Leviticus Chapter 22, 10-31-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Be careful to observe my commandments. I am the LORD. Do not profane my holy name, that in the midst of the Israelites I may be hallowed. I, the LORD, make you holy, who led you out of the land of Egypt to be your God. I am the LORD." Leviticus‬ ‭22:31-33‬

Sacred tradition - Chapter 22 details the sacrificial mass and how we need to present ourselves.  "Tell them: If any one of you, or of your descendants in any future generation, dares, while he is in a state of uncleanness, to draw near the sacred offerings which the Israelites consecrate to the LORD, such a one shall be cut off from my presence. I am the LORD." ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭22:3‬.  God speaks truth in His word.  Our understanding grows as we read what God said to Moses.  These are not man's laws or rules but what God established here on earth so we could become holy.  "The priests shall not allow the sacred offerings which the Israelites contribute to the LORD to be profaned" ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭22:15‬.  We present our exterior self which all can see and we present our interior soul which God and you can see.  Be holy, for I the LORD, am holy, it is a sacred tradition, present yourself worthy to the Lord.

What is God saying to me: I see you and I love what I see.  You are My creation, created for a purpose.  Go enjoy your day.

Dear Father, You are Holy, I ask that you make me Holy with the understanding of your word.  I see some blemishes that I need help with for I am weak but You are strong.  You know what I asked for and I know You are the Good Father.  Bless this day Lord, keep us warm as we venture out.  This day is my offering to You, be greater in me today than all that I will face.  Prayers for a sweet lady that has her hands full with work and sick family members, give her strength and peace to continue trusting in You.  Prayers for a friend who just found out he has cancer, You are Mighty God and You are Healing God, fill his body with Your Holy Spirit. Blessed be Your Holy name - Jeshua.  Amen.

Leviticus Chapter 21, 10-30-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Honor him as holy for he offers the food of your God; he shall be holy to you, because I, the LORD, am holy who make you holy." ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭21:8‬

He shall be holy to you.   Do we stop and think about the dedication and devotion a priest has.  In the Old Testament not everyone could be a priest only the tribe of Levi.  They were prepared from a very early age to be holy and without blemish.  Today they are not a certain tribe but in my opinion, they are prepared from a very early age to serve God.  We at times see them as men and not necessarily without blemish.  Remember they were called by God, set a part by God to make you holy with the Holy sacrifice upon the altar.  Be sure to treat them as such, they face the same challenges you do with a lot more responsibility.  It is He who offers the food of your God.  "Jesus said to them, "Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you."  John‬ ‭6:53‬

What is God saying to me: it all comes together if you give it time.

Dear Father, Thank You for this wonderful morning, there is joy in my heart, a fire in my soul and the day ahead.  You are in control and I am thankful.  I am blessed to know to wait upon you and recognize the simple things of life, like rain, traffic, free coffee, good priests, faithful servants, a beautiful wife, a dry roof over my head.  Thank You for all these blessings and the knowledge to know there are more to come.  Lord, the seeds are being planted and You are Mighty God and we thank You for all this.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Leviticus Chapter 20 10-29-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Do not conform, therefore, to the customs of the nations whom I am driving out of your way, because all these things that they have done have filled me with disgust for them. But to you I have said: You shall take possession of their land. I am giving it to you to possess, a land flowing with milk and honey. I, the LORD, am your God, who have set you apart from other peoples." Leviticus‬ ‭20:23-24‬

Where is God in your life?  Is He front and center?  Right along side? In the background or no where to be found?  The answer to this question determines if you are conformed to the constant beat of the culture around us.  Reading Chapter 20, God clearly states His abomination for child sacrifice(abortion), He clearly states His abomination of lewd sexual relationship, He is clear in His speech.  The message of the world stands against God.  We, His people, are not to conform to the way of the land but to stand against it as God sets you apart.  Reading scripture opens up truth:  "Do not conform yourselves to this age but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and pleasing and perfect. Romans‬ ‭12:2‬  Be transformed, in the end He wins. - FACT

What is God saying to me:

Dear Father, I see Your pain and Your love as You transform the world to what love is truly about.  Love without You isn't love, it is a lie.    Give us the mind of Jesus to overcome our weaknesses, give us the heart of Jesus to love You,  give us the compassion of Jesus to witness to Your truth.  I thank You Father for the lesson, for the gentle reminders to live in faith.  May we not forget to trust in You.  Bless this day Jesus, Thank You for the blessings of Your Mother, give us her strength.  In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Mary, Mother of Christ, pray for us.

Leviticus Chapter 19, 10-28-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"The LORD said to Moses: Speak to the whole Israelite community and tell them: Be holy, for I, the LORD your God, am holy.

