Genesis Chapter 40 8-20-2019 www.Dailythoughts.com

"They answered him, "We have had dreams, but there is no one to interpret them." Joseph said to them, "Do interpretations not come from God? Please tell me the dreams."" Genesis‬ ‭40:8‬

Life or death.  Joesph is given the gift of interpreting dreams from God.  He listens to the voice of God and follows His direction.  Joesph has to pass along good news to the Chief cupbearer and bad news to the Chief baker.  The Chief baker will die in three days, and Joesph has to suffer with this knowledge and I am sure wondered what the purpose was in this.  I pondered this chapter today trying to grasp what message God has in it.   He is the wine of new life and He is the bread of life.   There is no good news without the cross.  When striving for God, there will be ups and downs, there will be growth and seeming nothingness, there will be joy and there will be suffering.  Ponder His word all the days of your life.

What is God saying to me: I see beyond today, I ask that you trust Me with the circumstances of everyday life, even the challenges.

Dear Father, You see all, I only see now and what I hope for.  I wonder what Your message is in all of it and how I am to respond.  I do trust in You, some days I am the cupbearer and others I am the baker.  In all of it, I accept the outcome for You are on the inside leading our paths.  May we choose wisely the way forward, may we not delay in heeding Your direction.  In all of these circumstances, You are bringing together Your salvation plan for our redemption, I thank You for that.  Prayers for the lost and the unknown, prayers for those dealing with the suffering of truth, may they see beyond the here and now and see You at work.   I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
