"Do nothing out of selfishness or out of vainglory; rather, humbly regard others as more important than yourselves," Philippians 2:3
Wouldn't our world be a better place if we all lived by this verse? There is such a sharp contrast to what the world says and what God does. Do you realize that God treats you as the most important, you can speak to Him at anytime, He surprises you with the unexpected, He gave His only Son so you could get to Heaven. "Rather, whoever wishes to be great among you will be your servant;" Mark 10:43b. Go and give yourself away today, be at peace today and become unimportant.
Dear Lord God, You are always there to listen, sometimes You speak, You are always there for us. I thank You Father for caring for us and guiding us to become better servants. Remove what ever vainglory may be within me, correct those faults that bring You sorrow. Thank You for being by my side Father and being the example we are all asked to live. Open the eyes of our hearts to see Your glory and what our purpose is here. Bless this day, may I be attentive to the needs of others, You are taking care of my needs. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
