Daily Thoughts 2-28-2017 Sirach 35:3-4

"By works of charity one offers fine flour, and one who gives alms presents a sacrifice of praise." ‭‭Sirach‬ ‭35:3-4‬

Back in the Old Testament, the offering of flour was used to feed the poor and alms giving was also used for those in need.  How we give makes a difference, is it done out of love, do we do it so others can see.  We have opportunities each day to give love, do we stop and help someone in need.  How  you treat others is another way of singing praise to God.  To follow Christ is to love your fellow man as He would.  Building our treasure in Heaven isn't just putting our tithe into the collection plate, it is much more than that.  

Dear Heavenly Father, You present to us another day to follow You.  Today will be different, I ask that I think about my actions and how they praise and worship You.  May my eyes not be focused on self but see the injustices around me and do something.  May my life praise You with the gifts that You have provided and may it always be done with love.  Triune God be my all, Triune God be my all, Triune God be my all. Amen.

Daily Thoughts 2-27-2017 Mark 10:24

"The disciples were amazed at his words. So Jesus again said to them in reply, "Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God!" ‭‭Mark‬ ‭10:24‬

I wonder how our culture of instant gratification sees this verse?  Most do not want to work for something, they want it now, so they go into debt to get it.  The things of this world that we treasure places burdens on us, they weigh us down.  It is not easy to enter the kingdom of God.  We save for the kingdom each day by turning to God and giving Him our time and talents.  It isn't instant but the rewards are everlasting.  Are you building a treasure here on earth or is your treasure the Lord of Lords?

Dear Lord Jesus, I thank You for Your blessings.  I thank You for Your guidance and Your joy.  I ask that You show me the things that are making it difficult for me to get into heaven.  I ask for the grace to follow Your direction in our journey.  Bless this day with peace, protect those that I work and play with.  Watch over our efforts that glorify You.   I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 2-26-2017 Psalms 62:2

"My soul rests in God alone, from whom comes my salvation." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭62:2‬

Do you ever get anxious about things?  Do you worry about things or situations?  Just curious, does being anxious or worrying, does it ever solve the problem?  Our focus is upon ourselves or the situation.  When our focus turns to God and trusting in Him, we will find peace.   This life is to prepare us for eternity and it is God who will grant it to you.  God at the center and you focused on Him, you will be at rest.  God's got it, stop worrying, just do your part and pray. 

Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for the song birds in the morning.  They are well taken care of by You.   You bless us each day with all that we need.  Help me keep Christ at the center of my life, I ask for this grace.   May my focus always be on Him.  Thank You for the graces that You have already given, You are amazing.  Amen.

Daily Thoughts 2-25-2017 Sirach 17:1

"The Lord created human beings from the earth, and makes them return to earth again."‭‭ Sirach‬ ‭17:1‬ ‭

You don't have to believe in God, or follow His rules, we all know that we have a limited number of days on earth.  We start out in life, very innocent, believing everything that we are told.  As we get older, we get tougher and harder and begin to make our own decisions.  

God warns us "Amen, I say to you, whoever does not accept the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it."" ‭‭Mark‬ ‭10:15‬.  Our bodies will return to earth and our spirit will go somewhere, the spirit is what makes you, you.  "then the LORD God formed the man out of the dust of the ground and blew into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being." ‭Genesis‬ ‭2:7‬ The breath of life is your spirit, the body is just the mode of transformation, they both will have a place for eternity.  

Dear Heavenly Father, I ask that You bless this day with insight.  May my thoughts think about the journey I am on, are my actions a reflection of the spirit You gave me at the beginning of life.  May I seek Your counsel in my times of need.  My ways Lord seem to get me in trouble, I much rather follow You.  Keep me on the path today and do not let the devil distract me.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 2-24-2017 Mark 1:2

"As it is written in Isaiah the prophet: "Behold, I am sending my messenger ahead of you; he will prepare your way."  Mark‬ ‭1:2

Are you following Christ?  For most of my life, I wasn't following, I was leading.  With that came all kind of issues, and most of all no peace.  When we follow Christ, He is leading the way.  You are at peace even though you don't know the answers.  God prepares the way, He guides you and prepares you as well.  Let Jesus take the wheel, He sees into the future.  

