Psalms 24:3-4 11-1-2018 dailythoughts.com

"Who may go up the mountain of the LORD? Who can stand in his holy place? "The clean of hand and pure of heart, who has not given his soul to useless things, what is vain." Psalms‬ ‭24:3-4‬

You ever climb a mountain?  It isn't easy, in fact it will challenge you to the core.  The great thing about climbing it, you can see the top, you see the goal.  Our spiritual journeys are much the same, the goal is being at the top with God.  Many obstacles will come before us that will challenge you, will distract us.  In my moments of weariness, I sit and be still.  Much like catching your breath as you climb a mountain.  I ask myself are my desires mine or God's.  Are the desires from above?   These moments define who we are, develop perseverance and build character.  And then you are off again climbing God's mountain with a lighter load for 'I' is out of the way.

Dear Father God, I see You looking down encouraging our progress forward.  There are many who have gone before us who have climbed Your mountain.   I trust in the desires You place within my heart, I trust You to cleanse my hands and purify my heart.  I trust You Lord for Your view is much better than mine.  Bless this day Father, prayers for a friend being challenged everyday with obstacles, help him see his way forward.  Jesus, I trust in You, Amen.

Mary, Our Lady of Victory, pray for us.

Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  1 John 4:4b
