Numbers Chapter 27 - God’s faithfulness

"who will be their leader in battle and who will lead them out and bring them in, that the LORD's community may not be like sheep without a shepherd." And the LORD replied to Moses: Take Joshua, son of Nun, a man of spirit, and lay your hand upon him." ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭27:17-18‬

God's faithfulness - Jesus spoke in parables so His disciples and followers would have to dig for the meaning, to allow His word to penetrate their souls.  Jesus is the Word and God does not change, Numbers is Jesus  What do I see as hidden, God's heritage is to be passed on, from one to another within His family - Holy Orders, a sacrament within the Catholic Church.  Moses, God's chosen one, paid a price for his disobedience even though God forgive him - penance.  Something I receive from a priest after going to confessions.  When reading scripture there is a story but there is so much more when we quiet ourselves and listen with the heart, where God resides.

What is God saying to me:  In life, those that follow me will be directed by My will and those that have been appointed over them.  We must learn humility and recognize who I have put in place to shepherd you.  These shepherds must be tested that it is I, God, who directs their steps.  Listen to My voice and do My will.

Dear Father, we have embarked on a new journey, it is a new year and the Child Jesus is growing within.  Help each of us understand it is baby steps each day, we live in an instant culture but You operate over time.   I thank You for Your blessings and Your insights.  I pray for all that are learning to listen to You, there are many voices in our lives always trying to distract, may Your voice be the clearest in each of us.  You are Mighty God and You are my God.  Prayers for a friend with a troubled spot in His marriage, all will be well, in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Blessed Mother, Pray for us.

Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  1 John 4:4b
