Daily Thoughts 6-30-2017 Psalms 128:1-2

"Blessed are all who fear the LORD, who walk in obedience to him. You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours." ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭128:1-2‬

Living in peace at all times requires us to walk in obedience to Him.  We will eat the fruit of our handiwork, when things ain't going right it is most likely because we did it our way.    "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭2:20‬. There is new life in Christ, the old is gone and only He lives in you, be obedient to His will, slow down and think, what would Jesus do?  Then you will enjoy the fruit of your labor.

Dear Lord, sometimes we have to swallow a bitter pill because we created the outcome.  Remove any greed or envy from my spirit.  Lead me today Lord to do Your will, Your Spirit speaks thru me, thru my actions and thru my responses.  Teach me Lord to always be obedient to You and our Heavenly Father, in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 6-29-2017 Psalms 34:2-3

"I will bless the LORD at all times; his praise shall be always in my mouth. My soul will glory in the LORD; let the poor hear and be glad." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭34:2-3‬

Is your daily life a living prayer to God?  Not an easy task as life comes at you, but you must learn to slow down and think before you respond.  God gave you a great weapon to use to glorify Him, your brain.  "And do not present the parts of your bodies to sin as weapons for wickedness, but present yourselves to God as raised from the dead to life and the parts of your bodies to God as weapons for righteousness." ‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:13‬. So today as you live, slow down and think, then present your response in a way that will glorify and praise God at all times.  

Dear Lord God, thank You for a blessed day, thank You for Your trust that you place in each of us.  Thank You for the guidance of the Holy Spirit each and every day.  Help me as I respond to life in a loving way that brings You honor.  May my day be my offering of prayer back to You. I ask this in Jesus name, amen.

Daily Thoughts 6-28-2017 Psalms 105:6-7

"You descendants of Abraham his servant, offspring of Jacob the chosen one! He the LORD, is our God whose judgments reach through all the earth." Psalms‬ ‭105:6-7

I am thankful that we can turn to God and seek His strength to fortify us each day.  When God took Abram out and pointed up to the night sky.  He told Abram his descendants would be as numerous as the stars, God was speaking about you!  Each day we need reminded to reflect upon God, to realize it is He who gives us breath.  Thank Him for all that comes your way even the trials and tribulations.  Do you think it was easy for Abram?

My prayer this morning from the morning liturgy of the hour.  

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. In his great mercy, he gave us new birth into a living hope by his Son's resurrection from the dead. To him we pray:

– Father, give us your strength.

Turn our eyes to Jesus Christ your Son.

  May he lead us in our faith and bring it to perfection.

– Father, give us your strength.

We pray for cheerfulness and a generous heart;

  may we bring joy to our homes, to our work, and to all whom we meet.

– Father, give us your strength.

We pray for all who are working today;

  be with them at home and in the city, in the factory and in the fields.

– Father, give us your strength.

We pray for those who have no work;

  we pray for the disabled and the sick, for those who cannot find work, and for those who are retired.

– Father, give us your strength.

Daily Thoughts 6-27-2017 Matthew 7:6

"Do not give what is holy to dogs, or throw your pearls before swine, lest they trample them underfoot, and turn and tear you to pieces." ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:6‬

Have you ever jumped into a conversation where the other person was having no part of it.  As a Christian we must recognize where the other person is at.  To sit and try and talk about God or offer advice when they are not ready is useless.  Jesus would listen to them and help them with the problem at hand.  He would first heal them and then they would be receptive to His message.  Next time just listen and try and understand from their viewpoint.  Ask God for help, He is always listening. 

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your attentive ear, never have You forced Yourself upon us.  May Your Word penetrate my heart, may I seek to understand today versus being understood.  Open my spirit up to Your kindness and mercy towards others.  Bless this day as you have blessed this morning.  Triune God be my all.  Triune God be my all.  Triune God be my all.

"Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people chosen as his inheritance." ‭‭Psalms‬ 33:12

All people are chosen as His inheritance, He gives us free will to respond to our Heavenly Father with the love He gives us.   Is God your Lord, it is a choice we make each day, to listen to His call.  We are His adopted sons and daughters whom He blesses.   Our nation was founded upon Godly principles, as a group we are not to turn our back on these principles.  God has had His hand in our past and in our future.  

Dear Lord God, our days are hectic and taking time to honor You can get away from us.  Help me focus my energies to include You in all that I do.  The world is working at interfering in Your plans, may I drown at the noise with the peace and comfort that You offer.  I ask this in Jesus's name, amen.

