www.dailythoughts.com Psalms 79:11, 13

"Let the groaning of the imprisoned come in before you; in accord with the greatness of your arm preserve those doomed to die.

Then we, your people, the sheep of your pasture, will give thanks to you forever; from generation to generation we will recount your praise." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭79:11, 13

Eyes of faith, to be able to witness the almighty power of God at work in the lives of His people is powerful.  My heart is full of joy this morning and all I want to do is praise Him.  God is real, He is alive, He answers prayer and He does it in ways we don't expect.  He sees your eyes of faith!  Putting God at the center of everything is the answer.   Some of the challenges we face only God can resolve, the others we may be able to resolve but do it with God at the center.  Where there is peace and calm, there is God.  Praise God this morning for His blessings, those you have already received and those you see with eyes of faith.  God is Good - All the Time!!

Dear Father God, I love You more today than I did yesterday.  I thank You Lord for being a witness to Your glory.  Prayers today for those walking with eyes of faith, I lift them up to You and thank You for bringing about Your healing touch.  Bless this day with peace and calm, bless this day with playful thoughts, bless this day with Your love.  Triune God be my all, Triune God be my all, Triune God be my all!!

www.dailythoughts.com Matthew 13:35 7-30-2018

"to fulfill what had been said through the prophet: "I will open my mouth in parables, I will announce what has lain hidden from the foundation [of the world]."" ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:35‬

When you first hear one of the parables, it doesn't make sense, you struggle to understand it. God gave each of us a brain, the parable is meant to challenge us to think, to seek out the meaning, to find the hidden treasure. "When you look for me, you will find me. Yes, when you seek me with all your heart," Jeremiah‬ ‭29:13‬. Spending time contemplating is spending time with God. "The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you." Philippians‬ ‭4:9‬. Where there is peace, there is God.

Dear Lord God, it is just You and I in the stillness of the morning. My heart yearns for you and a deeper meaning in Your word. I may not always get it right but you are always there. Challenge our thinking Lord so we may find peace in all that we do. Nourish us spiritual so we may remain in peace and not become distracted by the ways of the world. Bless this day with understanding and peace. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com John 6:9 7-29-2018

""There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish; but what good are these for so many?"" ‭‭John‬ ‭6:9‬

My thoughts turn to the boy this morning, he had been prepared for just this event.  Was this food for his family, was he sent to bring that home and he got caught up in the moment?   Was his family with him?   What did he think when asked to give up his food that he was planning on eating or bringing home?  The innocence of a child, listening to his elders and giving the little that he has, not knowing the outcome.  What things has God prepared you for?  What items can God use to multiply and bless the multitude?   Are we as trusting as this boy, not fearing the outcome and being obedient to the Masters call.   God always provides for all our needs, especially when we listen and obey.  Do you want proof of what I am saying?  I can give it, just look back with 20/20 vision.  Has God not given you everything you needed?   Now, will you let go of what you have so God can bless others with it.  What about your time? Your talent? Your tithe?  "Amen, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven." ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭18:3-4‬

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You and honor You this day, I thank You for being called upon to answer Your call this morning.   I thank You for preparing me this day to do Your will.  I thank You for healing the hurt and overcoming what ever challenge that I will face.  I may not have much but what I have I freely give it to You.  I trust in Your divine will and Your divine nature.   Bless this day with You, and multiply what I give.  In the name of Jesus, Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com Jeremiah 7:5-7 7-28-2018

"Only if you thoroughly reform your ways and your deeds; if each of you deals justly with your neighbor; if you no longer oppress the alien, the orphan, and the widow; if you no longer shed innocent blood in this place or follow after other gods to your own harm, only then will I let you continue to dwell in this place, in the land I gave your ancestors long ago and forever." ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭7:5-7‬

This is the prophetic message of Jeremiah as the people went into the temple of the Lord.  "Do you not know that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?" ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭3:16‬.  What we hear and listen too makes a difference in our lives.  It helps form our opinion on how we perceive what is going on around us.  How much time do you spend in God's word?  Fox News? CNN? EWTN?  "He proposed another parable to them. "The kingdom of heaven may be likened to a man who sowed good seed in his field. While everyone was asleep his enemy came and sowed weeds all through the wheat, and then went off. When the crop grew and bore fruit, the weeds appeared as well." ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:24-26‬.  You are the temple of God, you are His fields where the wheat and the weeds grow.   Listen to God and allow His message to choke out the weeds in your life.  Listen to what comes out of your mouth, is it what Jeremiah tells us to do?

