Psalms 116 - Freed, no longer a slave.

"Return, my soul, to your rest; the LORD has been very good to you. For my soul has been freed from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling. I shall walk before the LORD in the land of the living."  Psalms‬ ‭116:7-9‬

Psalms 116 - Freed, no longer a slave.  Our souls yearn to be reunited with God, it's creator.  That yearning that you are experiencing, that seeking that you are trying to find will not be found with the things of this world.  Just listen to what the world preaches, it is enslavement, captivity which leads to destruction.  Jesus was freed from this world while He walked in it, He chose to seek His Father in Heaven.  He knew the sins of Adam and Eve, the desire for more, led them away from The Garden.  There is a simplicity in trusting in God, in seeking His will for your life.  You will be free, walking in the land of the living, whether that is here on earth or in Heaven, the place our souls yearn to be and will only be satisfied when it rests with Thee.

What is God saying to me?  There is simplicity in nature when you sit back and watch.  Their needs are met, they are at peace and are doing My will, listen to the stillness of my voice in Your heart.

Dear Father, You greet me this morning with a warmth that only You can give, there is a peace in the constant motions of my surroundings.   Thank You for the beginnings of this day, being surrounded by Your loved ones enjoying each other's  company.  Thank You for the blessings of this day, for the constant reminders that You are God and we are called to love You, with all our heart, all our soul and all our minds.  Continue on this journey Father, You have my attention and I will heed Your call,  In Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 115 - The Living God

"Why should the nations say, "Where is their God?" Our God is in heaven and does whatever he wills. Their idols are silver and gold, the work of human hands."  Psalms‬ ‭115:2-4‬

Psalms 115 - The Living God.  I wonder what inspired the Psalmist in 115, what was he witnessing in his world.  I sit and ponder the works of God, they live, they breath, they produce, they give life.  The works of man's hands are inanimate objects, they can become our idols, why would we place our trust in them.  God gives breath to our life and our environment.  In the stillness of the day ponder those things that does not glorify God.  "The heavens belong to the LORD, but he has given the earth to the children of Adam."  Psalms‬ ‭115:16‬.  Do they help you get to Heaven or do they lay a trap that will banish you from Heaven.

What is God saying to me: Enjoy the day, everything you see that lives and breathes, I have given life too, the works of man's hands do not move without my assistance.

Dear Father, I enjoy Your embrace this morning, watching and learning of the world around me.  I thank You for the constant reminder of how great You are and without You we are lost.   Thank You Father for the innocence of a child as he learns and grows, may we witness to others with this same innocence and zeal for learning.  Prayers for those who are locked in and feeling down trodden may they see and feel the beauty of Your Spirit.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 114 - The Power of God

"Tremble, earth, before the Lord, before the God of Jacob,"  Psalms‬ ‭114:7‬

Psalms 114 - The Power of God.  Do we get to make God in our own image?  If we are trying too that is not a healthy image.  God does things in His own ways, He speaks throughout history how He led the slaves out of captivity.  Today the power the world yields over each of us is being changed, you can try and hold on but God will do it His way.  You may not like it and try and wrestle with God that your way is better, God will teach us to trust in Him.  He will provide for all our needs, do not be like the Israelites that wandered in the desert lost.  "The beginning of wisdom is fear of the LORD, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding."  ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭9:10‬   He reveals Himself in scripture, it helps if you read it deliberately.

What is God saying to me:

Dear Father, You are making all things new again, breaking the bonds of sin in our lives.  Thank You Lord God for doing it Your way, we need a healthy image of who You are and what You are capable of.  The world speaks against Your truths and distorts our image of You.  I am thankful Father that I am being educated at Your feet, having wisdom revealed in Your word.  You are doing mighty things before our eyes that will make the earth tremble and give light to Your way.  Prayers for those who are hungry and cold, You will provide.  I ask this in Jesus's name, my Lord and Savior.

Psalms 119 - God of the impossible.

"Gives the childless wife a home, the joyful mother of children. Hallelujah!"  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭113:9‬

Psalms 119 - God of the impossible.  "Hallelujah! Praise, you servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD. Blessed be the name of the LORD both now and forever."  Psalms‬ ‭113:1-2‬.  I look back into history and see two childless wives, Sarah and Elizabeth, both wanting children but none insight.  Their faithful journey even with its bumps was rewarded with the impossible by God, who sees all.  I see bible story after bible story paint the picture of a faithful God bringing about His salvation plan even in the chaos.  As a faithful servant of His, I have this hope, even in the bumps, He is working all things out.  The joy will be overwhelming, I pray you see the light.

What is God saying to me: Thank you My son, I Am working all things out.

Dear Father, what a glorious day that will be, may we continue to sing Your praises and point to Your loving devotion to us.  Remove the scales on those that can not see, make the crippled walk, give voice to the dumb that all may know that You are God.  Help us be compassionate when visiting others, help us walk in their shoes so You may enter in.  Thank You for this day Father, thank You for Your blessings, thank You for Your Spirit.   In Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 112 - The right order of things.

