Malachi 3:10
"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, That there may be food in my house. Put me to the test, says the LORD of hosts, And see if I do not open the floodgates of heaven for you, and pour down upon you blessing without measure!"
In ancient times their tithe were their first fruits of their efforts. Whether that be animals or grain. Those that brought their tithe to God, the floodgates were opened.
We all want the end result in life this is only human. How many are willing to do what is necessary to gain it. God's Word is truth and there are many scriptures to back it up. "Put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts"
Lord God I thank you for another day. You know my heart and my thoughts. Please direct my steps today and help me do what is put in front of me. Jesus, I trust in you.

Daily Thoughts 1-30-2016 Proverbs 27:19
Proverbs 27:19
"As face mirrors face in water, so the heart reflects the person."
How do you treat others? Do you see Christ in them or do you see their faults and weaknesses. Does your friendship have to be bought?
Jesus sees His children and treats them accordingly. His intentions are to help them see their way to eternity with Him. Are your intentions to help everyone get to Heaven? I know I need to work on this.
"Love everyone out of love for Me, even your greatest enemies, so that My mercy may be fully reflected in your heart." Jesus to Sister Faustina
Lord God send us your spirit of love and compassion on everyone we meet today. Change our hearts to be more like you every day. My our actions bring peace to others. In Jesus name.

Daily Thoughts 01-29-2016 Psalms 51:3-4
Psalms 51:3-4
"Have mercy on me, God, in accord with your merciful love; in your abundant compassion blot out my transgressions. Thoroughly wash away my guilt; and from my sin cleanse me."
God's mercy is poured out on us everyday. We are given many graces which we don't even realize. God never looks back on our lives. He see us in the present.
Do we do the same? Do we allow God's mercy to flow through us or do we dam it off and condemn others? Allow His mercy to flow and be a willing vessel for our Lord Jesus Christ.
Father God, as I begin another day, I thank you for your guidance and the blessings You have prepared for me. May I be a willing participant in your plan and may mercy flow. In Jesus Name, amen.

Daily Thoughts 1-28-2016 2 Samuel 7:27

"Because you, LORD of hosts, God of Israel, have revealed to your servant, 'I will build you a house,' your servant now finds the courage to make this prayer before you.
King David learned he was nothing without God. He didn't have the ability to lead God's people under his own power. He knew it wasn't him. We too find ourselves in situations where we have to lead or speak up.
I have learned to trust God in these situations. Even though I don't know what to do I do it anyway. May seem a little precarious but God has never let me down yet. All He asks of us is to be willing, David never stood a chance with Golaith under his own strength but he was willing.
Lord God, your words are truth and life. May we learn to live in the spirit and not our own flesh when doing what you ask of us. May more come forward and help build Your house. "Do not fear: I am with you; do not be anxious: I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you" Psalms 41:10a. In Jesus name, Amen.

"Your house and your kingdom are firm forever before me; your throne shall be firmly established forever."
Trials and tribulations are no fun while going thru then yet God is right there with you. You are being strengthened, your roots are going deeper because you realize it is Him who has the answers.
The master gardener has it all under control. His plan is revealed in time and it is much better than ours. We just need to relax and let the Son shine.
Dear Lord God help us today as your roots are being strengthened. Help us see your hand at work in our lives. Help us help others as we live life. I thank you for another day and may you use me as you see fit. In Jesus I trust, Amen.

"Give to the LORD, you families of nations, give to the LORD glory and might;"
Give to the Lord struck a cord with me this morning. In fact it has for the last several days. My spirit is telling me there is something I must be doing. God gives each of us talents and abilities to be used for His glory. In our daily lives do we provide time to give back to God's Kingdom?
It is the year of mercy, how are you giving of your time and talent?
O my Jesus, You Yourself must help me in everything, because You see how very little I am, and so I depend solely on Your goodness, O God - Sister Faustina

""I am a Jew, born in Tarsus in Cilicia, but brought up in this city. At the feet of Gamaliel I was educated strictly in our ancestral law and was zealous for God, just as all of you are today."
Saul relied upon his own knowledge and power for his faith. He had learned everything he could about God yet he didn't have the Holy Spirit. It wasn't until Jesus became real to Him did he really become a believer.
We too can rely upon our own power, this isn't what God teaches us. We must rely upon His power and wisdom. I am reminded to get a fresh breath of air and lean on Him for guidance and wisdom.
Lord God you are always in our presence, help us to see you. Help us to realize we are not alone and you are there to help carry the load. Watch over your family today and keep us out of harms way. In Jesus name, amen.

