Daily Thoughts - The Invitation.

Daily Thoughts - The Invitation.

"But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you. For you will be repaid at the resurrection of the just.""  ‭‭Luke‬ ‭14‬:‭13‬-‭14‬

The invitation, Jesus invites all to dine with Him, we can not pay Him back but we can glorify Him in our lives.  When one has dined with the Mighty One, there is no better feast.  He feeds the hunger and need that is on the inside with ever lasting life.

Dear Father, I sit in this foreign land, watching and wondering.  Taking it all in trying to understand its purpose and knowing that it has purpose.  May I die to self as you continue to feed the soul.  I can not repay You any other way other than living out what You are giving.  Prayers for friends upon the path that are dining within Your Word.   In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts - Longing

Daily Thoughts - Longing

"as it is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. If I am to live in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me. Yet which I shall choose I cannot tell. I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better."  Philippians‬ ‭1‬:‭20‬-‭23‬

Stuck in the middle knowing that God is in control beyond our own desires for if we are truthful we long to be with the Lord.  This life has purpose but some days that desire is greater for one over the other.  It is no man's land in my mind for no man really wants to be here but also knows one must travel through it to get to the other side as Paul has.

"For to me to live is Christ and to die is gain."  It is the dying part that I struggle with as most of us do.  Can I lay down my life for another in my daily walk?  It is the gain in Christ that I seek that Paul seems to have found, even in the longing of being with Christ he is content.  No man's land half way between every where.  Yet it is Christ that is leading us through a little each day.

Dear Lord God, it is another beautiful day in Your presence.  Ground us in the truth of this day, whisper the words that we need to hear to continue this earthly pilgrimage.  Prayers for a friend waiting in hope for Your victory in his life, may You answer his prayers that leads to glory.   I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts - Infused knowledge.

Daily Thoughts - Infused knowledge.

"Day unto day pours forth speech; night unto night whispers knowledge."  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭19‬:‭3‬

I sit and listen with eyes closed contemplating todays readings.  What is God saying to us within scripture and within our day.  The world around us is busy, flooded with noise and many activities.  Without stillness in our lives we miss the voice of God speaking.

Then thru the noise is The Church, bells ringing from a distance.  God illuminating His Church and it's truth.  The Church is made up of you and I as well as all those who have gone before us who are in fellowship with Christ.  "So then you are no longer strangers and sojourners, but you are fellow citizens with the holy ones and members of the household of God,"  Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭19‬

Infused knowledge is sitting with God and listening with the heart.  Over time we begin to hear and learn from God.  Then each day we are giving the opportunity to live out our faith.  Otherwise the darkness is overwhelming and it consumes us.  His voice is drown out and the evil one who is in the world owns us and we are unaware.  Church is community with Heaven on earth, the Holy ones,  along with us working out our salvation.  Have a blessed day as you listen to Him.

Dear Heavenly Father, in the stillness You speak the loudest, birds chirping in the background, Your Holy Spirit walking within infusing wisdom that is gained within Your Word.  Help us follow in the footsteps of Your Holy ones, living out our faith.  Prayers for families estranged from The Church, reunite Your children within the sacrifice of the Holy Mass as You call out to be heard.  May those Church bells in the background of every day call us home.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts - Strength

Daily Thoughts - Strength

""Strive to enter through the narrow door, for many, I tell you, will attempt to enter but will not be strong enough."  ‭‭Luke‬ ‭13‬:‭24‬

"Behold, your house is left to you desolate; and I say to you, you will not see Me until the time comes when you say, 'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!' ""  ‭‭Luke‬ ‭13‬:‭35‬

The son of man journeys to Jerusalem, as do we whether we realize it or not.  The last couple of days it has been the word strength or strong that has captured my attention.  Jesus leaned on His Father, knowing what lay ahead.  The challenges of the day He faced with grace and a knowledge that the fight was all around disguised by worldly activities.