"Hallelujah! Blessed the man who fears the LORD, who greatly delights in his commands."  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭112:1‬

Psalms 112 - The right order of things.   God first, living life with God brings all things into perspective, problems don't go away but your response to the problems are completely different.  You are thankful for all that happens for you know God has purpose in it.  Your spirit is super sensitive to God's direction for it is no longer just you going thru life.  Fear is put into perspective and is a holy fear to serve the King.  Joy fills the soul for your priorities are in order, God is first.  Remember it is a journey and it does not happen overnight, it takes time and God is forgiving, understanding of our human frailty.  And also knowing it is possible for He did it Himself.

What is God saying to me:  Pray and give thanks.

Dear Father, You are so good to us, loving each of us uniquely, giving what is needed for the situation.  Thank You Father for loving me a sinner and always taking me back with open arms.  We are living at the best time of history and You are bringing all things into order, Thank You Father.  Prayers for a friend just out of rehab, lift him up to receive Your graces God, may he delight in your word.   I look forward to this day, keep us all healthy and may we not stop singing Your praises.  Amen.

Psalms 111 - Truth

"Established forever and ever, to be observed with truth and equity. He sent release to his people, decreed his covenant forever; holy and fearsome is his name. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; prudent are all who practice it. His praise endures forever."  Psalms‬ ‭111:8-10‬

Psalms 111 - Truth.  Holy and fearsome is His name, there is comfort in knowing God.  There are a lot of weighty things going on in the world, yet God is in control.  In my prayer time this morning, God reminded me that there is joy in living in faith.  Those that are trusting God will have all their needs met, He is God.  Mighty are the works of God and throughout the generations He has cared for His people.  God gives us release from that which causes us concern to show us He is Truth.  Truth is revealed in seeing God at work in His word, in the stories written down.  Wisdom is revealed in knowing God does not change, what He has done before, He will do again.  Holy fear is living in truth written by Him in your daily life.

What is God saying to me:  I Am with you, do not fear, I Am.

Dear Father, there is strength in sitting still, in listening to You speak in my thoughts, in the images that you give even if they seem silly.  You work in wondrous ways to reveal Yourself and Your truth to us.  Father, thank You for going before us and reminding us that You are God and we are Your people.  May I not get weighed down by that that is fleeting.  Prayers for Your warriors being given wisdom and trusting in You, may we always praise You.   I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 110 - Strength

"Yours is princely power from the day of your birth. In holy splendor before the daystar, like dew I begot you."  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭110:3‬

Psalms 110 - Strength.  Our power comes from the Lord, Jesus sat each day at the feet of God and listened.  He poured out His soul, even though they were the same, as Son of Man he had to learn.  In contemplating Gods word and His ways, you see His heart, you see His response.  He fought back with words, with ideas, with love.  You belong to Him, You are being given strength that the world can not see but you know there is strength in following the wisdom of God.  Listen and He will speak.

What is God saying to me:  I will fight the fight for you, just as I did for Jesus.

Dear Father, I Am thankful that in the silence You are at work as long as I Am a willing participant.  I thank You for this day, I thank You for Your guidance and for giving me Your will.   We must learn first before we respond in love as Jesus did.  Prayers for increased strength as we move through this day.   Watch over your faithful servants and do with me as You will.  Amen.

Psalms 109 - Choose

"O God, whom I praise, do not be silent, for wicked and treacherous mouths attack me. They speak against me with lying tongues;

Appoint an evil one over him, an accuser to stand at his right hand,

I will give fervent thanks to the LORD; before a crowd I will praise him. For he stands at the right hand of the poor to save him from those who pass judgment on him."
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭109:2, 6, 30-31‬

Psalms 109 - Choose.  ""Do to others whatever you would have them do to you. This is the law and the prophets."  ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:12‬.  We each get a defense attorney that will stand at our right side, one that will speak for us, they are quite different.  One condemns for he lacks compassion.  The other has walked in our shoes.  Ones heart is soft for He has felt the pain, the others heart is hard for he has given the pain.  We each choose in our actions each day.  "I warned your ancestors unceasingly from the day I brought them up out of the land of Egypt even to this day: obey my voice."
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭11:7‬ ‭ Choose

What is God saying to me:  Time is passing, you have the choice.

Dear Father, harden not our hearts during these difficult times, may we see with the eyes of Christ, I can not physically walk in another's shoes but may I understand their plight.  May I love the unlovable and not give back in kind for You see all.  Father I know not what to do with the words you give but share them, may they accomplish what You desire, not my will be done but thy will be done.  Watch over us this day, give us the grace to see and the heart to obey.  I ask this in Jesus's name, Amen.

