Genesis 12:1
"The LORD said to Abram: Go forth from your land, your relatives, and from your father's house to a land that I will show you."
When we encounter God the future we planned changes. God ask us to step out on faith and to allow Him to plan our future. We may not have our family or friends go with us. We have to relinquish control and trust that God has you covered.
When you are in new surroundings you can no longer depend upon yourself. You seek the one who sent you - God. Ask God what He expects of you and have faith He will lead you on the journey as He did Abraham.
Lord, help us remember to take it one day at a time, just as Jesus did.
