A Bible verse to begin or end the day with. Guided by the Holy Spirit, I publish a daily thought to help keep The Triune God in the center of my life and through out the day. I am not a biblical scholar just a normal guy that tries to live a Christ centered life. He will return, we are called to be His eyes, His hands, His feet, His Ears, His Voice and His Body. Jesus, I trust in You! "Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world." 1 John 4:4b

Psalms 115 - The Living God
Psalms 115 - The Living God. I wonder what inspired the Psalmist in 115, what was he witnessing in his world. I sit and ponder the works of God, they live, they breath, they produce, they give life. The works of man's hands are inanimate objects, they can become our idols, why would we place our trust in them. God gives breath to our life and our environment. In the stillness of the day ponder those things that does not glorify God. "The heavens belong to the LORD, but he has given the earth to the children of Adam." Psalms 115:16. Do they help you get to Heaven or do they lay a trap that will banish you from Heaven.
What is God saying to me: Enjoy the day, everything you see that lives and breathes, I have given life too, the works of man's hands do not move without my assistance.
Dear Father, I enjoy Your embrace this morning, watching and learning of the world around me. I thank You for the constant reminder of how great You are and without You we are lost. Thank You Father for the innocence of a child as he learns and grows, may we witness to others with this same innocence and zeal for learning. Prayers for those who are locked in and feeling down trodden may they see and feel the beauty of Your Spirit. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 114 - The Power of God
Psalms 114 - The Power of God. Do we get to make God in our own image? If we are trying too that is not a healthy image. God does things in His own ways, He speaks throughout history how He led the slaves out of captivity. Today the power the world yields over each of us is being changed, you can try and hold on but God will do it His way. You may not like it and try and wrestle with God that your way is better, God will teach us to trust in Him. He will provide for all our needs, do not be like the Israelites that wandered in the desert lost. "The beginning of wisdom is fear of the LORD, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." Proverbs 9:10 He reveals Himself in scripture, it helps if you read it deliberately.

Psalms 119 - God of the impossible.
Psalms 119 - God of the impossible. "Hallelujah! Praise, you servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD. Blessed be the name of the LORD both now and forever." Psalms 113:1-2. I look back into history and see two childless wives, Sarah and Elizabeth, both wanting children but none insight. Their faithful journey even with its bumps was rewarded with the impossible by God, who sees all. I see bible story after bible story paint the picture of a faithful God bringing about His salvation plan even in the chaos. As a faithful servant of His, I have this hope, even in the bumps, He is working all things out. The joy will be overwhelming, I pray you see the light.

Psalms 112 - The right order of things.
Psalms 112 - The right order of things. God first, living life with God brings all things into perspective, problems don't go away but your response to the problems are completely different. You are thankful for all that happens for you know God has purpose in it. Your spirit is super sensitive to God's direction for it is no longer just you going thru life. Fear is put into perspective and is a holy fear to serve the King. Joy fills the soul for your priorities are in order, God is first. Remember it is a journey and it does not happen overnight, it takes time and God is forgiving, understanding of our human frailty. And also knowing it is possible for He did it Himself.
What is God saying to me: Pray and give thanks.
Dear Father, You are so good to us, loving each of us uniquely, giving what is needed for the situation. Thank You Father for loving me a sinner and always taking me back with open arms. We are living at the best time of history and You are bringing all things into order, Thank You Father. Prayers for a friend just out of rehab, lift him up to receive Your graces God, may he delight in your word. I look forward to this day, keep us all healthy and may we not stop singing Your praises. Amen.

