The Word Grace is in my thoughts this morning when I awoke. Grace is a free gift from God that allows us to do as He does. I contemplate the favors God has poured out this week. The favor of staying awake, the favor of holding my tongue, the favor of peace and calm in the midst of chaos, the favor of patience. We all ask for these things and we seek God to help us. Do you recognize the grace of God when it is presented to you? God opens the gates and we at times seek ways to close them because we miss the favor of grace. Think about what you are praying for, then think about how is God answering that prayer. Most likely it is not black and white but He is answering. Are you asking for strength and then given an opportunity for His strength only to say no? God is providing but are you perceiving the graces He wishes to bestow upon you. God is answering your prayers, ask for the grace to recognize the opportunities and be open to the answer.
Thank You Jesus, Thank You Jesus for the perceptions of grace in my life. May I be SUPER SENSITIVE to Your favor that You are pouring out. Open my eyes to see, open my ears to hear, open my heart to respond. May I recognize You and not say no, may I not over think it and talk myself out of it. You are my hope and You are my Savior. Rise up in me to overcome my weaknesses. Give us the grace of surrender to Your Holy will for our lives. To You be the glory, to You be the victory and may we walk in the favor of God today. Amen.
Mary, Sweet Mother of God, Pray for us.
Divine Mercy Novena Ninth Day
Today bring to Me SOULS WHO HAVE BECOME LUKEWARM, and immerse them in the abyss of My mercy. These souls wound My Heart most painfully. My soul suffered the most dreadful loathing in the Garden of Olives because of lukewarm souls. They were the reason I cried out: "Father, take this cup away from Me, if it be Your will." For them, the last hope of salvation is to flee to My mercy (Diary, 1228).
My Prayer Response with St. Faustina:
Most compassionate Jesus, You are Compassion Itself. I bring lukewarm souls into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart. In this fire of Your pure love, let these tepid souls, who, like corpses, filled You with such deep loathing, be once again set aflame. O Most Compassionate Jesus, exercise the omnipotence of Your mercy and draw them into the very ardor of Your love, and bestow upon them the gift of holy love, for nothing is beyond Your power (Diary, 1229).
