Good morning, what an opportunity we have today. We are called into action each day as we rise. God gives us the courage to go into the battle field and we are never alone.

Daily Thoughts 06-29-2015
1 John 3:14
"We know that we have passed from death to life because we love our brothers. Whoever does not love remains in death."
To love one another can be a challenge especially if they are difficult. Jesus was able to do it no matter where He went. He loved all even in death. He understood that they just needed understanding, they needed to be loved despite themselves.
Look upon others with His eyes, how does Jesus view them? He doesn't see color, He sees what His Father created. He doesn't see hate, or anger, He sees what His Father created.
Be His eyes today and spread the good news.

Ben Sira 5:5
"Do not be so confident of forgiveness that you add sin upon sin."
We live at a time that people are actually celebrating sin. They see no wrong in it, only the self satisfaction as they dance around.
Take no joy in sin, our Lord died for our sins and He seeks repentance not revelry. What will it take for mankind to see?
Come Holy Spirit and renew the face of the earth. Today we are to celebrate the Joy of the Lord, enjoy your Sunday and pray.

Nehemiah 5:13
"I shook out the folds of my garment, saying, "Thus may God shake from home and fortune every man who fails to keep this promise, and may he thus be shaken out and emptied!" And the whole assembly answered, "Amen," and praised the LORD. Then the people did as they had promised."
God knows what is right and what is wrong, let Him be the judge over what is going on in our society today. Those that follow His commandments have nothing to fear and need not worry.
Our task is to shine the light of Jesus to those that are seeking. To help those in need. Though the world is fast changing Jesus is still the difference maker.
Honor God with your life and love them anyway. Be the example we are called to be, don't fall prey to their wicked ways.
Praise be the name of "Jesus"!!

"Jesus answered and said to her, "If you knew the gift of God and who is saying to you, 'Give me a drink,' you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.""
The gift of God is the Holy Spirit and is given to each of us, if we ask. Think about how you respond to this gift. Do you let the Holy Spirit guide you? Are you fearful in situations let the Holy Spirit guide you. Are you seeking understanding, let the Holy Spirit guide you.
It is in giving that we receive, give of yourself every day. Relax and have fun with it. Let His gift flow through you that others may see His glory and want to let Jesus in.
Praise God today for He is the King of Glory, He is our salvation. Enjoy your day!

Who's house are you building? God's word call us into action, it calls us to do something. That action doesn't focus on self but on others. There are so many out there building their house, thinking of themselves. Jesus never worried about Himself, he cared for those in need.
What are you doing to be a wise man? Are there things that you need to change? Build your house on the rock, the foundation of Jesus.

"And the apostles said to the Lord, "Increase our faith.""
There are times in our lives that faith is all we have. We are just doing what we are suppose to do, that is faith and it is being increased. The results aren't visible but your faith is being increased.
Maybe this is a dry spell in your life, continue on your journey. Your faith is being increased. You aren't doing this for yourselves but for God, for His purpose and His plan.
As the Nike ad says - "Do it". Increase your faith in actions each and every day. Expect nothing in return and be amazed.

"On the subject of mutual charity you have no need for anyone to write you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love one another."
Charity, what is it, how are we to express it. We have each been given so much. Your brothers who are in need, they need your help. Your brother at work, your brother next door, your brother at church and your brother on the other side of the world.
God teaches us to go beyond ourself, next time you see the need or feel the call, share the love of Jesus. Be a difference maker in the world, you will know when, trust in that gut feeling and act.

"Give ear to my words, O LORD; understand my sighing. Attend to the sound of my cry, my king and my God! For to you I will pray, LORD; in the morning you will hear my voice; in the morning I will plead before you and wait."
Jesus, I trust in you. We don't always understand why at least I don't. So at times there is sighing and the response is "trust in Me".
Does God hear from you in the morning. Do you wake with Jesus in your thoughts, is the first thing you do in the morning prayer. Or do you have to get up and get going? Be sure to reach out to God as you start each day.
How awesome is God to be there when we awake. My prayer today is "Jesus, I trust in you". Have a blessed day walking with Jesus.

