Psalms 115 - The Living God

"Why should the nations say, "Where is their God?" Our God is in heaven and does whatever he wills. Their idols are silver and gold, the work of human hands."  Psalms‬ ‭115:2-4‬

Psalms 115 - The Living God.  I wonder what inspired the Psalmist in 115, what was he witnessing in his world.  I sit and ponder the works of God, they live, they breath, they produce, they give life.  The works of man's hands are inanimate objects, they can become our idols, why would we place our trust in them.  God gives breath to our life and our environment.  In the stillness of the day ponder those things that does not glorify God.  "The heavens belong to the LORD, but he has given the earth to the children of Adam."  Psalms‬ ‭115:16‬.  Do they help you get to Heaven or do they lay a trap that will banish you from Heaven.

What is God saying to me: Enjoy the day, everything you see that lives and breathes, I have given life too, the works of man's hands do not move without my assistance.

Dear Father, I enjoy Your embrace this morning, watching and learning of the world around me.  I thank You for the constant reminder of how great You are and without You we are lost.   Thank You Father for the innocence of a child as he learns and grows, may we witness to others with this same innocence and zeal for learning.  Prayers for those who are locked in and feeling down trodden may they see and feel the beauty of Your Spirit.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
