A Bible verse to begin or end the day with. Guided by the Holy Spirit, I publish a daily thought to help keep The Triune God in the center of my life and through out the day. I am not a biblical scholar just a normal guy that tries to live a Christ centered life. He will return, we are called to be His eyes, His hands, His feet, His Ears, His Voice and His Body. Jesus, I trust in You! "Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world." 1 John 4:4b

Leviticus Chapter 16, 10-25-2019 www.dailythoughts.com
This, then, shall be an everlasting statute for you: once a year atonement shall be made on behalf of the Israelites for all their sins. And Moses did as the LORD had commanded him." Leviticus 16:30-31, 34
Is Jesus your scapegoat? Once a year the Israelites would have a day of atonement, a holy day of obligation, and they would be cleansed from their sins by putting them on the back of a goat and sending it into the desert. Sounds really simple doesn't it, one day a year your sins were wiped out. What happens the other 364 days of the year? You don't sin? We all know we are sinners must we wait for once a year to be cleansed of all our sins. The day of atonement was Good Friday, this is the everlasting statue, He bore all so we could live forever. Our challenge is to recognize who died for us each day we walk with Him. He knows our weaknesses and our human frailties but He shows us how to live. Live your faith in Christ by avoiding sin and when you fail, recognize He is there to pick you up to go again. Be at peace, God will not forsake you, He is our atonement for sin and will not be denied.

On the eighth day the individual shall take two unblemished male lambs, one unblemished yearling ewe lamb, three tenths of an ephah of bran flour mixed with oil for a grain offering, and one log of oil. The priest who performs the purification ceremony shall place the person who is being purified, as well as all these offerings, before the LORD at the entrance of the tent of meeting." Dear Father, You always give words of encouragement at just the right time, thank You for speaking thru another so I may hear. I pray for the sick, those that seem perfect but our saying "unclean". I pray for the surgeons that go in to cure, protect them with Your mighty hand Lord, watch over us that we do not become like those You seek to cure. Father all I want to do is praise You and you say "Go", I will go and You will lead, be our protection today as we enter Your day. In Jesus name, Amen.

Aaron answered Moses, "Even though they presented their purification offering and burnt offering before the LORD today, still this misfortune has befallen me. Had I then eaten of the purification offering today, would it have been pleasing to the LORD?" On hearing this, Moses was satisfied."

Leviticus Chapter 8, 10-17-2019 www.dailythoughts.com
God prepares His people and the altar for the sacrificial mass, Moses not knowing the future listens to the authority of God. God gives instructions knowing that these instructions will purify His people that are obedient and prepare the future for His Son to be slaughtered and offered up as our sacrificial offering for the atonement of our sins. Understanding the past helps us better understand the future. God clearly tells us what is central to His commands. Each day we go into the world and it tries like the dickens to capture us, going to God and His Holy Family keeps us out of the grips of the devil. God didn't say His commands would be easy but like Moses they are to be honored. Live today as if it was your last would you treat people the same as you did yesterday?
What is God saying to me: I am by your side during this period, fear not, I also give you commands be obedient thru out the day.
Dear Lord God, I see Jesus Living His life being a contradiction to the world around Him, may we live as He did and not fall into the trap. Prayers for this day Lord, for the blessings of parents who are still with us. Prayers for others and myself, that do not always listen to Your voice. Thank You Father for the knowledge of being here before You have prepared the way, may we be faithful to You. Prayers for healing for a young lady dealing with a tumor, You are so good to us Father, we are blessed beyond measure. I ask this in the Holy Name of Jesus, Amen.