Psalms 111 - Truth
Psalms 111 - Truth. Holy and fearsome is His name, there is comfort in knowing God. There are a lot of weighty things going on in the world, yet God is in control. In my prayer time this morning, God reminded me that there is joy in living in faith. Those that are trusting God will have all their needs met, He is God. Mighty are the works of God and throughout the generations He has cared for His people. God gives us release from that which causes us concern to show us He is Truth. Truth is revealed in seeing God at work in His word, in the stories written down. Wisdom is revealed in knowing God does not change, what He has done before, He will do again. Holy fear is living in truth written by Him in your daily life.
Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4b

Psalms 110 - Strength
Psalms 110 - Strength. Our power comes from the Lord, Jesus sat each day at the feet of God and listened. He poured out His soul, even though they were the same, as Son of Man he had to learn. In contemplating Gods word and His ways, you see His heart, you see His response. He fought back with words, with ideas, with love. You belong to Him, You are being given strength that the world can not see but you know there is strength in following the wisdom of God. Listen and He will speak.
What is God saying to me: I will fight the fight for you, just as I did for Jesus.
Dear Father, I Am thankful that in the silence You are at work as long as I Am a willing participant. I thank You for this day, I thank You for Your guidance and for giving me Your will. We must learn first before we respond in love as Jesus did. Prayers for increased strength as we move through this day. Watch over your faithful servants and do with me as You will. Amen.

Psalms 109 - Choose
Appoint an evil one over him, an accuser to stand at his right hand,
I will give fervent thanks to the LORD; before a crowd I will praise him. For he stands at the right hand of the poor to save him from those who pass judgment on him."
Psalms 109:2, 6, 30-31
Psalms 109 - Choose. ""Do to others whatever you would have them do to you. This is the law and the prophets." Matthew 7:12. We each get a defense attorney that will stand at our right side, one that will speak for us, they are quite different. One condemns for he lacks compassion. The other has walked in our shoes. Ones heart is soft for He has felt the pain, the others heart is hard for he has given the pain. We each choose in our actions each day. "I warned your ancestors unceasingly from the day I brought them up out of the land of Egypt even to this day: obey my voice."
Jeremiah 11:7 Choose
What is God saying to me: Time is passing, you have the choice.
Dear Father, harden not our hearts during these difficult times, may we see with the eyes of Christ, I can not physically walk in another's shoes but may I understand their plight. May I love the unlovable and not give back in kind for You see all. Father I know not what to do with the words you give but share them, may they accomplish what You desire, not my will be done but thy will be done. Watch over us this day, give us the grace to see and the heart to obey. I ask this in Jesus's name, Amen.

Psalms 108 - Greater is He
Psalms 108 - Greater is He. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." John 1:1. God speaks through the psalmist heart and sheds light into the future. He speaks of Jesus who conquered death, Jesus contemplates these words as He walked into Jerusalem, I can only imagine. Our strength comes from God, knowing He knows the story before we do, knowing He is the One who will trample down the foes. In the silence God speaks and reveals His truth that emboldens you for the dawn that awakes. You are not alone in the fight if you sit at the feet of Jesus and listen.

Psalms 107 - Our Father
Psalms 107 - Our Father. As a father there are times you want to do for your children but you realize that there are life's lesson that you can not teach. God the Father allows His children to learn these lessons. As a child of a father, I had to learn myself certain things, you soon realize that father was right, his way was better for he had gone before you. God the Father waits for the call, for the contrite heart to reach out and then love enters in. This will happen over and over again but each time it becomes deeper rooted. Thank God, the Father of Creation, thank your Father for all the life's lessons. A good father let's his children make mistakes so they learn, a good child learns from the mistakes of others. Happy Father's Day to all the dads, and Fathers in our lives.
What is God saying to me: In Me there is peace, the most important lesson anyone can learn. Why do you think My Son Jesus said, "Peace be with you."

Psalms 105 - Rejoice
"I believe, O Lord, but strengthen my faith... Heart of Jesus, I love Thee, but increase my love. Heart of Jesus, I trust in Thee, but give greater vigor to my confidence. Heart of Jesus, I give my heart to Thee, but so enclose it in Thee that it may never be separated from Thee. Heart of Jesus, I am all Thine, but take care of my promise so that I may be able to put it in practice even unto the complete sacrifice of my life."

