Daily Thoughts 10-31-2016 Philippians 2:2

"complete my joy by being of the same mind, with the same love, united in heart, thinking one thing."
‭‭
Jesus is love, His life here on earth was to demonstrate how we are to love each other.  To place others before us and not to be prideful or arrogant.  His mission was to united us with His Father, He wants each of us to have what He has.  What is standing in the way?

Dear Lord, it is my earthly desires that stands in the way, help me overcome the flesh.  May it be not be my will be done but thy will be done.  Pour out Your blessings upon us Lord so we may be of one mind and one heart, to seek the Fathers will for our lives.   I ask this through Jesus Christ, Amen.

Mary, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 10-30-2016 Luke 19:4

www.dailythoughts.com

"So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore tree in order to see Jesus, who was about to pass that way."‭‭ Luke‬ ‭19:4‬

What made Zacchaeus run ahead and climb the tree?   He was a man of wealth and position.  He had to see Jesus, he would not be denied the chance to see Him.  Further in the scripture it says that Zacchaeus received Jesus with joy.  Do you have the same devotion to our Lord?  Will you stop at nothing to see Him.  Our Lord sees our zeal and blesses us when we do as Zacchaeus did.

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for the lessons You teach me, when I fall sort of my devotion.  Jesus, I love You.  May I always be like Zacchaeus and make sure I never miss an opportunity to see Jesus.   Lord, I look forward to seeing You today at mass.  We are blessed to be able to receive real flesh and real blood of Jesus.  Amen.

Daily Thoughts 10-29-2017 Philippians 1:18

www.dailythoughts.com

"What difference does it make, as long as in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is being proclaimed? And in that I rejoice. Indeed I shall continue to rejoice," Philippians‬ ‭1:18‬

Worthy is the Lamb of all our praise and honor.  Each day we begin anew to worship and honor God.  Our lives can be lived by always praising God.  Your day can be your prayer to Him.  Christ is being proclaimed by your actions and by paying attention to His directions.  We will be given opportunity to share Him with others.  Be on the ready and let His spirit guide you, there is no greater pleasure than doing the will of God.

Dear Abba Father, I rejoice knowing Your Spirit is guiding me.  May I always honor You with my life.  I thank You Lord for listening to my prayers and for the graces that we each receive.  Give us courage today to share Your joy with others.   Bring peace into Your home so that You may shine through.   Lord I ask for special blessings on those that are ill and in need of Your healing.  May You touch them with Your healing hands and may the rest of us pray for our brothers and sisters.  I ask this in Your most precious name, Jesus Christ, amen.

Mary, most pure, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 10-28-2016 John 16:33

www.dailythoughts.com

"I have told you this so that you might have peace in me. In the world you will have trouble, but take courage, I have conquered the world.""‭‭ John‬ ‭16:33‬

Our strength comes from Jesus, when things don't seem right, turn to Him.  Sit still in the quiet of your day and just speak to God.  Life has a way of beating us up but Jesus knows how to bring peace into our lives.  Jesus mentions "peace be with you" many times.  "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give it to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid." John‬ ‭14:27‬.  Turn to Jesus and receive His peace, see what He sees.

Dear Heavenly Father, You bestow on us many gifts, help us to turn to You and learn to trust You in all things.  Lord, bring peace to those who are in pain or are struggling with a sickness.  May we all realize how blessed we are to have You in our lives.  I thank You Lord for the beautiful day that lays ahead, may the sunshine bring peace into our hearts.  In Jesus name, amen.

Daily Thoughts 10-26-2016 Ephesians 6:10

"Finally, draw your strength from the Lord and from his mighty power."
‭‭
The joy of the Lord is my strength, this rings in my spirit this morning.  We live in a crazy world, I am amazed at the stuff we have to deal with and the things that try and rob us of our strength.  Yet God always reminds us that He is our strength.  Turn to Him when you are feeling weak, He will give you strength.  Pray for one another and always be prepared to tell others where your strength comes from.

