How long have people been praying to God?  Just look through out history and you will see that even the most primitive of people turned to a higher power.  Definitely unorthodox but in their own simple way they realized there was a something or someone that was greater than them.  

What about you, are you being lead along a ancient path?   Do you start your day in prayer and thinking about the God of the universe.   When you stop and just realize that all of mankind looked to the heavens for answers.   It is when our own pride gets in the way is when we get ourselves into difficulty.  

Dear Lord God, I am only a spec of sand in the sands of time but I thank You for leading me on Your path.   May I always remember it is You that is ultimately in control.  Bring peace into the storms of life and guide each of us to the destiny that you are calling us too.  I thank You Lord for healing hearts and opening minds to Your immense beauty that surrounds us.  Bless your people Lord with the desire to serve You, I ask this in Jesus name, amen.

Daily Thoughts 9-29-2016 Revelation 12:7

"Then war broke out in heaven; Michael and his angels battled against the dragon. The dragon and its angels fought back," Rev. 12:7‬

Today is the feast day of the Archangels, Saint Michael, Saint Gabriel and Saint Raphael.  Have you stopped and thought about the fight that goes on each day with good and evil.  We each know that it is a real fight that occurs all the time.  

"For our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness, with the evil spirits in the heavens."  Ephesians‬ ‭6:12‬.  Prayer and the word of God are our shield in our daily journey.  We know how the story ends, it is just everything in the middle we have to find out each day.  

Dear Lord God, Thank You for giving each of us a guardian angel to watch over us each day.  Thank You St. Michael being our defender in battle, may we remember to call upon him each day as we awake.  Watch over us today St. Michael and be our protection against the snares of the devil.  May we help each other in our journeys to bring more of Christ into the world.  I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Psalms 88:10-11

"my eyes grow dim from trouble. All day I call on you, LORD; I stretch out my hands to you. Do you work wonders for the dead? Do the shades arise and praise you? Selah"

Job never lost His faith in our Heavenly Father, He always called out to Him in good times and in bad.   We have a tendency to doubt God when we have troubles.  Do not fall prey to the devil.  Our unbelief works against us.  

Do as this Psalm says, "all day I call out to you Lord, I stretch out my hands to You". God hears every plea and will work wonders as long as we continue to turn to Him.  We are in a spiritual war every day why more than we realize.  Be open to the Holy Spirit and put on your battle armor.  

Lord God, I turn to You this morning and pray for those lost in their troubles.   Open their eyes to the wonders of Your works in their lives.  Show them mercy Lord and bring them back into the fold.  Protect us Lord as we go into battle today and send Your angels to watch over our families.  To You Lord Jesus be the honor and the glory, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 9-27-2016 Romans 8:17

Romans 8:17

"and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if only we suffer with him so that we may also be glorified with him."
‭

God's message of salvation is a simple one, that is why we must be child like and accept what He tells us.    If we are heirs of God, we are His children and we are joint heirs with Jesus Christ His Son.  

Jesus accepted His course in life, the good and the bad.   If we are joint heirs then we too must accept the good and bad.  Do not buy into the message of the world that it is all good for glory does not come with out pain.  Our path here is preparing us for eternity with our Abba Father.  

Dear Lord Jesus, it is You that shows us the way, may we accept our covenant family to help prepare us for eternity with You and the Father.  Bring light into our day and peace into our heart as we journey closer and closer to our destination.  May we remember Your suffering and know that You suffered on our behalf so may we no longer be held back.  May we be obedient to what You are asking each of us and remember no pain no gain.  In Your most Holy name, Jesus, Amen.

Job 1:21

"He said, "Naked I came forth from my mother's womb, and naked shall I go back there. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD!""

Could you say, "blessed be the name of the Lord", after having all that was important taking from you?  I would have to admit it would be a struggle, but Job knew that it was God who gave it and therefore there must be a good reason to have it taken away.  

There are times in life when we will all deal with situations that cause pain and suffering.  In these times more than any other we must be like Job and bless the name of the Lord. The situations don't  make sense but over time God reveals the purpose in it.  Bless be the name of The LORD! 

Dear Lord God, You are amazing!  I thank You for Your friendship this morning and listening to my thoughts.  You always have the right answers.  I do question why at times but I know I am also learning to trust more and more in You.  Bless Your people Lord with understanding and a desire to praise you in all situations.    I ask this through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer, Amen.

