"You do not know him, but I know him. And if I should say that I do not know him, I would be like you a liar. But I do know him and I keep his word." John 8:55
Day 38 of our Lenten journey: Jesus is speaking to the Jews who claim to know God and have bought the lies of the devil. How many times do we become entrapped by the father of lies and do his bidding for him, believing we are acting in truth? "So if a son frees you, then you will truly be free. I know that you are descendants of Abraham. But you are trying to kill me, because my word has no room among you." John 8:36-37. Our journey in life requires us to know His Word, live His Word and keep His Word. What lies are we accepting as truth compromising the Word of God?

O Divine Father, I am sorry for my misdeeds as I allow my sinful ways to get the better of me. Thank You for allowing me to contemplate my own actions and see how I have become deceived by the father of lies thinking that I know better. Thank You Jesus for coming and setting us free, may we rely upon Your strength, may we sit and listen to You speak truth into our days and may we continue in this journey so we may glorify You in all that we do. I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
