Week 22 - The Journey Day 7
"Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil." Matthew 4:1
Have you been led into the desert? An arid and dry place that is not your normal way of life. It is like another world and as you try and make sense of it, the only thing that brings about peace is the knowledge that you are loved that much that God allows this to happen. We are surrounded by the world bombarding our senses, it is the Spirit of God that leads us. Are we good followers willingly going where God directs us?
"He therefore let you be afflicted with hunger, and then fed you with manna, a food unknown to you and your ancestors, so you might know that it is not by bread alone that people live, but by all that comes forth from the mouth of the Lord." Deuteronomy 8:3
What is God saying to me? The food that I give is for eternal life with Me?
Dear Father, bless this day, thank You for the gifts of goodness that fall upon us. Watch over us this day, keep us in Your loving arms and prepare us for forever. Blessings upon a loved one going through a desert, not knowing the next turn and learning to trust in Your Divine wisdom. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