"Compete well for the faith."

You ever look at a crucifix with Jesus on it?   This is what it means to compete well for the faith.  He left nothing behind, He didn't hold anything back, He left all of His self behind.   He gave when it didn't make sense in human terms.  

Do each of us truly give like Jesus did?   Jesus doesn't ask us too, He just wants us to see what He sees and do something.   Staying within the comfort of ones self isn't giving.  Hanging on to your own selfish desires isn't competing.  Lay hold of eternal life by giving.  

Dear Lord God, I thank You for looking down from Heaven and giving each of us what we need.  I thank You for speaking Your words of truth to my heart.   May I see what you see and respond as you would respond.  Do not let my heart become hardened by situations in this world.  May I focus on You when I am in need and allow You to comfort me.   I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 90:12

"Teach us to count our days aright, that we may gain wisdom of heart."

Time is fleeting, when you are young you don't really think about it.  As you get older you begin to see how fast the clock really ticks.  Through out our life God is always there, are we making good use of the time He gives us?   Are we living for us or are we living for Him?

Wisdom comes from listening to the ones that have gone before you or by your own experience.  Our Teacher allows us to figure it out.  As you look through out time, there is only one name that stands the test of time and it is Jesus.  Why not learn from the Master, listen to Him so you may count your days aright.  

Dear God, you know my days, I turn to You to seek guidance.  Help me see how I may count my days aright. I only want to live for you, allow my heart to see Lord God.  Give us all wisdom of heart Lord God so we may grow closer to You and Your will.  I ask this thru your most holy name, Jesus.

Luke 9:22

"He said, "The Son of Man must suffer greatly and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed and on the third day be raised.""

When Jesus said this to the disciples they didn't comprehend what He was telling them. Now after His resurrection they fully understand. Even in His presence and Him speaking plainly they didn't grasp God at work until it was revealed to them.

Isn't it like that for us, we do not fully comprehend how God is working His plan. I am sure glad the Triune God has this for I would make a mess out of it. Things don't always go the way we hope but ultimately God will work His plan of resurrection and them we will understand. How are we to know the workings of God.

Dear Heavenly Father, You know our hopes and dreams, may we be at peace with the outcome. Strengthen our hearts Lord God and help us realize You are always at work in our lives. Lord, may we be obedient servants to Your will and may we be a blessing to this day. In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 9-22-2016 Ecclesiastes 1:2-4

Ecclesiastes 1:2-4

"Vanity of vanities, says Qoheleth, vanity of vanities! All things are vanity!  What profit has man from all the labor which he toils at under the sun?  One generation passes and another comes, but the world forever stays."

What is vanity?  Excessive pride in one's achievements or appearance.   If one is thinking of nothing but himself then it is vanity, for no matter what you achieve there isn't enough.  Life's only meaning is to gain for selfish reasons.   

We are all placed here in this time for a purpose and that is to follow the will of God for our lives.  When doing God's will then what ever comes your way isn't in vain for it was done for Him.  The world will stay but will be different for God has worked through you to make it a better place.  

Dear Heavenly Father, we are blessed to have You in our lives each day.  May we see that our own vain pursuits will not gain what the heart and soul truly desires.  Help us see our divine purpose in our daily callings.  May we always live in your grace and accept what comes our way with thanksgiving and gratitude.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 9-21-2016 Matthew 9:12

Matthew 9:12

"He heard this and said, "Those who are well do not need a physician, but the sick do."
‭‭

Are you one of Jesus's physicians? Or are you one of the sick?  We grow in Christ and in fact we can be both depending what is going on in our life.  In order to need a physician you must first know you are sick.  This is the beginning.  

We are each called upon to be one of His physicians if we are followers of Christ.  You can't help unless you have the knowledge to help.  What do you see when you go into the world, there is a lot of need and confusion.  As I like to say Jesus is the cure, it is His mercy that is needed every day to  be in action.  Continue studying in order to get your PH.D., it is called sainthood.  

Lord God, strengthen us today and give us the knowledge and words to be able to help those in need.  May we see with Your eyes and hear with Your ears and speak with Your voice when we go out.  Heal those in need Lord God and  may we share Your mercy with others.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Luke 8:21

"He said to them in reply, "My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and act on it.""
‭‭

Who is your counselor?  Do you allow God to speak to you and then act upon it.  I have been known to stick my foot in it, I know some of you find this hard to believe.  I turn to God and He speaks, either in His word, through.a friend or in a homily.  