Daily Thoughts 6-25-2017 Matthew 10:32-33

"Everyone who acknowledges me before others I will acknowledge before my heavenly Father. But whoever denies me before others, I will deny before my heavenly Father."
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭10:32-33‬

Do you acknowledge your faith before others?  There is such a simple prayer that speaks volumes at the dinner table?  "In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit."  Will you share your faith at the lunch table with those eating with you?  I have witnessed it begin a many of conversations, the choice is yours this coming week.   Will you acknowledge or deny God before your meals this week?

Dear Lord God, You call us to speak up, to be bold and share Your joy.  Engage us in conversations this week that give You honor and praise.   May we live Your Eucharistic celebration 24/7 as we continue to be transformed into the body and blood of Your Son, Jesus.   I am grateful for what you offer us, each and ever day.  In Your most holy name of Jesus, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 6-23-2017 Luke 1:62-64

"So they made signs, asking his father what he wished him to be called. He asked for a tablet and wrote, "John is his name," and all were amazed. Immediately his mouth was opened, his tongue freed, and he spoke blessing God." ‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:62-64‬

Over the course of time, God always prepared the way.  How amazing it is to hear the story of St John's father unable to talk and then he confirms his sons name.  God is still preparing the way, look around you and see God in action.  There are small signs each day of God getting us ready, get in the game, watching from the side lines is no fun.  And you are easily distracted.  

Thank You Lord God for Your blessings, You are preparing Your church for Your triumphant return.  Help each of us see our role in Your mission.   Enable us to speak boldly and sing Your praises.  Bless this day Lord God and may each of us be engaged in proclaiming the good news.  Amen.

Daily Thoughts 6-23-2017 Deuteronomy 7:8

"It was because the LORD loved you and because of his fidelity to the oath he had sworn to your ancestors, that the LORD brought you out with a strong hand and redeemed you from the house of slavery, from the hand of Pharaoh, king of Egypt." ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭7:8‬

The Lord continues to rescue His chosen people.  We are all slaves to something, what are you a slave to?  I choose to be a slave to Christ.  Jesus tells us - "For my yoke is easy, and my burden light." Matthew‬ ‭11:30‬. After Moses led God's people out of slavery they wandered in the desert for 40 years.  Jesus points the way do not loose sight of Him and you will find your way.  Make Christ the center of your life and live in peace.  

Dear Heavenly Father, You are so good to us, even in my wandering You were leading me.  I thank You for blessing this day with memories.  I am a willing servant, use me as you see fit today.  Bless Your servants with peace today, may their activities produce an abundance for Your Kingdom.  Bless those that are traveling today doing Your work and keep them safe.  I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 6-22-2017 Matthew 6:8b

"Your Father knows what you need before you ask him." Matthew‬ ‭6:8‬b

The All Knowing knows what you need, I can't help but think how we can get in the way and prevent our Father in Heaven of giving us what we need.  Jesus follows this verse with the Lord's Prayer.  Those of us who have children, have they ever asked for something that you want to give them but they are being disobedient.  As a parent you withhold from them until they correct their actions.  God knows what we need and when we need it, may I not do anything to slow His gifts down.  

Something to ponder today : "If you forgive others their transgressions, your heavenly Father will forgive you." ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:14‬

Dear Heavenly Father, I am blessed beyond measure, my words can not express my love for You.  I pray You keep guiding us towards heaven.  May I find peace during the day to reflect upon Your message today and ponder my actions.  May they always be pleasing to You.  I thank You for a restful morning enjoying the morning noises.   In Jesus name, amen.

Daily Thoughts 6-21-2017 2 Corinthians 9:8

"Moreover, God is able to make every grace abundant for you, so that in all things, always having all you need, you may have an abundance for every good work." ‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭9:8‬

All that you have was given to you by God, be thankful for what you have whether that be a little or a lot.   God always provides for our needs in all situations.  He asks us to share His gifts with others, we are not to hoard it but give to those in need.  Look around you and ask God for direction, He will show you what to do.  He waits on us to respond.  "He also told them, "Take care what you hear. The measure with which you measure will be measured out to you, and still more will be given to you." ‭Mark‬ ‭4:24‬

Dear Lord God, I thank You for another beautiful day.  I thank You Lord to be able to spend time with the love of my life.  Help us see what we are to do together.  Bless those who serve with Your grace, may their hearts overflow with joy and a sense of abundance.  Watch over each of us Lord and keep us from harms way.  I ask this through Jesus Christ, Lord and Redeemer, Amen.

