Daily Thoughts - Make God Known

Daily Thoughts - Make God Known

"On hearing that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, "Jesus, son of David, have pity on me." And many rebuked him, telling him to be silent. But he kept calling out all the more, "Son of David, have pity on me." Jesus stopped and said, "Call him." So they called the blind man, saying to him, "Take courage; get up, he is calling you." Jesus said to him in reply, "What do you want me to do for you?" The blind man replied to him, "Master, I want to see." Jesus told him, "Go your way; your faith has saved you." Immediately he received his sight and followed him on the way."  ‭‭Mark‬ ‭10‬:‭47‬-‭49‬, ‭51‬-‭52‬

Spiritual blindness.  You are not blind, you can see physically what about spiritually?  What could Bartimaeous perceive through his senses as he sat by the side of the road.  He heard the hustle and bushel, the whispers of Jesus's presence.  He perceived the excitement and the anticipation of all that were present to God.  His heart stirred and he called out for Him, he was drawn to God.

We can be blind to our environment, not really seeing what is at hand.  God sees what is going on, what is motivating the situation and our blindness to its reality can draw us in.  Adam and Eve were blind to what was happening to them until it was too late.  As you sit within prayer ask for sight, ask for Jesus to remove Your blindness.  Just like Bartimaeous, it opens up a whole new world.  Be conscious of all situations within your day and be on the way otherwise we are being lead away from God not towards Him.  Have a blessed day on your walk.

Dear Father, it is another beautiful morning filled with anticipation and hope.  You awaken our senses to the freshness of this day.  Help us always walk in Your way, help us see what drives situations and like You may we not get in a hurry, slow down our reactions and respond as You would respond.  Thank You for the blessing of vision and the opportunity to always being present to You and Your needs.  In Jesus name, Amen.