Be careful, then, to observe all my statutes and decrees. I am the LORD." Leviticus‬ ‭19:1-2, 37‬

Be holy, for I, the LORD your God, am holy.  Can you see all the distractions, can you hear all the noise that is constantly trying to drown out God's message of being holy.  To be holy is very simple, not easy but simple, it is a way of life.  But as we have advanced and added more and more things to our lives, God's message gets lost in the shuffle.   How would our world be different if everyday one would sit and just listen to God speak?  Moses did just that and was a holy man, he observed the statues and decrees and did not fall victim to the schemes of the devil.   Being holy begins each morning at the feet of God and listening
to what God says, it is in seeing the Bible come to life in your world.  There is lots of noise in the world but being holy begins with a whisper, God speaks are you listening?

What is God saying to me: I will help, you be faithful to what I ask.  Even in the doubt you are to move forward.

Dear Father, may You be louder with Your whisper in our world.  Help us see holiness as a simple process of obeying what You ask each of us.  Help us pick up the Bible and listen to what You are saying to us.  May we be super sensitive to the promptings of Your Holy Spirit and may we be a pleasing offering to You this day.  Prayers for a young man in East Africa being guided by You, keep him safe, watch over him and may our Blessed Mother be his strength as she points to her Son, Jesus.  Prayers for this day and the blessings You wish to give.  In Jesus name, AMEN.

Leviticus Chapter 17, 10-26-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"since the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement on the altar for yourselves, because it is the blood as life that makes atonement." ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭17:11‬

Close your eyes and think about the blood pumping through your veins, it circulates oxygen thru out your entire body, it is life giving and you are just the vessel, God is the power behind your beating heart.  You can not make your heart beat only He can.  Do we bring all that we are to the altar?  Jesus did: "In the same way also the cup, after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me."" ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭11:25‬.  What we do is seen by God, all of it, nothing goes unseen, why not commit yourself to doing all for God.  Chapter 17 challenges us to do just that, to not waste our lifeblood.  "I urge you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, your spiritual worship." ‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:1‬.  Life is a journey, be a pleasing offering to God, be the sweet aroma, "Do this in remembrance of me."

What is God saying to me: Still more to do

Dear Father, I see many being pleasing offerings to You, bringing the gospel to life, what a joy that so many miss, by not being a part of a community.  Lead us Lord to a community that faithfully places itself upon Your Altar, that lifts up daily worship and gives of its lifeblood.  Prayers for a young man half way around the world giving of himself, prayers for a young lady giving her lifeblood to you in serving others, prayers for a faithful witness who has a spot on their lung, You are God and You are faithful to all.  Thank You for this day, may it be a pleasing offering to You.  In the name above every other name, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Leviticus Chapter 16, 10-25-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"For on this day atonement is made for you to make you clean; of all your sins you will be cleansed before the LORD. It shall be a sabbath of complete rest for you, on which you must humble yourselves—an everlasting statute.

This, then, shall be an everlasting statute for you: once a year atonement shall be made on behalf of the Israelites for all their sins. And Moses did as the LORD had commanded him." Leviticus‬ ‭16:30-31, 34‬

Is Jesus your scapegoat?  Once a year the Israelites would have a day of atonement, a holy day of obligation, and they would be cleansed from their sins by putting them on the back of a goat and sending it into the desert.  Sounds really simple doesn't it, one day a year your sins were wiped out.  What happens the other 364 days of the year?  You don't sin?  We all know we are sinners must we wait for once a year to be cleansed of all our sins.  The day of atonement was Good Friday, this is the everlasting statue, He bore all so we could live forever.  Our challenge is to recognize who died for us each day we walk with Him.  He knows our weaknesses and our human frailties but He shows us how to live.  Live your faith in Christ by avoiding sin and when you fail, recognize He is there to pick you up to go again.  Be at peace, God will not forsake you, He is our atonement for sin and will not be denied.

What is God saying to me: Be at Peace

Dear Father, You know how sin effects us and how it interferes with our relationship with You.  Purify us thru our daily live's to be dedicated witnesses to the saving power of Christ, continue to encourage us when we fail for You are Love.  Be our peace in the midst of the chaos of everyday life.  Prayers for a young lady with a tumor behind her eye, may Your healing hand be upon her and the medical staff, may she be at peace as the boat is being tossed about.  Bless this day Father, give me strength, in Jesus name, Amen.

Leviticus Chapter 15, 10-24-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"You shall warn the Israelites of their uncleanness, lest they die through their uncleanness by defiling my tabernacle, which is in their midst. This is the ritual for the man with a discharge, or who has an emission of semen, and thereby becomes unclean; as well as for the woman who has her menstrual period; or one who has a discharge, male or female; and also for the man who lies with an unclean woman." Leviticus‬ ‭15:31-33‬

Is God central to everything you do?  Does our way of life reflect our deep desire to be in His presence for eternity?  The Israelites were given this warning in how they were to deal with various bodily situations.  God is in their midst, the challenge of remaining clean or being purified after being unclean became a way of life.  Does the chair or bed need to be washed and cleansed because someone slept in it or sat on it.  It required conscious effort to be able to enter God's house.  We do not have these burdens placed upon us because of modern inventions, they were not that fortunate back then.  But we do need to be aware of our cleanliness when we enter God's house.  Is God central in our daily lives, are we protecting ourselves and remaining clean.  Just like then it requires us to be engaged in our own salvation, we are all a work in progress, be conscious.

