2 Maccabees 6:23
"But he made up his mind in a noble manner, worthy of his years, the dignity of his advanced age, the merited distinction of his gray hair, and of the admirable life he had lived from childhood. Above all loyal to the holy laws given by God, he swiftly declared, "Send me to Hades!""
We all make decisions each day to follow God's ways or to follow our own path. Have you considered what you are saying to others with your actions? Your actions speak volumes to those around you.
Eleazar, knew he was leading by example and he knew his decision impacts those around him, the easy way out would lead to hell. Following Jesus will force you to choose the harder path but one that honors God with your life.
