"Only if you thoroughly reform your ways and your deeds; if each of you deals justly with your neighbor; if you no longer oppress the alien, the orphan, and the widow; if you no longer shed innocent blood in this place or follow after other gods to your own harm, only then will I let you continue to dwell in this place, in the land I gave your ancestors long ago and forever." Jeremiah 7:5-7
This is the prophetic message of Jeremiah as the people went into the temple of the Lord. "Do you not know that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?" 1 Corinthians 3:16. What we hear and listen too makes a difference in our lives. It helps form our opinion on how we perceive what is going on around us. How much time do you spend in God's word? Fox News? CNN? EWTN? "He proposed another parable to them. "The kingdom of heaven may be likened to a man who sowed good seed in his field. While everyone was asleep his enemy came and sowed weeds all through the wheat, and then went off. When the crop grew and bore fruit, the weeds appeared as well." Matthew 13:24-26. You are the temple of God, you are His fields where the wheat and the weeds grow. Dear Heavenly Father, You created us in Your image, to seek and serve You. Help us see the things that distract us from accomplishing Your will. Help us love our neighbor, help us reform our ways, help us turn to You in our needs, help us see happiness is only found in You, help us become the saints we are called to be. Thank You for Your love and Your discipline. Open Your word to those that are seeking. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
Mary, Queen Mother, pray for us.
