Daily Thoughts - God's Dwelling.
"Streams of the river gladden the city of God, the holy dwelling of the Most High. God is in its midst; it shall not be shaken; God will help it at break of day." Psalms 46:5-6
In scripture from Saint Paul "Do you not know that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?"1 Corinthians 3:16. I arise each day with the understanding that God dwells within. The day awaits and He and I will face it together. Am I perfect in this pursuit? No, I don't have to be but I do have to be obedient and bend to the Master of the house. He is the one that will cleanse the inside of the temple. He is the one that purifies us for sainthood.
"He found in the temple area those who sold oxen, sheep, and doves, as well as the money-changers seated there. He made a whip out of cords and drove them all out of the temple area, with the sheep and oxen, and spilled the coins of the money-changers and overturned their tables, and to those who sold doves he said, "Take these out of here, and stop making my Father's house a marketplace."" John 2:14-16. Jesus is on the inside, I am just the keeper of this dwelling place for a short time.
When you awake in the morning with this knowledge, the day becomes a joy, you rested peacefully and peace lives within even in the storm. Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. We win! "Jesus answered and said to them, "Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up."" John 2:19. We can live in the resurrection of Christ if we chose.
Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4b
