Isaiah 66 Divine Worship

"Thus says the LORD: The heavens are my throne, the earth, my footstool. What house can you build for me? Where is the place of my rest?

From new moon to new moon, and from sabbath to sabbath, All flesh shall come to worship before me, says the LORD. They shall go out and see the corpses of the people who rebelled against me; For their worm shall not die, their fire shall not be extinguished; and they shall be an abhorrence to all flesh."  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭66:1, 23-24‬

Isaiah 66  Divine Worship.  The depth of knowledge Isaiah received from God by just sitting at His feet.  Isaiah started this journey to awaken God's people, to give them hope in their heart, to share with them what he had found.  When God begins this journey with you, you make room for Him in your life, it is a transforming relationship that is journeyed together each day.  That choice is yours, to pick up scripture and listen to Wisdom.  There is so much packed into God's word that one lifetime is not enough, it will take an eternity to fully grasp all that is there for you.  But some will chose the path of flesh, the easy way out only to be tormented by their callous decision.  "for it is written: "As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bend before me, and every tongue shall give praise to God." So [then] each of us shall give an account of himself [to God]."  ‭‭Romans‬ ‭14:11-12‬.  Seek and you shall find.

What is God saying to me: Tomorrow begins a new chapter, it is all coming in due time.  I am writing My story within.

Dear Father God, I have enjoyed listening to the words of Isaiah through You, I know we could begin again and the path would be different yet the result the same, a greater love for You.  I thank You for putting me on this daily journey, You are the keeper of my soul who is feeding my spirit in more ways than one.  Prayers Father for those with Covid struggling to breath, prayers for their families seeking intervention may they not forget the power of prayer in the future and make a place for you in their hearts.  Bless this coming week, keep us all safe and warm.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Isaiah 63:17-25 New Life

"See, I am creating new heavens and a new earth; The former things shall not be remembered nor come to mind. Instead, shout for joy and be glad forever in what I am creating. Indeed, I am creating Jerusalem to be a joy and its people to be a delight;". ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭65:17-18‬

Isaiah 63:17-25  New Life.  Isaiah is describing Paradise, a world without the influence of sin, everything has its proper place and God is on His throne.  This is the world that God imagined when He created it, a world where we served each other and self came last.  The only world I can impact is the one that I live in, like Isaiah, I long for Paradise.  With God on the throne, all will be well, I have want for nothing.  I shout for joy of heart, I serve God of the impossible, I unger for nothing other than being nearer to God.  Paradise is achievable if we each served One Holy God, the God of Creation.

What is God saying to me:  I make crooked paths straight.

Dear Father, we begin the Advent season with a fresh outlook, with the vision of Isaiah in our hearts.  A world filled with Love and Joy, seeking to serve You.  This vision You placed within Isaiah, You give each of us the desire to be in Paradise, influence our worlds to see the reality of Truth so we may assist You in bringing about Paradise, it begins at home.  Prayers for a friend with Covid, give them life in their lungs.  Prayers for a world in a strangle hold, May we each realize that You are God and capable of the impossible.  Thank You Father for Isaiah's vision and our goal in life.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Isaiah 65:1-16 Order

"therefore thus says the Lord GOD: My servants shall eat, but you shall go hungry; My servants shall drink, but you shall be thirsty; My servants shall rejoice, but you shall be put to shame; My servants shall shout for joy of heart, But you shall cry out for grief of heart, and howl for anguish of spirit."  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭65:13-14‬

Isaiah 65:1-16  Order.  God calls out by saying: "I said: Here I am! Here I am! To a nation that did not invoke my name."
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭65:1‬b  He seen their wayward ways and the pain it brings.  Our response only needs to be the size of a mustard seed, God only needs a small faith filled response and thru this response He will bring order to your life.  This daily response even in the smallest ways brings order to your life.  This occurs over time and in this relationship God walks with you, it is Him that is bringing order for His roots run deep.  Be blessed with the peace of Christ in your heart, He satisfies all your needs and all you have to say is "Here I am, I hear You."

What is God saying to me: I make all things new again even in the bleakest of situations, will you respond to my call.

