Matthew 13:57-58
"And they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor except in his native place and in his own house." And he did not work many mighty deeds there because of their lack of faith."
Why is it that we have influence over a stranger but our own families won't listen to us? There are no past histories for the stranger, they only see the present. The same with Jesus, maybe they recalled Jesus while he was growing up. They could not believe the stories they were hearing.
Be careful of placing judgements on those that you know their history. We could be passing up an opportunity to witness Jesus in action.
You know you are on target when you are taking on flack, enjoy your day and fear not. God is there with you.

Isaiah 52:2
"Arise, shake off the dust, sit enthroned, Jerusalem; Loose the bonds from your neck, captive daughter Zion!"
We get to shake off the dust of yesterday and start fresh today. Some days can be challenging and we let our selves get in the way.
Today is a new day and Jesus walks with us. Today we do the best to our abilities and learn from the Master. For it is He who ransomed us from captivity.
Jesus is King and we are His people, fight the good fight today in His kingdom.

2 Corinthians 4:7
"But we hold this treasure in earthen vessels, that the surpassing power may be of God and not from us."
The treasure is Jesus, our reward is eternal life. We are His hands, His feet, His eyes, His ears and His voice. He works through you, it is not you controlling Jesus, it should be the other way around.
You are His and your gifts are His, we are nothing without Jesus. Be at peace knowing God is in control. The results are His not yours.
Lord, allow me to let go today and let God.

Jesus is everything that we need for our journey. No need to worry about tomorrow, He has it all figured out. Concentrate on today, what would Jesus have you do today.
Jesus guides those that walk in His ways. Jesus is our strength, He is our example, He is our King, what more can we need, there isn't anything. So He is all that we need today.
We are blessed each day to be called His, give Him your time and energy today, be strengthened by Him. Why think what if? Do not think but just do. When we are thinking what if we are concerned about the flesh. Trust in Jesus and just do what He is asking.
Be bold in your actions today and honor Him with your being.

Trials, we can let them drag us down or we can let them build us up. When you look back on trials, they are no fun but you learned from them. Trials give you strength especially when you let God help you during them.
Jesus faced the ultimate trial and He gained eternal life. Your trials aren't easy but God has a purpose for it. What is the way out that God is giving you? Seek Him in all things and let them be for His glory.

Jesus knew what He was doing when He fed the multitude with the 5 loaves and 2 fish. We all want to be fed by Jesus but He also wants us to take His message and feed others with it.
We also can also multiply fishes and loaves when we pass on the masters teachings. His words heal others and breath new life into people. Is Jesus real to you? Will you let Him bless you so you can pass on His message?

God gives everyone life, he gives them breath, yet some don't seem to understand that it is God who keeps them alive. They place their faith and their abilities upon themselves. They worship other gods and claim to not need God.

Life has away of knocking us down, as long Jesus is apart of our lives, He will help us up. All those bumps and knocks He will use for His glory if we let Him.
Life is so amazing when God is the center of it. There is hope and purpose in our step. No one said it would be easy but it is always worthwhile.
If a friend has stumbled, help him up with the hope of Jesus.
God loves you and wants His light to shine thru you.

He told us - "Do this in memory of me", Jesus is the living presence of God, His word speaks to us each time we pick it up or hear it. What does "Do this in memory of me" say to you?
Jesus I trust in you today to lead us and guide us to everlasting life, may we honor you with our presence today in all that we do.

We live in such a busy world, our time is taken up with lots of demands. Demands to be good providers, to be good parents, to be productive at work. There really is never any time to sit still with God unless we allow it.
What happened the last time you set aside some extended time to be with Jesus? It is always rewarding and He never disappoints. As in the time of the disciples we need to go away to a deserted place and rest awhile with Jesus. Are you needing a respite in life to seek His guidance?
Jesus is The King of Glory, seek His company and be glad today.

We set the example that our children learn. We may tell our children what they should do but they learn from watching. Jesus set the example for each of us. Our glory is Jesus and by the grace of God that example is being passed onto our children's children.
Teach as Jesus taught, love as Jesus loves, care as Jesus cares, discipline as Jesus disciplines; little eyes are watching and learning.
Be at peace today and take in the beauty that God created for you to enjoy. Life has a purpose - live that purpose.

But this explosive video shows that the abortion industry is so callous that they don't blink an eye at the trafficking of baby body parts.

Going to Church on a regular bases, reading God's word is so important, being around other like minded people that are seeking God. The Holy Spirit can only do so much we need to help ourselves and most of this is just sitting still with a bible verse or gospel reading in our hands.
You are a child of God and your Heavenly Father will teach you. Be at peace today knowing your Father is watching over you.
God does not make junk, He creates masterpieces!

What do you think Jesus meant by this? Jesus came to bring us home, peace can not be found in the way of the world. The sword, in my opinion is the spirit or the way of Jesus.
Life changes when Jesus enters in, the world was in turmoil when Jesus walked it much like today. Jesus is the only answer to our questions.
Be at peace knowing Jesus is in charge. He is always in control.