Leviticus Chapter 7, 10-16-2019 www.dailythoughts.com
What a journey God's people have been on and still on. Reading scripture with the knowledge we have today knowing Jesus died for our sins. Is He your offering? Are you His offering? As I read chapter 7 it was with the knowledge that Jesus is the offering, the Israelites had quite a feast, lots of symbolism in this chapter and in the knowledge I receive the body and blood of Jesus every time I go to mass. Knowing God, reveals who we are and what His purpose is, are you willing to sacrifice and bring it to the Altar?
What is God saying to me: You see through time and how I repeat the importance of your sacrifice and willingness to obey even when at times you may not feel like it.
Dear Lord God, I love You and love the mystery of Your Word, I love seeing the symbolism when reading and seeing the offering being held high. There is a richness that requires sacrifice and should not seek comfort. Instill within us the desire to seek You more and more each day. Thank You Father for revealing these mysterious, may we not take them for granted and may we live them in our lives as we offer up this day in prayer. In Jesus name, Amen

Thus the priest shall make atonement on the person's behalf for the wrong committed, that the individual may be forgiven."
Leviticus 4:2, 35
When we sin and are not aware of it, are we guilty of sinning? We are once we become aware of it and according to God's Word, the priest shall make atonement on our behalf. A lot of us struggle with the need to go to a priest but God intended we have them. Without the priest there is no sacrifice on the altar, there is no atonement for our sins whether intended sin or unintended sin. Who do you think wants to eliminate the priest? Who has the most to gain when the priest no longer has a role in our lives? Satan. Living God's Word as He intended breathes life into us, His word breathes truth into our spirit. Live it.
What is God saying to me: intended or not, it still violates My Word, I banished Adam and Eve for not obeying. Live My Word in your life.
Dear Father, You are loving and caring, You seek to teach us the truth and to live it in our lives. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit as we search for meaning in our lives. Show us where we are sinning and may not be aware of offending You. Forgive me Father when I do, I place my heart and soul in Your care, I trust in You. Bless this day Father, bless Your people and enlighten us with Your Word, in Jesus name, Amen.

Exodus Chapter 1 10-10-2019 www.dailythoughts.com
Sacred and sacrifice, these are the words being spoken in my thoughts this morning. The sacredness of the tent of the meeting, can you envision the sense of sacredness that must of existed, it was holy ground. Also the sacrifice that was made by bringing the offering and the sacrifice of the animal. How far have we strayed from what God desires? Do we sacrifice when going to church or if you don't feel like it, you just stay home. Could it be that the sacredness of who God is, is not in your life, or could be stronger. There is hidden treasures within His word waiting to be discovered. Our worship should be sacred, we enter holy ground when in His presence and sacrifice of self is key. It is not about "I", that's God's part for you.

Just as the LORD had commanded Moses, so the Israelites had carried out all the work. So when Moses saw that all the work was done just as the LORD had commanded, he blessed them." Exodus 39:32, 42-43
God said and so it was. God paints a picture of what His house of worship looks like. As you read Chapter 39, it gives great detail on what was made. All these materials were in the community, everyone played a part in building God's house. Sometimes we may feel insignificant but without your contributions in God's house it is incomplete. Each household gave to help build the temple of God. Each day as you begin, sit in quiet contemplation and allow God to bless you, He gives back what you give. There is a sense of joy in knowing in some small way, your efforts do not go unnoticed by God. Be blessed today because God blesses you for what you do, it may go unnoticed but He sees your contribution. Keep fighting the good fight, beauty takes time to create.
What is God saying to me: Put on My armor, you do not fight alone.
Dear Father, there is beauty in the quiet of the morning, there is joy in the moments. You feed me, You mold me, You change me as we visit together, You see all even my shortcomings and love me anyway. Thank You for being by my side, for pushing me, for having me step out when I listen to You. Prayers for our leaders this morning, may they know that they are blessed by God to carry out what He asks, just like Moses. Take what I give today Lord and use it for Your glory, may I not hold back what You ask. Thank You for the armor once again. In Jesus name, Amen.

I close my eyes and I see God at work building the Sanctuary. The artisans are all working using their God given skills and bringing them to the Lord. The tapestries are being made, the yarn is being spun and the embroidery is being done. I see people helping other people, I see people praying for each other, I see people listening to each other and not judging. I see people speaking the truth with compassion. I see people giving of their time and their talent. This wasn't 6 or 7 thousand years ago, this was yesterday. Whether you know it or not, we each play a role in building the Sanctuary or in slowing the process down.