Dear Lord, You are the Master of my ship, I pray for my brothers that have not awakened You in their lives.  May we all realize that true strength comes from you and sometimes that means standing down.  Bring joy into our lives today Lord, put a little extra into each of us today so the body of Christ may become stronger.  I ask this in Your most holy name, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 10-25-2016 Psalms 116:1-2

"I love the LORD, who listened to my voice in supplication, Who turned an ear to me on the day I called." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭116:1-2‬

Prayer, what an incredible way to communicate with God.  He listens to our every prayer, we have to ask and trust.  You have not because you have not asked.  When we pray we are giving God authority in our lives, that He is master and that we trust Him for the answer.  Turn to God in prayer, this awakens Jesus in our lives.

Lord God, I thank You for listening to my prayers.  I thank You for helping us understand the power of prayer.  I thank You for answering our prayers.  Lord, help us see how important prayer is in our lives, may we always turn to You in supplication in our times of need.  In Jesus name, amen.

Daily Thoughts 10-25-2016 John 6:35

www.dailythoughts.com

"Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst."‭‭ John‬ ‭6:35‬

How is your prayer life? I realized recently that I needed to breath new life into mine and you know something God put this verse in front of me. There are lots of things that come at us, how we handle them is up to us. Where do you turn?

The Father waits patiently for us to come to Him, He fills us each time we come. We just have to come to Him. Just like eating a meal or putting gas in our car, we have to stop and feed ourselves or fill a thirsty car. Our prayer life, mass and adoration are some of the fuel stations of life. So all Jesus asks is for us to come, He does the rest.

Lord God, I am thankful Lord for Your blessings, I am thankful Lord for speaking to my spirit in the tiniest ways. You Lord know my needs and wants and You always respond when I come. May I always slow down and come to You each and everyday of my life. May You breath new life into me when I come and may I never go hungry or thirsty. In Jesus name, amen.

Daily Thoughts 10-24-2016 Ephesians 5:1-2

"So be imitators of God, as beloved children, and live in love, as Christ loved us and handed himself over for us as a sacrificial offering to God for a fragrant aroma."
‭‭
Something for you to think about today - How did Christ show His love to us?   How did He view others?  Did He speak ill of them or did He help them?  Did He laugh at crude jokes?  Did He make fun of others?

It states it clearly that we are to be imitators of God and to live in love as Christ did.  We are each called differently to express that love and we must do our part.  Be conscious of your actions and what they are saying to others.  Keep each other in your prayers today and ask that God may strengthen each of us for His purpose.

Dear Lord, the word struggles against us, please show us ways to share your love and not the message of the world.  Help us think of You and what You did when confronted with evil.   I am sorry for the times I haven't shared Your love by my actions.  I ask for Your forgiveness and Your grace to do better next time.  Be our light today Lord as we begin again another week of work.   In Jesus name, amen.

Daily Thoughts 10-23-2016 Luke 18:11

www.dailythoughts.com

"The Pharisee took up his position and spoke this prayer to himself, 'O God, I thank you that I am not like the rest of humanity—greedy, dishonest, adulterous—or even like this tax collector."‭‭ Luke‬ ‭18:11‬

Do you ever compare yourself to someone else thinking you are better than them, thinking that what you are doing is earning favor with God. The Pharisee thought that way not realizing that he was really condemning himself.

Salvation is a gift there is nothing that we do that earns it. We should guard against being self righteous for the day you believe you have arrived is the day you have begun to lose. Be like the tax collector knowing that God will one day judge you and you are at His mercy.

Dear Heavenly Father, Your word says that the prayer of the lowly is always heard, may I always remain lowly. Guide my steps each day Lord God to come to know Your ways more and more. May I never look down on others and think better of myself. May I see what you see Lord God. I ask this in the of name, Jesus, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 10-22-2016 Ephesians 4:8-9

www.dailythoughts.com

"Therefore, it says: "He ascended on high and took prisoners captive; he gave gifts to men." What does "he ascended" mean except that he also descended into the lower [regions] of the earth?" ‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:8-9‬

St Paul wrote Ephesians, he was a man that knew his Jewish faith. I couldn't help but think this morning when I read this that St Paul was practicing Lecto Divina. The scripture was speaking to him and he was passing along that knowledge.