Dear Heavenly Father, life is so much better when we follow You. Even the things we are anxious about go away.   I trust You with all my heart.  May I not compare myself to someone else,  you prepare each of us differently t. I thank You Lord for making the path straight.  I look forward to the lessons that you have made ready for today, Your servant is listening.   I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 2-23-2017 Mark 9:49-50

""Everyone will be salted with fire. Salt is good, but if salt becomes insipid, with what will you restore its flavor? Keep salt in yourselves and you will have peace with one another."" Mark‬ ‭9:49-50‬

Salt adds flavor, it helps food taste better.  The Holy Spirit came upon the Apostles with fire.  The Holy Spirit adds flavor to our spirit, He enhances who we are.  We are given the Holy Spirit throughout our lives and like a fire, He seeks us to keep the fire stoked.  Free will, do you choose to listen to His spirit or do you decide to put it off another day.  Be careful on becoming insipid, without flavor, the fire will slowly go out.  Or another way to think about it, you will go back to your old ways and not have peace within.  Feed the fire, get engaged, do something.  

Dear Lord, I ask that You increase my desire, Your Holy Spirit knows what I need.  May I listen and follow what I know I should do.  Strengthen my faith Lord, may I overcome my challenges by doing and not sitting in fear.  The Spirit is willing Lord but the flesh is weak, You know how to move me, I give You authority to move me.  Come Holy Spirit, come.   I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 1-22-2017 1 Peter 5:2-3

"Tend the flock of God in your midst, [overseeing] not by constraint but willingly, as God would have it, not for shameful profit but eagerly. Do not lord it over those assigned to you, but be examples to the flock." ‭1 Peter‬ ‭5:2-3‬

Peter is preaching and he is directing these verses to the presbyters.  What is a presbyter?  An elderly minister in the Church.  So one could read this and justify that Peter wasn't speaking to them.   Are we not all leaders?  You are leading, what is your example showing others?  Maybe you don't believe you have a flock, Peter can't be speaking to me.  Look around you, whom has God placed in your midst to attend?  It isn't just you.  It is your family, your coworkers, your relatives, a complete stranger even.   Be careful with your example, little eyes are watching. 

Dear Lord God, You are the Chief Shepherd that I turn to each day in the quiet of the morning.  I thank You for this grace Lord and I thank You for speaking, while I am in Your midst.  Lord, I ask that You increase my desire to sit quietly with You through out the day.  Lead me Lord to always follow Your example.  Send Your Holy Spirit Lord to build the Church.  Be our protection today as we go into battle.  I ask this through Jesus Christ, my Lord and my Redeemer, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 2-21-2017 Ben Sira 2:10

"Consider the generations long past and see: has anyone trusted in the Lord and been disappointed? Has anyone persevered in his fear and been forsaken? has anyone called upon him and been ignored?" Ben Sira‬ ‭2:10‬

Is there a trial or tribulation that will separate you from God?  What happens when your world seems to crumble around you, and you feel lost?  Pain and suffering is never easy to endure, God is always by your side even when it doesn't feel like He is.  The stories in the Bible are about people's journey, they tell of their struggles and victories, those that trust in God and endure receive their reward in Heaven.   God never leaves us, He gives us what we need, even if it doesn't seem like it.  "Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding."  Proverbs‬ ‭3:5‬

Dear Lord God, I love You!  I ask for words of wisdom and encouragement today.  I ask my spirit be filled with joy and over flowing with zest for life.  Lord may I just see this day and not  tomorrow.  Your plans Lord are never to disappoint us, they are to give us hope and trust in You.  May my faith and understanding in You increase with each passing day.  I ask this through Jesus Christ, my Lord and Redeemer, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 2-20-2017 Mark 9:22b-23

"But if you can do anything, have compassion on us and help us." Jesus said to him, "'If you can!' Everything is possible to one who has faith."" ‭‭Mark‬ ‭9:22b-23‬

"If you can!", it is Jesus's response that got my attention this morning.  How many times do we come to Jesus with the same kind of question.  Nothing is impossible for God.  Jesus tells us it is faith that we need.  I like the fathers response to Jesus.  "Then the boy's father cried out, "I do believe, help my unbelief!"" Mark‬ ‭9:24‬.  As we journey with Christ our faith increases and are unbelief decreases.  Spend time each day and like the crowd be amazed.  When was the last time you had a face to face with Jesus?  It is a great way to start the day.  "Immediately on seeing him, the whole crowd was utterly amazed. They ran up to him and greeted him."