God works in mysterious ways, just another example of the body of Christ at work. We are all part of one body and we each have a task to perform.

"You have made known to me the paths of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence.'"
You ever need to be lifted up in your spirit? Think of the Risen Lord, think of the apostles that Jesus first appeared too. Their joy must of been something else!!
True joy and happiness is found in the presence of Jesus. You can go there now, close your eyes and be in His presence. Just imagine seeing the Risen Lord for the first time, your heart will explode with joy.
Lord God, thank you for showing us the way. Thank you for helping us on our journey and giving us food for the journey. May your joy shine thru us to help those in need. In Jesus name, Amen.

Have you ever pondered on God's mercy? He shows us by example on how to be merciful to our enemies. To not hold it against them, in fact to do the exact opposite. To love them anyway.
Your actions speak volumes to others. Our human nature wants to fight back, I will show Him. This only gets you more of the same. Be like David in today's reading, show mercy to your enemy and make peace.
Lord God you love me unconditionally despite myself. Help me walk in your ways today. Help me be the person that You desire. As always watch over us and protect us with your angels. In Jesus name, Amen.

"Hearing what he was doing, a large number of people came to him also from Jerusalem, from Idumea, from beyond the Jordan, and from the neighborhood of Tyre and Sidon."
The healing power of Jesus, the crowds must of been over whelming. People coming from all over to be healed by a man. There must of been lots of sick people needing cured. Did they know He was God?
If there was a man today healing people would you go? Would you even think you needed healing? We all have something that needs the Masters touch. Jesus is found in any Catholic Church, why not seek Him out and be healed. I am sure most back then had their doubts too but they went anyway.
Lord God, you know what ails us Lord. Help us see with eyes of faith and help us reach out to you to be cured. I thank you for this day and I thank you for sending your angels to guard over us. Amen

"Looking around at them with anger and grieved at their hardness of heart, he said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." He stretched it out and his hand was restored."
Jesus tells us exactly what to do for a fruitful life. He gives us the weapons in our bag to take the day on. He shows us how to treat our friend and our enemy. Do we do what He says?
If you are like me, you don't read the instructions until you have too. God's Word gives us life, it teaches us how to pray and how to live. Don't wait until you have too, pick up the Bible and learn from the Master.
Lord God, you know I love you, give me the desire to learn from you, to follow your instructions. Be my protector today and help me live life as you would have it. Keep my will out of the way. In Jesus name, Amen.

God is a loving and gracious God! When we are in need, He knows how to feed us. He knows what will satisfy our desires and He knows each of us.
Where do you turn in your need? Yes you may have a moment of despair or self pity but you realize God has the answers. Tell Him what is going on and ask. Just have a conversation with Him and let Him feed you.
Lord God, I thank you for your guidance and the desire to turn to you when I am in need. You are always there to satisfy. Be my rock today and heal those who are hungry and never satisfied, in Jesus name. Amen.

"You are the light of the world" Matthew 5:14. Without light there is darkness and you cannot see the path. With light the path is very clear and you can find your way. With Jesus at our side we can see the path, the path to our eternal life, to our Father. Follow Jesus's words and He will lead you on the right way. Satin is always trying to turn this light off….make sure you have plenty of Eveready batteries to keep the Light shining bright.
PRAYER:

"For as a young man marries a virgin, your Builder shall marry you; And as a bridegroom rejoices in his bride so shall your God rejoice in you."
Newly weds are full of life and vitality. There is excitement and anticipation, joy and happiness. They do not know what lies ahead but they run full steam ahead knowing they can handle it together.
Life is a series of peaks and valleys. Jesus, the Builder is there to help us thru them. He is the Rock that will never leave you. Call out to Him and trust that He is in control. Let God rejoice in you especially if you are in a valley.
Lord God, I thank you for this day, I look forward to what lies ahead and know that you are by my side ready to help and are leading me. I just need to seek you and ask. "So submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."

You ever have a day that you want to hit the rewind button and start over? It isn't possible, you can't change the past but you can change the future.
God is always there with you, He sees tomorrow and He will gently let you know if you are on the right path or need correction. Pay attention and be engaged in your life.
Our daily walk with Him is what helps being steadfast and engaged. Life has away of beating you down if you do not walk daily with Him. Sunday's ain't enough, Jesus is with you everyday the question is are you with Him everyday.