Psalms 108 - Greater is He

"Give us aid against the foe; worthless is human help. We will triumph with the help of God, who will trample down our foes."  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭108:13-14‬

Psalms 108 - Greater is He.  "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."  John‬ ‭1:1‬. God speaks through the psalmist heart and sheds light into the future.  He speaks of Jesus who conquered death, Jesus contemplates these words as He walked into Jerusalem, I can only imagine.  Our strength comes from God, knowing He knows the story before we do, knowing He is the One who will trample down the foes.  In the silence God speaks and reveals His truth that emboldens you for the dawn that awakes.  You are not alone in the fight if you sit at the feet of Jesus and listen.

What is God saying to me:  There are happy feet seeing a reality come to life before their eyes.  Live the dream, tomorrow will be a brighter day.

Dear Father, I thank You for the guidance, for the oil in my lamp with extra to spare.  Continue shedding light into my soul that speaks of Your Son Jesus.  You know the story of tomorrow and You live in me today as we walk together.  Prayers for those lost in the wilderness being swayed by popular culture, awaken the spirit to the truth of Jesus.  Father, You have prepared the morning, let's go into the day knowing You are greater in me, Amen.

Psalms 107 - Our Father

"In their distress they cried to the LORD, who saved them in their peril, Sent forth his word to heal them, and snatched them from the grave. Let them thank the LORD for his mercy, such wondrous deeds for the children of Adam. Let them offer a sacrifice in thanks, recount his works with shouts of joy."  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭107:19-22‬

Psalms 107 - Our Father.  As a father there are times you want to do for your children but you realize that there are life's lesson that you can not teach.  God the Father allows His children to learn these lessons.  As a child of a father, I had to learn myself certain things, you soon realize that father was right, his way was better for he had gone before you.  God the Father waits for the call, for the contrite heart to reach out and then love enters in.  This will happen over and over again but each time it becomes deeper rooted.  Thank God, the Father of Creation, thank your Father for all the life's lessons.  A good father let's his children make mistakes so they learn, a good child learns from the mistakes of others.  Happy Father's Day to all the dads, and Fathers in our lives.

What is God saying to me:  In Me there is peace, the most important lesson anyone can learn.  Why do you think My Son Jesus said, "Peace be with you."

Dear Father, You are always teaching as a good father should, may we always be listening and thank You for all the blessings You give.  Thank You Father for all the lessons that You have taught even if I had to deal with pain it was a lesson that I needed to learn.  You know how to reach each of us and are always at the ready to answer our cries for help, even if we don't think you are the help we need.  Thank You Father for all the great examples of fathers that we each know, those willing to sacrifice their time talent and treasure to support their families and those that they come in contact with.  Bless this day Father, bless all fathers either living or dead.  Amen.

Psalms 106 - Walk WITH God

"Remember me, LORD, as you favor your people; come to me with your saving help, That I may see the prosperity of your chosen ones, rejoice in the joy of your people, and glory with your heritage. We have sinned like our ancestors; we have done wrong and are guilty.

Save us, LORD, our God; gather us from among the nations That we may give thanks to your holy name and glory in praising you."  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭106:4-6, 47‬

Psalms 106 - Walk WITH God.  Time tells a story, how God comes and saves, shows mercy to His people and rescues them from their sinful desires.  He allows them to experience the desires of their hearts, knowing that it will not satisfy.  How many times must we be rescued before we realize that it is God that we desire.  Time tells our story as well and those of others.  Joy comes when we walk with God, trusting in His language of love and understanding.

What is God saying to me:  You are loved by Me.

Dear Father, there is harmony when we walk together, I am far from perfect but each day is a choice to continue to strive for perfection.  You embolden the heart when we seek You and I renew my mind with Your Word.  Speak Lord for Your servant is listening.  Thank You Father for the gift of my bride, she is a blessing to us and is filled with your grace.  Continue to bless this covenant union for many more years to come, together we are stronger.  Prayers for marriages that struggle, may You Father soften hearts to listen and trust in You.  Lead the way Father, the day has only begun.  Amen.

Psalms 105 - Rejoice

"Glory in his holy name; let hearts that seek the LORD rejoice! Seek out the LORD and his might; constantly seek his face. Recall the wondrous deeds he has done, his wonders and words of judgment,". ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭105:3-5‬

Psalms 105 - Rejoice.  God's ways are not our ways, we would chose the easy path, the path widely taken.  God is love and in this love He gives us the best gifts wrapped in ways that will surprise us.  When Love resides in our hearts, we are not blind to truth, we see clearly the day ahead.  It is in this trusting and knowing that God will provide, knowing that His way is the best way for each of us.  Maybe the way you are currently on is difficult, the question I would ask, how is your heart for God?  Pharaoh turned his back on God and all he seen was darkness.  When we see God as love, trusting in Him, we are given new eyes, we are given a new heart, we are given Him.  Allow the peace of Christ to enter in and be released from the bonds of this earth.

What is God saying to me:  Focus on Me, allow My Love to penetrate your heart and see what I see, rejoice.