Dear Lord Jesus, each day brings about new opportunities to increase our faith.  Help us spend time in Your presence, remove our unbelief as we grow closer to You.   Help us see the possibilities for our lives as we spend time together.  You are my leader Lord, all I want to do is follow Your direction.  Thank You for this beautiful rain this morning.  I ask these things in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 2-19-2017 Matthew 5:45

"that you may be children of your heavenly Father, for he makes his sun rise on the bad and the good, and causes rain to fall on the just and the unjust."  ‭Matthew‬ ‭5:45‬

We are all God's creation, do you think God loves one more than the other?  I think He loves us equally, it is in how we respond to His love and how we respond to those around us.  Jesus treated everyone equally, those that seek Him out are the ones who are healed.  Our own actions are what bring us closer to God or farther away.  God always stays the same.

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for another beautiful day that is filled with Your presence.  The decisions I make today will draw me closer to You, guide my thoughts to always seek You.  I only want to please You, when I do slip up, I know You are waiting with open arms to receive me and give me forgiveness.  In Jesus name, Amen.

"By faith we understand that the universe was ordered by the word of God, so that what is visible came into being through the invisible." ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11:3‬

The power of spoken word, God spoke the world into existence.  Maybe you don't believe this but doesn't your tongue speak your world into existence then why not God?  Faith plays an important part in our salvation, and we must have child like faith.  Have you set a goal, told a friend and then achieved it?  That was speaking the invisible into existence.  You had belief and faith you could do it.  Everything that is around us just didn't fall into place by sheer luck, it was designed by the Master! If you don't believe, ask for faith, God gives to those who ask!

Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I thank You for Your gracious companionship.  I praise You for being my Creator, Savior and Lord, may I take Your blessings to my day and may Your presence envelope and permeate all my thoughts and actions, through Christ our Lord, Amen.  Triune God be my all!  Triune God be my all!  Triune God be my all!

Daily Thoughts 2-17-2018 Mark 9:1

"He also said to them, "Amen, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see that the kingdom of God has come in power.""  Mark‬ ‭9:1‬

What showed the kingdom of God come in power?  The people of that time needed a king who would save them from the suppression they were under.  Jesus was in high demand, healing the sick and casting out demons.  Even while doing these things He was showing them what it meant to be in the kingdom of God, yet they didn't understand.  On Palm Sunday they praised their King as he rode in on a donkey.  This was their savior.  Christ surrendered His will to the Father, Jesus changes how the word power is used.  The kingdom is of God came in power when Jesus surrendered Himself and crawled on to the cross.  Have You surrendered?  Or are you still afraid of death 

Dear Lord Jesus, You are mighty when it appears You are weak.  I ask for help in not buying into the worlds view of power.  Lord, Your Kingdom didn't come until You died on a cross.  Help me surrender as You did for the Father.  Bless this day with understanding and insight.  Guard us from the wickedness of the devil and may we do the will of the Father today.  Jesus, Lead the way, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 2-16-2017 Genesis 9:16

"Anyone who sheds the blood of a human being, by a human being shall that one's blood be shed; For in the image of God have human beings been made." ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭9:6‬

In the beginning of the Bible it is foretelling the death of Christ.  Jesus sheds His own blood for all of humanity.  If we are made in the image of God and Jesus sheds His blood for our sins, it means our attacks on others are really attacks on the Son of Man!  Does that change how you respond to others?  I think it would.   Who are you ultimately hurting with your attacks? Yourself, God's creation and Christ.  

Dear Heavenly Father, You are always present in our lives, You see the struggles we endure each day.  Help me see how my actions are hurting others and ultimately You.  Lord God, You win the battle, I give my day to You.  Keep my pride in check, may I remain in peace all day.  May I think of Jesus when I want to respond quickly and not think.  I ask this in the name of Jesus,Amen.

Daily Thoughts 2-15-2017 Mark 8:25

"Then he laid hands on his eyes a second time and he saw clearly; his sight was restored and he could see everything distinctly."  Mark‬ ‭8:25‬

Why did it take two attempts for the blind man to see?  Jesus doesn't need two tries to get it right, He is always perfect.  Was it the blind man's faith?  We are human and we don't always see things right the first time.  God must continue to work on us until we see clearly.  

