Daily Thoughts 8-27-2016 1 Corinthians 1:28

1 Corinthians 1:2&

"and God chose the lowly and despised of the world, those who count for nothing, to reduce to nothing those who are something,"
‭‭
I watched a good movie last night, "McFarland, USA".  It was about migrant workers who dominated cross country meets in California.  They had nothing of worldly value, but they were rich.  Family, faith and community was important to them.

Are you rich with these gifts(family, faith and community).  Or does your pride come from other things?   We seek what the world gives but only Jesus can give what brings happiness.  Maybe it is time to think of Him and boast of Him.

Dear Heavenly Father, each day you give us is a gift.  Help us eliminate our prideful ways.  Help us see the beauty that is around us.  Help us see joy in what ever you ask of us.  Help us answer Your call.  Send us Your Holy Spirit and allow us to be sensitive to His promptings.  In Jesus name, Amen.  Mary, Most Beautiful, pray for us.

54 day Novena for our country, day 13, Glorious Mysteries.

1 John 4:4b
"The one that is in you is greater than the one who is in the world."