Psalms 102 - My Rock
Psalms 102 - My Rock. Does it bring you comfort in knowing there is one constant, One that does not change? God! He treats all the same, shows no partiality, Loves all equally, sees His creation as His image and seeks our salvation. Life will toss you about, one day you are the up the next you are down and God is always constant. Have you learned this lesson yet? Our consistency in our prayer life anchors us to the Rock, it gives us a firm foundation, knowing God is at the helm. Jesus as Son of Man, stood on the rock, He teaches us the way. As His descendants, live in the presence of God the Father, plant yourself upon firm ground. Life will still come at you but the difference is, it is His strength that holds you still. Be blessed today, God is out front.
What is God saying to me: Be still and listen, You need silence in your life to discern My voice.
Dear Father, We are standing upon firm ground, it may shake from time to time but You remind me that there is nothing that We can not overcome. You amaze me Father with confirmation of the Rock of our salvation. I know You are quietly doing mighty works that is building up a firm foundation, Thank You Father for this blessing. Prayers for a friend in need of strength, finding his way upon the Rock, continue to strengthen him so he may share the good news with others. Thank You Father for a glorious morning. Amen.

Psalms 101 - God Sees
Sunday, June 14, 2020
Palms 100 - The Bread of Life
Psalms 100 - God is King. "Know that the LORD is God, He made us, we belong to Him, we are His people, the flock He shepherds." Place yourself under the care of The Shepherd. If you haven't done this then you don't know that He is Lord God. The sheep that wanders off has no one to care for it other than itself. It's fleece continues to grow, gets matted up, covered in knots and mud, becomes overgrown, is uncomfortable and is very hot. God sees the beauty of His creation and knows what lies at the heart, when the Shepherd removes this burden from the lost sheep, the Joy is real, it becomes a new creation, living in peace with the Master. Sin has the same effect in our lives, causing us to walk away from the pasture and covers up what God created. "Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28 He is King, He is Master, He is the Good Shepherd, enter His gates with Joy and your fleece as white as snow. Happy Corpus Christi Sunday, God is King, shout with Joy.

Psalms 99 - Holy is He
Psalms 99 - Holy is He. How do you experience God? I have spent the morning admiring His handy work, seeing Him in nature, seeing Him in His creation and the creations of man. God speaks to us if we take time and worship Him, contemplate Him in our environments. God answers us in many different ways, He is Holy and the time we spend with Him can be in many different ways.
What is God saying to me: Prayer is being answered, My Omnipotent Presence is all around you, in the vastness and in the smallest creature that you see. Listen, I speak.
Dear Father, You are everywhere and You are Holy indeed. May we take time out of our day and experience You, may we contemplate ways of experiencing You and spending time listening for Your voice. You are faithful to those that are obedient to Your voice and You are never far away. Thank You Father for a great morning, continue to reveal Yourself as we continue upon our journey. You Lord and doing a mighty deed, may we be willing to say: "here I am Lord". Triune God be my all. Triune God be my all. Triune God be my all. Amen.

Psalms 98 - Vision
Before the LORD who comes, who comes to govern the earth, To govern the world with justice and the peoples with fairness." Psalms 98:1, 9
Psalms 98 - Vision. What do you see? Do we see the here and now and get bogged down or become defeated because it appears to be something it is not. What does the Psalmist see? Is he living at a time of peace and prosperity or at a time of turmoil. I suspect at a time of turmoil for why would he need to sing a new song. The battle has already been won, the victory belongs to God. Does God reside in your heart? Then you belong to God, sing with Joy. If the answer is no then sing with Joy for that is what your heart desires. Do not accept defeat, do not retreat from the turmoil but sing into the darkness and know the strong arm of the Lord has already won, the victory is His. Sing praise, Sing Praise, Sing Praise.

