Isaiah 43 - Covenant Relationship

"But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, Jacob, and formed you, Israel: Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name: you are mine.

You are my witnesses —oracle of the LORD — my servant whom I have chosen To know and believe in me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, and after me there shall be none.

The people whom I formed for myself, that they might recount my praise. Yet you did not call upon me, Jacob, for you grew weary of me, Israel. You did not bring me sheep for your burnt offerings, nor honor me with your sacrifices. I did not exact from you the service of offerings, nor weary you for frankincense. You did not buy me sweet cane, nor did you fill me with the fat of your sacrifices; Instead, you burdened me with your sins, wearied me with your crimes." ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43:1, 10, 21-24‬

Isaiah 43 - Covenant Relationship.  God speaks of His covenant relationship with Jacob, of His faithful witness to His word.  He points out Jacobs unfaithful actions, his half hearted efforts and ignoring God, sound familiar.  In understanding God's undying love for us, He is fully committed, we on the other hand become like a god and turn our back on Him.  That does not eliminate the covenant for what God commits to, He doesn't stop.  Prayer is a big part of our relationship with God.  You only get to know someone when you sit and visit.  God is always at the ready for you are His, a little conversation goes a long way.

What is God saying to me: Conversation opens up dialogue, dialogue reveals the heart, Love conquers all.  Be obedient to My voice.

Dear Father, I am thankful for our conversation, in Your word Your heart is being revealed.  My wayward ways are being revealed and together we are continuing to develop and grow.  It is I that is developing and growing, You are perfect, You are God.  Prayers for those who struggle with You Father, who like Jacob and Israel wandered away.  You are always there with open arms ready to receive Your children.  Bless this day Father, prayers for a friend that carries anger in his heart, release his pain that holds him back.  I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Heaven, Pray for us.
