Daily Thoughts - Make God Known. The Feast of the Visitation.

Daily Thoughts - Make God Known.   The Feast of the Visitation.

"And how does this happen to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?

Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled." Luke‬ ‭1‬:‭43‬, ‭45‬

"Shout for joy, daughter Zion! sing joyfully, Israel! Be glad and exult with all your heart, daughter Jerusalem!

The Lord, your God, is in your midst, a mighty savior, Who will rejoice over you with gladness, and renew you in his love, Who will sing joyfully because of you," ‭‭Zephaniah‬ ‭3‬:‭14‬, ‭17‬

Can you personalize Elizabeth's sentiment?  It wasn't her cousin that came to see her, it was Mary, the mother of "my" Lord.  I sit in awe as God expresses His love for His children thru holy Mother Church.  As you contemplate the visitation of Mary, what sentiments are brought up within you?  Are you overwhelmed with Joy that God is reuniting humanity and is opening the gates of Heaven.

Be blessed today knowing we are loved that much that He sent His only Son to be born of a woman.  "Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory. For the wedding day of the Lamb has come, his bride has made herself ready."‭‭Revelation‬ ‭19:7

What is God saying to me?

Dear Father God, You have given us holy Mother Church that we may celebrate in her triumph over evil.  As we live out this day may we as well shout for joy in what You are doing.  Prayers for a young family enduring the trials of life, may couples come to know it is better to endure trials than seek the easy way out, for better or for worse.  May Mary and Joesph be a living example of family life and how we are to imitate their example.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Mother of God, Pray for us.
St Joesph, Protector of the Holy Family, Pray for us.
St Patrick, Pray for us.

Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  1 John 4:4b