Dear Father, I hear You calling out to whom I do not know.  I do know that when we respond and faithfully follow there is order in our lives.  Even when we slip up, You are there to pick us up and help us along our way.  I thank You Father for calling out and finding this lost soul that didn't know it was lost, a deception of the evil one.  Thank You Father for the soaking rain that is much needed.  Prayers for those who are lonely this time of year, those separated from family due to this disease, those prevented from going to Church, comfort them in their need.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Isaiah 64 - Prayer of Petition

"There are none who call upon your name, none who rouse themselves to take hold of you; For you have hidden your face from us and have delivered us up to our crimes. Yet, LORD, you are our father; we are the clay and you our potter: we are all the work of your hand. Do not be so very angry, LORD, do not remember our crimes forever; look upon us, who are all your people!"  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭64:6-8‬

Isaiah 64:6-8  Prayer of Petition.   I have not met this Isaiah but I sense that I know Him.  His heart is good, he looks about and sees the destruction, sees the desolations yet He knows God is good.  He is reminded of how man was created from the goodness of God and he seeks God's help for God to remind the people of who gives them life.  Today is Black Friday, Isaiah witnessed black Friday's where People went about feeding their hunger with things that do not satisfy.  If we would slow down and give thanks, appreciate where we are at even if it seems like desolation.  A prayer of petition will not go unanswered, maybe not in how we see the answer though.

What is God saying to me: I Am working all things out, nothing goes unnoticed.  Continue to put oil in your lamp, the day is coming.

Dear Father, I just want to thank You for this day, for the blessings of a beautiful morning in the stillness surrounded by Your presence.   I thank You Father for working all things out as we place our trust in you, it seems messy but this is how You have done it over the ages from the days of old.  Thank You for the reminder of prayers of petitions, we are each called to pray for the souls of others.  Your Son Jesus, was not concerned about self but of all of Your creation.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Isaiah 63:7-19 Be Thankful - Reminder

"The loving deeds of the LORD I will recall, the glorious acts of the LORD, Because of all the LORD has done for us, the immense goodness to the house of Israel, Which he has granted according to his mercy and his many loving deeds. He said: "They are indeed my people, children who are not disloyal." So he became their savior". ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭63:7-8‬

Isaiah 63:7-19  Be Thankful - Reminder.  Happy Thanksgiving 🍁🦃  It is good we slow down each year and recognize the things, the memories, the places, the people we are to be thankful for.  In God's lovingkindness, these good memories are all gifts from Him. In our straying and wandering we recall these good times and the gifts we are given, it is these that bring us back.  These verses in Isaiah share how God's people forget how good God is and they go they own way only to recall the goodness of His ways.  Be Thankful this day, it hasn't been an easy year, lots of challenges, maybe the loss of a loved you yet your afflictions are His, your joy is His.  Through all of it whether you recognize God in your life or not, He is right there with you, that is how much He loves you.  Slow down, take a deep breath and just Be Thankful!  From my house to yours Happy Thanksgiving, appreciate where you are at this very moment.

What is God saying to me:  Be Thankful My friend.

Isaiah 63:1-6 God Saves - Jesus

"Who is this that comes from Edom, in crimsoned garments, from Bozrah? Who is this, glorious in his apparel, striding in the greatness of his strength? "It is I, I who announce vindication, mighty to save."" ‭‭ Isaiah‬ ‭63:1‬

Isaiah 63:1-6  God Saves - Jesus.  Can we fathom the greatness of God, can we comprehend His workings each day?  No.  God is all around us making His presence known and we either recognize His whispers or we are being trampled in the press.  The pain the Father must of felt to watch His Son be crucified is nothing compared to Him watching His creation ignoring Him and being led away to slaughter as He works on getting our attention.  Jesus died for our sins, our reward is the same relationship Jesus has with His Father while on this earth.  Trust in God's salvation, trust in His workings and do your part, execute His will.

What is God saying to me: I am working all things out, as you listen you are learning.  We are working on trust, it is I that controls the outcome, not you.  You control the execution and leave it in My hands.

Dear Father, I am blessed this day to be in Your counsel, to be sitting at Your feet and listening.  I am thankful for all that You are doing, You prepared the way thousands of years ago and You are preparing the way today.  May I set aside my flawed human nature and learn to be trusting of Your plan.  Continue to teach me these lessons in life Father, I do not want to be trampled in the wine press but I do want to be purified and will accept whatever it is You give, there is purpose in all of it.  Thank You Father for all that You are doing before our eyes even though we are blind to it.  You are God who saves and I am willing.  Prayers for our country willing to give up its freedoms for a false sense of security, even in this You are at work.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Isaiah 62 New Life

Dear Father, give us an ear that is attentive to the promptings of Your Holy Spirit.  Breath new life into our day and our daily devotion.  When we read Your word make it new to us each day even if we repeat it from yesterday for we are different people.  Thank You Father for placing Your Spirit within there is a tremendous joy when we are focused upon each other and it brings about peace.  Prayers this morning for those stuck in a rut, where life is not breathing hope, You will not rest nor will I until Your work is done.  Prayers for a friend with a bad back, a poor spirit, heal his spirit Father, You know his life hasn't been easy, may he be open to Your Holy Spirit, In Jesus name, Amen.