Dear Father, today will be a beautiful day, filled with joy and many gifts that will increase my  Love for You.  It is You that I seek, it is You that I want and it is You that satisfies.  I pray for a friend getting an operation this morning, You are loving God, be ever present in the operating room and in the hearts of all those involved.  Prayers of protection from this virus that is plaguing the world, we trust in thee Lord for Your ways and far better than our ways.  Bless this day and may I be a willing participant in Your plans for this day, Amen.

"I believe, O Lord, but strengthen my faith... Heart of Jesus, I love Thee, but increase my love. Heart of Jesus, I trust in Thee, but give greater vigor to my confidence. Heart of Jesus, I give my heart to Thee, but so enclose it in Thee that it may never be separated from Thee. Heart of Jesus, I am all Thine, but take care of my promise so that I may be able to put it in practice even unto the complete sacrifice of my life."

Psalms 104 - Send forth Your Spirit

"All of these look to you to give them food in due time. When you give it to them, they gather; when you open your hand, they are well filled. When you hide your face, they panic. Take away their breath, they perish and return to the dust. Send forth your spirit, they are created and you renew the face of the earth.

May sinners vanish from the earth, and the wicked be no more. Bless the LORD, my soul! Hallelujah!"  Psalms‬ ‭104:27-30, 35‬

Psalms 104 - Send forth Your Spirit.  God created all that you see, He created it in the right order and allowed sin to enter in.  We are made in His image with free will, at what point do you realize that the happiness that you seek is the Source of life.  "My heart is restless until it finds its rest in Thee." -St Augustine.  God enters our life, we recognize Him and we seek Him, we become willing participants in God's salvation plan.  Deliberate sin vanishes from your life and you are guided by the Holy Spirit.  Renewing the face of the earth begins within, once your outlook changes it becomes a whole new world, made in the right order.

What is God saying to me: I Am at work

Dear Father, deep calls out to deep, You enlighten the soul with insight when we sit at Your feet even in our restlessness.  The distractions of this world interfere and yet when we sit still to listen, we are well fed.  Father, I trust in You, even in the chaos and daily challenges, for it is You that I depend upon.  Thank You for my guardian angel who watches over me, bless him with the grace needed to protect.  Prayers for friends who are sitting still and listening, You are renewing the face of the earth, Thank You Father, prayers are being answered.  May we each be willing participants in Your salvation plan.  Bless this day Father and be with us, Amen.

Psalms 103 - Jesus

"But the LORD's mercy is from age to age, toward those who fear him. His salvation is for the children's children of those who keep his covenant, and remember to carry out his precepts.

Bless the LORD, all his creatures, everywhere in his domain. Bless the LORD, my soul!"  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭103:17-18, 22‬

Psalms 103 - Jesus.  Did Jesus seek to please others or did He seek to please His Father in Heaven.  When we prepare ourselves each day to please our Father in Heaven, we are not concerned what others think, we are focused on the One who grants salvation.  He is the One we should have a holy fear of, our actions then will lead to blessing the Lord.  Along the way others may not like the truth or disagree and we are conscious of our actions.  Do they illuminate Christ?  In this way you will know to engage or walk away.  Bless the Lord, my soul!  Jesus did all the time and faced many challenges while always pleasing His Father.
What is God saying to me:  My heart beats within, remember this lesson for the day.

Dear Father, we are prayed up for the day, this day is my offering back to You for the gift of life.  You are at work and so is Your arch rival, help us contemplate our actions and measure them against those of Your Son Jesus.  You are slow to respond Father and so should we be as well.  I pray Father for all those putting their lives on the line to protect us, send an army of angels to guard them, help them see the power of Prayer.  Come Lord God and renew the face of the earth, Amen.

Psalms 102 - My Rock

"but you are the same, your years have no end. May the children of your servants live on; may their descendants live in your presence."  Psalms‬ ‭102:28-29‬

Psalms 102 - My Rock.  Does it bring you comfort in knowing there is one constant, One that does not change?  God!  He treats all the same, shows no partiality, Loves all equally, sees His creation as His image and seeks our salvation.  Life will toss you about, one day you are the up the next you are down and God is always constant.  Have you learned this lesson yet?  Our consistency in our prayer life anchors us to the Rock, it gives us a firm foundation, knowing God is at the helm.  Jesus as Son of Man, stood on the rock, He teaches us the way.   As His descendants, live in the presence of God the Father, plant yourself upon firm ground.  Life will still come at you but the difference is, it is His strength that holds you still.  Be blessed today, God is out front.

What is God saying to me:  Be still and listen, You need silence in your life to discern My voice.

Dear Father, We are standing upon firm ground, it may shake from time to time but You remind me that there is nothing that We can not overcome.  You amaze me Father with confirmation of the Rock of our salvation.  I know You are quietly doing mighty works that is building up a firm foundation, Thank You Father for this blessing.  Prayers for a friend in need of strength, finding his way upon the Rock, continue to strengthen him so he may share the good news with others.  Thank You Father for a glorious morning.  Amen.