Dear Heavenly Father, You created us in Your image, to seek and serve You.  Help us see the things that distract us from accomplishing Your will.  Help us love our neighbor, help us reform our ways, help us turn to You in our needs, help us see happiness is only found in You, help us become the saints we are called to be.  Thank You for Your love and Your discipline.  Open Your word to those that are seeking.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com Matthew 13:22 7-27-2018

"The seed sown among thorns is the one who hears the word, but then worldly anxiety and the lure of riches choke the word and it bears no fruit." ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:22‬

"As for the seed that fell among thorns, they are the ones who have heard, but as they go along, they are choked by the anxieties and riches and pleasures of life, and they fail to produce mature fruit." Luke‬ ‭8:14‬

Do you hear the word of God?  What about applying it to your daily life?  Or living it all day every day?  What distractions do you currently have that is choking out the word of God?  What distracted Jesus?  Absolutely nothing!  And remember He was pure man no different than you or I.   "The devil said to him, "I shall give to you all this power and their glory; for it has been handed over to me, and I may give it to whomever I wish.  "All this will be yours, if you worship me.""  Jesus said to him in reply, "It is written: 'You shall worship the Lord, your God, and him alone shall you serve.'"" Luke‬ ‭4:6-8‬.  A little self examination is a good thing in our lives.  I know in my own walk, there are thorns.  Jesus has singular purpose, what about I, do I have singular purpose in life that will produce fruit for the harvest?

Dear Lord, in my walk, I ask that the thorns be removed, I ask that the things that are choking out Your Word in my life be removed.  I ask that I recognize the trickery of the devil as You did and have singular purpose in all that I do.  You are the Gardener, I am the garden, prune me.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com Matthew 13:15 7-26-2018

"Gross is the heart of this people, they will hardly hear with their ears, they have closed their eyes, lest they see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and be converted, and I heal them.'" ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:15‬

Are you open to the possibilities of God or are you going to stay where you are at?  The people in the time of Jesus ""They did not say, 'Where is the LORD Who brought us up out of the land of Egypt'" Jeremiah‬ ‭2:6‬a  And yet, He was standing in front of them.   In order for us to do the will of God, our hearts have to be open.  Being open makes us vulnerable and uncomfortable but this is where God operates, He can't move a closed heart if it doesn't want to.   In today's bible verse, Jesus wants to lead and teach His people but first they must be open.  Are you open even if it scares you?  What change is God trying to bring about but you are holding it back?   Are you asking "where is the Lord?"   Answer - Right in front of you, ready to pour out His grace, just waiting on a heart to be vulnerable.

Dear Lord God, I pray for open hearts and open ears this morning.  May they see the possibilities of You in their own lives given them the grace and ability.  You are the Great Healer, we are Your disciples, may we be open to the promptings of Your Holy Spirit and please move mountains.  Paint a visual in our thoughts today of a world open to Your grace.   I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

"always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our body." ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:10‬

Are you carrying about the dying of Jesus in you?  How would you like to have the power of the universe at your fingertips and knowingly not use it, Jesus had to die to self.   How about the dying of Jesus as He walks along carrying the cross and being crucified.  Do you accept the sufferings as He did, completely undeserved but willing to offer it up for others.   Each day we have to make choices to die to self so the glory of God can shine bright.  You are the light of Christ, your sacrifices brings about the life of Christ.  Count your blessings, be at peace for Christ lives within.   God is real!