"The LORD has proclaimed to the ends of the earth: Say to daughter Zion, "See, your savior comes! See, his reward is with him, his recompense before him." They shall be called "The Holy People," "The Redeemed of the LORD." And you shall be called "Cared For," "A City Not Forsaken.""  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭62:11-12‬

Isaiah 62  New Life.  Covenant relationship with God is a marriage.  Each day we give to each other and each day is new because you are a different person.  There is joy when we are paying attention to our Lord, when we have gone beyond the rogue prayers and have a fulfilling relationship with God.  Each time you read His words there is new meaning, there is a developing relationship for you are His and He is yours.  An attentive ear is the key to any good relationship for you are hearing what is being said, you are listening with the heart and you have learned how to interact with each other where all is done and received in love.  Your selfishness has gone away.

Isaiah 61 Union

"You yourselves shall be called "Priests of the LORD," "Ministers of our God" you shall be called. You shall eat the wealth of the nations and in their riches you will boast."  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭61:6‬

Isaiah 6  Union.  Read Isaiah 61 with understanding, what does it ask of you?  To someone following the law without Christ it will seem foreign, the question will arise: how can I be a priest of the Lord?  To Isaiah, he had developed his relationship with God that it was no longer Isaiah but God within that was working thru him.  This union with God is what we seek in our daily lives, to see those in need and to respond.  Jesus did just that, He responded as how He asks each of us to respond to the world in need.  To some Isaiah's words are foreign but in that relationship you will see that Isaiah and Jesus have a strong relationship and it is no longer Isaiah but Isaiah-Jesus.  Daily prayer and reading God's word develops this understanding, it is not an instant journey but one that happens a little each day.  Be the change you want the world to be.

What is God saying to me:

Dear Lord, there is so much packed away within this chapter that one could spend a lifetime seeking its truths.  I see the relationship that Isaiah has with You, I see a man that desires to know You and live for You, in a sense becomes Your voice in a world that needed to hear truth.  Help us understand what You are asking each of us to do in this world.  We are to be ministers of Yours in a world that is possessed with indifference and lack of understanding.  Prayers this morning for a young man going
Into the Navy, give him the heart of a warrior and remove the things that have held him back in the past.  Bless this week Father, thank You for revealing truth in the lives of others and giving me the opportunity to see You working within them.  There is a supernatural strength in their convictions and change is coming about where they will make a difference.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Isaiah 60:3-22 Draw Near to Christ the King

"Your people will all be just; for all time they will possess the land; They are the shoot that I planted, the work of my hands, that I might be glorified. The least one shall become a clan, the smallest, a mighty nation; I, the LORD, will swiftly accomplish these things when the time comes."  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭60:21-22‬

Isaiah 3-22  Draw near to Christ the King.   This is the day the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad.  God calls each of us to draw near to Him, the greatest gift we can give to our Lord is the gift of self, to be with Him.  Jesus, His Son, as Son of Man spent time in the Temple, He worshipped His Father with the gift of time.  When we draw near we never leave empty handed, God has the best gift that anybody can want.  Today is Sunday, keep holy the Sabbath, go and worship as Jesus does.  It is Christ the King Sunday in the liturgical calendar, draw near to the King and receive His grace in your life.  "No longer will your sun set, or your moon wane; For the LORD will be your light forever, and the days of your grieving will be over."
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭60:20‬

What is God saying to me: ❤️

Dear Holy Father, You are the giver of the best gifts, I am not deserving of all that You do in my life but I am thankful for Your constant presence in my heart.  I thank You for the desires and hopes You place within.  May I be Your feet, Your hands, Your eyes, Your ears this day and take my gift of self and do with it as You will.  Father, I trust You with my all and I look forward to Stand before You for I know You will see this good work thru till the end.  Prayers for others to be drawn near to You, to go and worship You in Your Holy Temple.  Our time on Sundays is spent on giving not in receiving but like any good father, You will always give when our hearts are right.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Isaiah 60:1-3 Called

