1 Corinthians 11:27
"Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord unworthily will have to answer for the body and blood of the Lord."
Why would this verse be in the Bible if Jesus hadn't instituted the Eucharist?
We are all called to imitate Jesus, it isn't easy and we must be careful to not offend our Father in Heaven. Jesus wants what is best for us. Is there anything that you are holding back from God?
We can become so pious that we act like the Pharisee's thinking we are better than the next person. Remember it is in humility that we accept Jesus, it is He who gives us strength. Don't become so high and mighty that you turn people away.