Dear Heavenly Father, Hallelujah, You Live within.  I thank You for this day and the ability to get up and be in Your presence.  It is a choice that I freely make each day.  You have blessed each of us with incredible gifts, may we die to self so You May be glorified in our bodies.  May we strive for sanctity in our daily lives knowing in our weaknesses, You will forgive us if we promise to die to self.  I love You Father, bless this day, May I glorify You in some way.  In the name of Jesus, Amen.

You are loved!  God Loves YOU, He has from the beginning of time.  Even in our wanderings He restores our life to bring us back to Him.  You are loved!  God Loves You!  This is His message to each of us, He accepted all of our sins and died on a cross for you, just you.  You are loved.  God stands with open arms waiting to receive us into His tender care.  Be blessed today knowing you are loved that much.  Trust God!  He loves you, He seeks you out, He provides for you, He takes care of you, He listens to You and He answers You.  Trust God for He Loves You.

"You have been told, O mortal, what is good, and what the LORD requires of you: Only to do justice and to love goodness, and to walk humbly with your God." Micah‬ ‭6:8‬

To walk humbly with God is to give Him the lead, to listen and seek His advice in all that you do.   How much simpler life would be if everyone lived by this one verse.  God doesn't require much from us and He gives us free will to choose our own path.  Will you listen to Him, will you live in peace with your decisions, will you humble yourself before our God?  Simple choices that offers great rewards.

Thank You Father for all that You do for us, Thank You for this day and what it will present to us.  May I walk with You and not in front of You, You are the Great Teacher and I want to learn.   May I heed Your voice and live in peace this today, yesterday is gone and tomorrow will take care of itself.  Today is what we got and You are my God who leads me.  Amen.

"He came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near, for through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father." ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2:17-18‬

Jesus came with a singular purpose, in my opinion, and that was to reconcile each of us with our Father in Heaven.   He preached repentance of our sins so we can gain access to Him.  Repentance is the beginning of peace especially when we are in the wrong.  Peace continues when we make right decisions and make every effort to continue to be in peace.  In your own life, do you converse with God about the decisions you need to make.  Peace follows all right decisions, that doesn't mean there won't be conflict but you will be at peace in your spirit if you are following the guidance of Christ.  "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give it to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid." ‭‭John‬ ‭14:27‬  May peace follow you in all your decisions and your life.

Dear Lord God, may I converse with You more in the decisions that we make.  May I see the pitfalls of wrong decisions and may I recognize the conflict  when we are not in union together.  Bless others with right decisions who are contemplating in their lives.  Help us preach Your message of peace in our lives each day.  Be my everything Lord and May I always remain close to You through out the day.   I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com Matthew 12:18-21

""Behold, my servant whom I have chosen, my beloved in whom I delight; I shall place my spirit upon him, and he will proclaim justice to the Gentiles. He will not contend or cry out, nor will anyone hear his voice in the streets. A bruised reed he will not break, a smoldering wick he will not quench, until he brings justice to victory. And in his name the Gentiles will hope."" ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭12:18-21‬

The word justice jumps off the page this morning.  As you read God's word, how did Jesus proclaim justice to the Gentiles?   He was being unjustly persecuted yet He did not fight back emotionally or cry out with anything other than love.  Maybe you are being unjustly treated and the human side of you wants to respond with like, Jesus was human as well yet He did not respond with like.  Remove the emotion from the situation and respond with love.  God see's all and He is the just Judge.  In the end it is love that conquers all even injustice.  Our hope is placed upon the Lord, it is He that we are to seek guidance from and imitate.  "Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven. Thus they persecuted the prophets who were before you." ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:12‬.  Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray for the strength to respond as you did in those times I experience injustice.  Use me as one of Your instruments to give love where there is no love.  May I bring hope to those who feel hopeless, to those who are tired, may they find rest in Your yoke.  Prayers for several friends who are feeling the injustice of cancer in their own lives and their family.  Walk with them so they will experience Your victory over death.   I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com Matthew 12:7 7-20-2018