"Samuel listened to all the concerns of the people and then repeated them to the LORD. The LORD said: Listen to them! Appoint a king to rule over them. Then Samuel said to the people of Israel, "Return, each one of you, to your own city.""
In our lives we will have a king who rules over us. There is the King of the universe or there is the king of the world. One wants to grant you an eternity of Joy and happiness. The other wants to rob you of all joy and happiness.
God gives us free will on how we live our lives. Once you know God and what He has to offer, why would anyone not live under His Kingship? Life isn't easy but it is easier with Christ at the helm. Spend time each day at His feet. This will change you,
Dear Heavenly Father, watch over us and keep us out of harms way. Free us from all anxiety. I am your humble servant seeking to do your will. Guide my steps today and help me in your calling today. In Jesus name, Amen.

Mark 1:45
"The man went away and began to publicize the whole matter. He spread the report abroad so that it was impossible for Jesus to enter a town openly. He remained outside in deserted places, and people kept coming to him from everywhere."
Jesus has the power to heal the sick, make the blind see and erase leprosy. People flocked to Him to be healed, He could no longer live like He did before His baptism. Is that any different today? Jesus still has the power to heal.
Our lives are living examples of His healing power. Look back over the past year, how has Jesus cured you? Are there things that still need healing? Bring them to the Master and let Him touch you. Believe in what God is capable of and trust in Him. Then tell everyone you meet!!

"The man went away and began to publicize the whole matter. He spread the report abroad so that it was impossible for Jesus to enter a town openly. He remained outside in deserted places, and people kept coming to him from everywhere."
Jesus has the power to heal the sick, make the blind see and erase leprosy. People flocked to Him to be healed, He could no longer live like He did before His baptism. Is that any different today? Jesus still has the power to heal.

Daily Thoughts 1-13-2016 1 Samuel 3:19
1 Samuel 3:19
"Samuel grew up, and the LORD was with him, not permitting any word of his to go unfulfilled."
Do you think about the words you say? They are what controls your life, they help you earn a living, they honor God, they build others up and they also get us in trouble.
Like Samuel, God is with us each and every day of our lives. He sends His angels to guard over us. Your own words do not go unfulfilled, choose them wisely.
You are loved by our Creator, Love Him back with your words of praise. O loving God helps us do Your will in our lives

Daily Thoughts 1-12-2026 1 Thessalonians. 2:13
1 Thessalonians 2:13
"And for this reason we too give thanks to God unceasingly, that, in receiving the word of God from hearing us, you received not a human word but, as it truly is, the word of God, which is now at work in you who believe."
The word of God is given to us in many ways. Reading God's word, hearing God's word, speaking God's word, doing God's word. You ever notice when God's word jumps out at you. It is like a message from heaven.
I received one of these messages yesterday from a friend in normal conversation. He doesn't even realize God used him to convey a message. When in need and we are attentive, God will speak with us.
Lord Jesus, I am striving for perfection, but I really need more of Your mercy. I am nothing without You. Teach me and all souls striving for sanctity how to adore Your mercy and to trust in You still more! - diary of Sister Faustina.

Daily Thoughts 01-11-2016 Acts 6:2
Acts 6:2
"So the Twelve called together the community of the disciples and said, "It is not right for us to neglect the word of God to serve at table."
We are all part of the Kingdom of God, how do we build community? Is your community closed off to newcomers? Are you afraid of change and comfortable in your surroundings? Do you even belong to a community?
The early church recognized that they were neglecting the word of God and made some changes. Be the change that you desire, let God take you by the hand and do what He asks of us. Trust in Him.
Lord Jesus, help me to be more present to Your presence in my heart. I pray for the grace of Your mercy that I may persevere in keeping my heart open to You. - diary of Sister Faustina

Luke 3:16
"John answered them all, saying, "I am baptizing you with water, but one mightier than I is coming. I am not worthy to loosen the thongs of his sandals. He will baptize you with the holy Spirit and fire."
Our faith is found in Jesus, He leads the way. You have been prepared for the journey. Jesus is the one who is our victory over justice. Our life circumstances have purpose, they are drawing us closer to God.
We too are not worthy yet Jesus loves each of us more than His own life. Be who you are, God has plans for you.
Lord God, thank you for coming into our presence and showing us the way to eternal life. May we be a pleasing offering in your sight.

"He must increase; I must decrease.""
Our own human will gets in the way, you are driving down the road see someone in need and are in a hurry. What should you do? The internal discussion begins, should I stop and help or keep going? What would Jesus Do?
It isn't easy to do God's will, it means that you are no longer in control. It is God who directs your path. Even Jesus was troubled in the garden - Take this cup away from me, but not what I will but what you will.
Jesus take the wheel in my life and help me keep my hands off.