Now if I just listen and don't act then I am a stranger to the One speaking to me.  If I take what was said onboard and act upon it then I am His.  It is really that simple, act upon it.  Step out on faith and act upon it.  Or continue to be lost in your own ways, the choice is yours.  

Lord God, we can be lost to you in our own desires and not hear or see you in our lives.  Welcome us into your covenant family, allow us to be open to your message.  It was You who healed the sick and the lame, reach out and bring the lost home Lord Jesus.   Please forgive me for my transgressions today and over come my short comings.   I ask this through Jesus Christ, our Great Redeemer, Amen.

Hebrews 10:35-36

"Therefore, do not throw away your confidence; it will have great recompense. You need endurance to do the will of God and receive what he has promised."

How does one gain confidence? - Daily actions.  It is built up over time with right actions.  It doesn't take much to lose it, one or two failures and you start over again.  What actions do you need, to increase your Godly confidence?  Do you push yourself?

The reward of Godly confidence is eternal.  The will of God takes time, it isn't an immediate reward.   Take each day one at a time, ask God for endurance to run His race.  Be patient with yourself and those around you.   When the race is over and you have followed the will of God, then your reward will be great.  

Dear Lord God, I trust in You.  Guide my actions today so my Godly confidence may increase.  May I be patient with myself and those I encounter.  May I listen to Your will and act upon Your directions.   May I forgive myself for my slip ups and recall your grace to help on my journey.  I thank You for another week Lord God to do Your will.  I am grateful for Your blessings in my life and I hope for eternity.  In Jesus name, Amen.

1 Tim 2:8

"It is my wish, then, that in every place the men should pray, lifting up holy hands, without anger or argument."

I listened to several people recently speaking about lifting up holy hands and praying to God.  Their prayers were answered.   One was recalling a childhood memory another was teaching their grandchildren.   They were both women so I don't thing God is speaking to just the men.   

Coming before God with honesty and gentleness in your heart prepared for what ever God has in store is what I think this verse is telling us.  Prayer is powerful, God hears all your prayers and answers then in His time and in His way.   His answer is always perfect and sometimes it hurts and isn't what you wanted.  

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for answered prayer, I thank You for joy being brought back into a dark place.  Watch over Your children and help us come to you with hands lifted up in prayer and thanksgiving.  Lord heal the broken hearted and help them see You in their day.   Lord, we are Your children, may we remain at peace and come before you with open arms.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 42:16

"I will lead the blind on a way they do not know; by paths they do not know I will guide them. I will turn darkness into light before them, and make crooked ways straight. These are my promises: I made them, I will not forsake them."

Have you embraced the Word of God?   God promises us to make crooked ways straight but we must embrace His word in order for this to happen.  "But as for the seed that fell on rich soil, they are the ones who, when they have heard the word, embrace it with a generous and good heart, and bear fruit through perseverance." Lk 8:15

God leads those who have heard the word and embraced it.   He guides you to where he knows the best soil is at for You to bear fruit.  Why put up roadblocks to God, He is trying to make your path straight and easier, can you not see that?

Lord God, I know I am hard headed and think I know where I am going, help me trust in you.  I am sorry for getting frustrated at times, You are the King of kings, I only want to please You.  Help me see the best way forward for I am blinded by my own desires.  I ask this through Jesus Christ, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 9-16-2016 Romans 8:26

Romans 8:26

"In the same way, the Spirit too comes to the aid of our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit itself intercedes with inexpressible groanings."

Do you know that God's Holy Spirit intercedes for us in powerful ways.  I would like you to think about how the Holy Spirit has gotten involved in your life.  Do you recognize His presence or guidance in different areas of your life.   He strengthens you for the journey, those areas that are weak, He gives you strength and you may not of even noticed.  

This is called being mentored by the Holy Spirit.  He is a constant companion always knowing what each of us needs.  He sends others to cross our path to show us the way or for us to help along the way.  Give thanks today for the Holy Spirit for He knows are needs and relays the message so we can get help.  Praise God for His Holy Spirit!!

Dear Lord God, there is joy in my step because of Your intercession, I didn't know what I needed but my Mentor the Holy Spirit did.   I love You, Holy Spirit, words can not convey the message.  We give you thanks today for leading us on the journey.  Thank You for the peace that resides in my heart.  Thank You for the healing even when I didn't know what needed healed.  Come Holy Spirit and enliven our spirits so we may be the feet, the hands, the eyes and the voice of Jesus to those in need.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 118:16-17

"the LORD's right hand is raised; the LORD's right hand works valiantly.  I shall not die but live and declare the deeds of the LORD."