"If you knew what this meant, 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice,' you would not have condemned these innocent men." Matthew‬ ‭12:7‬

How many of us have said, "Lord, have mercy on me a sinner."   And God does have mercy on us for He has walked the walk that we each walked.  Jesus was condemned, ignored, rejected and He still went to the cross for those same people, now that is sacrifice.  In our own lives do we have mercy upon others that have wronged us or did the same things that was done to Jesus?  We can harbor ill feelings upon others that doesn't bring about the Kingdom of God, rather it condemns the Kingdom for we are all children of God.   So the next time you are in the presence of Christ, ask Him what is the meaning of, "I desire mercy, not sacrifice.", and listen to what He is telling you, it will be a whisper but will speak volumes.

Dear Father God, I could jump for joy this morning being with You, I thank You for always being there even when it didn't seem like it.  Give us the meaning of mercy, make it real in our own lives.  May the Holy Spirit reveal to us the mysteries of the Kingdom so we may be the bearer of Your fruit.   Bless this day Lord and change hearts so they maybe able to see the Risen Christ.   I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com Matthew 11:28 7-19-2018

""Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest." ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11:28‬

What does it mean to come to me?  I believe it is to release your will for His will, to allow Christ to be your teacher and author of your life.  Have you ever tried to accomplish something on your own and are not gaining what you want.  Is God part of that plan or is it your own.  When we are not obedient to the will of God we will not achieve the peace that we want, we will be burdened with the achievement or lack of.  Be obedient to God, go to Him on your knees and seek Him.  It is He who gives us peace and rest.   "LORD, you will decree peace for us, for you have accomplished all we have done." ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭26:12‬.  Be in union with Christ, be at peace.

Dear Heavenly Father, I love the peace this morning Lord God.  It is You that knows what is on my heart and You are listening and I am hearing.  Bless this day Lord, give us the strength to accomplish the things that You are asking.   Be ever on my mind, be ever in my heart and may Peace be in all my actions.  May Peace follow all who read this thought today, may they hear Your voice and may they follow Your guidance.  In the name above every other name, Jesus Christ, Amen.

"My hand has seized, like a nest, the wealth of nations. As one takes eggs left alone, so I took in all the earth; No one fluttered a wing, or opened a mouth, or chirped!"" ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭10:14‬

I watch as a world is being taken over by their own desires not recognizing where their wealth lays.   The look to their own hands to see what they have gained not realizing it is God who gives and it is also God who allows it to be taken away.  The world is rapidly changing from the little I get to see, we are all called to humble ourselves and give glory, power and honor to God.  Chirp, open your mouth, do not allow the evil to slowly overcome your world.

Dear Heavenly Father, I am at a loss of words this morning, numbed by what I see, not really knowing what I can do to help.  I place myself at Your service and trust in the insight that You give me.   I thank You for another day to witness to Your saving power.   Prayers for babies to sleep and be at peace during their journey, prayers for parents to be patient and prayers for families that are traveling.  Bless this day Lord, I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com Isaiah 1:17 7-16-2018

"learn to do good. Make justice your aim: redress the wronged, hear the orphan's plea, defend the widow." ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭1:17‬

I am contemplating a situation this morning on something that I indirectly created.   I am thankful for an Aunt who helped redress the wronged.  Sometimes we cause pain in others lives and may not even realize it.  God asks each of us to get involved in a way that pleases Him.   Use the gifts and talents that God has given you to make things right, to make right what is wrong.  My situation was brought out in the open in a kind a humorous way that corrected my error before it became a potential thorn for another time.  My Aunt was doing good, she was living the life that Christ called her too. "Why do you recite my commandments and profess my covenant with your mouth?" ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭50:16‬bc.  Live your faith in actions and not by words only.

