"Along each bank of the river every kind of fruit tree will grow; their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit fail. Every month they will bear fresh fruit because the waters of the river flow out from the sanctuary. Their fruit is used for food, and their leaves for healing." Ezekiel 47:12
Day 27 of our Lenten journey: The living waters of Christ that flow from Him gives us peace, gives us strength, nourishes us for the day ahead. In today's first reading, Ezekiel 47:1-9,12, how many are beginning the day by turning to God to be nourished. Our Father is the source of all good and we, His faithful followers, must plug in to the source. The water that begins as a trickle is Jesus feeding us into an ocean of people that has an impact on this world. Plug in to the goodness, spend time alone with God and be made new again. Your fruit is used for food, and your leaves for healing, in a world parched for truth, but only thru Jesus.
Dear Father, You are changing the world, one person at a time. I prayer for unity in prayer today, may we see where there is need in our world and may we answer the call. May our actions speak of the truth of Jesus Christ, may we be nourished by giving You time in our lives and allowing You to flow from within. Thank You Father for another glorious day and a blessed way to begin it. I pray for all those walking into an abortion clinic today, may they see the joy of life, turn around and make the choice for life. Amen.