Psalms 97 - Grace
Psalms 97 - Grace. How do you know you are on the right track? There is a reason it is called faith, God gives us the grace to move forward, somehow you just know the next step is the right one. Then God will confirm the path with an insight or Godincedence. When we try to fathom the glory of God it can be so overwhelming yet in these moments you see His glory, You feel His presence. And as we do this with consistency, we are being purified by God. He removes the things that cause Him pain(sin), our love for Him grows. There is a strength in following God, we step aside and get out of the way. Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4b
What is God saying to me: I know you don't fully understand yet you are being faithful, that is all I ask.
Dear Lord, what an amazing journey, I see You at work, I see others stepping aside and trusting You in the outcome. Overcome our doubts and teach us to trust in You, we will need this for the future. Father, I just want to praise Your name and be one of Your faithful followers. Thank You for answered prayer, You never fail to respond, may we recognize the answers to prayer in our lives. Lead us this day Lord, give us food for thought and may we be ever mindful of You. I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Psalms 96 - Sing to the Lord
Psalms 96 - Sing to the Lord. Listen to the voice of God in your life, act upon His direction. The world we live in denies His existence yet He created it. We are told to live in fear by the gods of this world yet God tells us Love conquers all. "For God did not give us a spirit of cowardice but rather of power and love and self-control." 2 Timothy 1:7. Speak of God in normal conversations, bring Him into to your daily life. Do not bow down to the gods of this world but honor and sing praise to the one True God.

Psalms 94 - Have mercy on us.
Psalms 94 - Have mercy on us. Do we fight evil with evil? Violence with violence? In the days of Jesus there was political unrest, people were not treated fairly and felt persecuted, how did Jesus rise up? ""You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you," Matthew 5:43-44. Listen to the Father and take your direction from Him. This is what Jesus did, even in the midst of being condemned, He sat at His Fathers feet, listened and obeyed.

Psalms 92 - planted in truth
Psalms 92 - Planted in truth. Are you planted in good fertile soil? I have this image of a tree's root system in the ground being fed each day with the nutrients needed to grow into a mighty tree. We insure we are fed physically for our health, are we insuring we are planted in truth for our spiritual health. It is the unseen that holds us firm, it is the quiet time we deliberately take to be fed by God. It is in listening to the Holy Spirit and being pruned where we grow strong. "The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and buffeted the house. But it did not collapse; it had been set solidly on rock." Matthew 7:25 Be planted upon firm ground.

Psalms 90 - Do not toil in vain
Teach us to count our days aright, that we may gain wisdom of heart.
Fill us at daybreak with your mercy, that all our days we may sing for joy.
May the favor of the Lord our God be ours. Prosper the work of our hands! Prosper the work of our hands!" Psalms 90:10, 12, 14, 17
Psalms 90 - Do not toil in vain. Being who God created you to be takes conscious effort. Life passes by quickly and we can waste it away by not even being engaged in our eternity. A life dedicated to loving God gains wisdom, gains understanding, gains insight and is precious in the sight of God for the life is fulfilling its purpose. A life going through the motions, or building a Tower of Babel is still precious in the sight of God but it lives for itself. It's eternity will be separated from God. Life has a purpose, know you're purpose by listening to God, being guided by the Holy Spirit and waiting upon your treasure that resides in Heaven.
What is God saying to me: I see what you see and each has free will to choose their own eternity. Open up My word to them, love My creation, created in My image.
Dear Father, speak softly into our spirits so we may discern Your voice over the voice of the evil one. Turn us back to loving and honoring You, may we all understand we are created in Your Image and likeness. Give us a dedicated focus to loving You and fulfilling the mission we were created for. We are all Your sons and daughters, bring the lost home and may we who know You imitate Your Son Jesus this day. I ask this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Blessed be the LORD forever! Amen and amen!" Psalms 89:16-19, 53
Psalms 89 - staying centered. We begin a new day, sitting in my prayer room reflecting upon my Father in Heaven and upon His word. This is a peaceful place, love begets love and we both know that we will enter the streets where not everyone begins this way.