Dear Lord Jesus, Your Words bring life to us, they help us see what Your plan is.  I thank You for continuing to work on me so that I can see clearly.  I hardly ever get it right the first time.  Send Your Holy Spirit to increase my faith.  May I never stop looking for You, for only You Jesus, has the healing touch.  May I respond with "Yes", when you call.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 2-14-2017 John 14:23

"Jesus answered and said to him, "Whoever loves me will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our dwelling with him."  John‬ ‭14:23‬

Valentine's Day, we go out and make sure our loved ones are remembered by getting them something to show our love.  Jesus, the Son of God, loves you, His gift to you was dying on a cross for your salvation.  There is no greater love than this!  Do you show your love to Jesus?  Is He part of your thoughts each day?   Does He dwell with you?  Have you invited Him in?  Dying on a cross isn't a good image of love in the world's view, it is the greatest image of love for Christians.  Be sure to remember Jesus today, may He dwell in your heart forever!

Daily Thoughts 2-13-2017 Genesis 4:7

"If you act rightly, you will be accepted; but if not, sin lies in wait at the door: its urge is for you, yet you can rule over it."  ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭4:7‬

Attitude, how we feel plays an important part in our life.  I remember as a kid, I wouldn't feel like going to school and I would tell my mother I was feeling sick.  She would always say get up, take a shower you will feel better.  I always made it to school.   Even though I didn't feel good, she taught me my actions were what was important.   If I continued my normal routine, I would begin to feel better.   God gives us free will to choose right or wrong, your actions will determine if you rule over sin or sin rules over you.   We know what happened to Cain, He let his feelings lead him to the path of his destruction.

Dear Lord God, I thank You for the life lessons I was taught as a kid.  I thank You for growing up in a loving home.  Lord, You give us the ability to  choose, may I  always choose rightly.  May I not let my attitude dictate my actions, may my actions dictate my attitude.  You are the loving God, I look forward to a day filled with joy.  I ask this in Your most holy name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 2-12-2016 Matthew 5:24

"leave your gift there at the altar, go first and be reconciled with your brother, and then come and offer your gift."  Matthew‬ ‭5:24‬

Carrying grudges, do you think Jesus carried any grudges?  Not a one, He tells us to deal with them.  I know we can be hurt by others, but eternity isn't worth giving up over some earthly matters.  God wants your gifts but more importantly He wants a clean heart before the gift.  "A clean heart create for me, God; renew within me a steadfast spirit."  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭51:12‬. It is time.  

Dear Lord God, we let things get in the way, show us how love can overcome all our earthly desires.  Help us see past hurts and pains for they affect You, especially on the cross.  Thank You Lord for dying on the cross for my salvation may I be strengthened by the pain You endured for me.  Bless this day Lord God, I ask for the guidance of the Holy Spirit to continue to cleanse my heart.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 2-11-2017 Genesis 3:21

"The LORD God made for the man and his wife garments of skin, with which he clothed them."  ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3:21‬

As you read the story of Adam and Eve, there is much to come away with.  They confessed to God what they done, God gave them penance and then He takes care of them.  The same is true for us, God is always ready to help us.  Are you willing to accept the gifts God gives you?  Are you open to His compassion or do you still want to do it your way.  When was the last time you received the sacrament of confession?  Go be clothed in God's mercy.  As He did with Adam: "The LORD God then called to the man and asked him: Where are you?"‭‭  Genesis‬ ‭3:9‬. He waits patiently.  

Lord God, You are always at the ready to clothe us with Your mercy.  Open our eyes to see the love that You have for us even after we have sinned against You.  Thank You Lord for healing of friends and the blessings You pour out on Your community.  I thank You for the day that lays ahead.  In Your most holy name, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 2-10-2017 Genesis 3:1-3

"Now the snake was the most cunning of all the wild animals that the LORD God had made. He asked the woman, "Did God really say, 'You shall not eat from any of the trees in the garden'?" The woman answered the snake: "We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden; it is only about the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden that God said, 'You shall not eat it or even touch it, or else you will die.'"" Genesis‬ ‭3:1-3‬

Temptation, is a trap we can fall into if we are not careful.  We are also given instruction by God as well, the Ten Commandments.  What question is the snake asking you?  He uses our own intellect and emotions to lay the trap.  God gives us a great world to live in and we like Adam and Eve have the same choice.  Do we follow God's instructions or do we act on the whispers of the devil.  God's ways brings joy and happiness, the devils way brings misery.  

