. Where is your focus at?

God has given us another day, pray for each other, we need the help.

We are all sinners but do we really understand where our salvation comes from? Jesus does not want us to go through the motions out of obligation.

The Pharisees were righteous in their actions but did not see their salvation standing before them. Jesus seeks your heart, He wants the relationship not the actions without loving kindness.

God is love, He knows us intimately even better than ourselves. He is just waiting on us to call out to Him. We always need Christ in our lives. We are never perfect and we should never stop calling out to Him.

Have you called out to Jesus lately? Is Jesus your strength or do you have it all figured out. Jesus is the way and we need to listen for The Master for He knows the way. Walk by faith in your lives and call out to Him like the blind man. For only Jesus knows your path.

Be a source of hope for others, tell them why you are hopeful. Jesus is the great Savior and the reason of our hope. Be His prisoner and you will not lose faith.

These are the words of Jesus, think of the love that He has for us. His life was spent so that we may come to follow Him, to find our way home.

Can we justify away our sins? NO! We are foolish in thinking that we can, no matter how hard we try sin is still sin. In your heart you know what the answer is.

Jesus had to die to for our sins. He is the one who paid the price for our sins, the ones I have committed and the ones I will commit.

Lord God please forgive me for putting that burden on you, may I come to love you with my whole being.

Humility is needed to receive this grace, in my opinion. We can not be prideful and think that we have some control over it. Be open and receive His mercy and His grace.

What does it mean to be encouraged in our afflictions? We all suffer pains and we eventually turn to God for help, we need a higher Authority. We gain tremendous life lessons during these times.

The insight will help others dealing with various pains, you become God's encouragement for others. Keep Christ in the center of your life and let Him encourage you, listen to your heart.

Life will have its challenges but in Jesus we find peace. The wind maybe blowing hard but you and Jesus are at peace. It is Him that you turn to when the storms come, then you can not be shaken. He gives an abiding peace.

Love isn't easy at times, being human we want to lash out but then God tells us to be patient.  We have decisions to make all the time, the knee jerk reactions don't express love, usually the opposite.

Be the difference in your world, ask God for the grace to love any way.  Ask God to guide your steps and seek His will not yours.

We are called to bring about the obedience of faith, where should this start at?  Home is the simple answer and then our community around us.  Our faith should be demonstrated in our every day lives, in our normal tasks.  

Jesus calls us to be His own, we also follow Him and lead by example.   We have another opportunity as we begin a new week.

His creation (men & women), were moving away from God not toward Him. The Triune God had to do something. What does God see now when He looks down from His vantage point?

God can not lie to us, it isn't possible. His Word is truth and this is where we are to take refuge. It is in His Word that we find salvation. We find hope to deal with every day problems.

Why are we so hard headed and we do not open His good book each day. God speaks to us in His Word, you will hear Him talking to you.

Be persistent in your efforts, even when you don't feel like it. Be persistent in making good choices, it really does matter. Even the smallest thing that you do can make the biggest difference.

God is always at the waiting, it is us who put the distance in. As we grow in Christ we are drawn in closer. Jesus seeks a covenant relationship, where you are of like mind. Much like a marriage when your spouse speaks you could finish the sentence.

We purify our hearts and cleanse our hands by getting closer to God. Your partner will guide you, trust in Him and pay attention to His suggestions.

What was Jesus referring too when He told Martha this? What is the better path? Life comes at us each day, we have decisions to make, where do you start at? As Mary we should start at the feet of Jesus.

If Jesus is in the center of our lives then everything else falls into place. We will not go wrong, this is the better path. Lord knows my path was leading in the wrong direction.

Did Jonah really get swallowed by a fish? There are riddles in the Bible that are there to make you think. There is a deeper meaning and we should try and understand what God is trying to tell us.

In my opinion, Jonah was in darkness, he had turned away from God and God had let him be alone, in a state of despair. We too can turn away from God and find ourselves in despair. All we have to do is ask God for help, He is there at the waiting.

The mysteries of God are hidden in His word. We must seek out what God is trying to tell us. Seeking God takes time and real effort. It can not be half hearted effort, you must put your spirit into it.

Your spirit desires more but gets frustrated because it doesn't come easy. Take heart and keep searching his word, ask for help and rejoice when it is revealed to you.

Their ANGELS in heaven, we have more than one angel looking upon the face of Father God for our protection and guidance? Then how can we carry a burden against someone if our angels are looking upon God? How can we carry hatred, or envy or greed or lust or indifference?

There are times my Angels must be pleading with God to be patient.

To my Guardian Angels I thank yall for keeping me out of harms way even when I walk into it. May God bless our Guardian Angels today on their memorial by answering their requests.

What is faith? It is knowing something without being able to prove it. It is believing in something without knowing how it will happen. It is trusting in God.

We each have the chance to build the city of God each day. Your actions, your mannerisms, your words, all make a difference. Those around you are watching and paying attention.

We are all sinners, there is no one that isn't other than Jesus. We sin and never realized it until it was done. The slip of a tongue, a knee jerk reaction.

When we walk with Jesus, sin no longer has control over you. We still sin but Jesus knows your heart. Seek Him and grow stronger each day.

It is saying grace at meals, the sign of the cross as you drive by church. It is living your lives in such a way that others wonder what does he!she know that I don't.

What is Jesus saying to us here? God shoes each of us mercy for he knows that we sin. Jesus was the perfect one but if we have been given mercy than the more we will give back to the one who showed us patients.

To whom much is given much is expected. We are thankful to God for not responding in kind to when we did wrong. God is a loving God, He seeks our hearts just as he gives His heart.

Father God, thank you for showing mercy on a sinner like me, may we be a pleasing offering for you this week.