Daily Thoughts 01-08-2016 Luke 5:13

"Jesus stretched out his hand, touched him, and said, "I do will it. Be made clean." And the leprosy left him immediately."
A personal encounter with Jesus, does this still happen today? Without a doubt it does. Jesus is at the waiting for us to approach Him and ask Him to make us clean.
Like the man with leprosy we must wish it and bring it to Jesus. Jesus performs this miracle every day removing that which makes unclean. It takes faith to go to Jesus. As Jesus said, " I do will it, be made clean"
Lord God help us come to you in our times of need and trust in your almighty power.

Daily Thoughts 1-7-2016 1 John 4:20

"If anyone says, "I love God," but hates his brother, he is a liar; for whoever does not love a brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen."
Hate and liar are pretty strong words in this verse. Someone who carries hate around is only hurting themselves. I am sure there may be good reason yet Jesus died on the cross for all.
As a good friend of mine says, drop the stone. Let go of the hate and anger, ask God to help you. As much as I don't want to say it, this is why Jesus was crucified, He will remove that from you, if you let Him!
Be at peace today knowing Emmanuel is at your side, what a Joy!!!

Daily Thoughts 1-6-2016 Mark 6:50
Mark 6:50
"They had all seen him and were terrified. But at once he spoke with them, "Take courage, it is I, do not be afraid!""
Is Jesus a friend? Do you speak with Him often? Do you trust Him? How would you act if Jesus appeared to you? All good questions but Jesus tells us the proper response, take courage and do not be afraid.
Jesus seeks our friendship, our day to day life is where we encounter Him. In the smiling face of a stranger, in a co-worker needing a hand, in an unexpected phone call, in the guy standing on a corner with a sign. All of these are chances to encounter Jesus if we are paying attention.
Today is a new day, may God bless you with Love for the other person, may you encounter Jesus as you live your life today.

Daily Thoughts 1-5-2015 1 John 4:10

"In this is love: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as expiation for our sins."
For God to love us we don't have to do anything to gain that love. We are loved unconditionally, nothing we do can ever lose God's love. We don't have to be good in order for God to love us.
The world on the other hand that is s different story. We have to be perfect, we have to this and that yet it never satisfies. Only Jesus satisfies, that is why He came and died on a cross for you and me. You are loved by God, and have purpose.
Lord, walk with me today, help me understand how much you love me. Help me share that love with others and help me know what is important in life. Jesus, I trust in you today.

"You belong to God, children, and you have conquered them, for the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world."
When I started writing my daily thoughts, it wasn't planned. I just knew I needed to write. God had implanted that thought in my head and continues to do so each morning.
I do not know what I will write for the next day until the next day. This Bible verse speaks volumes for it is God that gives us our abilities. We each have talents and gifts, do not cover them up.
It is God I give the credit too, Know you are made in His image and you have a purpose here. Have a blessed day, this is the first day of the rest of your life.

Daily Thoughts 1-3-2015 Matthew 2:10
Matthew 2:10
"They were overjoyed at seeing the star,"
I had the pleasure of attending a wedding yesterday, it was a great celebrations. It was definitely a good time. Being married I know it won't always be a good time. There will be bad times unfortunately.
Like the three kings, we must focus on the star and let Him guide us. This is where true joy comes from. Even in our struggles there is purpose if we are willing to endure. Like the three kings you will find your treasure.
May the star of Christ carry you through life, may you not lose focus and trust in His mercy to guide you.

Daily Thoughts 1-2-2016 1 John 2:27

"As for you, the anointing that you received from him remains in you, so that you do not need anyone to teach you. But his anointing teaches you about everything and is true and not false; just as it taught you, remain in him."
I watched a good movie yesterday on Netflix's called The Woodcarver. I highly recommend watching it, it ties into the verse above. Deep down we know what is right and what is wrong. Sometimes we need some insight into which way we should go.
WWJD, what would Jesus Do? If everyone would stop and think WWJD, the choice would be easy. As you move into the Nee Year, ask yourself -What would Jesus Do?
Enjoy your day and be blessed knowing that Jesus is right there with you.

Daily Thoughts 1-1-2016 Galatians 4:7
"So you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son then also an heir, through God."
Our inheritance is an amazing gift! I attended a funeral yesterday of a good man. Like Mary who said yes and bore the Son of God, He said yes and bore the Son of man. It was an amazing service filled with the Spirit of God.
He was not a slave to the ways of the world. He was an heir through God. Have you accepted your inheritance? A lot happens in a year, this coming year will be no different.
May the light of Christ shine thru you, may you be blessed with peace in your heart and may you be filled with the Spirit in 2016 - Happy New Year!