Time in prayer with the Word of God opens our eyes to what is going on.  It also gives us strength for we are not to lean upon our own understanding, we are to trust in God for each day.   Are you strong enough to with stand the test.  The test is coming, in fact we are in the test, it is called life.  Do we witness to the truth or do we deny the truth.  "Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord."   And therefore I lay claim to God's promise, not fully knowing but fully trusting.   "Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world."  1 John 4:4b

Dear Father, I know not what tomorrow brings but yet in a sense I do.  I pray that I have the strength that is needed, I have an understanding that it is You within that will with stand the test.  I trust in You for this day and the days beyond, leads us into the Holy City so we can come into Your presence, sanctified by our journey together.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts - One flesh

Daily Thoughts - One flesh

"to sanctify her, cleansing her by the bath of water with the word, that he might present to himself the church in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish."  Ephesians‬ ‭5‬:‭26‬-‭27‬

Have you ever thought how yeast works?  You put a little bit in a batch of dough and it transforms the dough, changes it.  The two meld together to become one.  Without the yeast, it just isn't the same, with it the dough comes alive.

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."  ‭‭John‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬.  "to sanctify her, cleansing her by the bath of water with the word,"  Ephesians‬ ‭5‬:‭26‬.  I don't know how yeast works, I just know it works, I have seen it in action.  The word is the yeast that we need to come alive.  I don't know how it works, I just know it works for God tells us that.  It is the bath of water with the word that sanctifies us.

A little each day, a little at a time to soak into the soul to transform the flesh into the body of Christ.  The two shall become one flesh, it begins with us receiving the word of God and He does the rest with our cooperation.

Dear Father, I see You at work, I see the bread rising, taking form
and becoming what it is intended to be.  Sanctify us with Your Word, transform us into Your body in a world that denies You.  May we soak up Your Living Word in our lives and be transformed.  Prayers of thankfulness for the grace You are pouring upon us in the stillness of the day.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts - Live as Children of Light

Daily Thoughts - Live as Children of Light

"And ought not this woman, a daughter of Abraham whom Satan bound for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?""  ‭‭Luke‬ ‭13‬:‭16‬

Jesus has just healed this woman from her infirmity, being crippled for eighteen years.  The woman filled with the grace of God did not allow the sin in her life to keep her from coming to Jesus.  It was her persistence that kept her coming back, her desire to know God and to love God.

How often do we come before Jesus, is it monthly, weekly, daily, hourly?  The woman's infirmities did not stop her, she was not bitter, she was faithful and trusting in God.  We as well can learn from her example, to always come before the Great Healer.  He knows what holds us back, He knows what binds us even when we can not see it ourselves.

Be the light in the world that seeks healing but is bound by sin.  Move forward even when you don't feel like it, Satan still binds people in their affirmatives and Jesus is the Light that burns within that keeps the evil one away.  Be His Light.

Dear Father, Your teachings are always so timely as You reaffirm what You are teaching.  May we be attentive to Your voice, may we come to You especially in our bondage and trust ourselves into Your providential care.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts - Holiness

Daily Thoughts - Holiness

""Why do you not judge for yourselves what is right? If you are to go with your opponent before a magistrate, make an effort to settle the matter on the way; otherwise your opponent will turn you over to the judge, and the judge hand you over to the constable, and the constable throw you into prison. I say to you, you will not be released until you have paid the last penny.""  ‭‭Luke‬ ‭12‬:‭57‬-‭59‬

There is right and wrong. Not my right but what is right in the eyes of God. (1 Kings 15:5). Jesus gives us practical advise in settling matters of disagreement, sit with them and come to the right agreement with your opponent.  I also pondered a deeper meaning of opponent.  We do live in interesting times where "I am right and you are wrong" ways of thinking.  But in the eyes of God, Truth can never change.

In this context who is our opponent?  Was Jesus not speaking truth and his audience was His opponent.   Matthew 5:6.   God is never wrong, when we stand against Him and His teachings, He is our opponent.  It is Him we must make peace with and His teachings.  There will be no avoiding it but even if you don't come to an agreement with Him there is still hope.  A place called prison that we will be released once we have paid every penny.  We will  come to understand what holiness is as we contemplate our plight in life and the teachings of God.  Leviticus 20:7.

In my Catholic understanding I call this place purgatory, by His grace I will pass through purgatory before I die because we all have to go through purgation to get to Heaven.