What is God saying to me:

Dear Father, You are Holy as we are becoming holy, give us Your grace to live Holy lives, to be authentic witnesses to Your saving grace.  May You be central to everything that we do, may we slow down and consult You before making any rash decisions, comments or judgements.  Watch over this day Father, be ever in our thoughts and cleanse us as we go about doing Your will.  Thank You Father for positive test results for someone, may their lives be transformed by Your Holy Grace.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Leviticus Chapter 14, 10-23-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"The LORD said to Moses:

On the eighth day the individual shall take two unblemished male lambs, one unblemished yearling ewe lamb, three tenths of an ephah of bran flour mixed with oil for a grain offering, and one log of oil. The priest who performs the purification ceremony shall place the person who is being purified, as well as all these offerings, before the LORD at the entrance of the tent of meeting." Leviticus‬ ‭14:1, 10-11‬

Coming back into God's community was quite a commitment for those that were healed, they just didn't show up and say thank You Father.  I don't know the cost of these items during that time but I imagine it wasn't easy.  How does that relate to us today?  Are you committed to giving thanks for healing, for being purified?  Are you giving of your time, talent and treasure?  Animals need nurtured and cared for, oil needs purchased or physically processed, this required self.  God calls each of us to give of self, to stretch our abilities.  Jesus cured  nine lepers only one returned to the priest to give thanks.  Was the price too high to pay?  God calls.  Healing is a process and knowing God provides all, you can afford the price.

What is God saying to me: Living your faith comes at a price, it will not be easy, head up and march on.

Dear Lord God, I thank You for this day, for it's opportunities, it's blessings, and its challenges, keep me committed to Your will.  Do not let me be overcome by distractions and lose focus to what is truly important.  Help me to love as You love, help me speak as You speak, help me see as You see.  Bless this day Father and bless those who are seeking salvation doing what You ask of them.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Leviticus Chapter 13, 10-22-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"The garments of one afflicted with a scaly infection shall be rent and the hair disheveled, and the mustache covered. The individual shall cry out, "Unclean, unclean!" Leviticus‬ ‭13:45‬

The Israelites were concerned with the outer self in Chapter 13, I can imagine once leprosy set in, you had to protect others.  In their way of thinking, the outer self told the story of the inner self.  Jesus on the other hand did not steer clear of the unclean, He came to cure them.  Today there are a lot of pretty people, the outer self looks perfect but the inner is another story.  Our words will tell the true story, be attentive to the words of those around you, listen to what is being said.   Leprosy is contagious so is unclean spirits unless you put on the armor of God as you go into the world.  Be a difference maker, Jesus came to heal the sick not the perfect, the outer self is not the whole story.

What is God saying to me: Give it time

Dear Father, You always give words of encouragement at just the right time, thank You for speaking thru another so I may hear.  I pray for the sick, those that seem perfect but our saying "unclean".  I pray for the surgeons that go in to cure, protect them with Your mighty hand Lord, watch over us that we do not become like those You seek to cure.  Father all I want to do is praise You and you say "Go", I will go and You will lead, be our protection today as we enter Your day.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Leviticus Chapter 12, 10-21-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"If, however, she cannot afford a lamb, she may take two turtledoves or two pigeons, the one for a burnt offering and the other for a purification offering. The priest shall make atonement for her, and thus she will again be clean." Leviticus‬ ‭12:8‬

Sometimes we search for answers are there are none given, at least right away.  In reading scripture we can not lean on our own understanding but the guidance of the Holy Spirit.  The same can be said for our life at times, things are not always as they seem, God is at work.  Living your faith and seeking God, this is what God desires.  Otherwise we just kind of float along not knowing we are missing out.

Dear Father, You provide for all my needs, You place the desire and drive to seek You.  You give us things to think about and ponder Your Word.  You are God and have all the answers, may we recognize the stumbling blocks and willingly turn to You when there are no answers.  Bless this week Father, Thank You for the lesson of faith, lesson of dependence, the lesson of humility, may I carry them into my day.  Prayers for those in want, may they recognize You when it does not satisfy, in Jesus name, Amen.

Leviticus Chapter 10, 10-19-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Moses then said to Aaron, "This is as the LORD said: Through those near to me I will be sanctified; in the sight of all the people I will obtain glory." But Aaron said nothing.

Aaron answered Moses, "Even though they presented their purification offering and burnt offering before the LORD today, still this misfortune has befallen me. Had I then eaten of the purification offering today, would it have been pleasing to the LORD?" On hearing this, Moses was satisfied."
‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭10:3, 19-20‬

As we get closer to God in our journey, God holds us to be living examples.  In our trials we are being purified, are we taking the time to reflect upon God's Word?  It has been a busy week, this morning I have been chewing upon His word as I go about my day.  Sometimes the trials and events are God's way of purifying us.  We do not get to  Heaven unclean we will be spotless.  I know I am washed by the lamb, but if not living that, am I a pleasing offering to God.