Psalms 101 - God Sees

"I look to the faithful of the land to sit at my side. Whoever follows the way of integrity is the one to enter my service. No one who practices deceit can remain within my house. No one who speaks falsely can last in my presence."  Psalms‬ ‭101:6-7‬

Psalms 101 - God sees.  Are you willing to sit at the feet of God and be examined?  In the quiet of your heart He speaks.  He shows you areas that need addressed.  God cleanses the cup from the inside for He sees all even your thoughts.  I endeavor to sit at His feet each day not always wanting to hear what He has to say but knowing He is right.  It is these moments that God reveals His compassion and love for us for He longs for us to sit at His side.  Where is God calling you into service and also addressing your yes and your no?

What is God saying to me:

Dear Lord, we have journeyed far within Psalms and there is more to come.  I know You are faithful to Your words, cleanse the cup from the inside for You are greater within me.  I thank You for this day and these moments of silence, in the stillness You prepare us for the day and provide insight into tomorrow.  You know the challenge, You also know the answer, reveal truth to us Father as we continue forward.   Prayers for a friend feeling anxious, all will be well in Your eyes for You are giver of all good gifts.  Bless this day and the opportunities that You will provide.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Palms 100 - The Bread of Life

"A psalm of thanksgiving. Shout joyfully to the LORD, all you lands; serve the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful song. Know that the LORD is God, he made us, we belong to him, we are his people, the flock he shepherds. Enter his gates with thanksgiving, his courts with praise. Give thanks to him, bless his name; good indeed is the LORD, His mercy endures forever, his faithfulness lasts through every generation." ‭‭ Psalms‬ ‭100:1-5‬

Psalms 100 - God is King.  "Know that the LORD is God, He made us, we belong to Him, we are His people, the flock He shepherds."  Place yourself under the care of The Shepherd.  If you haven't done this then you don't know that He is Lord God.  The sheep that wanders off has no one to care for it other than itself.  It's fleece continues to grow, gets matted up, covered in knots and mud, becomes overgrown, is uncomfortable and is very hot.  God sees the beauty of His creation and knows what lies at the heart, when the Shepherd removes this burden from the lost sheep, the Joy is real, it becomes a new creation, living in peace with the Master.  Sin has the same effect in our lives, causing us to walk away from the pasture and covers up what God created.  "Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest." Matthew‬ ‭11:28‬ ‭ He is King, He is Master, He is the Good Shepherd, enter His gates with Joy and your fleece as white as snow.  Happy Corpus Christi Sunday, God is King, shout with Joy.

What is God saying to me: Pray, I hear the cry of the poor.

Dear Father, it is a joyful Sunday witnessing one of Your faithful servants enter into Your gates.  Speak Lord for Your servants are listening.  I thank You for the care that You continually pour upon us as we listen to Your voice.  Constantly keeping us out of harms way, pointing out the areas that we are to stay clear of.  Prayers for those with heavy burdens, prayers for those creating heavy burdens, in their un-comfort may they hear Your voice and come Home.  Bless this day Father, Thank You for feeding me with Your Flesh and Blood, show me how to carry You into the world.  I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Psalms 99 - Holy is He

"Exalt the LORD, our God; bow down before his footstool; holy is he! Moses and Aaron were among his priests, Samuel among those who called on his name; they called on the LORD, and he answered them. From the pillar of cloud he spoke to them; they kept his decrees, the law he had given them."  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭99:5-7‬

Psalms 99 - Holy is He.  How do you experience God?  I have spent the morning admiring His handy work, seeing Him in nature, seeing Him in His creation and the creations of man.  God speaks to us if we take time and worship Him, contemplate Him in our environments.   God answers us in many different ways, He is Holy and the time we spend with Him can be in many different ways.

Moses spent have half his life not hearing God, then He heard Him speak and live took on a new purpose.  Samuel, did not recognize God's voice and then he did.  In spending time in prayer, we hear God.  Live a life of prayer, in the stillness of your heart He speaks if we seek Him and then listen.  Enjoy your day, God created  everything that you see around you.

What is God saying to me:  Prayer is being answered, My Omnipotent Presence is all around you, in the vastness and in the smallest creature that you see.  Listen, I speak.

Dear Father, You are everywhere and You are Holy indeed.  May we take time out of our day and experience You, may we contemplate ways of experiencing You and spending time listening for Your voice.  You are faithful to those that are obedient to Your voice and You are never far away.   Thank You Father for a great morning, continue to reveal Yourself as we continue upon our journey.  You Lord and doing a mighty deed, may we be willing to say: "here I am Lord".  Triune God be my all. Triune God be my all. Triune God be my all.  Amen.

Psalms 98 - Vision

"A psalm. Sing a new song to the LORD, for he has done marvelous deeds. His right hand and holy arm have won the victory.

