Isaiah 40:1-11 Our Reward

"Comfort, give comfort to my people, says your God.

The grass withers, the flower wilts, but the word of our God stands forever."

Here comes with power the Lord GOD, who rules by his strong arm; Here is his reward with him, his recompense before him."  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭40:1, 8, 10‬

Isaiah 40:1-11  Our Reward.  It was the Word of God who gave Adam life.  "then the LORD God formed the man out of the dust of the ground and blew into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being." ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭2:7‬ ‭ For a brief period of time humanity lived with a glorified body but being made in the image and likeness of God and not understanding His will we entered into sin and this vale of tears.  Our reward is His perfect image of us.  Jesus revealed it after His resurrection but first He had to die, He had to live as we do and prepare the way.  What awaits us is a glorified body, our earthly bodies will return to dust but our glorified bodies will live forever.  The choices you make each day leads you through this vale of tears.  Keep your eye on the prize, recognize the attack and do not fall asleep and become captivated by the world.  "The grass withers, the flower wilts, but the word of our God stands forever." Go up onto a high mountain, Zion, herald of good news! Cry out at the top of your voice, Jerusalem, herald of good news! Cry out, do not fear! Say to the cities of Judah: Here is your God!"  Isaiah‬ ‭40:8-9‬

What is God saying to me:  I am with you, you are not alone, keep walking.

Dear Lord God, I am thankful for our friendship, for the quiet whisper and the understanding touch.  You have lived this life and have dealt with all of our situations, You give us strength in our times of need.  Thank You for the lesson that has been unfolding this week.  Prayers for a couple getting married today, may their sacramental vows being made in Your presence carry them on the journey.  Prayers for a friend in the valley, lift them up Lord and give them the beatified vision of Your glory.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