The same spirit that empowered St Paul empowers each of us. God's word speaks to each of us in different ways. We were prisoners by sin and because Christ died for each of us, He saved us from hell. What gift has the Holy Spirit given you? I am not sure St Paul knew he was practicing Lecto Divina but he did share its benefit with God's children.

Dear Heavenly Father, there is joy and understanding when we learn and study Your word. I ask for the desire to know Your word better. I pray for those Lord that are still being held prisoner by sin. May we realize that it maybe us who will be the key to bringing Christ to them. Thank You Lord for another beautiful day and the opportunity to experience Your gifts. Amen.

Daily Thoughts 10-21-2016 Luke 12:58-59

www.dailythoughts.com

"If you are to go with your opponent before a magistrate, make an effort to settle the matter on the way; otherwise your opponent will turn you over to the judge, and the judge hand you over to the constable, and the constable throw you into prison. I say to you, you will not be released until you have paid the last penny."" ‭‭Luke‬ ‭12:58-59‬ ‭

God's word always speaks truth, He gives each of us the opportunity to settle our grievances. We do not know the hour but one day we will all stand in judgement and then it will be too late if it hasn't been settled.

Jesus is telling us we will pay the price but it is all in our control. Why not settle the matter before He has to settle it for you. Most of the time it is our perception of the matter that gets blown out of proportion. At least if you have forgiven your opponent then this gives God the ability to forgive you. Otherwise He has no other choice but to put you in jail. God's word always speaks truth.

Dear Lord, I look forward to this day. I look forward to the opportunity that lies ahead. Bring me peace in my spirit and truth in my heart today Lord. May I not pass judgement on others and may I always honor You in word and action. Send Your Holy Spirit to be with us Lord and to be our advocate when we are dealing with conflict. I thank You Lord for the world that we live in m. In Jesus name, Amen.

www.dailythoughrs.com

"that he may grant you in accord with the riches of his glory to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner self," ‭Ephesians‬ ‭3:16

The God of the universe is working with each of us if we allow Him. I must decrease so He may increase. God strengthens our inner self thru out daily actions. Do you stop and think about your choices?

Our conscience speaks to us giving each of us the ability to respond to God working within. Success builds upon success so each positive choice builds upon the last one and obviously negative choices have the reverse effect. Listen to your conscience and benefit from the glory of His riches do not negate them.

Dear Lord God, we live in a world that would like us to think it comes easy as You know it takes effort. Strengthen us today Lord for Your plan and for Your glory. Send us Your Holy Spirit and make us super sensitive to His promptings. May we listen to Your guidance in our life and bring peace to our inner self for we are all perfectly made in Your image. "and, like living stones, let yourselves be built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ." ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭2:5‬ ‭NABRE‬‬

You are Holy! You are righteous! You are redeemed! God is amazing how He speaks to us. His message today is you are His living stones that He uses to build His kingdom. Each day our journeys can be a spiritual sacrifice given to God.

You are redeemed by the Master of the house. Live your life knowing that you are chosen by God to fulfill His plan. Enjoy your day with its up and downs because God has your back. You are His, fight the good fight today and never forget - You are Holy! You are righteous! You are one of the redeemed! You are a holy priesthood!

Dear Father God, You are amazing, You bless us with unbelievable opportunities each day to grow closer to you. Open our eyes to the incredible that happens each day, even in the bad events. Help us see how it can become for Your greater glory. Lord, we are blessed beyond compare how much You care for each of us. Thank You Heavenly Father for loving me a sinner and never condemning me for my past actions because You, God, have forgiven me. Thank You for making us holy, helping us be righteous and giving us redemption. Amen

www.dailythoughts.com

"A king's heart is channeled water in the hand of the LORD; God directs it where he pleases." ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭21:1‬

Everyone seems to be talking and concerned by the upcoming election but we should remember that God always has control of the situation. How many times within God's word has a King done what God had wanted - many.

Knowing that God has control gives one comfort, we must do our part and be engaged but the outcome is His. In another month we will look back and either we won or we lost but God is still in control. Let the peace of Christ calm your spirit and do not fall victim to the political environment.