Before the LORD who comes, who comes to govern the earth, To govern the world with justice and the peoples with fairness."  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭98:1, 9

Psalms 98 - Vision.  What do you see?  Do we see the here and now and get bogged down or become defeated because it appears to be something it is not.  What does the Psalmist see?  Is he living at a time of peace and prosperity or at a time of turmoil.  I suspect at a time of turmoil for why would he need to sing a new song.  The battle has already been won, the victory belongs to God.  Does God reside in your heart?  Then you belong to God, sing with Joy.  If the answer is no then sing with Joy for that is what your heart desires.  Do not accept defeat, do not retreat from the turmoil but sing into the darkness and know the strong arm of the Lord has already won, the victory is His.  Sing praise, Sing Praise, Sing Praise.

What is God saying to me:  I see tomorrow, I Am coming and we win, enjoy your day and do not accept defeat.

Dear Father, it is another peaceful morning with hope being alive.  In the stillness You speak and I listen.  I Am thankful for this day and what You are offering for each of us, give us vision to see beyond the details and see the victory that is coming for all mankind.  Awaken our senses to a new song within, a new hope and a new joy that can only be found in Your Son Jesus.   Prayers for a friend seeing the now and not seeing the vision.  You are mighty God and You will not send us into a battle that has not already been won.  Fortify our shields, put a new song into our hearts and lead the way.  I ask this is Jesus name, Amen.  Triune God be my all, Triune God be my all, Triune God be my all.

Psalms 97 - Grace

"You who love the LORD, hate evil, he protects the souls of the faithful, rescues them from the hand of the wicked. Light dawns for the just, and gladness for the honest of heart. Rejoice in the LORD, you just, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness."  Psalms‬ ‭97:10-12‬

Psalms 97 - Grace.  How do you know you are on the right track?  There is a reason it is called faith, God gives us the grace to move forward, somehow you just know the next step is the right one.  Then God will confirm the path with an insight or Godincedence.  When we try to fathom the glory of God it can be so overwhelming yet in these moments you see His glory, You feel His presence.  And as we do this with consistency, we are being purified by God.  He removes the things that cause Him pain(sin), our love for Him grows.   There is a strength in following God, we step aside and get out of the way.   Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  1 John 4:4b

What is God saying to me:  I know you don't fully understand yet you are being faithful, that is all I ask.

Dear Lord, what an amazing journey, I see You at work, I see others stepping aside and trusting You in the outcome.  Overcome our doubts and teach us to trust in You, we will need this for the future.  Father, I just want to praise Your name and be one of Your faithful followers.  Thank You for answered prayer, You never fail to respond, may we recognize the answers to prayer in our lives.  Lead us this day Lord, give us food for thought and may we be ever mindful of You.  I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Psalms 96 - Sing to the Lord

"For great is the LORD and highly to be praised, to be feared above all gods. For the gods of the nations are idols, but the LORD made the heavens. Splendor and power go before him; power and grandeur are in his holy place."  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭96:4-6‬

Psalms 96 - Sing to the Lord. Listen to the voice of God in your life, act upon His direction.  The world we live in denies His existence yet He created it.  We are told to live in fear by the gods of this world yet God tells us Love conquers all.  "For God did not give us a spirit of cowardice but rather of power and love and self-control."  ‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭1:7.  Speak of God in normal conversations, bring Him into to your daily life.  Do not bow down to the gods of this world but honor and sing praise to the one True God.

What is God saying to me:

Dear Father, I Am listening and responding to Your call in my life.  I thank You for always being there and ready to listen.  You are God, I know You and You know me.  Be ever present in this day Father, may You always be on my tongue and may I sing of Your praises.  Prayers for seeds of faith to grow, Your words always produce the faith that is needed to drive out sin.  Thank You Father for calling home the lost and forsaken.  Bless this day with the fruits of Your labor, Amen.

Psalms 95 - Be prepared

"Come, let us sing joyfully to the LORD; cry out to the rock of our salvation."  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭95:1‬

Psalms 95 - Be prepared.   As Jesus looked out into his world, what did he see?  Does it look familiar to you?  Where did Jesus find comfort and rest?  In the presence of His Father in Heaven, in the scriptures and His word.  Jesus knew that all would be well for God tells us that in our obedience to Him and Him alone, He will provide.  God is our rock of our salvation, trust in Him, commit your ways to Him and listen.  It is going to be a glorious day, for the Father has prepared it.
What is God saying to me:  Do not worry, I love who you love.

Dear Father, there is much going on and nothing seems like it is in place.  I thank You for Your guidance and protection, help me make good choices and make the best use of the time given.  I thank You for the insight into the day and for the peace that passes all understanding.  Prayers for a friend in need of help, may You be His Rock.  May You be the Rock for all.  Bless this day Father and may we be ever mindful of You, in Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 94 - Have mercy on us.