"and this, not as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and to us through the will of God," 2 Corinthians‬ ‭8:5‬

God gives us His love unconditionally whether we love Him back or not.  You make choices each day to express that love or not.  I look forward to just being together with Him in the morning, it helps get the day started off right.  Then hopefully as I encounter situations I will respond in a loving way.  Everything that you see today was created by God, what will you do with the love He has given you.  

Dear Lord God, I love You, what a blessing it is to begin to know You.  Help me look upon others and situations with compassion today.  May I listen for the beauty that surrounds me and recognize You in all of it.  Bless this day Lord and thank You for Your gift of love so I may see clearly, You are always doing Your part, may I do mine.

"on the contrary, in everything we commend ourselves as ministers of God, through much endurance, in afflictions, hardships, constraints, beatings, imprisonments, riots, labors, vigils, fasts; by purity, knowledge, patience, kindness, in a holy spirit, in unfeigned love, in truthful speech, in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness at the right and at the left;" ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭6:4-7

Do circumstances impact your life or do you live in peace no matter what comes your way?  Things happen all the time in our daily lives how you respond is the difference.  We are called to endure the bad as well as the good, to recognize what it is you are to learn from it and make good out of it.  Work at living in the love of Christ and let Christ influence the outcome. His words tells us how to respond, "purity, knowledge, patience, kindness, in a holy spirit, in unfeigned love, in truthful speech, in the power of God;"

Daily Thoughts 6-18-2017 John 6:57

"Just as the living Father sent me and I have life because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on me will have life because of me." John‬ ‭6:57‬

"He said to them, "Go into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to every creature." Mark‬ ‭16:15‬.  How are we to feed on Jesus?  His life is an example we are all to live by.  We are to plant ourselves firmly in His fertile soil and be nourished by the grace of God.  "He answered, "The one who treated him with mercy." Jesus said to him, "Go and do likewise."  ‭‭Luke‬ ‭10:37‬.  God calls each of us to pick up our cross and live, He sent His Son so we might have life and have it abundantly.  "For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink." ‭‭John‬ ‭6:55‬.  The Eucharistic feast is our spiritual food for the journey, we become what we eat.  

Dear Heavenly Father, You feed us if we are willing to be fed, make us willing.  Open our eyes to what goes on around us so we may see the injustices in the world and bring Jesus to those in need.  My soul yearns for more of You Lord, teach me Your ways as we continue this journey.  May the Love of Christ continue to march around the world.  In Jesus name, Amen.  

Happy Father's Day, be the example of Jesus to your children and pass on the faith to the next generation.

"Consequently, from now on we regard no one according to the flesh; even if we once knew Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know him so no longer. So whoever is in Christ is a new creation: the old things have passed away; behold, new things have come." 2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:16-17‬

Greater is He that is in me than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4b.  What do you see when you look at others, do you see the flesh or do you see what Christ sees?  The habits we have each day define us, the habit of renewing your mind helps you think as Christ, see as Christ and live as Christ.  New things do come because you begin to realize that we are to consciously live in His spirit.  How you treat others is a reflection of how you view your self.  Continue the journey and allow Christ within to overcome the flesh.   

Dear Lord God, I praise You in the morning, I thank You thru out the day.  Help me see as You do, clean my lenses Lord so my flesh does not get in the way.  Bring Joy to all those in need, help each of us realize it is important to feed the spirit.  Help us see how growth comes from within, it is You who makes us whole.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

"But we hold this treasure in earthen vessels, that the surpassing power may be of God and not from us.

always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our body." ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:7, 10‬

Jesus is true God and pure man, it is the Holy Spirit that we carry.  Our conscience speaks to us, do we listen and obey what is of God.  Jesus died for our sins and we are to imitate Him and die to our sins.  Do I listen to God or do I listen to my earthly self.  

Lord, You speak, help me always listen and obey.  The choices oI make today will effect me tomorrow.  May I take the time to see the impact of these choices before I choose and correct me.  Your Son Jesus gave His life for all of us may I live for Him and not for self.  May the life of Christ shine thru the darkness and bring peace into the world today thru each of us.  Amen.