Dear Father, I see You at work in miraculous ways, prayers are being answered, people are being given hope, hope that surpasses all understanding.  Continue to pour our Your grace upon Your people, continue the cleansing of this world that we may all bend the knee to worship You in all that we do.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts - Division

Daily Thoughts - Division

""I have come to set the earth on fire, and how I wish it were already blazing! There is a baptism with which I must be baptized, and how great is my anguish until it is accomplished! Do you think that I have come to establish peace on the earth? No, I tell you, but rather division."  ‭‭Luke‬ ‭12‬:‭49‬-‭51‬

Do you feel the anguish of Jesus?  What would cause God anguish?  There is only one thing that I can see and that is a lost soul following the evil one.  The fire that He is talking about,(in my opinion) is the fire within, the one that burns for Him.   The division He is talking about is to divide us from our evil ways(sin) and unite us with His love.

I still sin but not to the point that I am unaware and turn my back on God.  God is love, always ready to receive us even in our sin.  Kneel before the Father, clasp your hands in front of Him and listen to God speak within.  See the love He has for you, even in your sin, and be transformed by His love not your pride.  "Humble yourselves before the Lord and he will exalt you."  ‭‭James‬ ‭4‬:‭10‬

Dear Father, You give us another beautiful day to go and serve You in a world that does not recognize Your Love.  Help us in this day, keep us safe and those that we love, may we share the joy that You give within with those unaware of how good You are.  In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Daily Thoughts - In between.

Daily Thoughts - In between.

"But we hold this treasure in earthen vessels, that the surpassing power may be of God and not from us. We are afflicted in every way, but not constrained; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our body. For we who live are constantly being given up to death for the sake of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may be manifested in our mortal flesh."  ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4‬:‭7‬-‭11‬

In between, Heaven and earth.  The treasure contained within this earthen vessel is of God, the desire that it seeks is of Heaven.  And it remains here being purified with the knowledge from above.  Knowing that it's attainment that it seeks will never be satisfied until it is in front of the beatified vision.

Until then it's charge is to not seek what is below, it is only temporal but to seek what is above, it is eternal.  So the ache that one feels is from God, it is grace being revealed within the flesh.  So in between is not a bad place, keeps you focused on what is necessary.  Have a blessed day.

Dear Father, You place within us this treasure, the treasure of knowing and of not quite containing on this side of Heaven.  Thank You for the grace of the Love of Your Son and Holy family.  The ache is a Holy ache, one that purifies us as we are being prepared for Heaven.  Prayers for a friend in the vineyard, guide her path, share her joy with others that opens the door to Heaven.    I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts - Stay the course

Daily Thoughts - Stay the course

"At my first defense no one appeared on my behalf, but everyone deserted me. May it not be held against them! But the Lord stood by me and gave me strength, so that through me the proclamation might be completed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was rescued from the lion's mouth."  ‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭4‬:‭16‬-‭17‬

I listen to Paul's plight and in his troubles he never wavered.  In his path there was clear direction.  There are many things in this world that can lead us astray but within is this inner peace that leads you home with Christ at the center.

This inner peace will never fail you, it is you that will fail it.  Yet the path still remains and we are welcomed once we begin again.  In the silence, the beacon calls leading us home.  Paul knew that this was his path, He knew that God was in control.

When the voice that is leading you is God, you will never be betrayed.  The great migratory routes of the animals have a direction that they must follow.  We as well once we have tasted God.  It is in silence that Peace enters.  Paul had a lot of time to consider his journey in life to be able to see the truth.

Dear Father God, You speak, I listen, always by my side.  Each day brings about another opportunity to proclaim the greatest migratory route that is unique to each of us.  May we hear You within and be guided home.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts - Christ within

 Daily Thoughts - Christ within

""Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."  ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭3‬

The suffering of Christ is all around us, the pain and anguish of sin being played out within the body of Christ.  Our lives do not belong to us, we each have a purpose to bring another lost soul to Him.  Even in the moments of joy, there is more to do.

Pray for one another for even in the gift of salvation there is the suffering of Christ upon the cross being crucified in the body.  If I am saved and hold on to it with pride, am I truly saved?

