"The scribe said to him, "Well said, teacher. You are right in saying, 'He is One and there is no other than he.' And 'to love him with all your heart, with all your understanding, with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself' is worth more than all burnt offerings and sacrifices." Mark 12:32-33
The message in the word of God is constant, it never changes, it doesn't flow back and forth with changing generations. Is God the purpose of your heart? Do you think of Him often or just one day a week? When life comes at you, how do you respond? Where do you turn to for advice. I have found the word of God to be a font of mercy, it never changes and always tells us to respond in love, which is the opposite of what the world tells us. "My son, give me your heart, and let your eyes keep to my ways," Proverbs 23:26
Dear Lord God, Your word speaks truth to my soul, it brings life to weary bones. I thank You for Your companionship and for Your ear. May I continue to turn to You when I am thirsty and when I am not. Open my heart Lord God and fill me with Your unending love so my response may not be burnt offerings but be Your loving kindness. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
Mary, Queen of Heaven, pray for us.
