Isaiah 39 Plundered

"At that time Merodach-baladan, son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and gifts to Hezekiah, when he heard that he had been sick and had recovered. Hezekiah was pleased at their coming, and then showed the messengers his treasury, the silver and gold, the spices and perfumed oil, his whole armory, and everything in his storerooms; there was nothing in his house or in all his realm that Hezekiah did not show them.

He asked, "What did they see in your house?" Hezekiah answered, "They saw everything in my house. There is nothing in my storerooms that I did not show them." Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, "Hear the word of the LORD of hosts: The time is coming when all that is in your house, everything that your ancestors have stored up until this day, shall be carried off to Babylon; nothing shall be left, says the LORD."  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭39:1-2, 4-6‬

Isaiah 39  Plundered.  You just received a new lease on life, everything is great and then you invite the enemy in and show him around.  This happens on a regular bases, we feel good, looking forward to the future and our guard is down.  The enemy knows when to attack and how, looks innocent enough bearing gifts.  The new life you have just been given is taken from you and you are not even aware of it happening.  Guard your house, have Jesus at the door and watching over you.  Daily prayer, spiritual reading, attending mass, inviting God into your decisions, this is how you guard against Spiritual attacks.  "A thief comes only to steal and slaughter and destroy; I came so that they might have life and have it more abundantly."  ‭‭John‬ ‭10:10‬  The Gospels are alive in each of our lives, live life in abundance with Jesus on the inside not on the outside trying to get back in again.

What is God saying to me:  I Am God, there is no other.

Dear Father, I thank You for keeping the key yo my store room, You are the keeper of my soul and I entrust my life to You.  You are God and You are doing mighty things in our midst, help us slow down and appreciate the goodness of life, the moments of conversation with friends to share what gives us joy.  Help us sow the Good seed that brings others new life and reveals Your covenant plan for each of us.  Prayers for Your Divine will to reign in our hearts and joy to be on our lips.  You are the Peace that I seek.  I ask this through Jesus Christ, Amen.