"Judgment shall again be just, and all the upright of heart will follow it. Who will rise up for me against the wicked? Who will stand up for me against evildoers? If the LORD were not my help, I would long have been silent in the grave."  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭94:15-17‬

Psalms 94 - Have mercy on us.  Do we fight evil with evil?  Violence with violence?  In the days of Jesus there was political unrest, people were not treated fairly and felt persecuted, how did Jesus rise up?  ""You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you,"  Matthew‬ ‭5:43-44‬.  Listen to the Father and take your direction from Him.  This is what Jesus did, even in the midst of being condemned, He sat at His Fathers feet, listened and obeyed.

What is God saying to me:  Love conquers all

Dear Father, I see a world tearing itself apart, fighting fire with fire.  You seen the same and prayed for peace, every where You went You said: "Peace be with you."   In these days of unrest, may this message of peace be with you resonate in the hearts of all the faithful and unfaithful.   You have blessed us with an amazing life, filled with hope and joy, may You speak louder than that that is around us.  Thank You Father for a great weekend, lead the way this week and overcome the challenges that we will face.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 93 - The Power of God

"Your decrees are firmly established; holiness befits your house, LORD, for all the length of days."  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭93:5‬

Psalms 93 - The power of God.  The psalmist sits and ponders God, ponders His mighty works, His undeniable strength.  How different our world would be if each of us would sit still and just ponder God.  You would see God at work in your life, the chance encounters that lead to ever lasting love.  The blessings from above that bring joy into your life.  Happiness is found in loving and listening to God, in witnessing His majesty.  Emptiness is given when we don't ponder God for the things of this world are passing away, God is everlasting.  Happy Holy Trinity Sunday, He is God.

What is God saying to me:  Enjoy the stillness, it is a gift from above.

Dear Lord God, You we can not fathom, we struggle to define You for You are so much more that we can comprehend.   Help us see the need for You in our daily lives.  Sanctify us as we spend time with You, open up Your word to us and fill us with the presence of Your Holy Spirit.  Thank You Father for filling us with Your graces or emptying us out with the emptiness of this world.  You are the Master Builder and we are the clay, may we be obedient to Your call in our lives.  I ask this in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Psalms 92 - planted in truth

"The just shall flourish like the palm tree, shall grow like a cedar of Lebanon. Planted in the house of the LORD, they shall flourish in the courts of our God."  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭92:13-14‬

Psalms 92 - Planted in truth.  Are you planted in good fertile soil?  I have this image of a tree's root system in the ground being fed each day with the nutrients needed to grow into a mighty tree.  We insure we are fed physically for our health, are we insuring we are planted in truth for our spiritual health.   It is the unseen that holds us firm, it is the quiet time we deliberately take to be fed by God.  It is in listening to the Holy Spirit and being pruned where we grow strong.  "The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and buffeted the house. But it did not collapse; it had been set solidly on rock."  Matthew‬ ‭7:25‬   Be planted upon firm ground.

What is God saying to me:  I Am the Master builder, listen to My words and live forever.

Dear Father, it is a beautiful day to be nourished by You, I see the roots growing deeper and being built for a purpose.  You are the Giver of all good gifts and I thank You for our time this morning.  Even when I am not sitting still You are still engaging my senses to hear Your voice.  Prayers for a young couple beginning their life together in Your presence, endow them with a happy marriage and a life that produces good fruit.  Prayers for a world building upon sandy soil may they see the fruit of Your words and grow in peace.  I ask all these things in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Psalms 91 - child of God

"Because he clings to me I will deliver him; because he knows my name I will set him on high. He will call upon me and I will answer; I will be with him in distress; I will deliver him and give him honor. With length of days I will satisfy him, and fill him with my saving power."  Psalms‬ ‭91:14-16‬

Psalms 91 - child of God.   Cause and affect in our daily life, you play an integral role on the affect.  Do you cling to God?  Do you know His name?  Do you allow His breath to enter you?  Do you hear His whispers?  I spent 48 years of my life playing the role but not living it.   Today I live who God called me to be, I listen to His voice, I speak of Him and His name,  I breathe His word in each day, I love God.  Is life without challenges - No, is everything perfect - no, I Am filled with joy - yes, am I filled with peace- yes.  There is a cause and affect in our relationship with God.  Is God directing the outcome of your day or is God not even a part of God.  Allow Him to be the cause and watch what happens.

What is God saying to me: You are loved beyond measure.

Dear Father, You reside within and bring peace into my day.  I know Jesus walked on this world and lived the life You gave Him.  I know You walked with Him and You walk with us.  Help us engage in our relationship, help us grow in love with You, help us hear You.  May the events of our life illuminate You and/or the need for You in our lives.  Prayers for those working hard today, building a life, a future, may You God not be a second thought but their all in all.  I love You Father and as Your child, I just want to please You, lead the way.  Amen.

Psalms 90 - Do not toil in vain

"Seventy is the sum of our years, or eighty, if we are strong; Most of them are toil and sorrow; they pass quickly, and we are gone.

Teach us to count our days aright, that we may gain wisdom of heart.