Daily Thoughts 07-12-2015
Matthew 5:44
"But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you,"
This verse really goes against our human nature but not our Godly nature. Jesus did exactly as it says without a second thought.
We let ourself get in the way, let Jesus get in the way and make a difference in the one who is hating on you.

Brothers and sisters, that is a mouthful, and oh so comforting! If we put our full faith and trust in God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit we can conquer our adversities. We need to have faith that God has our back and will lead us on the righteous path for a happy life. Sure there will be ups and downs and sometimes we may have our doubts, but never lose sight of the fact that God loves us and want us to be happy. "Do two journey together unless they have agreed?"
We make choices in our life that most definitely impacts our future not always for the best. We each have a responsibility to help each other as we journey thru life.
Does your ego or self importance ever get in the way. What about compassion for each other does this ever get neglected. When we take our eyes off ourselves and try to see from the others point of view, we will see and feel what they are viewing.
A great talk about marriage, for some reason God has put this and the word journey in my thoughts this morning.

and they cried out in a loud voice: "Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches, wisdom and strength, honor and glory and blessing."
We are truly blessed to call God - Lord God Almighty! He is deserving of our love, our time, our talents and our lives. He sent His Son for you, praise him with your life, praise him with your actions, praise him with your voice. Stand up for Jesus and be who He created you to be.
Remember - Greater is He that is in you, then he that is in the world. He has conquered all for you, stop holding back and trust.

Daily Thoughts 07-08-2015
Wisdom 18:9
"For in secret the holy children of the good were offering sacrifice and carried out with one mind the divine institution, So that your holy ones should share alike the same blessings and dangers, once they had sung the ancestral hymns of praise."
We are truly blessed to share one mind and the divine institution each time at mass. Some will tell you that the Catholic faith isn't bible based. Well here it is in God's word. Written 50 years before the birth of Christ.
Jesus is the divine institution that we celebrate each time at mass in the Eucharist. Be confident in your faith and help others find the living Lord.
Enjoy your day brothers for Jesus Christ is King and loves you with all His heart.

"For all of you are children of the light and children of the day. We are not of the night or of darkness."
Children are so eager to learn, they want to seek knowledge and understanding. They are so inquisitive and full of joy. Nothing seems to bother them. They are very accepting of the obvious that is right in front of them.
Children are easily lead, do you follow the prompting of the Holy Spirit? Are you full of anticipation of what is next like a child is? You are a child of God and God makes all things perfect. Trust in Him, like a child trusts his father.
Be His joy today as you live life, may Jesus be ever near you today.

Daily Thoughts 07-05-2015
Psalms 33:18
"Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon those who fear him, upon those who count on his mercy,"
God is ever present in our lives, He is always there. Do you recognize His presence, do you spend time with Him, do you honor Him? What does it mean to fear Him?
It is like a fathers love, you know the boundaries your dad taught you and you know the consequences when you stepped over them. I believe this is what it means. Even when we did cross the lines, dad was always there to help us figure it out.
God is watching and patiently waiting, give Him the glory today.

"Be free, yet without using freedom as a pretext for evil, but as slaves of God."
We have been blessed by God to live in this country, we could have been born in another part of the world. Instead of having the luxuries we all enjoy, we may struggle to make a mere $450.00 a year in Peru or Uganda. Are Americans really free or are we enslaved by our freedom.
Be a difference maker in this world, look for ways to share what you have with those that are less fortunate. Give of yourself and be free in Christ, the true freedom.
Have a Blessed 4th everyone, our freedom wasn't free, good men died for it.

"Early and often the LORD, the God of their ancestors, sent his messengers to them, for he had compassion on his people and his dwelling place."
God never gives up on us, He is constantly there showing us the way. He loves You! He made you and knows all about you. Why do some not see the signs?
Think about some of the messages you have received. Is it just coincidence or is God trying to tell you something. He, God, always prevails.

"Yes, and I ask you also, my true yokemate, to help them, for they have struggled at my side in promoting the gospel, along with Clement and my other co-workers, whose names are in the book of life."
You who are called, don't let life get in the way. It really is a spiritual war that we deal with. The devil will try anything to throw you off track. To get you off focus on what you are called to do.
Pray for each other that you continue to overcome and make a difference. If the enemy fire is getting close then you must be on target so keep on going.

"God's way is unerring; the LORD's promise is tried and true; he is a shield for all who trust in him."
Have you noticed how God works, how His plan is never wrong. I am amazed at how He uses His people to reveal His love. It isn't just coincidence things or chance meetings happen, it is divine intervention.
Trust isn't always easy but He reassures us to trust in Him. As I continue to learn to let go and let God, my trust grows, for God promises He will protect us.
My prayer today is that you trust in Him and turn your troubles to Him. Let Go and Let God and pray.