Possibly, Aaron didn't finish the purification offering as his sons had been purified by the fire of God.  We are all called to be Saints, it is not an easy road.

What is God saying to me: Live your faith, a little heat only helps in making you clean.  Be at peace.

Dear Father, what an incredible journey, You are constantly in my thoughts, not always in my actions.  I thank You for this day, the events of our everyday lives, for watching over us even when we fall.  You are my treasure and I place my trust in You, keep purifying.  Thank You for the simple things may the speed of life and our culture not drown out Your voice.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Leviticus Chapter 9, 10-8-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Moses said, "This is what the LORD orders you to do, that the glory of the LORD may appear to you. Approach the altar," Moses then told Aaron, "and make your purification offering and your burnt offering in atonement for yourself and for your household; then make the offering of the people in atonement for them, as the LORD has commanded."" ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭9:6-7‬

Approach the altar, there is purpose in our worship, notice we are to bring our offerings and sacrifices to God.  It is not vain worship but a sacred tradition that continues till this day.  Can you imagine what the people saw and what they felt?  His word tells us:"Fire came forth from the LORD's presence and consumed the burnt offering and the fat on the altar. Seeing this, all the people shouted with joy and fell prostrate." Leviticus‬ ‭9:24‬.  We may not see this happening physically today but He does come forth, our shouts for joy is the great Amen.  "And even though our gospel is veiled, it is veiled for those who are perishing," 2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:3‬. My prayer today is that you see the glory of God and fall prostrate to His great mystery.

What is God saying to me: Live your faith, you have been given instruction, my words are not empty promises but eternal life.

Father God, you know my shortcomings and my weaknesses, I lean on You for strength, I bring myself to Your altar and fall prostrate at Your feet.  I am only a child trying to understand, living in a world that denies you, show us Your glory.  Thank You Father for making Your presence known in our birthday celebration, You are always present, May we recognize You.  Prayers for the upcoming Men's Day Gathering, You have laid out the plan, we are just to follow Your commands.  For the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

Leviticus Chapter 8, 10-17-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Moses did as the LORD had commanded. When the community had assembled at the entrance of the tent of meeting, Moses told them: "This is what the LORD has ordered to be done."" Leviticus‬ ‭8:4-5‬

God prepares His people and the altar for the sacrificial mass, Moses not knowing the future listens to the authority of God. God gives instructions knowing that these instructions will purify His people that are obedient and prepare the future for His Son to be slaughtered and offered up as our sacrificial offering for the atonement of our sins.  Understanding the past helps us better understand the future.  God clearly tells us what is central to His commands.  Each day we go into the world and it tries like the dickens to capture us, going to God and His Holy Family keeps us out of the grips of the devil.  God didn't say His commands would be easy but like Moses they are to be honored.  Live today as if it was your last would you treat people the same as you did yesterday?

What is God saying to me: I am by your side during this period, fear not, I also give you commands be obedient thru out the day.

Dear Lord God, I see Jesus Living His life being a contradiction to the world around Him, may we live as He did and not fall into the trap.  Prayers for this day Lord, for the blessings of parents who are still with us.  Prayers for others and myself, that do not always listen to Your voice.  Thank You Father for the knowledge of being here before You have prepared the way, may we be faithful to You.  Prayers for healing for a young lady dealing with a tumor, You are so good to us Father, we are blessed beyond measure.  I ask this in the Holy Name of Jesus, Amen.

Leviticus Chapter 7, 10-16-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"This is the ritual for the burnt offering, the grain offering, the purification offering, the reparation offering, the ordination offering, and the communion sacrifice, which the LORD enjoined on Moses at Mount Sinai at the time when he commanded the Israelites in the wilderness of Sinai to bring their offerings to the LORD." Leviticus‬ ‭7:37-38

What a journey God's people have been on and still on.  Reading scripture with the knowledge we have today knowing Jesus died for our sins.  Is He your offering? Are you His offering?  As I read chapter 7 it was with the knowledge that Jesus is the offering, the Israelites had quite a feast, lots of symbolism in this chapter and in the knowledge I receive the body and blood of Jesus every time I go to mass.  Knowing God, reveals who we are and what His purpose is, are you willing to sacrifice and bring it to the Altar?

What is God saying to me: You see through time and how I repeat the importance of your sacrifice and willingness to obey even when at times you may not feel like it.

Dear Lord God, I love You and love the mystery of Your Word, I love seeing the symbolism when reading and seeing the offering being held high.  There is a richness that requires sacrifice and should not seek comfort.  Instill within us the desire to seek You more and more each day.  Thank You Father for revealing these mysterious, may we not take them for granted and may we live them in our lives as we offer up this day in prayer.  In Jesus name, Amen

Leviticus Chapter 6 10-15-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"The fire is to be kept burning continuously on the altar; it must not go out.