Dear Heavenly Father, only you know what is best for us. I pray for peace in this country. I pray for a renewed spirit in loving You. I pray for those caught up in the game, may they realize You are God and nothing happens without Your knowledge. I thank You Lord for living in the greatest country in the world. Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com

"even when we were dead in our transgressions, brought us to life with Christ (by grace you have been saved), raised us up with him, and seated us with him in the heavens in Christ Jesus,"‭‭ Ephesians‬ ‭2:5-6‬

You have been called by Christ for a special purpose, the life of Christ is within you and Christ is always at work within each of us. What is he asking if you? The gifts that you have are you using them on the things that matter to God?

If you are seated in the heavens there is nothing that you can not accomplish in fact there is nothing left to accomplish other than the will of God. Listen to what God is asking you and then venture out and accomplish His will. Follow your heart.

Dear Lord, I contemplate Your word in the morning may it speak to my heart and accomplish your will. I listen for Your voice may I follow thru with what you ask of me. Lord may we always remember to honor you with our lives, to always seek your will for us. Lord, bring peace into families that are suffering disunity. Thank You for the week that lays ahead. I ask these things in the name of Jesus, Amen.

"I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingly power: proclaim the word; be persistent whether it is convenient or inconvenient; convince, reprimand, encourage through all patience and teaching." 2 Timothy‬ ‭4:1-2‬ ‭NABRE‬‬

We are all called to proclaim the word of God and to not grow weary in doing so. Each day is a new day to begin again knowing that God is there to help us on our journey. We need to seek His help and ask for His guidance.

Remember your own journey and how you got to where you are at today. It took some time so be patient with those that God has put in your care. His word has all that you need to teach whether that be in words or in actions. Today is a new day be blessed in knowing God is overseeing the charge.

"May the eyes of [your] hearts be enlightened, that you may know what is the hope that belongs to his call, what are the riches of glory in his inheritance among the holy ones,"
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭1:18‬

We, those in Christ, are heirs to His inheritance.  Knowing that does give one hope in an eternal future.  You are a heir to the throne, how exciting is that.  It does come with its challenges as we are being prepared for our future.

This world is constantly struggling against His heirs in some way or another.  Our days are filled with challenges that can get in our way, remember your call and be ever vigilant.  Be prepared to testify to your faith whether that be in words or actions.  Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you today.

www.dailythoughts.com

"I shall show you whom to fear. Be afraid of the one who after killing has the power to cast into Gehenna; yes, I tell you, be afraid of that one." Luke‬ ‭12:5‬

God sees all things and knows all things. Our own actions will direct our path in eternity and God will be the One to bring us into Heaven or cast into Hell. Hell does exist despite what the world would have you believe. Sin can not enter into Heaven, there is only one place for sin, Gehenna.

Jesus has conquered our sin but we must walk in His ways. He knows the Father and He knows what He must do. Jesus is telling us to have a healthy fear of God, knowing that nothing is hidden from Him. God is always watching so continue your walk with Jesus and grow in your love for the Triune God, seek His help to conquer sin in your life.

Dear Heavenly Father, You love us so much that you sent Your own Son to take our place for punishment. Bring us into a closer relationship with Jesus. Help us to walk in His ways so You may be pleased with our actions. Talk to our hearts Lord and keep us under Your protection. I thank You Lord for another day to grow closer to You. www.dailythoughts.com

"grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ." ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭1:2‬

I am struck how Paul opened his letters to those he was writing too this morning. Paul was giving not his grace and peace but that of God and Jesus. We all need to hear the same grace and peace in our lives.

What an incredible gift to be able to give others, God's grace and peace. We are blessed to be able to read Paul's words today for we too need the same grace and peace. Keep each other in your prayers and have a blessed day.

Dear Lord God, please pass along Your grace and peace to all that receive this thought today. Grant them calmness in their lives Lord God. Give them hope Lord God, may we not lose sight of Your saving power. Remove the pain from those dealing with it constantly. Help us today Lord to live as Paul did, spreading Your word. "This is why you must now acknowledge, and fix in your heart, that the LORD is God in the heavens above and on earth below, and that there is no other."

There is a lot of turmoil in the world today, political parties fighting, people in need, even in our own lives we have our struggles.  I look to Jesus to see how He responded to basically the same situations.  His life is a true example for each of us.