Dear Father, thank You for the life giving rain this morning, thank You for the grace of suffering.  In our sufferings we are drawn closer to You.  Prayers for the body of Christ being crucified upon the cross, may we experience Your resurrection in our lives.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts - Blessed Assurance.

Daily Thoughts - Blessed Assurance.

"For in hope we were saved. Now hope that sees for itself is not hope. For who hopes for what one sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait with endurance. In the same way, the Spirit too comes to the aid of our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit itself intercedes with inexpressible groanings."  ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:24-26‬

I sit and try to look behind the veil, that which I hope for, only to not see.  Who hopes for what one sees.  Jesus, Son of Man, was going to Heaven, He did not rest on this fact as man.  He worked out His salvation by His actions each day loving God and His creation.

He was raptured out of this world and brought home.  I too have this hope to be brought home, to be raptured out of this place.  Each day builds upon the last and each day brings joys and sufferings.  I do not sit and rest, I sit and listen, seeing God at work.  Jesus suffered and was brought home, why would we seek anything less than that.  He is our example, we are told to follow Him.  Work out your salvation in Christ.   Will He find the worker working in the vineyard?

Dear Father, I see You at work transforming lives, making Your presence known and increasing faith.  I also see the evil one at work creating deception and chaos, speaking lies in hopes of another victim.  Help us be on guard with our thoughts and actions thru daily prayer, and worshipping You in the sacrifice of the mass.  Thank You Father for answering prayers in advance of the outcome.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts - Be forgiven.

 Daily Thoughts - Be forgiven.

"Woe to you! You build the memorials of the prophets whom your ancestors killed. Consequently, you bear witness and give consent to the deeds of your ancestors, for they killed them and you do the building."  ‭‭Luke‬ ‭11:47-48‬

I stand with Jesus as He faces His accusers not backing down.  I watch as the scene unfolds and see the love of God as He speaks truth in the situation.  I see His love for humanity as He seeks to intervene on their path of destruction.

I sit and look at our world, the scene in front of us.  We either believe the Truth or, we are deaf to the Truth, we come to believe our own lies.  Yet God stays the course, giving His love away, seeking that opportunity to penetrate a soul that is willing to listen.

In love "he destined us for adoption to himself through Jesus Christ, in accord with the favor of his will, for the praise of the glory of his grace that he granted us in the beloved. Fulfillment Through Christ. In him we have redemption by his blood, the forgiveness of transgressions, in accord with the riches of his grace".  ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭1:5-7‬

We are either washed by the blood of the Lamb or we are the ones drawing the blood.  That is the message Jesus is giving when speaking to His accusers.   Be forgiven.

Dear Father, many pictures this morning as the world continues to be divided, yet You still speak the truth and do not back down when it is needed to be spoken in love.  Watch over Your faithful, strengthen us for the journey with Your body, continue to give us the grace to see and respond in a world that can be deaf.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts - Distant

Daily Thoughts - Distant

"Woe to you Pharisees! You pay tithes of mint and of rue and of every garden herb, but you pay no attention to judgment and to love for God. These you should have done, without overlooking the others."  ‭‭Luke‬ ‭11:42‬

In todays Gospel reading, it is easy to distance ourselves from the conversation.  Jesus is speaking to the Pharisees and rebuking them for not doing what God called them too.  But as you listen to Jesus He is speaking to us in our own callings in life.  We are all called to bring others to Christ not just the preacher.   Am I loving God if I am not helping my neighbor or not getting involved in the situations that God puts in front of me.

"But if you are guided by the Spirit, you are not under the law." ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:18‬.  Is God distant in your thoughts, only on Sunday do you listen for Him or is He there with you in all situations.  As we listen for the promptings of the Holy Spirit, He speaks and then the flesh must decide how to respond.  Was that really God's voice speaking, does He really want me to act on that thought.  The only way to find out is to act, He will amaze you as He works through you.  Or you can sit at the table with the Pharisees and be bound by your privilege and lack of love for another.   "If we live in the Spirit, let us also follow the Spirit." Galatians‬ ‭5:25

Dear Father, I hear You and see You in action.  I see You transforming lives to come to know Your love for them as we are obedient to Your will.  Thank You Father for the gifts of the Holy Spirit, You know what is best for each of us.  You also know how best to purify us.  Watch over us this day and may we serve You in the callings we each have as we live out our love for You, Amen.