Dear Lord God, I thank You for the living examples you place in our lives that live out their faith in ways most don't even see.  Help each of us today to redress the wrong, to defend the widow, to go out of our way to live the sacrifice that You walked this planet for.  May we see what You see, may we hear what You hear, may we live out our faith twenty four hours a day and become the Saints that You call each of us too.  Bless this day Lord, bless this country Lord and bless Your people.   I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

"were sealed with the promised holy Spirit, which is the first installment of our inheritance toward redemption as God's possession, to the praise of his glory." Ephesians‬ ‭1:13c-14

Do you think about the gifts that God gives you?  He promises us His holy Spirit as the first, of His gifts that He gives His family.   Inheritance is given to family, those that are close and important to you, that will carry on the family traditions.  What God gives us is what is needed to lead Holy lives, to proclaim His word and leads us towards God so He can redeem each of us.   Our part is to live the gifts and strive to be His Holy family.  Enjoy your day and prepare yourself to receive what He so freely gives.

Dear Father God, may we receive what You so freely give, may we be open to what You want us to hear.   Help us understand family is where life begins and Love never ends.   Heal those that struggle with family Lord, help us see what is truly important in our own daily lives of faith.  I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

"Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? Who will go for us?" "Here I am," I said; "send me!"" ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭6:8‬

Do we give God authority to operate in our lives?   If you think about the mission of Christ, it was to find those that would follow Him, who would accept the call and be lead by Him.  The band of 12 were normal man with average ability but what made them different was their willingness to give Christ authority in their lives.  God still asks the same question, "Whom shall I send?"   By being willing to give Him authority in your lives the outcome is His and not yours.  Here I am, send me!  Where you go, I will go.

Dear Heavenly Father, I give You authority in my life once again.  May I be a pleasing authority in Your sight, purify my mind and heart as I seek to make the teachings of Jesus a priority in my life.  You taught the Disciples who willing gave of themselves to You, I follow their lead even in my moments of weakness.  You are greater than anything we will face.   Bless this day Lord and be my everything this day.  Lead the way.  Amen.

Jesus said to his Apostles:
"Behold, I am sending you like sheep in the midst of wolves;
so be shrewd as serpents and simple as doves. Matthew 10:16

You are called to be an apostle of Christ, to go into the world and give testimony to Him who saves.  The challenge is to not be trapped by the ways of the world, to be attractive within the daily tasks of life.  As you think of a dove, just it's sight draws people to it.  It says nothing but speaks peace, as you think about this, how can you use the gifts and talents that God has given you to draw others to the peace of Christ
"I will be like the dew for Israel: he will blossom like the lily; He will strike root like the Lebanon cedar, and his shoots will go forth. His splendor will be like the olive tree and his fragrance like Lebanon cedar."
‭‭Hosea‬ ‭14:6-7‬.  You are the shoots that go forth, be like the dew that refreshes the weary soul.

Dear Lord God, Thank You for the time to sit still in a busy morning, You always find a way.   Help me use the gifts and talents to be like the dove, to see what is needed and respond with love and peace.  Help us live simply and easily amongst the wolves, being a beacon for you.   Bless this day Lord God, bless those around us and guide us in what each of us are called to do and be.  In Jesus name, Amen.

God has no hands but yours, you are the human cords that He speaks of.  Each day we make choices on how we are to respond to others, is it love that guides us or is it selfish desires that guide us.  Our actions impact others, are we helping God in His plan of salvation with our response?   Enjoy the beauty that surrounds you this morning, be blessed in knowing that God is tirelessly drawing you to Him.  Be blessed today.

What is fallow ground?  It is ground that has been laying dormant for awhile, most likely covered with weeds and thistles.  There is refreshment in starting a new spiritual practice that will increase within you the Spirit of God.  As I mentioned several days ago of climbing a mountain, it was a sort of pilgrimage.  As I walk about today, me legs are speaking to me reminding me of the journey that I have begun.  A reminder to seek the Lord and spend time in discernment.  In our own lives, God is seeking the fallow ground that has been prepared for Him, what things can you change or begin that will bear the fruit that He is seeking to produce in you?  Listen to your heart.

