Jesus speaks truth, He speaks what the Father gives Him to say. The people were not used to hearing such truths for it was quite a contrast to what they normally heard from the scribes and Pharisees. Are the times any different now, some trying to push their agenda or cover up some falsehood. Jesus spoke with authority, directly from the Father and what He said happened. It wasn't half truths or twisted to fit some agenda. "and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."" John 8:32
Dear Lord Jesus, we live in a world not any different than during Your days. May the truth of Christ fill our hearts and pass our lips. Give us the grace to speak the truth all the time. Give us the grace to walk in the truth at all times. Remove from us the burden of sin so our words are Your words. A Special prayer for a friend that is struggling, give him strength to overcome the lies of the world. May the Spirit of Truth fill his soul. I ask this in Your most holy name, Amen.
