Isaiah 37 The Power of Prayer

"Hezekiah prayed to the LORD: "LORD of hosts, God of Israel, enthroned on the cherubim! You alone are God over all the kingdoms of the earth. It is you who made the heavens and the earth. Incline your ear, LORD, and listen! open your eyes, LORD, and see! Hear all the words Sennacherib has sent to taunt the living God. Truly, O LORD, the kings of Assyria have laid waste the nations and their lands."  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭37:15-18‬

Isaiah 37  The Power of Prayer.  Hezekiah knew what needed to be done in his time of need.  The reports were not good, the god's of the world were on the attack, there was fear and anguish on what to do.  Prayer is always the answer, leaning not on your own understanding but on God.   Those same god's are still on the attack, look at those who worship the god's of this world and the messages their are saying.  They work at blaspheming the Lord God Almighty and how He is insignificant in this time.  What is the answer?  Prayer is always the answer!  The accounts of on old are in our sight, we see them happening before our eyes, Altars are being removed, God is being denied and people are being told to trust in the world.  The answer lies in ancient scrolls, turn to the Lord and praise our Creator.

What is God saying to me:  Trust in Me, incline your ear to Me and I will renew the face of the earth.

Dear Father God, these times are not new, they are just a repeat of a similar event when your people turn their back on You.  Lord I know that You hear our prayers and I know that all is well.  Thank You for the victories in our lives when we turn to You and listen, when we make You the King that we follow.  My prayer Lord is that more and more people recognize the depth of Your love and the story that is repeating itself.  You will not lose one that turns to You.  I thank You Father for drawing Your family home, I thank You for this special day and for another child of God to receive the Sacrament of Baptism.  There is purpose in the gifts that You have given to the Church, we receive graces when we honor You.  May I honor You with my Life for nothing else is worthy of Your love, Amen