"Arise! Shine, for your light has come, the glory of the LORD has dawned upon you. Though darkness covers the earth, and thick clouds, the peoples, Upon you the LORD will dawn, and over you his glory will be seen. Nations shall walk by your light, kings by the radiance of your dawning." ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭60:1-3‬

Isaiah 60:1-3 Called. The will of God calls each of us differently yet the mission goal is the same, let His light shine. Samuel was called several times it wasn't until he learned to recognize God's voice did the Lord dawn upon him. Joesph was called to be the earthly father of Jesus, he arose in the middle of the night and heeded God's voice to protect Blessed Mary and the baby Jesus. In all these actions God's glory shines thru. Now back to us, how is God calling you? He tells us to arise, He will provide His glory, will we respond in obedience and let His glory be seen?

Isaiah 59:15-21 It is not I

"He saw that there was no one, was appalled that there was none to intervene; Then his own arm brought about the victory, and his justice sustained him. He put on justice as his breastplate, victory as a helmet on his head; He clothed himself with garments of vengeance, wrapped himself in a mantle of zeal."  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭59:16-17‬

Isaiah 59:15-21  It is not I.  The Lord looked down and there was no one, then He sent victory.  How do I get this victory?  Relationship with the Triune God, not weekly (a good start), not daily(part of the process) but in all that you do.  Will I fall short?  Yes I will but it is no longer I, my strength comes from the Lord.  Daily prayer, God always on your lips.  "Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy upon me a sinner."  In those moments of despair or despondency say this little prayer quietly.  In moments of joy say this little prayer quietly.  Invite God into your all.   "yet I live, no longer I, but Christ lives in me; insofar as I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God who has loved me and given himself up for me."
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭2:20‬  This is the victory that moves mountains, no longer I but Christ within me.  Have a blessed day, You are loved by Our Father in Heaven.

What is God saying to me: In the darkness I am there, in the nothingness I am there, can you be patient as we make this journey.  ( I will try Father but I know my strength is You so will You bring me thru?  I know You will.)

Dear Lord God, there is an intimacy in Your words today, there is a pain in Your words as You look down seeking the torchbearers.  Planting the seeds, providing rain and waiting for the growth.  Yet you see tomorrow and know the harvest is coming.  Thank You Father for those man dedicating their lives this weekend for Your Kingdom.  Bless them with Your grace and compassion in a world in need of grace and compassion, in a world in need of authentic witness.  Prayers for a friend seeking Peace, give them the grace to find it in their daily lives.   I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Isaiah 59:1-8 Deception

"No, the hand of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. Rather, it is your crimes that separate you from your God, It is your sins that make him hide his face so that he does not hear you."  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭59:1-2‬

Isaiah 59:1-8  Deception. God's ways are tried and true, man's way are filled with deception and deceit.  These verses require some self examination, am I being true to God in my actions each day.  Are my ways, God's ways?  Needless to say I see the flaw in my ways and therefore the need to sit at His feet so I can learn His ways.  "Teach me, LORD, your way that I may walk in your truth, single-hearted and revering your name."  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭86:11‬  God hears every word we speak to Him, it is our own sin that holds Him back.  If we are not using the talents and skills He has given us for good why would the Father continue to allow a evil to occur, to allow the chasm to become greater.   "You ask but do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions."  ‭‭James‬ ‭4:3‬  Ask for the Holy Spirit and sit at His feet, then you will receive.  "Teach me, LORD, your way that I may walk in your truth, single-hearted and revering your name."  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭86:11‬

What is God saying to me:  You are loved

Dear Lord, create in me a clean heart, that I may know You, that I may honor you and that I may walk in Your ways.  Prayers for a world being lead astray and being taught falsehood.  Give us the desire to know You and to love You.  Remove the sin from our lives that we may become Your sons and daughters, rightful Aires to the throne.  I ask this in Your most holy name, Yahweh.  Amen.