Fill us at daybreak with your mercy, that all our days we may sing for joy.

May the favor of the Lord our God be ours. Prosper the work of our hands! Prosper the work of our hands!"  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭90:10, 12, 14, 17‬

Psalms 90 - Do not toil in vain.  Being who God created you to be takes conscious effort.  Life passes by quickly and we can waste it away by not even being engaged in our eternity.  A life dedicated to loving God gains wisdom, gains understanding, gains insight and is precious in the sight of God for the life is fulfilling its purpose.  A life going through the motions, or building a Tower of Babel is still precious in the sight of God but it lives for itself.  It's eternity will be separated from God.  Life has a purpose, know you're purpose by listening to God, being guided by the Holy Spirit and waiting upon your treasure that resides in Heaven.

What is God saying to me: I see what you see and each has free will to choose their own eternity.  Open up My word to them, love My creation, created in My image.

Dear Father, speak softly into our spirits so we may discern Your voice over the voice of the evil one.  Turn us back to loving and honoring You, may we all understand we are created in Your Image and likeness.  Give us a dedicated focus to loving You and fulfilling the mission we were created for.  We are all Your sons and daughters, bring the lost home and may we who know You imitate Your Son Jesus this day.  I ask this in the mighty name of Jesus.  Amen.

Psalms 89 - staying centered

"Blessed the people who know the war cry, who walk in the radiance of your face, LORD. In your name they sing joyfully all the day; they rejoice in your righteousness. You are their majestic strength; by your favor our horn is exalted. Truly the LORD is our shield, the Holy One of Israel, our king!

Blessed be the LORD forever! Amen and amen!"  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭89:16-19, 53‬

Psalms 89 - staying centered.  We begin a new day, sitting in my prayer room reflecting upon my Father in Heaven and upon His word.  This is a peaceful place, love begets love and we both know that we will enter the streets where not everyone begins this way.

As God's people, surround yourself in prayer, slow down and do not react to the world around you, walk in peace, stay centered in God's word.  We can easily find ourselves being drawn into the fight, listening to the rhetoric and responding, only adding fuel to the fire.  Love begets love and hate/violence begets hate and violence.  Jesus wasn't changed by the world, He changed the world, begin again grounded in the love of Christ.

What is God saying to me:  My words are penetrating your spirit and revealing truth, live in peace.

Dear Father, I love You and I hurt when You hurt.  Thank You Father for giving us a place of promise, of hope, for a life that gives You and us joy.  There are many prayers this morning Lord, the most important one is that we have ears to hear You.  You are pure love and You are the answer to what all are seeking.  Bring about peace and joy during these labor pains, it will be a glorious day.  Blessed be the Holy name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Psalms 88 - Put your faith into action

"My couch is among the dead, like the slain who lie in the grave. You remember them no more; they are cut off from your influence.

But I cry out to you, LORD; in the morning my prayer comes before you."  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭88:6, 14‬

Psalms 88 - Put your faith into action.  In our times of despair we cry out to God, we seek His salvation.  When life is good, we have no troubles, do we seek God with the same passion?  God hears us every time we seek Him, the Psalmist lived his faith in good times and in bad, he always sought God.  God walks amongst the living, He breathes hope into our spirit.  The crisis will always pass, remember to give thanks and put your faith into action speak of the glory of God.  Life gives life back when we activate our faith.

What is God saying to me:  You are not alone.

Dear Father, You have given us another glorious day to go and put our faith into action.  There are many being lead around by the noise spewing falsehood into the culture, may we remember that we were created with love and love is the foundation of our salvation.  Help us walk in another's shoes so we can understand and may love be on our lips.  I pray for our culture, in these times of troubles may You God rise up and bring hope into the hearts and souls of the lost.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 87 - At the heart of it

"The LORD loves the gates of Zion more than any dwelling in Jacob. Glorious things are said of you, O city of God! Selah"  Psalms‬ ‭87:2-3‬

Psalms 87 - At the heart of it.  Zion is a place, it has gates and there is a king that resides there or thee King.  You have the keys to the gate and you also know if the King is at home within the gates.  It is also a city with many many others who have found the treasure, it's walls are fortified with prayer, it lives in joy and it serves the Triune God.  You are loved by God, you hold the keys, let Him in, it is a real place that brings joy to your life.

What is God saying to me:  You can see the city within others, there is something about them that reveals this place.  Jesus lives there.

Dear Father, I thank You for the living examples of Zion that proclaim the good news with passion, and with conviction.  I thank You Father for the fruits that will be coming out of this weekend, I thank You for full nets and I thank You for the guidance of Your Holy Spirit.  Prayers for this world Lord tearing itself apart with hate, may Love enter in and bring peace to the situation.  May we listen intently to what others are saying and respond with love or say nothing.  Prayers for those outside the city of Zion, may they see Truth and come on in.  Bless this day and all it has to offer, in Jesus name, Amen.