"I have baptized you with water; he will baptize you with the holy Spirit.""
What a blessing to baptize a child into God's Kingdom. With that comes responsibility to teach them your faith and share with them the life of Jesus and His teachings.
The day will come when He, Jesus, will baptize them with the Holy Spirit. He will awaken them for His purpose. It is our job to prepare the way, we do not know the future only God does. But He does reveal it to us in His word so never stop learning.
Today is a beautiful day, God leads the way, why not follow Him and be glad.

Sometimes when we have plenty we still our not satisfied. There are those with little that are completely happy and are thankful for the little that they have.
Realize what you have and be thankful, give to those with little and do it with a joyful heart. Our treasure isn't found here but in heaven.

"It is vain for you to rise early and put off your rest at night, To eat bread earned by hard toil— all this God gives to his beloved in sleep."
God feeds His people as they sleep. As we wake in the morning, God has been working away in our sleep. He is guiding us, He is preparing us for the day that lays ahead.
What is the last thing you do before going to Sleep? Our brains chew on the food that we feed them, be sure you are preparing the table for the Lord as you go to bed.
We are blessed to be living where we do, there are those not as fortunate this morning as you, give thanks for what you have. Praise be the name of Jesus!

"Then he asked them, "Why are you terrified? Do you not yet have faith?" They were filled with great awe and said to one another, "Who then is this whom even wind and sea obey?""
The wind was sure blowing last night, Bill was doing his best to intimidate us. Isn't it ironic that we get a storm this week and what this coming Sunday's gospel is?
Life comes at us each day, as long as Jesus is in the boat, no harm can come to us. We turn to Him in our times of need, turn to Him when it is calm. The ride will be a whole lot smoother. The bumps won't seem as big.
Have a Great Day, Jesus is calming the seas all around you. Watch Him in action and be in awe.

Our faith grows every day and He is with us. He is with us through it all. Thank Him for being with you, thank Him for allowing you to see Him on your journey. Thank Him for friends who think like you. Thank Him for bringing others to realize that Jesus is with them. Thank Him for letting you cross to the other side and you are never alone.
To Jesus, the Captain of the ship, be the Glory.

Galatians 6:7-8
"Make no mistake: God is not mocked, for a person will reap only what he sows, because the one who sows for his flesh will reap corruption from the flesh, but the one who sows for the spirit will reap eternal life from the spirit."
God is not mocked nor can He be deceived. If your focus is on self then you are sowing for your flesh, if your eyes are on God's kingdom then you are sowing for the spirit.
Keep your motives in check and pay attention to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Our reward isn't found here on earth but in heaven.
We begin another week on our journey, God's Kingdom is growing. To God be the glory in all that you do today.

"It is like a mustard seed that, when it is sown in the ground, is the smallest of all the seeds on the earth."
We are a creation of God, made in his image. So is the mustard seed, within the seed it has everything it needs to become one of the largest of plants. We have everything we need to become what God has in store for each of us.
The environment is what feeds the mustard seed, the ground that it is sown in, the rain it receives and what ever nutrients it receives. How are you feeding your environment? The Holy Spirit is the rain, everything else is dependent upon you.
Be what God intended for you - Greatness.

Today we celebrate the immaculate heart of Mary, the mother of Jesus, what a blessing we have in Mary. There are so many that misunderstand our respect that we have for her. Mary was chosen among women to bring Christ into the world. She continues to do this today.
We question what we don't understand, there are no easy answers. Something for you to ponder - "Mary the temple, Christ the temple's Lord"
We are called to live our lives in such a way that others see Christ, are you a temple that Christ resides in?

We have it pretty good in life, yes we have challenges but we don't want for much when you think about the guy standing on the corner asking for help. Or the person who is sick and can't help himself or the elderly person who has no one to talk too.
Our own problems are difficult but when compared to what I mentioned they really aren't. Reach out when God directs you,

Holding onto grudges or old wounds doesn't work. We have to let them go and forgive from the heart. Your right they may never change especially if you are looking at them with contempt or hidden anger in your heart.
How does Jesus view them? He sees His creation, He sees what they are capable of, He doesn't see the past only the potential of the future.
May God grant your prayer of letting go and letting God. Love them anyway and ignore the jabs.