The anointed priest descended from Aaron who succeeds him shall do likewise. This is the LORD's due forever. The offering shall be wholly burned." Leviticus‬ ‭6:6, 15‬

There is a treasure hidden within God's Word, it opens up our understanding and gives us insight into our daily lives.  I went to mass yesterday and it has taken on new meaning, especially when he lifted up the offering to Heaven.  God sets a fire in each of us when He breathes life into us, we decide to feed it, do we believe God at His word.  Do we live it in our daily lives.  Jesus is the Great High Priest, He is the Sacrificial Lamb, we are who He feeds and who He offers up.  His wish -  ""I have come to set the earth on fire, and how I wish it were already blazing!" ‭‭Luke‬ ‭12:49‬.  What are you doing with what He gives you?  Live the Word of God and watch it come alive, in order for that to happen, you have to read the Bible and put it into action.

What is God saying to me: You are playing a role, one ember at a time, continue to fan the flames.

Dear Father, You know how my heart burns for You, it is an unseen fire that we stoke together each day.  I pray for those on a journey, may they not fear You but love You with all their heart, mind and soul.  Bless Your people Lord that they may see the great mystery that is right in front of them.  Thank You for our priests that serve You at the altar, may they see the fruits of Your labor in the stillness of the day.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Saints, pray for us.

Leviticus Chapter 5, 10-14-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"when someone has thus done wrong and is guilty, that person shall restore the thing that was stolen, the item unjustly retained, the item left as deposit, or the lost article that was found or whatever else the individual swore falsely about. That person shall make full restitution of the thing itself, and add one fifth of its value to it, giving it to its owner at the time of reparation." Leviticus‬ ‭5:23-24‬

I gaze upon the face of God and He knows all, He knows the truth, do we take this into consideration when righting a wrong.  We will make reparations for our sins either now under our own choice or later under the will of God.  We do not realize the harm that is done when we do not come forth and correct a wrong, it impacts lives for you have taken what does not rightly belong to you.  God sees all, make the right choice.

What is God saying to me: I love all even the sinner.

Dear Father God, I would rather sit here today but that is not to be, there is work to be done.  I praise You for being with me this day, for guiding my thoughts and actions.  I do not want to speak untruth only to do Your will.  Watch over us this day, help us realize You see all, You know motives and You know actions.  May we take this into consideration when we speak.  May we honor You with our lives this day and May they be pleasing to You, Amen.

Leviticus 4:2:35b 10-13-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Tell the Israelites: When a person inadvertently does wrong by violating any one of the LORD's prohibitions

Thus the priest shall make atonement on the person's behalf for the wrong committed, that the individual may be forgiven."
‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭4:2, 35‬

When we sin and are not aware of it, are we guilty of sinning? We are once we become aware of it and according to God's Word, the priest shall make atonement on our behalf. A lot of us struggle with the need to go to a priest but God intended we have them.  Without the priest there is no sacrifice on the altar, there is no atonement for our sins whether intended sin or unintended sin.  Who do you think wants to eliminate the priest?  Who has the most to gain when the priest no longer has a role in our lives?  Satan.  Living God's Word as He intended breathes life into us, His word breathes truth into our spirit.  Live it.

What is God saying to me:  intended or not, it still violates My Word, I banished Adam and Eve for not obeying.  Live My Word in your life.

Dear Father, You are loving and caring, You seek to teach us the truth and to live it in our lives.  Fill us with Your Holy Spirit as we search for meaning in our lives.  Show us where we are sinning and may not be aware of offending You.  Forgive me Father when I do, I place my heart and soul in Your care, I trust in You.   Bless this day Father, bless Your people and enlighten us with Your Word, in Jesus name, Amen.

Leviticus Chapter 3 10-12-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"If one presents a lamb as an offering, that person shall bring it before the LORD," Leviticus‬ ‭3:7‬

Living our faith is a deliberate act, the Israelites when they brought their offerings to God, they were deliberate in what they were doing.  They had skin in the game, it was not without cost, is this the case today.  How many of us practice our faith religiously on Sundays but the rest of the week is another story.  Jesus is the Lamb of God, He is deliberate in His actions, His yes was yes, there is no duplicity in Him, He had no ulterior motives, He is in communion with His Father in Heaven.  Jesus was Jesus, twenty four seven, be deliberate in your actions, be in communion with God twenty four seven and it starts in the Holy of Hollies each day.

What is God saying to me: You are at peace

Dear Father, there is joy in coming into Your temple each day and You gave each of us that opportunity.  I thank You Father for taking my worship from Sunday only to each and every day of my life.  I thank You for the school of holiness that You are teaching thru others, it is a true blessing and a grace to be part of.  Prayers for a special intention that God's will be done and not my will.  Bless this day Father, bless Your children and bless our thoughts as we enter the day.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Patriarchs, pray for us.