Daily Thoughts 6-15-2017 2 Corinthians 3:18

"All of us, gazing with unveiled face on the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, as from the Lord who is the Spirit." 2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:18‬

Have you ever experienced the presence of God?  There is an attraction that keeps you focused on Him.  To see the glory of God while yet still breathing is an amazing grace.  It tells your spirit that He is Emmanuel, He is the Creator and He is real.  Seeing is believing, these are eyes of faith I am speaking about.  Each day we are each called forward to share our joy with others.  We are each being transformed into the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ as long as we believe and put action behind our thoughts.  Have a blessed day, you are not alone.  One last thing, as a Catholic, I get to see Jesus in the Eucharist each time I go to mass, eyes of faith. 

Fellowship of the Unashamed

I am part of the fellowship of the unashamed. The die has been cast. I have stepped over the line. The descision has been made. I am a disciple of Jesus Christ.

I won't look back, let up, slow down, back away, or be still. My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, and my future is secure.

I'm finished and done with low living, sight-walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tame visions, mundane talking, cheap giving, and dwarfed goals. My pace is set, my gait is fast, my goal is heaven, my road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions few, my Guide reliable, my mission clear.

I won't give up, back up, let up, or shut up until I've preached up, prayed up, paid up, stored up, and stayed up for the cause of Christ.

I must go until He returns, give until I drop, preach until all know, and work until He comes. And when He comes, He will have no problem recognizing me. My colors will be clear. "For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ."

Daily Thoughts 6-14-2017 2 Corinthians 3:5-6

"Not that of ourselves we are qualified to take credit for anything as coming from us; rather, our qualification comes from God, who has indeed qualified us as ministers of a new covenant, not of letter but of spirit; for the letter brings death, but the Spirit gives life." 2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:5-6‬

As you look at the life of Jesus, He taught the Apostles who in turn taught others who in turn taught others.  Bet you didn't think you were a minister but you are qualified by God to pass on His faith.  Will you share the spirit of the new covenant?  Will you look at your neighbor with love?  Will you tell them about Jesus and what he is doing in your life?  "Jesus answered, "Do you say this on your own or have others told you about me?" John‬ ‭18:34‬. That is the spirit of the new covenant, us in His church spreading the good news.  

Dear Lord God, blessed be the name of Jesus, for He has ransomed a sinner like me.  You are holy Lord and deserving of all our love.  Enlighten my path today so I may see what it is I am to do.  You are my strength when I am weak.  It is You who spreads the spirit of truth, I am just a willing soul enabling You to speak to those in need.  I thank You Lord for Your Holy presence in my life and for the love I have for You.  I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.  P..S. God, thank you for God's Embrace Ministry in this community may they continue to spread Your Holy Will.

Daily Thoughts 6-13-2017 2 Corinthians 1:19

"For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was proclaimed to you by us, Silvanus and Timothy and me, was not "yes" and "no," but "yes" has been in him." ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭1:19‬

Jesus always said "YES" to the Father.  When God asked of Him, His response was yes.  Each day we are given opportunities to be like Jesus.  We are offered ways to grow in our spiritual journey.  Do you say yes?  Or are you too busy with life and let it get in the way.  From my personal experience, saying yes to God brings an abundance of joy in your heart that words do not do it justice.  Jesus always said yes to God.  

Dear Lord God, Hallelujah, my heart jumps for joy this morning.  I thank You Triune God for Your blessings.  As I go into the day Lord, use me as you see fit, my answer is yes to anything you ask.  May I not miss an opportunity to respond to Your call whether that be from friend or foe.  Bless your people Lord with Your presence so they come to know the depth of Your love for them.  Praise be the name of Jesus, and all the people said Amen.

Daily Thoughts 6-11-2017 John 3:18

"Whoever believes in him will not be condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God." John‬ ‭3:18‬

"Believing in God, the only one, and loving Him with all our being has enormous consequences for our whole life." CCC 222. To believe is to put action behind it, otherwise it is knowing about.  As I look at my life I knew about Jesus but you could say I didn't believe.  The Holy Spirit hadn't brought me to that realization until I was ready.  God tells us:""So by their fruits you will know them." ‭Matthew‬ ‭7:20‬. Belief constitutes action that is believing in the name of the only Son of God.  

Dear Lord Jesus, I believe in Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  I thank You Lord God for walking with a sinner like me, help me overcome the daily struggles by relying upon Your Holy Spirit.  Blessed be God and blessed be the name of Jesus, the one who saves.

