Easter Monday - I have seen the Lord.

"Suddenly Jesus met them and said, "Greetings!" And they came to him, took hold of his feet, and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.""  ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28:9-10‬

A first hand account of an encounter with Jesus, can you picture their excitement?  Their Rabbouni (Teacher) was crucified and rose from the dead and they spoke with Him.  Their hearts were transformed as Jesus spoke to them, they can not contain themselves as they speak.  It is written on their faces, it is in their words, it is in all that they do.  Jesus gives them direction, 1) Do not be afraid, 2) go and tell, 3) and the place where He can found.

I listened yesterday to a priest that has a first hand encounter with Jesus.   The excitement in his voice, the joy that comes forth of telling the truth, you want to know what he knows.  These events can not be made up, when we encounter Jesus we are transformed.  There are too many witnesses that have seen Him.  They went to the places that others have said where He is, and they come away different.  Their faith comes alive just as Mary Magdala and the Apostles faith came alive.

Do not be afraid just go and tell the story, that's all God asks of us.  The false story is being told all the time, the story of the denial of Christ.  To this day they still try and tell that story, no joy, no excitement and no hope.

I have seen the Lord and He lives.  Greater is He that is in me than he who lives in the world.  Where have I seen Him at, on a retreat (don't miss your opportunity), in Church on Sundays, in the tabernacle during adoration, in the bread and wine that is transformed into His flesh and blood.    Jesus isn't hard to find if you are looking for Him, the trouble is most aren't looking, or don't want to believe it is real because their senses deceive them.

What is God saying to me?  Tell your story each are unique but all are transformed.

Dear Father, there is a joy that bubbles up within that just wants to give You away.  There is a sorrow for those that can not see or chose not to see, yet that will not deter the truth from being revealed.  Saul didn't believe until he encountered You then he went and spoke the truth.  Prayers for a world full of non-believers, may they encounter the Risen Lord and come to believe.   I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
