Luke 24:30-31
"And it happened that, while he was with them at table, he took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them. With that their eyes were opened and they recognized him, but he vanished from their sight."
As I think about our culture today, it must be entertained. It seeks the easy way and the new and improved. People want a feel good faith, something they can see.
Jesus practiced the Jewish traditions, He honored God daily at various hours. He also passed along ways for us to honor God. It is not about self, it is about God. Do you recognize Jesus in the breaking of the bread? Does your heart burn for Him? Our faith gives us traditions and ways to praise Him, it isn't about the sermon, it is in receiving Him.
Dear Lord God, I thank you for another day, I thank you for yesterday and I look forward to today. May I always see you present in my daily activities and may I be a pleasing offering in your sight. In Jesus name, amen.