Dear Lord Jesus, it is a tricky world with many opportunities to fall victim to sin.  Help us see the consequences of sin before we act upon temptation.  Guide our thoughts to always honor You, our Savior.  Help us see how prayer prepares us each day to go into the world.  I thank You Lord for the good fruit that You give us each day that benefits us.  May we encourage others to live a life of faith by our actions.   I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 2-9-2017 Mark 7:27-28

"He said to her, "Let the children be fed first. For it is not right to take the food of the children and throw it to the dogs." She replied and said to him, "Lord, even the dogs under the table eat the children's scraps.""
‭‭Mark‬ ‭7:27-28‬

Unity, this is the message of today's readings.  

Why would Jesus make this comment to a woman who was kneeling at His feet begging to heal her daughter?   Jesus wanted to know was she in union with God or was she going to become offended with Him.  Every day we are dealt blows, do we get mad at God or are we in union with Him?  Do we recognize who the fight is with?  The evil one who stops at nothing to separate us from God.  

Lord God, we live in a world that desperately needs You.  I Thank You for being in my thoughts each morning.  I thank You for the reminder to put on the battle armor as I go out into the world.  Lord, may I accept what comes my way, may I remember to love as You love and may I make every effort to do Your will.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 2-8-2017 Genesis 2:16-17

"The LORD God gave the man this order: You are free to eat from any of the trees of the garden except the tree of knowledge of good and evil. From that tree you shall not eat; when you eat from it you shall die."
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭2:16-17‬

God knew the outcome of not obeying Him, He forewarns us of what will happen.  Yet man's curiosity got the better of him, the result was death, death of the spirit.  Not obeying created separation from God and eventually death.  What things in your life are you not obeying God?What knowledge have you gained is worth being separated from God?  The choices we make each day impact us greatly.  Do I take time to pray and get to know God or do watch TV instead.  Do I obey the ten commandments or do I break them, thinking God understands why.  These all create separation so be careful not to fall victim to the tree of knowledge..  

Dear Lord God, my own free will gets me in trouble.  I turn to You for strength each day.  I ask for Your help and guidance to protect me from the tree of knowledge.  You are a loving God but I do not want to invoke Your anger, keep me on the straight path that leads to you.  May I slow down and listen to the beauty You provide to brighten my day.  I ask this through Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 2-7-2017 Genesis 1:31

"God looked at everything he had made, and found it very good. Evening came, and morning followed—the sixth day."  Genesis‬ ‭1:31‬

Man was made on the sixth day in the image of God.  We are His creation and made perfect after Him.  Our own free will takes God's creation and creates imperfections.  You ever wonder what God thinks when He looks down on earth and sees His creation.  He sees His children lost and wandering about and He also sees His children trying to follow the Shepherd, His Son.  Maybe this will help you today to follow:  "But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the desires of the flesh."

‭‭Romans‬ ‭13:14‬. May God's Word strengthen you for the journey. 

Dear Heavenly Father, You see what man can not.  Guide our steps today to use our free will to glorify You, to not anger You in any way.  May Your Holy Word ring true for us today and keep us moving forward towards You. Bless Your angels that are doing Your will and increase the faith of all those made in Your image, I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 2-6-2017 Gen 1:3-4

"Then God said: Let there be light, and there was light. God saw that the light was good. God then separated the light from the darkness." ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1:3-4‬

Let there be light, by the power of God, day and night were created.  He spoke them into existence.  What about you, did He not also speak you into existence.  It isn't chance that got you here, it was God who willed you here.  The same God who created the heavens and the earth, created you.  Is your life a reflection of how wonderfully made you are.   We can all do better, continue moving towards the light, It is good.  Jesus, is the way, the truth and the life.  