Dear Father God, as I hold new life in my hands, I thank You for these blessings and the opportunities to sit still.  You have prepared the ground for new growth, You have given us the awareness to make a change in our spiritual practices.  Increase your gift of piety in our lives so we may increase Your yield in this world.  Special prayers for a family enduring some hardships, may the Spirit of Peace dwell within their walls.   I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Immaculate Mary, pray for us.

www.dailythoughts.com Hosea 8:13b

"Now he will remember their guilt and punish their sins; they shall return to Egypt." ‭‭Hosea‬ ‭8:13‬b

"Therefore, you shall love the LORD, your God, with your whole heart, and with your whole being, and with your whole strength."
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭6:5‬.  What happens when we turn our back on God?  They shall return to Egypt, God doesn't send them there but in their own ways they find themselves back in the land of slavery.   In being punished for our sins we will remember the joy of walking with God and we in turn will turn back to Him.  The choices we make each day do have consequences not only for ourselves but also for our culture.  God does not change, He is constant.  "For I, the LORD, do not change, and you, sons of Jacob, do not cease to be." Malachi‬ ‭3:6‬.

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for the beautiful sunshine today, as much as it blesses us, it reminds me of a culture who has turned their back on You.  Send rain into a land known for green fields and green lands.  Help them see that their choices of not following Your word does have consequences and You are always there ready to bless.  Prayers for those in my thoughts this morning Lord, strengthen their resolve Lord God and give them hope.  I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com 2 Timothy 1:10 7-9-2018

"but now has been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel," ‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭1:10‬

Do you see yourself in the writings of the Gospels?  I journeyed yesterday to the top of a mountain, it wasn't until I leaned on Christ was I able to have the strength to get there.  My legs got sore, my breathing was short and at a point I could of stopped.  What carried me to the top was the stations of the cross as I walked up.  Listening to the word of God and reflecting upon our own lives, help us realize we are all on a similar journey as Jesus was.  If we have lived as Christ has, we will see the blessed fruit of our Blessed Mothers Womb, her Son Jesus in this exile we are all living.  See Christ in your every day lives, read His word and be born to new life in the word of God.  It will give you strength that surpasses all understanding.

Dear Lord God, I am thankful that You have brought us home to build new memories and rekindle relationships and begin new ones.  My heart can not express the gratitude I have for You.  Help us Lord God sees ourselves in the readings of the Gospels.  Help us see You in action every day of our lives, we are given a short time to be here, during that time may we find You, Love You and most importantly share You.  Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com 2 Corinthians 12:9 7-8-2018

"but he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness." I will rather boast most gladly of my weaknesses, in order that the power of Christ may dwell with me." 2 Corinthians‬ ‭12:9‬

Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  1 John 4:4b.  In our own weaknesses we realize that we need God to be greater in our lives.  In life you may be able to make your way through things but there comes a point You realize you need a higher power, God.  God gives us free will to choose knowing that His power will be made perfect in our weaknesses.  Stop trying to lean on your own strength, listen to God, sit still and me made perfect.  This inner peace only He can give comes from Him who dwells within.

Dear Father God, as we walk together today, I have a sense I will be leaning on You and St Patrick.  Be in my foot steps, in my thoughts and give me strength when I am weak.  Thank You Lord Jesus for a great celebration, in the end we are all part of Your family and we are called to reach out to each other.  Thank You Lord Jesus for Deacon Hondo Patrick being blessed with Your Holy Spirit.  Bless this day Lord, bless this child and be our strength in all situations.  You are my King, Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com Psalms 85:12 7-7-2018

"Truth will spring from the earth; justice will look down from heaven." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭85:12‬

Isn't this what we are called to do, speak the truth.  We look to others to speak but it us that God calls us to speak.  There are many distractions in this world but that isn't justice  that is vice seeking to entrap us.  Watch and listen, seize the opportunity to allow justice to make its way into hearts that are seeking truth.  You are the reminant that God speaks of.  "I will restore my people Israel, they shall rebuild and inhabit their ruined cities, Plant vineyards and drink the wine, set out gardens and eat the fruits."  ‭‭Amos‬ ‭9:14‬.  The wine is Jesus, He saves the choices wines for last.