Leviticus Chapter 2 10-11-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Every grain offering that you present to the LORD shall be unleavened, for you shall not burn any leaven or honey as an oblation to the LORD." ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭2:11‬

Go to the source, I am not a farmer, I don't raise any grain but I do bring a grain offering to God, my life.  Each day I begin by coming before God, my day does not start without Him.  "Our ancestors ate manna in the desert, as it is written: 'He gave them bread from heaven to eat.'" John 6:31.  Sitting at His feet and listening, He speaks, He writes. Until you have experienced God speaking directly to you, just you and Him, there is nothing better!  "I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; " John‬ ‭6:51a‬.  Too many of us allow others to influence us in our ways of thinking because we do not begin with God, we do not give Him a grain offering of our unleavened bread, we are to give Him ourself.  "Then they understood that he was not telling them to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees." Matthew‬ ‭16:12‬. God is the source of all life, may He be in you everyday as you begin.

What is God saying to me: Be at ease, I am at work.

Dear Father, I love sitting at your feet and You teaching, You speaking.  I enjoy the quiet and stillness of the morning being uninterrupted as we dine together.  My day is only beginning, outside my door are many influences, help me focus on You, help me use what you are giving to be an instrument in Your hands.  Prayers of thanksgiving for opportunity, for movement, for growth.  Prayers of thanksgiving for rain, thank You Father for feeding this parched land, may it produce the crop that You desire.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Saints, pray for us.

Exodus Chapter 1 10-10-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Speak to the Israelites and tell them: When any one of you brings an offering of livestock to the LORD, you shall bring your offering from the herd or from the flock. If a person's offering is a burnt offering from the herd, the offering must be a male without blemish. The individual shall bring it to the entrance of the tent of meeting to find favor with the LORD," ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭1:2-3‬

Sacred and sacrifice, these are the words being spoken in my thoughts this morning.  The sacredness of the tent of the meeting, can you envision the sense of sacredness that must of existed, it was holy ground.  Also the sacrifice that was made by bringing the offering and the sacrifice of the animal.  How far have we strayed from what God desires?  Do we sacrifice when going to church or if you don't feel like it, you just stay home.  Could it be that the sacredness of who God is, is not in your life, or could be stronger.  There is hidden treasures within His word waiting to be discovered.  Our worship should be sacred, we enter holy ground when in His presence and sacrifice of self is key.  It is not about "I", that's God's part for you.

What is God saying to me: My people perish for lack of knowledge, take heart and follow Me, the mystery awaits.

Dear Father God, there is awe and wonder in the mystery of worship, there is peace and sacredness when we come before Your altar.   I thank You for revealing this this morning, the joy and desire of knowing You far outweighs my selfish ways.  I look forward to being at Your table, to walk through those doors and encounter the Living God.  You are Holy, working on making us holy, may we honor You by coming to Your sacred place.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Exodus Chapter 40 10-9-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle." Exodus‬ ‭40:34‬

Without God, the tent of the meeting, it is just an empty room, it serves a purpose but not what God intended.  "Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world." 1 John 4:4b. Without God in our lives we are just empty vessels going thru life.   God's glory does not fill our lives, we just go through life not knowing of His glory.  That was not God's intention when He created us, He wants to fill us with His glory.   Sin interferes with God's plan, it clouds our judgement, it removes Him from our lives, we become empty.

I am blessed to be Catholic, Chapter 40 is filled with images of the mass.  There is forgiveness, there is the priest, there is the sacrifice, there is the Eucharist, this was God's intention from the beginning.  Leave any of it out and it is not complete, it is empty.

What is God saying to me: You are never alone for I am with you and in you, be filled with My glory.

Dear Father, I love when we walk together, You bring peace into my soul, You shine light into the darkness, You slow me down to listen.  Thank You for being by my side as we journey, discouragement without You is misery, discouragement with You is a great lesson.  I am filled with Your glory as You shine the light.  Prayers for our country today and our leaders as God continues to shed light upon the spiritual battles that are taken place before our eyes.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Exodus Chapter 39 10-8-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Thus the entire work of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting was completed. The Israelites did the work just as the LORD had commanded Moses; so it was done.

Just as the LORD had commanded Moses, so the Israelites had carried out all the work. So when Moses saw that all the work was done just as the LORD had commanded, he blessed them." Exodus‬ ‭39:32, 42-43‬

God said and so it was.  God paints a picture of what His house of worship looks like.  As you read Chapter 39, it gives great detail on what was made.  All these materials were in the community, everyone played a part in building God's house.  Sometimes we may feel insignificant but without your contributions in God's house it is incomplete.   Each household gave to help build the temple of God.  Each day as you begin, sit in quiet contemplation and allow God to bless you, He gives back what you give.  There is a sense of joy in knowing in some small way, your efforts do not go unnoticed by God.  Be blessed today because God blesses you for what you do, it may go unnoticed but He sees your contribution.  Keep fighting the good fight, beauty takes time to create.

What is God saying to me: Put on My armor, you do not fight alone.