To witness God at work is a beautiful thing.  To watch Him take brokenness and bring new life is absolutely beautiful.  God works valiantly in all our lives, we just have to pay attention.  That work is done thru each of us every day.  

And when your job is done you shall not die, you just move on.  You take your last breath here and your first on the other side.  To know that thru out our lives God never forsakes us but works valiantly to grant us His grace is a beautiful thing.  Maybe you need to ask for it

Dear Lord God, as we begin another day may we always think of You thru out the day.  May we praise You with our actions Lord.  Bring Your peace into our brokenness, let us feel Your love in our times of need.  May we always remember that there is purpose in everything.  I ask this in Your most Holy Name, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Numbers 21:5

"so the people complained against God and Moses, "Why have you brought us up from Egypt to die in the wilderness, where there is no food or water? We are disgusted with this wretched food!""

Can you imagine the excitement to be brought out of slavery?   What about the disappointment of wandering in the desert?  God has each of us on a journey, and through out that journey there is going to be peaks and valleys.  Times of joy and sadness or another way to say that, is feelings of consolation and desolation.  

That is your life, through all of that, God is seeing if you see the beauty that is all around you.   When we are in the wilderness do we just sit still and let God speak to us?   Even though you are hungry, thirsty, and maybe in pain, do you listen or do you yell at the captain of the ship?

Dear merciful Father,  the wilderness is a desolate place, only you know why we must experience it.   Give us food and water for the journey.  Quench our souls Lord and fortify our spirits so we are prepared for the promised land.   I thank you for Your grace and I praise Your holy name, Amen.

1 Corinthians 12:13

"For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, slaves or free persons, and we were all given to drink of one Spirit."
‭‭

There is only one body of Christ and we are baptized into this body only once by water, whether as a child, young adult or grown.  Anyone, no matter their denomination, is baptized into the body of Christ.   You don't need to do it again.  

The Spirit of God moves each of us differently if we are in communion with Him.  All these different faiths have their own beliefs but there is only one body of Christ.   Are you in communion with the body of Christ?  Do you partake of the manna from Heaven? John 6:53 

Dear Lord God, our lives are a parable which we are writing each day.  Help us see You as the guiding force.  Bring back joy to those that are lost, lead your people back home.  Awaken our souls for the glory of You.   I thank you in advance for answered prayers, You always know how to reach the lost sheep.  Protect us Lord from all anxiety and may we seek you in the still of the day.  Amen.

Daily Thoughts 9-12-2016 Luke 7:6-7

Luke 7:6-7

"And Jesus went with them, but when he was only a short distance from the house, the centurion sent friends to tell him, "Lord, do not trouble yourself, for I am not worthy to have you enter under my roof. Therefore, I did not consider myself worthy to come to you; but say the word and let my servant be healed."
‭‭

The centurion truly didn't feel worthy to have Jesus call on Him.  Jews and the Roman elite didn't get along.  He was a man of authority and knew Jesus could heal his slave.  Jesus knew the mans heart, He knew he had compassion for his slave.  

We go through life covering ourselves up and all we have to do is send for Jesus.  Don't cover up God's creation with shame and guilt, you are worthy, for just like the centurion God knows your heart and Grace wins every time.   You have a voice and God needs it, for there are a lot of slaves that are in need of His healing.  You are worthy!! You are worthy!!! Can I get an amen and a Hallelujah! Praise God - You Are Worthy

Dear Heavenly Father, You amaze me, Your Holy Spirit is the true teacher.  Thank You for sending Him, He knows how to make room in our lives for His covenant family.  Lord, give all of us a voice, to reach out to others and bring the light of Christ to those in pain with the most simplest of actions.   Bless your servants Lord, especially those who have a givers heart.  I ask this in the name of Jesus.

"Lord, you will open my lips; and my mouth will proclaim your praise.

What a Glorious weekend, it is hard to explain being able to witness the Gospel in action.  Today's Readings speak of unbelief, the lost and intercession.  I witnessed this first hand at a retreat this weekend and let me tell you there is Joy in Heaven this morning.  