Dear Heavenly Father, I am blessed to be home amongst family, I thank You for these opportunities to share time and memories with those that I love.  I pray for a good day Lord, I pray for truth to stand firm and to be a pleasing offering in your site.  Lord let us not be distracted by those around us, there is but one mission that we are each to called to, produce the grapes for harvest.   In Jesus name, Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com Psalms 119:2 7-6-2018

"Blessed those who keep his testimonies, who seek him with all their heart." Psalms‬ ‭119:2‬

God breaths life into us and He also gave us the desire to seek happiness.  This happiness is fulfilled by keeping His testimonies.  The things that we sometimes think bring us happiness we awake the next morning with regret, this isn't God nor keeping His testimonies, your soul knows the difference.  Read His word, worship at His feet and live rightly.  Give Him thanks for what you have, keep His testimonies and give Him your heart and be blessed.

Dear Heavenly Father, I am blessed to have that desire to know You and sit still each morning contemplating Your word.   We all are seeking, may we realize what we are seeking is You, this is the purpose of life.  May I live this day with You at the center, may I give You time and may all my actions be rightly.  Thank You for the good memories being made and being remembered.  Prayers for those seeking and yet to find You.  Bless this day Lord and keep us safe.  Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com 2 Corinthians 5:19 7-5-2018

"namely, God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting their trespasses against them and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation." 2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:19‬

In God's Covenant with us, He always reaches out to us, He sent His Son, completely innocent of anything so He could bear the penalty of our transgressions.  In your own relations, do you follow God's example and be the first to make the move, to not condemn the other but look past their transgressions and make amens?  He is asking us to resolve our issues with each other, to put them behind us and move forward.   Most of our issues reviews olve around communications and the lack of.  Only in Christ can we do this, He will help you and guide you.   You have been entrusted with the message of reconciliation, make the first move and offer an olive branch.

Dear Lord God, You are always out in front, I love you for that.  May we put our differences behind us and build our relationships upon the word of God.  Lead us as Your people to bring peace back to places where there is no peace.  Change our hearts to be a pleasing offering in Your sight.   I thank You Jesus for this day, I look forward to it and what it has to offer.   In Jesus name, Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com Amos 5:14-15 7-4-2018

"Seek good and not evil, that you may live; Then truly the LORD, the God of hosts, will be with you as you claim. Hate evil and love good, and let justice prevail at the gate; Then it may be that the LORD, the God of hosts, will have pity on the remnant of Joseph." Amos‬ ‭5:14-15‬

What is freedom?  Today we celebrate as a country our independence from England.  I ask you are we free?  As a country we achieved what we wanted yet in the process we have enslaved its own people.  What about our own lives, we seek freedom from this and that only to enslave ourselves.  True freedom is found in Christ Jesus.  "that creation itself would be set free from slavery to corruption and share in the glorious freedom of the children of God." Romans‬ ‭8:21‬. "Therefore, you shall love the LORD, your God, with your whole heart, and with your whole being, and with your whole strength. Take to heart these words which I command you today." ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭6:5-6‬.  It begins in the heart, Then it may be that the LORD, the God of hosts, will have pity on the remnant of Joseph.  So what is freedom, I believe this is freedom for it is what Christ lives and died for: "None of us lives for oneself, and no one dies for oneself. For if we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord; so then, whether we live or die, we are the Lord's." Romans‬ ‭14:7-8‬.  Let freedom ring over this land, which was founded upon Godly principals.

Dear Father God, You have blessed us to live in a land with tremendous opportunities, may we live for you in all of them.  May we cherish the life that You give us, May we praise You for all that we have and what we do not have.  May we see the things that enslave us and keep us from You.  You are God, I am under Your authority and I enslave myself for Your Holy purpose.  May I be an obedient servant for the one who died so I may live.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Our Lady of Good Help, pray for us.