Daily Thoughts 6-10-2017 Tobit 12:7-8

"A king's secret should be kept secret, but one must declare the works of God and give thanks with due honor. Do good, and evil will not overtake you. Prayer with fasting is good. Almsgiving with righteousness is better than wealth with wickedness. It is better to give alms than to store up gold," Tobit‬ ‭12:7-8‬

What is almsgiving?  It is doing good with the gifts that God has given you for His benefit.  We have been given many things, are you declaring the works of God?  Not in a loud way but quietly each day giving when no one knows it.  The widow women gave her last two penny's, no one knew it but God.  Her treasure wasn't here on earth, her treasure was in heaven.  The person that volunteers their time and gives to others is also not storing up gold.  Each day we are tested, think before answering the question, what would Jesus do?

Dear Heavenly Father, Your church continues to grow each day by those willing to give of themselves.  Lord, help me see how my actions impact those I come in contact with, continue to purify my spirit.  I thank You Lord for the gifts we each have, may we recognize where they come from and may we in turn give back what belongs to You.  I ask this through Your most holy name, Amen.

"Weeping, he exclaimed, "I can see you, son, the light of my eyes!" Then he prayed, "Blessed be God, blessed be his great name, and blessed be all his holy angels. May his great name be with us, and blessed be all the angels throughout all the ages." Tobit‬ ‭11:14‬

These are the words of Tobit after he is able to see.  You are not blinded by cataracts but what is blinding you from the light of Christ?  Life is hectic and always comes at us, do you recognize the blessings God has poured on you.  What message is this one bible verse telling you?  Can you see what God wants you to see?

Christ has no body now but yours. No hands, no feet on earth but yours. Yours are the eyes through which he looks compassion on this world. Yours are the feet with which he walks to do good. Yours are the hands through which he blesses all the world. Yours are the hands, yours are the feet, yours are the eyes, you are his body. Christ has no body now on earth but yours.

Daily Thoughts 6-8-2017 Mark 12:32-33

"The scribe said to him, "Well said, teacher. You are right in saying, 'He is One and there is no other than he.' And 'to love him with all your heart, with all your understanding, with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself' is worth more than all burnt offerings and sacrifices." ‭‭Mark‬ ‭12:32-33‬

The message in the word of God is constant, it never changes, it doesn't flow back and forth with changing generations.  Is God the purpose of your heart?  Do you think of Him often or just one day a week?   When life comes at you, how do you respond?   Where do you turn to for advice.  I have found the word of God to be a font of mercy, it never changes and always tells us to respond in love, which is the opposite of what the world tells us.  "My son, give me your heart, and let your eyes keep to my ways," ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭23:26‬

Dear Lord God, Your word speaks truth to my soul, it brings life to weary bones.  I thank You for Your companionship and for Your ear.  May I continue to turn to You when I am thirsty and when I am not.   Open my heart Lord God and fill me with Your unending love so my response may not be burnt offerings but be Your loving kindness.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 6-7-2017 Psalms 25:8-9

"Good and upright is the LORD, therefore he shows sinners the way, He guides the humble in righteousness, and teaches the humble his way." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭25:8-9‬

We have to be humble before we will listen or heed someone else.  God allows us to do as we will, in that, we reap what we sow.  Without God, there is no harvest that satisfies, no matter how successful there is still no joy.  Then we will begin to listen and seek, we will ask for help and God will respond.  We must be humble in order to follow God and realize it is He who gives breath to our day.  

Dear Heavenly Father, You make the proud weak with their evil ways.  You listen to the humble and contrite heart.  Hear our prayers today and answer them.  Remove from me my prideful ways so I may always hear You.  Watch over Your family Lord and keep us in Your protection.   I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 6-6-2017 Tobit 2:9-10

"That same night I washed and went into my courtyard, where I lay down to sleep beside the wall. Because of the heat I left my face uncovered. I did not know that sparrows were perched on the wall above me; their warm droppings settled in my eyes, causing white scales on them. I went to doctors for a cure, but the more they applied ointments, the more my vision was obscured by the white scales, until I was totally blind. For four years I was unable to see, and all my kindred were distressed at my condition. Ahiqar, however, took care of me for two years, until he left for Elam." ‭‭Tobit‬ ‭2:9-10‬

What blinds you?  What is that prevents you from seeing the truth?   Are there prejudices or misdeeds in the past that blurs your vision.   Each day we are under attack by the devil, it is his goal to sway our thoughts, to trip us up, to blind us to what the truth is.  Light shines thru the darkness, turn to God and ask Him for vision.  He will help you see and make sense of it.  God will keep you from falling into the trap.  