In all His ways He acknowledged His Father in Heaven and on earth.  His heart was fixed on doing His Masters will, and He had no other god.  He knew that whatever He faced, Him and His Father could handle.  We are to follow His example for it says in the Bible, "My sheep hear my voice; I know them, and they follow me."
‭‭John‬ ‭10:27‬.  So pick up your cross acknowledge God and follow.

Dear Father God, You are so good to us Lord, I thank You for Your guidance and blessings in our lives.  Lord, I am thankful You are in charge of my day and of the world, nothing happens without your knowledge.  May we always trust in You Lord God and we may we always acknowledge You in our ways.  Teach us Lord God to turn to You in our need and thank You Lord God for leading the way.  Amen. 🙏

Daily Thoughts 10-11-2016 Luke 11:41

www.dailythoughts.com

"But as to what is within, give alms, and behold, everything will be clean for you."
‭‭Luke‬ ‭11:41‬ ‭

The living word of God speaks to us differently each time we read it. This is my second effort at reflecting this morning, God deleted the first one. When we read His word, His spirit talks to us. There are some who don't understand why Catholics go to confession. It is clearly written in God's word.

We can confess our sins to God but do we give alms? In my Catholic faith, when I go to confessions with a priest he normally gives me some type of penance. This in my way of thinking this morning is giving alms. God is cleansing the inside with the penance. Our faith in God and His word in action is what cleanses the inside of the cup.

Dear Lord God, You speak to each of us differently. May Your word penetrate our hearts to bring new life into our spirit. May we see your divine plan in action today. Allow us to see the need to slow down and reflect upon your living word each day. I thank You Lord for the time to reflect and for your insight. May there be calmness today in the world around each of us. In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 10-10-2016 Psalms 113:6-7

"looking down on heaven and earth? He raises the needy from the dust, lifts the poor from the ash heap,"
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭113:6-7‬

Do you ever think about what God sees when He looks down on us?   I think He sees a lot of lost people trying to find their way.  I think He sees those that don't realize their are lost, I think He sees those trusting others, not Him and I think He sees those that are trying to do right by Him.

If we stop and realize what God sees it changes how you see things.  Maybe it will help you understand how you are to interact in this world.  All God asks any of us is to find our way to Him and bring others to Jesus.  He is the potter we are the clay.

Dear Heavenly Father, Your Son Jesus is the only way to salvation.  He is what the world needs in this time of uncertainty.   Lead us Lord to You, show us the way we are to live our lives.  Help us see the needy and those that are calling for You.  Use us Lord today to be Your eyes, Your ears, Your hands, Your feet and Your voice, to be witnesses of Your love.  I ask all of this in Your most holy name, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 10-9-2016 Luke 17:15

"And one of them, realizing he had been healed, returned, glorifying God in a loud voice;"
‭‭Luke‬ ‭17:15

Ten called out and were cleansed yet only one of them returned glorifying God.  I have been one of the nine in my life.  When we need help we always turn to God and He always responds.  We get our prayers answered and do not return to give thanks.  Maybe we forget or we have more important things to do or we don't realize that God answered our request.

How do we glorify God in a loud voice?   Acknowledge it was God who healed you, be a witness to His love for you and always remember to give thanks for all your blessings.  Glorify Him with your life for greater is He that is in you than He that is in the world.

Dear Heavenly Father, I am sorry for my past transgressions when I did not glorify you.  I seek only to glorify You for all Your blessings in my life.  May I remember it was the Samaritan that returned and it was also a Good Samaritan that stopped to help a victim along the side of the road.  May our lives glorify you in actions that bring life into this world.  I sing praise to You today for healing Your servant.  In Jesus name, amen.

"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free person, there is not male and female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus."
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:28‬

Why do we create separation between God's people?  There is only one God and He is God of all.  If you think about it, we are all seeking the same thing, we are seeking eternity.

Christ came to unite us to the Father, the only division He creates is between us and sin.  We are all made in His image and we are all one in Christ Jesus.  Do as Jesus did and reach out to your brother, help him along on his journey for we are all the body of Christ.