Happy Independence Day, enslave Yourself to Christ and truly be free, Joesph did!

www.dailythoughts.com Ephesians 2:19-20 7-2-2018

"So then you are no longer strangers and sojourners, but you are fellow citizens with the holy ones and members of the household of God, built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the capstone." ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2:19-20‬

Do we contemplate the viewpoint of the author when we meditate upon scripture?  I can see Saint Paul trying to unite two groups of people, telling them to look to scripture and the apostles to see how they responded to God.  How many of us can learn from this today, we want to be right and the other wrong.  Was this how Jesus went about proving others wrong and He right?  Paul like Jesus is trying to get us to think, put on the mind of Jesus and think.  God spent history revealing His plan, He taught His prophets and apostles thru contemplation.  He spoke in parables through Jesus, He gave each of us the ability to think.  Don't let someone's misguided perceptions mislead you, look to the prophets.

Dear Heavenly Father, You are always speaking to us and helping us understand Your salvation plan.  May I look to scripture for the answers to the things that challenge me.  May I contemplate Your word and at times reflect upon the authors viewpoint.  My heart is joyful when I think of Your guidance, the hope that You place there and the desire to know You more.  Bless this day God, may I be attentive to my response and may I be as Jesus is, loving, compassionate and thought provoking.  I ask this through Jesus Christ, my Lord and Redeemer, Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com Matthew 9:59-60 7-2-2018

"And to another he said, "Follow me." But he replied, "[Lord,] let me go first and bury my father." But he answered him, "Let the dead bury their dead. But you, go and proclaim the kingdom of God."" Luke‬ ‭9:59-60‬

Seems pretty harsh of Jesus to say that but If you think about what God sees, He sees all.   The verse just before this Jesus seems to be overwhelmed by the task for wherever He goes there is need.  "Jesus answered him, "Foxes have dens and birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to rest his head."" ‭‭Luke‬ ‭9:58‬.  Can we not say the same thing about this day and age.   How many are spiritual died caught up in the world not really giving any thought to their souls.  Your soul is important, Christ is asking those who follow Him to speak up, to point the way to salvation.  Our time to figure it out is short and eternity is forever.

Dear Heavenly Father, I am spiritual alive seeking to know more, place the arrows in my quiver and allow me to draw back the bow when the time is right.  Awaken those of us who are spiritually dead and give new life in a world in need of freedom.  May You always be in my mind and in my thoughts, may You be on the tip of my tongue and may I not be over powering.  I ask this in the name of Salvation, Jesus Christ, Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com Mark 5:28-29,33-34. 7-1-2018

"She said, "If I but touch his clothes, I shall be cured." Immediately her flow of blood dried up. She felt in her body that she was healed of her affliction.

The woman, realizing what had happened to her, approached in fear and trembling. She fell down before Jesus and told him the whole truth. He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has saved you. Go in peace and be cured of your affliction."" Mark‬ ‭5:28-29, 33-34‬

Do we move in faith toward the Lord when in need of healing?  She heard the stories and knew Jesus was the cure.  Yet after being healed she approached Jesus in fear and trembling for I believe at that time she completely knew who Jesus was, the Son of God.  Do we approach Jesus with the same homage?  "For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him." ‭‭John‬ ‭6:55-56‬.  I received the Body, blood, soul and Divinity of Christ this morning.  He is coursing through my body, I approached Jesus knowing He is the Son of God who can heal all my wounds.  God is Good, does your faith allow you to see that?  If not move towards Him, let Him heal you.

Dear Jesus, You loved us to the point of death on a cross so we may live forever, bring Your healing touch to all who are seeking.  Over come any doubt we may have and be real to each of us.  Your flesh is true food and Your blood is true drink, cleanse us from the inside out so we may be You in this world that is in need of healing.  Prayers for a friend that needs strength to overcome.  Thank You God for coming to us in the Eucharist.  In Jesus name, Amen.