Dear Father, there is beauty in the quiet of the morning, there is joy in the moments.  You feed me, You mold me, You change me as we visit together, You see all even my shortcomings and love me anyway.  Thank You for being by my side, for pushing me, for having me step out when I listen to You.  Prayers for our leaders this morning, may they know that they are blessed by God to carry out what He asks, just like Moses.  Take what I give today Lord and use it for Your glory, may I not hold back what You ask.  Thank You for the armor once again.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Exodus Chapter 38 10-7-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"one bekah apiece, that is, a half-shekel, according to the standard of the sanctuary shekel, was received from everyone who was enrolled, of twenty years or more, namely, six hundred and three thousand five hundred and fifty men." Exodus‬ ‭38:26‬

God provides for all our needs.  The Israelites had nothing, they were slaves yet they each gave what was asked of them.  The Egyptians gave what was asked of them, it was their silver, gold and bronze and they freely gave to the Israelites.  What we are given does not belong to us, we are given the responsibility to use it with right judgement, it all belongs to God.  They all gave to God so He could have a house worthy of Him and they had a place to worship.  Happiness in life isn't  from receiving, it is in giving, giving of our time, talent and treasure.

What is God saying to me: Be at peace, I am at work.

Dear Father, it is another week to go into Your Kingdom with the gifts You have given each of us.  We are each asked to give some of it back to You in various forms, may we do so with an open heart.  I thank You for a good weekend, for time spent with family and for time spent with You in Your house.  As I put on the armor of God today, help me remember what is important, help me grow this coming week in Your favor and may I always praise You,  we're all good things come from.  In Jesus name. Amen.

Exodus Chapter 37 10-6-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Bezalel made the ark of acacia wood, two and a half cubits long, one and a half cubits wide, and one and a half cubits high. The inside and outside were plated with gold, and a molding of gold was put around it."
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭37:1-2‬

God prepared Bezalel to build His ark, he was the best of the best.  He used his skills to create the vision that Moses was given.  He gave God his best because God gave him His best.  God prepares, do we prepare to receive God.  Do we take time out of each day and prepare ourselves.  Do we give God our best?  I see a world that is buying into the lies, they are not giving God their best, they are compromising their values and beliefs for immediate satisfaction.  Bezalel didn't become the chosen one of God just because he showed up one morning.  He honed is skills, he lived in the shadow of God.  As you prepare to receive God today, give him your best, listen to what He says to you.  His home needs to be made of pure gold.

What is God saying to me: Grace, a little each day is being revealed, I am painting a picture and it has a purpose.

Dear Father, another beautiful day to honor and worship You.  You know my heart Father, You know its joys and it's sorrows, help me live the life that You have called me too.  Help me be the pure and holy sanctuary for You to find rest in a world that doubts you.  Bless this day Father, bless this morning as we receive You into our spirits.  You are God and I love You, Amen.

Exodus Chapter 36 10-5-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

""Bezalel, therefore, will set to work with Oholiab and with all the artisans whom the LORD has endowed with skill and understanding in knowing how to do all the work for the service of the sanctuary, just as the LORD has commanded."" ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭36:1‬

I close my eyes and I see God at work building the Sanctuary.  The artisans are all working using their God given skills and bringing them to the Lord.  The tapestries are being made, the yarn is being spun and the embroidery is being done.  I see people helping other people, I see people praying for each other, I see people listening to each other and not judging.  I see people speaking the truth with compassion.  I see people giving of their time and their talent.  This wasn't 6 or 7 thousand years ago, this was yesterday.  Whether you know it or not, we each play a role in building the Sanctuary or in slowing the process down.

What is God saying to me:

Dear Father, I love You and I thank You for Your blessings.  I thank You for those that listen and respond.  I thank You for the hands that help, the feet that walk in Your sandals.  I pray for those that are watching, who are not listening, who are deaf, who are mute, who are scared and who are blind.  We are just the instruments in Your hands, give us strength to see Your glory being formed around us.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Mother of Divine Grace, pray for us.

Exodus Chapter 35 10-4-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Moses said to the whole Israelite community, "This is what the LORD has commanded:

"Let every artisan among you come and make all that the LORD has commanded:

He has endowed them with skill to execute all types of work: engraving, embroidering, the making of variegated cloth of violet, purple, and scarlet yarn and fine linen thread, weaving, and all other arts and crafts." Exodus‬ ‭35:4, 10, 35‬

Nothing happens until someone does something, seems pretty obvious doesn't it.  Moses was given a vision but until he opened his mouth and started talking, only then did he realize that God has already everything in place.  Sometimes our fear holds us back because we do not know how to do or what to do, God has already done it, He just needs you to act.  "Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few;" Matthew‬ ‭9:37‬ ‭ It isn't head knowledge that God asked through Moses, it was heart knowledge.  "Receive from among you contributions for the LORD. Everyone, as his heart prompts him, shall bring, as a contribution to the LORD, gold, silver, and bronze;" ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭35:5‬

What is God saying to me: I Am calling

Dear Lord, You know how my heart stirs this morning, only You know what is going on within me.  I hear You Lord and I am responding.  I do not know how, I do not know who but I know.  I see a world in pain, I see suffering, I see poor decisions and You are the answer.  You have prepared the ground, the seed has been planted and You are God.  Prayers this morning for those in hospital some by choice others not, Thank You Jesus for guiding the hands of Your healers to hear Your call and heal.  You are Mighty God, You are loving God and You are our God, may You be raised up in a world that needs to see You and only You, praise be the name of Jesus, Amen.

