As you read the story of Adam and Eve, there is much to come away with. They confessed to God what they done, God gave them penance and then He takes care of them. The same is true for us, God is always ready to help us. Are you willing to accept the gifts God gives you? Are you open to His compassion or do you still want to do it your way. When was the last time you received the sacrament of confession? Go be clothed in God's mercy. As He did with Adam: "The LORD God then called to the man and asked him: Where are you?" Genesis 3:9. He waits patiently.
Lord God, You are always at the ready to clothe us with Your mercy. Open our eyes to see the love that You have for us even after we have sinned against You. Thank You Lord for healing of friends and the blessings You pour out on Your community. I thank You for the day that lays ahead. In Your most holy name, Jesus Christ, Amen.
