"Grace to you and peace from him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven spirits before his throne, and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead and ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, who has made us into a kingdom, priests for his God and Father, to him be glory and power forever [and ever]. Amen. Behold, he is coming amid the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him. All the peoples of the earth will lament him. Yes. Amen. "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "the one who is and who was and who is to come, the almighty." Revelation 1:4-8
Our Lenten journey - Holy Thursday: God is not dead, He is alive! Maybe seems like a strange way to begin the Pascal Triduum. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, who has made us into a kingdom, priests for his God and Father, to him be glory and power forever [and ever]. Amen. He is not dead if we are living in Him and He in us. He is dead if we are doing nothing with it. We are all living in the Kingdom of God, He died so we may live and live to glorify Him. He gave us a world to enjoy but also to use it to bring Him glory and not ourselves. If we are after our own pursuits and not His then think about why are you here? This vehicle I am in will pass away but not my spirit, John recognized that and only sought to glorify God. Live your life to glorify God and bring others with you.
Dear Father, it has been an interesting lent this year, a lot of introspection going on. I am thankful for walking with You and for You to show me my faults and my gifts. I am thankful that You are not dead in me and are very much alive. Help us see ourselves in the Pascal Triduum and help us grow deeper in love with You. May we each bring Your Kingdom into Your world in our own and unique ways. To God be the glory for ever and ever, Amen.
Mary, Mother of the Christ Child, pray for us. Thank You 🙏