Dear Lord God, we let differences in faith create divides show us ways we can be united in our faith in Christ Jesus.  May we only see what You see when we look upon another. May today be a day of grace and peace.  Help us put our differences behind us and unite us all to the body of Christ. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

God is good - All the time!

Daily Thoughts 10-7-2016 Galatians 3:14

"that the blessing of Abraham might be extended to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith."
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:14‬ ‭

Our Lady of the Rosary Memorial.

Well today is day 54 of the novena for our country.  Faith is the message today, we do not live by the law but we live by faith.  People want to see proof but that wouldn't be faith would it.  Abraham was told his descendants would be as numerous as the stars.  Now that sounds crazy but he had faith.

Today his descendants are as numerous as the stars.  He had faith, he believed what God told him even when it didn't seem possible.  Your life in Christ and the Church is built upon the same faith.  Does it stand to reason saying a rosary will help our country, not by sight but by faith it does.  Our Spiritual Mother Mary ask each of us to pray the rosary each day.  It strengthens your faith in Christ and always points to Jesus.  Have faith like Abraham, your rosary is making a difference.

Dear Lord God, you always have the words, I thank You for Your blessings.  May we remember to slow down and pay attention to what Your spirit is telling us.  Bring peace into this country Lord God.  May each of us walk by faith that our small gestures are making an impact in the world.  I entrust my future into your hands Lord, may I never forget the faith that Abraham had.  May my actions speak to that faith each day.  In Jesus name. Amen.

Mary, our Mother, pray for us.

54 day novena for our country day 54 - Glorious Mystery.

The Memorial of Our Lady of the Rosary commemorates our Mother's faithful intercession at the Battle of Lepanto in 1571. A fleet of allied Christian ships, united through Philip II of Spain and Pope Pius V, were victorious against the Ottoman Turks who were trying to solidify their hold on Cyprus. The victory spurred European morale and was attributed to Our Lady, as the Christian forces united in prayer to her before the battle. The Battle of Lepanto is one of many victories throughout history accredited to Our Lady's power and goodness.

Daily Thoughts 10-6-2016 Luke 11:13

www.dailythoughts.com

"If you then, who are wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the Father in heaven give the holy Spirit to those who ask him?""
‭‭Luke‬ ‭11:13‬ ‭

We all face tough situations and decisions in life.  I am learning to speak with my Father in heaven on them.  Life is meant to be lived and to be lived with joy.  Why should you carry all the burden, Jesus does say "Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for your selves."  Matthew‬ ‭11:29‬

I am struct by what He gives us, the Holy Spirit.  So when we speak with God, His response isn't always immediate or direct but if we listen to our hearts and trust in the Holy Spirit we will receive what is needed.  What good father doesn't do the same for their children.

Dear Heavenly Father, You always know our needs and what is right for each situation.  May we always turn to You and seek Your guidance in our daily life's.  May we unbridle ourselves from the burdens that weighs us down and become equally yoked with You.  Send us Your Holy Spirit to guide our steps today and every day.  I ask this prayer in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 10-5-2016 Galatians 2:14

"But when I saw that they were not on the right road in line with the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas in front of all, "If you, though a Jew, are living like a Gentile and not like a Jew, how can you compel the Gentiles to live like Jews?""
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭2:14‬

The way of the the world tells us to blend in and to not create waves yet the Gospel tells us the opposite.  How as Christians are we to bring in the kingdom if we are not professing it with our own life's?

The disciples lived the gospels each day and did not conform or bend to the world.   This verse is telling us we also must stand for what we believe in and live our lives of faith with conviction.  Thing about that today as you go about, are you on the right road, will your actions compel the Gentiles?

Dear Lord God, send us Your Holy Spirit and help us on our journey to walk the narrow road with truth and conviction in our hearts and our actions.  To not fall victim to the ways of the world in order to blend in but to stand for what is right and true.  You are the Living God, may Your light shine thru each of us today as we live the life You call each of us too.  I ask this through the name of Jesus, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 10-4-2016 Luke 10:41

"The Lord said to her in reply, "Martha, Martha, you are anxious and worried about many things."
‭‭Luke‬ ‭10:41‬

We worry about the silliest things in life and get ourselves all worked up over nothing.  How many times have you worried about something that never even came about or the outcome was totally different than what you expected.