Proverbs 19:22
"What is desired of a person is fidelity; rather be poor than a liar."
We are called to be faithful in all things. To be true to self and God. Our daily journey should start in prayer, it should start on our knees giving God the praise and honor He deserves. It should be to attend mass on days other than just the weekend. This is what God desires of each of us, to grow closer to Him. To let Him walk besides us each day and allow Him to work in our lives.
Enjoy your day and be that witness that we are called to be.

Daily Thoughts 06-08-2015
2 Corinthians 1:6
"If we are afflicted, it is for your encouragement and salvation; if we are encouraged, it is for your encouragement, which enables you to endure the same sufferings that we suffer."
We are to live life for Jesus, He is the one we are to imitate. Even in His suffering He was encouraging those around Him. In Him is our example to live.
My question this morning are you encouraging those around you? Are you encouraging them even when you don't feel lite it. Are you imitating a life of Christ.
May God's grace be poured out on you today especially if you are afflicted.

Daily Thoughts 06-07-2015
Exodus 24:7-8
"Taking the book of the covenant, he read it aloud to the people, who answered, "All that the LORD has said, we will hear and do." Then he took the blood and splashed it on the people, saying, "This is the blood of the covenant which the LORD has made with you according to all these words.""
Today we celebrate the feast of Corpus Christi. We are truly blessed to be able to share in His ever lasting covenant. Moses celebrated the first covenant with sacrificial animals.
Jesus is the ever lasting covenant, it is He who saves us, it is He who washes us with His blood, it is He who sacrificed His body. Realize what the mass represents, it is more than what meets the eyes.
Enjoy your Sunday knowing you share in the ever lasting covenant.

Daily Thoughts 06-06-2015
Tobit 12:6
"Raphael called the two of them aside privately and said to them: "Bless God and give him thanks before all the living for the good things he has done for you, by blessing and extolling his name in song. Proclaim before all with due honor the deeds of God, and do not be slack in thanking him."
Proclaim before all the deeds of God, we each have the opportunity to share the good news with those around us. Be sure to acknowledge God in our actions, and our voices. We are blessed abundantly each day, it is God that allows you to see this, share that joy.
Be a difference maker in the world, do not hide your joy but give it away. It will come back ten fold.
He directs my thoughts each morning on what to write, it is like I am reading a book, before I write it, God is so amazing, to Him be the Glory!!

Daily Thoughts 06-05-2015
Philippians 2:3-5
"Do nothing out of selfishness or out of vainglory; rather, humbly regard others as more important than yourselves, each looking out not for his own interests, but [also] everyone for those of others. Have among yourselves the same attitude that is also yours in Christ Jesus,"
Why do we let our pride, our ego, our own self importance get in the way? Did Christ always win? No, from the worlds viewpoint, He lost. But He really won, He shows us the way each and every day.
As a good friend of mind says, "drop the stone". What stones do you need to let go of? I know pride is one of mine. Be thankful for what you are being blessed with. Realize that God is in control so my stone of pride only gets in the way of Christ's attitude.
May the peace beyond all understanding grace you today.

Luke 12:12
"For the holy Spirit will teach you at that moment what you should say.""
We sometimes find ourselves in situations that we don't know what to say or how to say it. Relax and let The Holy Spirit guide you. Trust that He will give you what you need.
God is capable of anything, be like the early apostles and just put yourself out there. Be fearless in your actions today, be fearless with your words. The world around you is in need of salvation and He works thru you.
For the Holy Spirit will teach you at that moment what you should say.

"Do not fear: I am with you; do not be anxious: I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand."
Our daily walk can sometimes be a challenge. Life can tag you in many different ways. The journey doesn't become easier once you follow Jesus but you now have a friend to turn too.
You realize that all your power, all your blessings come from Him. God never leaves you but as your friend He may help strengthen you for what lies ahead. Be thankful your God has faith in you to help carry the load.
Take time out of your busy life and reflect on Jesus and where He is leading you. Be amazed!

"But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, then we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of his Son Jesus cleanses us from all sin."
How do we walk in the light? Your day begins in prayer, your thoughts are guided by our Heavenly Father, you notice the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Your thoughts is what guides you, if you get a feeling to do something or say something, or just sense something. Don't ignore it but follow it,
God is truly amazing and He loves you so much words don't begin to describe them. Begin your day in prayer, trust that Jesus has you by the hand and live life to the fullest.