Sharing the Gospel with others and be willing to allow God to work through you will change lives.  You will be Moses interceding for God's people.  Be humble of heart and let your guard down, watch what God, the King of the universe can do.  

P.S.  There is more to the Catholic Faith then you realize - come home

Dear Lord God, there is Joy in my heart, my cup overflows.  Praise be Your Holy Name, Thank You Jesus for bringing the lost sheep home.  Make me meek and humble as well as a willing servant.  May I be super sensitive to Your Holy Spirit to allow You to reach others.  Lord, I ask for one willing Spirit today, that's all I ask. When you lower and empty yourself before My majesty, I then pursue you with My graces and make use of My omnipotence to exalt you (Diary, 576).

Building your foundation in life isn't easy, not my will be done but Thy will be done.  Do you listen to The Triune God?   Your spirit knows when God is speaking to you.   Listen and follow His direction.  

Swallow your pride and step out on faith.  I did this recently, I remember thinking really God, you want me to do that.  I didn't want to but I did anyway.  WOW, I am over the moon that I listened and DID what God asked of me.  What about you, are you doing what God asks of you?

Lord, I am not worthy to have You enter under my roof; only say the word and my servant will be healed. Matthew 8:8. Praise be the name of Jesus!

1 Corinthians 9:26-27

"Thus I do not run aimlessly; I do not fight as if I were shadowboxing. No, I drive my body and train it, for fear that, after having preached to others, I myself should be disqualified."

The race of life, we are all in it.  Do you have purpose in your actions?  Do you know who is out to beat you? Each day begins the training, in the quiet of the morning.  Do you train and prepare for the day ahead.  

What does your heart say to you, the race of life is over once our breath is gone.  Are you using the gifts God has given you?   Do you let the master train you?  Do you sit at His feet each day and take direction.  There has to be purpose in order for you to win, no one ever won by just showing up on competition day unprepared.  

Dear Heavenly Father, I am all ears and pray I am willing to follow Your direction.  I thank You for Your gentle touch and reassuring hand upon my shoulder.  Together we are destined to win, please correct me when I veer off path and never let me leave your side.  Protect us from the enemy, may we always be two steps ahead of him.  I ask this in Your most holy name, Jesus Christ, Amen.  Mary, our Dearest Mother, pray for us.

Matthew 1:23

"Behold, the virgin shall be with child and bear a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel," which means "God is with us."

Have you ever considered the role that Mary plays in our salvation? Without her, we would not have Jesus. The strength that she must of had to say yes, she knew the consequences of being unwed and pregnant in her day and time. The rejection that she must of felt as she went about.

For some this hasn't changed, they do not want to recognize her role in their salvation. She was hand picked by God to bring Jesus into the world, to bring unity in God's covenant family. She is part of God's family, is she part of yours?

Dear Lord God, please open the door for faith communities to be united as one. Help others understand the role Mary plays in their Christian walk and how she points the way to Jesus. May we all grow in our devotion to God's covenant family, not neglecting any of its members. In Jesus name, Amen. Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us.

What do you hope for? God is always in our midst and should always be in our thoughts. Do you place your dreams and hopes on things that are passing away? It is good to strive but remember once accomplished then the satisfaction is fleeting.

There is one constant that never changes and always satisfies and that is the Triune God. There is always constant change in the world, nothing ever stays the same except God. With God at the center of your life, no matter what is going on around you, you will always be satisfied and striving at the same time.

Dear Lord God, ground us in Your presence, give us the grace of understanding of the things that change in our world. Let us see You in action in our lives and draw us closer to You. Be the constant in our lives Lord God and may we share You with others. Amen. Mary, Queen of Heaven, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 9-6-2016 Luke 6:19

Luke 6:19

"Everyone in the crowd sought to touch him because power came forth from him and healed them all."

Jesus is the cure, every one who reaches out to Jesus is cured.  What would you do if Jesus was waking about and you knew of His healing power?   Pretty obvious that you would seek Him out just to confirm if it was true for yourself.  

Why not now, can Jesus not perform these miracles today?  I believe He does.  Every one is seeking for the cure all and Jesus is in their midst, do they reach out?  You are His disciples, you emanate His power with your life, are you demonstrating His healing touch?   Just a thought for the day.  

Dear Lord Jesus, it is You that heals the sick, makes the blind see and the lame walk.  May we demonstrate Your healing touch with our lives.  The world is in need of your healing touch Lord, may it be done thru us.   May we be like the blind man and tell all that we meet what You have done for us.   I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.  Mary, Most Pure, pray for us.