Mary, Our Lady of Victory, pray for us.

O blessed St. Teresa of Avila, patron saint of headache sufferers, look kindly upon a young lady and all who suffer and endure pain in the head.   Pray for them before your beloved and plead with Him to take away their pain if that be His holy will.   If not, along with you, may they join their pain to His own for the salvation of souls.   Amen

Exodus Chapter 34 9-3-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"The LORD said to Moses: "Cut two stone tablets like the former, that I may write on them the words which were on the former tablets that you broke.

Then the LORD said to Moses: Write down these words, for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel.

As Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the covenant in his hands, he did not know that the skin of his face had become radiant while he spoke with the LORD." ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭34:1, 27, 29‬

Did God contradict Himself?  No, the words Moses wrote were God's words that were written on Moses heart by God.   Being in the presence of God changes us, He transformed Moses when he was on the mountain, it didn't happen overnight, it took forty days.  Upon his return, all could see the marvels God had done, Moses was radiant.  Being transformed by God is a daily journey, as long as we return to Him each day, He writes His words on our heart.  We become transformed and you radiate what God gives you.  Don't go to God each day, you will still radiate what you are given but it isn't God giving it.   God writes on my heart everyday and I just write it down.

What is God saying to me: Pray for those that do not come to Me, they are lost and don't even know it.

Dear Lord, Lord, Joy fills my spirit as You paint a picture in my mind.  You prepare me for the day that I may receive what You Intend to give.  Bless this morning's prayer group, show us Your marvels through those that heed Your voice.  Prayers for friends under attack, may they be protected by St Michael and worship You.  As we come down from the mountain each day, may You radiate in our faces, in our words and in our actions.  In the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Mary, Our Lady of Victory, pray for us.

Exodus Chapter 33 10-2-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Now, if I have found favor with you, please let me know your ways so that, in knowing you, I may continue to find favor with you. See, this nation is indeed your own people. The LORD answered: I myself will go along, to give you rest." ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭33:13-14‬

Friendship with God, how many of us seek it?  You may enjoy reading these words each day but do you sit with God each day.  Do you ask God to show you His ways, isn't that what friendship is all about, to know each other, to help each other.   Too many either don't think about God or check in with Him once in awhile, that isn't friendship that is an acquaintance. "Yet you have said: You are my intimate friend; You have found favor with me." ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭33:12‬b.  Moses built a friendship with God, he found favor and in this relationship they walked together.  There is rest in God when we bring Him along, when we follow Him daily.  I pray you find rest, it can not be found any place else.

What is God saying to me: Well done My good and faithful servant, I go with you, be at rest in the busyness of life.

Dear Father, what a blessing to be able to know You and in knowing You, I realize there is so much more to know.  You are answering my requests as a good friend would, I thank You for pointing the way.  Thank You Father for stirring hearts and making some restless so they can build a relationship with You.  Prayers for a friend that is indecisive, help Him see with Your friendship all things are possible and his strength comes from above.  Bless this day Father as You go with us.  Amen.

Exodus Chapter 32 10-1-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"So I told them, 'Whoever is wearing gold, take it off.' They gave it to me, and I threw it into the fire, and this calf came out." Moses saw that the people were running wild because Aaron had lost control—to the secret delight of their foes." ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭32:24-25‬

Whom do you place your trust in? Is it God or one of God's leaders?  The people looked for Moses and then Aaron, they did not look for God, they sought their own.  Sin corrupts, even Aaron told a lie in making the golden calf.  Our faith is not to be placed upon man only on the Triune God.  He will never lead you astray.  Are you mad at some church leader, is this person causing you to stray from God.  You have made your own idol, for they are greater than God.   This pleases the same foes Moses and Aaron had.  God is to be our focus, our praise and worship is on God not a human.  The devil deceives, he twists the truth and seeks your ruin, do not place hope on false idols.  You are loved by God, your Creator.

What is God saying to me: focus on me, I will see you through this, you are not alone I am with you.

Dear Father, we can place our hope upon man only to be let down.  Remind us that we are created by You, it is You that gives us hope and joy of heart.  Prayers for those that are being misguided by the devil.  Prayers for those whom anger is eating at them, may they be released from this bondage, may this hate be replaced with Love.  Help us see Christ in the other as we live this day with You being our focus.  Thank You Father for walking with me each day and calling me to the mountain.  In Jesus name, Amen.