Dear Heavenly Father, You always seek us out even if we are not looking for you.  Guide us each day to draw closer to You and Your purpose.  Not only did You create the heavens and the earth for a purpose, You created each of us for a purpose.  May our journey here find that purpose and be fulfilled.  Pour out Your blessings on the lost and the lonely, I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 2-5-2017 Isaiah 58:7

"Is it not sharing your bread with the hungry, bringing the afflicted and the homeless into your house; Clothing the naked when you see them, and not turning your back on your own flesh?" Isaiah‬ ‭58:7‬

In our faith, we are fed when we go to church, what do you do with the food that is given you?  Jesus shared His life with everyone He met, He would meet their needs only then would they know He was God.  We are called to share what we are given, hoarding it for ourselves doesn't benefit anyone even ourselves.  Only in giving do we receive.  

Dear Lord, I am an imperfect human, help me live the life You call me too.  May I not judge someone in need but rather help fill their need.  May I learn to do as You did when dealing with others.  I ask this in Your most holy name, Jesus, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 2-4-2017 Hebrews 13:16

"Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have; God is pleased by sacrifices of that kind." Hebrews‬ ‭13:16‬

I visited with a friend yesterday who recently lost his wife.  He was telling me of some of the sorrows he was experiencing while he was alone during a hunting trip.  He was walking  in a field and questioning God, feeling sorry for himself, which is completely understandable.  God gave him a sign right as he was asking why.  

He shared an experience that lifted my spirit, he was doing good.  Being kind to others comes in many forms.  Remember your faith was given to you through others, be sure to share and not neglect in praising God with your life. 

Dear Lord, our words impact others in profound ways, I am sorry for my moments of frustration.   May I not neglect in always doing good whether in word or deed.  I only want to please You, the One who gives me breath each day.   Please console those who are grieving a loved one, let them know that everything will be ok.  Let them know that they are loved by You, the Creator of the universe.   I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 2-3-2017 Mark 6:26

"The king was deeply distressed, but because of his oaths and the guests he did not wish to break his word to her." ‭‭Mark‬ ‭6:26‬

You ever savor the sweetness of truth, you know it when you hear it.  It resonates within your heart knowing what is true.  Herod enjoyed listening to John the Baptist, he enjoyed the truth he spoke.  Why did he behead John?  Even though he enjoyed listening to the truth he still served his own interests.  Sin comes in many forms but truth will never lead you astray.  Which one do you follow?  

Dear Lord Jesus, You are the living truth that speaks to us regularly.  May I not only listen to Your word but follow Your word.  I do not want to anger You by twisting the truth to meet my needs.  Bless this day Lord, bless our actions and may we all follow what You tell us.  I ask this through Jesus Christ, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 2-2-2017 Luke 2:29-30

""Now, Master, you may let your servant go in peace, according to your word, for my eyes have seen your salvation," ‭‭Luke‬ ‭2:29-30‬

These are beautiful words, chew on them for a bit.  God seeks each of us to live by them and say them.  Simeon was a man of faith, who worshipped and honored God with his life.  He was obedient to the Father and His will.  He didn't fear death, after presenting Jesus, I believe he looked forward to it.  He knew he was going to the promised land.  Jesus is our salvation, He is our sin offering, will You present Him to the Master as well.  

Lord God, You came into this world for one thing and that is our salvation.  You give us the opportunity for eternal life.   May I be like Simeon and follow Your direction and guidance.  I pray for my friends and family this morning, watch over them and keep them safe.  I ask that more people come to know the one true holy Catholic apostolic church.  May they see how Your people worship You during mass.  I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

"He was amazed at their lack of faith. He went around to the villages in the vicinity teaching." ‭Mark‬ ‭6:6‬

Do you think it would be any different today, if Jesus was teaching?  We want to see before we believe, we want proof.  That is knowledge not faith.  As a society we are no different than the time ofJesus.  It is your faith that gives other people faith, they see what you believe in.  Our actions speak louder than words, so today think about your faith and what that is saying to others.  How can I help others believe in the miracles of Jesus?

Dear Lord God, You are always with us, may I demonstrate that today in my actions.  May I take a deep breath and thing before I respond.  Lord, You deserve all our praises, may i honor You today in my thoughts and prayers.  Lord, I ask for healing for all dealing with cancer, they demonstrate their faith in You so easily.  Bring peace and calm into their world Lord.  I ask this through Jesus Christ, our Lord and redeemer, Amen.