I am sure you have heard the saying, if you lay with dogs you are sure to get fleas.  The people that we associate with impact who we are and vice versa.   Look around you, are you out numbered in your beliefs?

What about yourself?  Have you taken an inventory of your ways?  Are you letting the world influence you or is the resurrection of Christ in your spirit.   We can always start where we are at, ask Jesus to help and just watch what happens.  Is it time to become a fresh batch of dough?

Dear Heavenly Father, You never cease to amaze me.  Be the reason for our actions today.   May we constantly reflect upon You today and Your word Lord God.  Protect our families Lord God, bring Your joy and peace into our midst.   May you be the only yeast that influences us today.  I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.  Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us.

Wisdom 9:15

"For the corruptible body burdens the soul and the earthly tent weighs down the mind with its many concerns."

Why do we let our past control our future?   There are so many things that occur in ones life and yet we decide to carry all that stuff with us, Why?   I think it is because we don't know Jesus or don't fully trust Him yet.  

I watch others and see how they let things get in the way.  This isn't freedom, freedom is found in Christ.  Jesus takes all our burdens away from us.  He frees us from our own jail cells.  Lay those sins, burdens and concerns at the cross and live life.  

Dear Lord, following You is not easy but coming to know You it is the only option.  Send Your Holy Spirit Lord and set the captives free.  Allow them to sing praise to you with their lives.  Bless us Lord with wisdom and vision, vision to see Your heart.  Lord, thank You for another day and to witness Your wonderful creations all around us.  Triune God, pray for us.  Mary, our Blessed Mother, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 9-3-2016 Psalms 143:8

Psalms 143:8

"In the morning let me hear of your mercy, for in you I trust. Show me the path I should walk, for I entrust my life to you."

How do you start your day?  Do you just jump out of bed and get going?  Do you stop and speak with Jesus and ask for his help?  I have come to realize that God does speak to us.  When things are going on in your life and you are trusting on God, He does show you mercy.  He does let you know that He is listening to you.   

A relationship is built upon trust, trusting in each other that they are making the right move.  You have to trust in God every day no matter what  is going on around you.  There are somethings only He can handle and with your eyes focused on Him you can preserver.  

Lord God, only You know my heart, I entrust my life to You.  I thank You for Your kindness and compassion in my life.  You know the struggles of Your people Lord, help them on their journey.  Give them hope for tomorrow and may the love of Christ be in all our hearts.   In Jesus name, Amen.  Mary, Mother of God, pray for us.

1 Corinthians 4:1

"Thus should one regard us: as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God."

Are you a steward of the mysteries of God?  You have to know the mysteries in order to be a steward.  Knowing the power of God and then trusting in Him to walk in His light.  Do others see Christ within at all times, even when things aren't going your way?

Being a servant of Christ takes effort, it is a conscious decision to follow him.  It is something that can not be forced upon someone.  This is the mystery once you have received it then you understand.  It is knowing to guard your actions because the Master is in control.  

Dear Lord God, only You know my thoughts this morning.  I pray I am a good steward of Your mysteries.  I struggle with why today but I Trust in You with all my heart.  I pray for those that are in need of more of You.  Answer their prayers Lord God, enliven their lives with Your mystery.  I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.  Mother Mary, our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us.

Luke 5:8-9

"When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at the knees of Jesus and said, "Depart from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man." For astonishment at the catch of fish they had made seized him and all those with him,"

Even though Simon Peter was a sinful man, God still blessed him, why? I think it was because he was obedient to Jesus, Simon could follow direction. He was tired and had fished all night but he listened to the master. He didn't give up, even though there didn't appear to be any fruit for his labor.

"and likewise James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were partners of Simon. Jesus said to Simon, "Do not be afraid; from now on you will be catching men.""

We think we have to have everything just right so we can move forward. We think we are not worthy to do God's work. This isn't what Jesus said, He knew Simon Peter's faults but He also knew his strengths. God uses you were you are, we just need to be obedient. Do not be afraid.

Dear Lord Jesus, there are days I do not feel like following, I thank You for reminding me to follow and to be obedient. We live in a crazy world Lord, give us more fishermen so You may have full nets upon your return. I thank you Lord for all Your blessings in my life. I thank You Lord for always showing ways of amazement! Amen. Mary, Queen of Heaven, pray for us.