Isaiah 58:13-14 Purpose

"If you refrain from trampling the sabbath, from following your own pursuits on my holy day; If you call the sabbath a delight, the LORD's holy day glorious; If you glorify it by not following your ways, seeking your own interests, or pursuing your own affairs— Then you shall delight in the LORD, and I will make you ride upon the heights of the earth; I will nourish you with the heritage of Jacob, your father, for the mouth of the LORD has spoken."  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭58:13-14‬

Isaiah 58:13-14  Purpose.  The third commandment: "Remember the sabbath day—keep it holy."  Exodus‬ ‭20:8‬  Seems simple doesn't it but then we can become distracted by our worldly pursuits.  The time that God asked for can get filled up with other things and we wonder why life just doesn't seem to work out for us.  God clearly speaks on what happens when we honor Him on the Sabbath, when we make Him the beginning of our week, our all.  He will bless us with the heritage of Jacob.  Jacob became Israel, his twelve sons became the twelve tribes of Israel.  His life had purpose for he did not live for self but for God.  So, how important is keeping Holy the Lord's day to you?  Could that be why there is trouble in our world?  We don't invite God into it?  I see a world ignoring God on Sundays, following their own pursuits and still want what God gave Jacob, not possible, no God no peace.

What is God saying to me:

Dear Father, I am blessed by Your grace to begin my week with You.  I tried it my way for a long time and it never seemed to work out.  Today, it always seems to work out even when my way fails, for You are first in my life.  Thank You Father for teaching me this through the hardships and trials, to come to understand how central You are to live in peace.  Thank You Father for another day beginning at Your feet, You are at the helm and Jacobs heritage is being revealed.  Keep me on the path that leads to Your banquet table, You know the way and I am just following Your will.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Isaiah 58:4-12 God’s Focus

"Then the LORD will guide you always and satisfy your thirst in parched places, will give strength to your bones And you shall be like a watered garden, like a flowing spring whose waters never fail."  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭58:11‬

Isaiah 58:4-12  Fasting.  The principles of fasting teaches us to not focus on self even though the body is seeking input.  It trains us to focus on others, to look into the world and see the need, to deny our own need.  "Then he said to all, "If anyone wishes to come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me."  ‭‭Luke‬ ‭9:23‬  We all have needs, the world tells us to take care of self, God tells us to deny self and He will take care of our needs.  I don't know what you are going thru but if our focus is on others, God's focus is on you.  He will feed you, He will clothe you, He will be the blessing that the body aches for.  So when you fast, you are in training to deny self and focus on others.  In our hunger, God will provide if we will take our eyes off of self and do as He does.

What is God saying to me:  Leave it in My hands, remember Love conquers all.

Dear Father God, when I sit still and read Your word, I see the wisdom of the past and others that have gone before.  I see you sitting and teaching, speaking softly knowing the message is sinking in.  Watch over this day as we chew upon Your word and live it in our daily lives.  Thank You Father for answering prayers and changing hearts to see Your glory in the written word.  Prayers for a friend facing a difficult decision, give them wisdom to choose the path that You are leading them on, You never said life would be easy but it is easier with You then without.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Isaiah 58:1-5 The Heart of God

"Cry out full-throated and unsparingly, lift up your voice like a trumpet blast; Proclaim to my people their transgression, to the house of Jacob their sins. They seek me day after day, and desire to know my ways, Like a nation that has done what is just and not abandoned the judgment of their God; They ask of me just judgments, they desire to draw near to God. "Why do we fast, but you do not see it? afflict ourselves, but you take no note?" See, on your fast day you carry out your own pursuits, and drive all your laborers."  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭58:1-3‬

Isaiah 58:1-5  The Heart of God.  Have you done the right actions but it did not produce the result that you wanted?  Right actions, wrong heart.  Our obedience to God in our prayer life, in fasting, isn't to be done to where these actions control God, you are not the puppet master.  This actions lead us into the heart of God, not manipulate God.  God seeks to transform our lives and draw us near to Him, if you are questioning God why He didn't do what you asked of Him, examine your motivations.  Was it done with love at the center or was there some self serving interest?  God calls us all into the deep, the deeper we go the less we are able to see, it is here where we grow in trust with Him.

What is God saying to me: Trust in My ways, less of you and more of Me, My divinity will rise up when it is no longer you.

Dear Lord God, examine my motivations and speak to my spirit.  I know you know my heart and are achieving the result that You are seeking.  Draw us nearer to you day after day and may my will be yours.  Prayers for a world being tormented with ill fated effort, even in this You will bring about peace in the life's of Your Saints.  Thank You Father for the encouragement when needed, to be there when I am obedient to You.  Prayers for all those reading these words, may the heart of God shine thru in their lives.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Isaiah 57:3-13 The Holy Mountain

"Whom did you dread and fear, that you told lies, And me you did not remember nor take to heart? Am I to keep silent and conceal, while you show no fear of me? I will proclaim your justice and your works; but they shall not help you. When you cry out, let your collection of idols save you. All these the wind shall carry off, a mere breath shall bear them away; But whoever takes refuge in me shall inherit the land, and possess my holy mountain."  Isaiah‬ ‭57:11-13‬

Isaiah 57:3-13  The Holy Mountain.  I spent a little time in self examination this morning, in what ways am I putting things, desires, wants, pleasures in front of God.  Isaiah watched a people slowly slip away from God and make their own idols, something that they could control.  We do the same thing, just look inward and see the idols that are trying to take hold or already have.  Are you trying to control the situation?  God looks and knows the outcome, calamity will come and all that will be gone in a blink of an eye but God will still be there.  Where you spend your time is a great indicator of what has a hold of you.  Does time with God come first?