Daily Thoughts - I am Yours

Daily Thoughts - I am Yours

"You fools! Did not the maker of the outside also make the inside? But as to what is within, give alms, and behold, everything will be clean for you."  ‭‭Luke‬ ‭11:40-41‬

Sit at table with Jesus, dine with Him along with the Pharisees.  What does Jesus see?  He can read souls, both the inner self and the outer.  He is the Creator of perfection.  As children we are all made perfect except for original sin which is wiped clean with baptism.

As with the Pharisee, is the inner self in agreement with the outer self and vs versa?  That is God's question with those dining with Him, He sees the conflict.  And He gives the answer that will purify the cup on the inside as well as the outside.  What we have is given by God, it is He that brings us back to perfection, it is us who must act upon His direction.

If we are giving God away then we are in Union.  This is what Jesus was doing even in His dispute with His host.

Dear Lord God, I will dine with You at every possibility, it is in these encounters that You perfect Your creation especially when there is conflict.  Enflame my heart so only You are given in Love.  Prayers for a friend that is much like the Pharisee, continue Your work.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts - Open your heart

Daily Thoughts - Open your heart

"At the judgment the men of Nineveh will arise with this generation and condemn it, because at the preaching of Jonah they repented, and there is something greater than Jonah here."  ‭‭Luke‬ ‭11:32‬

Jesus paints a picture within those that listen.  Jonah walked one day in the city Nineveh calling out to the people to turn from their wicked ways and they did.  "When God saw by their actions how they turned from their evil way, he repented of the evil he had threatened to do to them; he did not carry it out."  ‭‭Jonah‬ ‭3:10‬

How many in the crowd listened to God as He paints?  There were some in this crowd that condemned Him to death, they did not listen because of the hardness of their hearts.  There is always a message within scripture for each of us.  God see's our lives and knows what to say and when.  The words He uses paints an image, I pray I am listening with an open heart.

Dear Father, I see Jesus speaking to the crowd, getting their attention and speaking the reality of their lives.  He speaks to this generation as well, may we heed Your voice and turn back.  May history find us on the right side of Truth.  To God be the glory, Amen.

Daily Thoughts - Baptizied

Daily Thoughts - Baptizied

"For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ."  ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:27‬

Have you contemplated your baptism?  I was baptizied as a baby, have no memory of it but have come to the understanding that I was brought into the family of Christ through the faith of my parents.  As I have grown to understand, read the Word of God and listen to God.  I am being clothed by God through this same baptism.  I was baptized into new birth, new life, His death and most important His resurrection.

It is God that speaks when we visit, I listen.  I sit and watch Paul listen to the Father and them contemplate the image that is given.  Each day is new, each day brings about new life and new understanding, there is no end for there is no beginning to God and there is no end to God.  If I am clothed by Christ then we become one in time.  At first I speak louder(sin) but in time, He speaks louder(salvation).  Just a little quiet time with the Creator of the Universe.  It is amazing what He brings together if we will let Him.

Dear Father, even in my uneasiness You are patient with me and continue to give what is needed for our journey.  Prayers for those who have not been baptizied yet, may they come to understand the love You have for them and act upon Your will for all.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts - Faith

Daily Thoughts - Faith.

"Realize then that it is those who have faith who are children of Abraham."  ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:7‬

Faith is Jesus.  Realize you are the child of God.  In our own weakness we give into flesh, in our faith we give it to God.  It is faith that dwells within that justifies these mortal bodies.  It is the Spirit of God who transforms us.

As you listen, it is faith speaking to you.  "I spoke to Paul and gave him the words.  He listened with scripture and his daily life.  The world around was his teacher, the trial and tribulations of each day.  I, faith(Jesus) brought him to truth.  Much like I bring those who listen to Truth.  You are the child of the King."  "For through faith you are all children of God in Christ Jesus."‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:26‬

Dear Lord God, I hear You speak, it is through faith that I hear and understand.  Faith is my belief in Jesus and Jesus is my Faith.  Prayers for another day to listen and act upon where we go.  Thank You for the affirmations of our faith.  Thank You for bringing about what You have given within.  It is Faith that will lead us home.  Amen.