Dear Lord God, open the eyes of my heart, remove the scales from my eyes so I may see clearly to what is going on.  Bring peace to my spirit and my response.  Thank You Lord for a restful nights sleep, thank You for the refreshing of my spirit last night.  Guard us and protect each of us Lord, ensure we put on the armor of God today as we go into the vineyard that belongs to you.  I ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

Always do what is right, God sees our actions and knows our heart.  Jesus was condemned for doing what was right yet He never stopped loving those around Him.  He is the Righteous One, follow His lead and do what is right even when it hurts.  He is Your strength, no others do you need.  

Lord God, our actions You see, we can not hide from You.  Even when we are condemned You know what is right, may we never grow tired of doing good.  Bless this day Lord, bring joy to our lips and may we be a pleasing offering in Your sight.  In Jesus name, Amen.

"[Jesus] said to them again, "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you." And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, "Receive the holy Spirit." ‭‭John‬ ‭20:21-22‬

Christ be with you, when you are going forward doing the work of Christ, you are at peace, if you take Him with you.  We are sent to bring the gifts that God has given us to build His Kingdom.  Jesus tells us to go, to bring Him to others.  Receive Him, live in the Spirit, pray about what He wants you do and then share the love.   

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for the gifts of the Holy Spirit.  It is their strength in going that gives me strength.  May Your church be set a blaze with fervent followers doing Your will.  We live in a world that cries out for help, we are to receive You with open hearts and live in peace.  Build Your Church to be united as one, I ask this through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 6-3-2017 John 21:22

"Jesus said to him, "What if I want him to remain until I come? What concern is it of yours? You follow me." John‬ ‭21:22‬

Jesus is telling Peter to not concern himself with his brother John but to follow Him.  We can look at someone and ask questions about their faith journey maybe even compare ourselves to them.  Jesus tells us to not worry about it and continue to follow Him.  The only person you have any control over is the man in the mirror.  Do what God asks of you and that is to follow.   What is important to God is yours and His relationship, focus on that each day.   

Dear Lord God, we each deals with events each day that perplex us but you tell us to follow.  You give us the Holy Spirit to guide our ways, make light of the truth and help us understand.  Show us how our actions impact others and help us correct wrong actions.  Watch over our friends and families, protect them from outside influences.   Thank You for another glorious day to be received into Your Kingdom.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 6-2-2017 Acts 25:21

"And when Paul appealed that he be held in custody for the Emperor's decision, I ordered him held until I could send him to Caesar." ‭‭Acts‬ ‭25:21‬

Have you ever been to Rome?  In the coliseum stands a wooden cross and this is how Rome was conquered.  Paul began the process as he was a Roman citizen by asking for the Emperor's decision.  Jesus told Peter "Amen, amen, I say to you, when you were younger, you used to dress yourself and go where you wanted; but when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go." ‭‭John‬ ‭21:18‬.  We know how Peter died, hanging on a cross upside down.  Just like Rome,  It is the cross that is conquering the world.  

Dear Lord Jesus, bless this day with the joy of knowing You.  We are blessed beyond measure to live in this part of the world.  May I do my part in Your Kingdom.  Show me the way and I will follow.  It is You that shepherds Your flock, may I sit still and be shepherded.  Thank You Lord for the blessings of rain and the blessings of family and friends. May my response being in actions today.  I ask this through the name of Jesus, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 6-1-2017 John 17:26

"I made known to them your name and I will make it known, that the love with which you loved me may be in them and I in them."" John‬ ‭17:26‬

Jesus never stops pursuing us in a gentle way.  Our Father sent Him as His love offering to us so that we are made righteous in His sacrifice on the altar.  The love the Father has for each of us and the love His Son has for us goes beyond comprehension.  Our sins He accepted and died for them so we may be raised up to new life in Christ our Lord.  Praise God! It is unconditional love.  Give Him your worries and receive Christ into your heart.  

Dear Father God, what love You give us so we may be reunited with Your Covenant Family.  Open our spirits to Your love, continue to instruct us in Your ways.  Bring peace into our souls, cleanse us through the sacrament of confessions and may Your love radiate through our actions each day.  Thank You for the witness of others as they share Jesus with the lost and lonely, may You heal hearts this weekend.  In Jesus name, Amen.