What is God saying to me:  It easily slips away and then the heart grows cold and before you know it, I am at a distance watching and waiting.  In My presence there is peace, Moses found Me on the holy mountain and was transformed, you as well.
Dear Lord, I love You with all my heart, I see the treachery of the evil one as he tries to steal our time.  He is cunning at his ways but with You each day there is reassurance that all us well.  I ask for help Lord in my prayer life, You know the struggle and you know the answer.  What is the solution?   You have solved every other situation we have been through together and this one will be no different.  Thank You Father for another great start to my day, I can't imagine that You and I never talked and You looked on from a distance.  Bless this day Lord, give us insight into the next step.  Prayers for a friend struggling to grow, stretching is never easy.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Isaiah 57:1-2 The Just

"The just have perished, but no one takes it to heart; The steadfast are swept away, while no one understands. Yet the just are taken away from the presence of evil, and enter into peace; They rest upon their couches, the sincere, who walk in integrity."  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭57:1-2‬

Isaiah 57:1-2  The Just.  Who are the just and what happens to them?  The just live in peace, they are steadfast and they walk in truth, there is no duplicity within them.  Can we achieve that while alive?  Yes, we can, Jesus lived in peace, He was steadfast and He is truth.  I used to think that the just did the will of the Father and they do but there can be unwillingness in our own will, this isn't peace there is still duplicity within us.  The just are those who's will is the one and the same of the Father.  Their desire is neither for or against but to do what brings about peace in souls.  We can live there today, not easy but it is achievable with the help of God.

What is God saying to me:  The images help along with the memories, you learn from your past mistakes.  As you do Peace rises up within you for you recognize the path of Peace and the path of evil.  Integrity of spirit is the beginning of Peace.

Dear Father, it is always good to be in Your Presence on my couch, there is peace when You and I sit and visit.  You see the struggle as we journey together, I am trusting in You to lead the way, to remove the duplicity within as Peace is the goal.  I am thankful for the quietness this morning, for the time to just be and listen.  I know some may not understand but they don't know what they don't know.  I see Your Sons desire for all to understand and I see the blindness that keeps them from knowing.  Break thru the darkness Lord and shed light upon those that need it most.  I ask this in Your most Holy Name, Triune God be my all, Triune God be my all, Triune God be my all.  Thank You Father, Amen.

Isaiah 56:9-12 Awareness

"All you beasts of the field, come to devour, all you beasts in the forest! All the sentinels of Israel are blind, they are without knowledge; They are all mute dogs, unable to bark; Dreaming, reclining, loving their sleep. Yes, the dogs have a ravenous appetite; they never know satiety, Shepherds who have no understandig; all have turned their own way, each one covetous for gain: "Come, let me bring wine; let us fill ourselves with strong drink, And tomorrow will be like today, or even greater.""  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭56:9-12‬

Isaiah 56:9-12  Awareness.  You have the responsibility of protecting your own soul.  Yes others are to help shepherd us but it is each of us individually that will answer for ourselves.  When God is our focus you will know satisfaction, you will know that life does not revolve around you.  Jesus wasn't self centered but other centered, His mission was to show us the way.  He expressed concern and spoke truth when something was wrong.  We as well are called to speak up, to be aware of what is going on in our world.

What is God saying to me:

Dear Father, awaken our senses to our own ills and help us correct the path that we are on if it is in meed of correcting.  Help us understand our own words create freedom in our lives or create a trap that enslaves us.  I thank You Father for answering a thought and providing insight into the way forward.  Thank You Father for always being in control of the situation even if are senses are dulled.   You are my everything and You are my Shepherd, I listen for Your voice and respond in a world that tries to quiet You.  You are real, help us see that today.  Give us the grace of understanding of our own situations and make us accountable for our actions.  I ask this in the name of Jesus.