Jesus is telling us the same thing today, your life is wonderfully made by the Master.   He has everything under control so just relax, praise and thank God for all your blessings and go about your day.  Stop worrying and being anxious, place yourself at the feet of Jesus and enjoy the life He gives you.

Dear Lord God, I thank You for your many blessings in my life but most important of them all is trusting in You.   I pray that I can keep my eyes focused on you in those moments that my mind wants to be anxious and know that together we will overcome.  I love You Lord Jesus and I am so Thankful for you loving me to the point of death on a cross, there is no crisis that I will ever face that will be greater than that.  May I praise you today with my offering of my life, direct my path, Lord Jesus, amen.

Daily Thoughts 10-3-2016 Luke 10:36-37

"Which of these three, in your opinion, was neighbor to the robbers' victim?" He answered, "The one who treated him with mercy." Jesus said to him, "Go and do likewise.""
‭‭
Is the word of God real to you?  Do you put it into practice in your own life?  We can think that these stories do not apply in this day and age but they apply in all times.  This week you will have the opportunity to be the Good Samaritan, what will you do.  Will you show mercy or just keep going?

It may be a total stranger or it may be someone who is close to you that you do not see eye to eye with.  We are all called to live out the gospels in our own daily lives.  Just remember one of these days it maybe you who is the one in need and everyone just passes by.  Do as Jesus tells us, "Go and do likewise.", make the gospels real In your own life.

Dear Heavenly Father, we are all called to live out our lives by sharing Your Love.  Give each of us what we need so we can be the Good Samaritan to others, especially to those that are the closest to us.  May we always remember to love as You did, even when it hurts or doesn't make sense.  May we bring peace into our world one person at a time.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Mother of the Church, pray for us.

Peace Prayer of St Francis

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:

where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.

O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen.

Daily Thoughts 10-2-2015 Colossians 2:11

"In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not administered by hand, by stripping off the carnal body, with the circumcision of Christ."
‭‭
My Son Jesus is true God and true man.  Through Him you have been released from all bondage that has bound you.  He has power and authority over all things, there is nothing that comes in His way.  You must give Him the authority in your life to overcome what ever obstacle is getting in the way.

If it is selfishness, give it to Him, if it is lust give it to him, what ever weakness it is give it to Him for He has bore all your sins and has conquered them by raising from the dead.  Your outward sign of your faith is living with Christ and He being your authority and walking in that authority.  This is the circumcision of Christ.

Dear Heavenly Father, I love You with all my being.  I give you authority in all areas of my life.  I am a servant to Your will and I will be obedient to Your direction.  Open my soul to Your love and give us access to Your covenant family and Your divine life.  I thank You Lord God for Your warm embrace and the guidance of Your Holy Spirit.  May today be a pleasing offering in Your sight.   I ask these things in the name of Your beloved Son, Jesus, Amen.

Mary, Queen of the Holy Rosary, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 10-1-2016 Job 42:12

"Thus the LORD blessed the later days of Job more than his earlier ones. Now he had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she-donkeys."
‭‭Job‬ ‭42:12‬

If God is for you, who can be against you?   Job always praised God even when things were bleak.  Was God testing Job, I don't think so, I believe He was using Job's life to prove His point.  I get to see lots of different people in my work some believe and some don't. Most fall pray to their own honor and glory thinking it was them that created the blessings.

God can give and God can take away,   all blessings come from heaven.  Life is much better walking with God than walking in ones own ignorance.  Give the Triune God the honor and the glory then you will be able to enjoy what ever comes your way whether it be little or it be abundance.  Life is meant to be a blessing, with God it is without God it is a life of sorrows.

Dear Lord God, it all begins with You, may we walk by faith and not by sight.  May we sing your praises giving You the honor and the glory.  Make your presence known Lord God to those in need, remove the scales from their eyes.  I am blessed Lord to be able to walk with You each day.  Help us sing Your praises with our lives and give us wisdom to overcome what ever obstacles comes our way.   Come Holy Spirit, fill our hearts with Joy, may we radiate Your love to those we encounter today, in Jesus name. Amen

Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us.