Daily Thoughts - Captive

Daily Thoughts - Captive

"and of the oath he swore to Abraham our father, and to grant us that, rescued from the hand of enemies, without fear we might worship him in holiness and righteousness before him all our days."  ‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:73-75‬

Be set free.  God promised us we would be set free, read the Word of God and listen with your heart.  The father of lies will tell you differently but His Spirit will come upon you and help you see beyond what ever situation you are in.  I speak because I know, the body, blood, soul and Divinity of Jesus courses within my veins.

Each day brings new situations but Christ lives within, no matter what comes His Word speaks louder.  Be set free and LISTEN to God, He is Truth.

Dear Father, we live within Your creation, we are surrounded by beauty, the beauty of the morning.  You put breath within our lungs and wrap us in Your love with this day.  Prayers for those being held captive by lies, may Your words break their bondage and set them free to worship You all the days of our lives.  I ask this in the holy name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

"For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that he may grant you in accord with the riches of his glory to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner self, and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the holy ones what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God."  ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭3:14-19‬

I am His and He is mine.  My words will not do Justice to Paul's prayer.  I sat in the silence and went beyond my own fidgetiness to be able to listen.  I watched as God was working in many lives and I kept coming back to "through faith".  Steep yourself in Paul's prayer, go beyond your own thinking and listen, see what God is doing and know through faith He has you.

Dear Father, I seen Paul praying to You for me and my family, Your family.  I see the chaos of life and beyond the noise, You come.  This is the place I desire to be, help us get there and through faith I know You are.  Prayers for a family with a sick father, strengthen them Lord as You are.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts - Listen

Daily Thoughts - Listen

"Martha, burdened with much serving, came to him and said, "Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me by myself to do the serving? Tell her to help me." The Lord said to her in reply, "Martha, Martha, you are anxious and worried about many things. There is need of only one thing. Mary has chosen the better part and it will not be taken from her."  Luke‬ ‭10:40-42‬

Both Mary and Martha are with Jesus, both are hearing what Jesus is saying.  Mary, is content to sit and listen, not concerned with anything other than being in His presence.  Martha is busy, lots to do but her focus is Mary and her lack of concern.  She is not content to just be.

Each day, we visit, I listen with the minds eye and try to glean the message of God.  He knows all and He teaches all, are we willing to come before God and listen.  Only in listening to God will He transform us.  If Martha doesn't listen to Jesus, she will continue missing the message.  If Mary listens, she will hear what is being said.

Life happens, we are not in control of its outcome other than what is put in front of us.  Do not miss God speaking to you this day, are you on the right path or are you too busy focused on self to not hear?

Dear Father, You begin speaking as I wake up, I see You in the morning and through out the day.  Each day is a new adventure, may I be attentive to Your voice.  Prayers for a eye that needs healing, You are God Almighty, in this You are making straight on crooked lines.  Thank You Jesus for another day, Amen.

Daily Thoughts - Live out the Gospel

Daily Thoughts - Live out the Gospel

"There was a scholar of the law who stood up to test him and said, "Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?"  ‭‭Luke‬ ‭10:25‬

Listen to Jesus as He tells us how to gain eternal life.   It is in the story of the Good Samaritan where He shows us faith in action, where the Gospel is proclaimed in actions without any words.  Luke 10:25-37   Where loving God is in seeing God in another weary soul trying to get through this life.

Like the scholar of the law, we can know the word of God but without love of neighbor we are a resounding gong that goes unheard in the eyes of God.  Does works get us to Heaven?  No they don't but they demonstrate our love for God.  Each day we are given is another to serve God in being a slave to the Gospel.  And all we have to do is see what God sees, His child, made in His image.

Dear Father, I see a many of weary traveler wandering in the desert of life.  Seeking what their hearts truly desire and the answer is in front of us each day hidden behind actions that You ask of us.  Thank You for the gift of site and the desire, may I be a pleasing offering in Your site.  Prayers for the victims on the road of life.  Amen.