Isaiah 56:3-8 Spiritual United

"And foreigners who join themselves to the LORD, to minister to him, To love the name of the LORD, to become his servants— All who keep the sabbath without profaning it and hold fast to my covenant, Them I will bring to my holy mountain and make them joyful in my house of prayer; Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be acceptable on my altar, For my house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples."  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭56:6-7‬

Isaiah 56:3-8  Spiritual United.  God gives us clear direction on being united with Him.  Follow His commandments, spend time in prayer.  When we are outside of the covenant relationship we are cut off spiritually.  Recognizing this is the beginning of being united with your creator.   Can you say you love the name of the Lord?  Daily prayer is the beginning of something special, there is joy that one realizes over time.  Slow down, start your day in prayer, close your eyes and listen to God.

What is God saying to me:

Dear Father, I understand how rushing into our day can keep us spiritually separated if we do not take the time to sit and visit with no distractions around us.  Father, help us see the importance of being united with you and not cut off from your graces of prayer.  Prayers for a friend who is recovering from
Covid, prayers for a country that is being divided thru deception, guide us spirituality to truth and unity with You.  I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Isaiah 56:1-2 Right Action

"Thus says the LORD: Observe what is right, do what is just, for my salvation is about to come, my justice, about to be revealed. Happy is the one who does this, whoever holds fast to it: Keeping the sabbath without profaning it, keeping one's hand from doing any evil."  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭56:1-2‬

Isaiah 56:1-2  Right Action.  We have built within us the desire to do what is right, when we don't we are discombobulated.  Our spirit is not at rest, we toss and turn.  But when our actions aline with God, when we do the next right thing and continue to do that there is a hope within that builds.  Whether you know this or not, your spirit wants to please the Father in Heaven just like a little child wanting to please their earthly fathers.  Sin in our lives clouds this desire, it dulls our senses and gets in the way of happiness.  But sin also reveals this truth of happiness because our spirit wants to be happy.  The sin that once brought pleasure now causes unrest.  Our hearts were made to bring us home, to please our Father in Heaven, happy is the one who does this right action.  Do the right thing.

What is God saying to me:

Dear Father, I am thankful for this day and the plans that You are bringing about.  I Am thankful for being at peace and for having this hope that pushes me forward.  Prayers for a friend that is in a fog, You placed him in my thoughts today and I am thankful that You are calling.  May we bless You today with right action, when our spirits are at unrest, may we examine ourselves for the cause and may we always remember we have the desire to please You and peace is only found when we are doing just that.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Isaiah 55 - Time

"All you who are thirsty, come to the water! You who have no money, come, buy grain and eat; Come, buy grain without money, wine and milk without cost! Why spend your money for what is not bread; your wages for what does not satisfy? Only listen to me, and you shall eat well, you shall delight in rich fare. Pay attention and come to me; listen, that you may have life. I will make with you an everlasting covenant, the steadfast loyalty promised to David."  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55:1-3‬

Isaiah 55 - Time.  Why spend money for what is not bread or another way why spend time for what is not bread?  God cares for you!  He cares for your well being, for your future, for your soul and the one thing that we can give Him is time, it is the wage He gives us.  When we sit and listen, our thoughts are not His, our ways are not His, He knows everything.  I have learned to give God time and in return, I am well cared for.  I have learned to listen, my lamp has plenty of oil, my Spirit is fed and my thoughts, over time become His.  But He warns us: "Seek the LORD while he may be found, call upon him while he is near."  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55:6‬  "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, [then] I will enter his house and dine with him, and he with me."  Revelation‬ ‭3:20‬  Jesus is knocking answer Him with your time.

What is God saying to me: Time with me is wisely spent, a fool squanders his wages on frivolous things that does not bring about peace.

Dear Father, even though my morning wasn't usual it was good being with You as we talk with each other.  You know my concerns and the images You paint in my spirit, I will continue to be obedient to Your will and follow where we are going.  Prayers for those not living in Peace, not living within the confines of Your heart.  Bless this day Father, bless our time with You this day and help us always be by Your side.  I ask this through Jesus Christ, Amen.

Isaiah 54 - God’s protection

"O afflicted one, storm-battered and unconsoled, I lay your pavements in carnelians, your foundations in sapphires; I will make your battlements of rubies, your gates of jewels, and all your walls of precious stones. All your children shall be taught by the LORD; great shall be the peace of your children. In justice shall you be established, far from oppression, you shall not fear, from destruction, it cannot come near."  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭54:11-14‬

Isaiah 54 - God's protection.  Finding peace in the chaos is God's message in Isaiah 53 & 54.  Isaiah 53 is the image of the suffering servant Jesus and Heaven with God in 54.  God offers us protection from the calamities of life in Him, the world was flooded, Noah did not know what tomorrow brought yet he was protected.  Jesus was crucified yet His passion lead Him home.  God paints the picture of Heaven this morning as we live this journey.  Be with Him in the boat, the seas churn, the wind blows, the body gets racked but God offers protection for those willing to journey with Him and in Him.  You can find peace in the chaos.

What is God saying to me:  Be still and just be, I speak when nothing is going on around you.

Dear Father, I am blessed to have others around me that teach of Your wisdom.  I am blessed to hear good news of the things that You are doing.  I am blessed to see the Kingdom growing and our world, yours and mine, filled with Your presence.  I do not fear the dark of night nor the arrow that flies by day for You are with me by my choice.  Thank You for the peace and knowledge of knowing You.  Prayers for a friend surrounded by choppy seas, bad news and sickness striking family members, give her strength Lord and an overwhelming sense of Peace that all will be well.  "Do you not know that the runners in the stadium all run in the race, but only one wins the prize? Run so as to win."  ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭9:24‬  Give us vision Father, Amen.

Isaiah 53 - Reparation

"Who would believe what we have heard? To whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? He grew up like a sapling before him, like a shoot from the parched earth; He had no majestic bearing to catch our eye, no beauty to draw us to him. He was spurned and avoided by men, a man of suffering, knowing pain, Like one from whom you turn your face, spurned, and we held him in no esteem. Yet it was our pain that he bore, our sufferings he endured. We thought of him as stricken, struck down by God and afflicted, But he was pierced for our sins, crushed for our iniquity. He bore the punishment that makes us whole, by his wounds we were healed. We had all gone astray like sheep, all following our own way; But the LORD laid upon him the guilt of us all. Though harshly treated, he submitted and did not open his mouth; Like a lamb led to slaughter or a sheep silent before shearers, he did not open his mouth. Seized and condemned, he was taken away. Who would have thought any more of his destiny? For he was cut off from the land of the living, struck for the sins of his people."  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭53:1-8‬

Isaiah 53 - Reparation.   I am drawn once again to Isaiah, a man much like yourself as he sits and ponders, he is given foresight.  Was Isaiah considered a crazy man for his writings at the time?  There was no evidence of the truth he was writing.  Now I ponder our vision, it is hindsight for the full story has been painted in history yet some do not believe.  Do some consider us crazy for there is no apparent proof.  In either case it does not matters, what does is responding to the love that is placed within your heart.  To realize that God treats all equally, it is our response to Him that will determine our future life, one filled with awe and completeness or one filled with the pain of our sins.  The choice is yours, seek His face, He is there.  Jesus paid the price receive His full payment on your behalf.

What is God saying to me:

Dear Father, there is a deep and abiding love that is growing within, the gifts that You give are simple yet profound.  I love You more today than I did yesterday and the same will be true tomorrow.  Take us beyond the words Lord and paint the picture of Love within that we too might be able to give it away as Isaiah did.  Open our mouths when we are asked to respond, take away the self doubt so Your glory may be revealed.  I offer this day to You, it is my gift back for waking this morning.  Prayers for a father being haunted by his past, Jesus enter this man and make a home within that sheds light in his works.  I ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

Isaiah 52:13-15 Holy Vision

"See, my servant shall prosper, he shall be raised high and greatly exalted. Even as many were amazed at him— so marred were his features, beyond that of mortals his appearance, beyond that of human beings— So shall he startle many nations, kings shall stand speechless; For those who have not been told shall see, those who have not heard shall ponder it."  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭52:13-15‬

Isaiah 52:13-15  Holy Vision.  "Therefore, you shall love the LORD, your God, with your whole heart, and with your whole being, and with your whole strength."  ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭6:5‬
What happens when you live this verse Deuteronomy 6:5?  Isaiah shows us in his inspired words, you get holy vision.  My thoughts turn to a man in relationship with his Father in Heaven, the Holy One.  He is living in covenant union with God and in turn God is living with him.  "Those who have not been told shall see, those who have not heard shall ponder it." Is this Isaiah telling us how truth was revealed to Him?  Explain how Isaiah depicts Jesus so vividly in three verses?  What was he seeing to speak to the Son of Man raised up and kings left speechless?  I conclude it is holy vision, something that is available to each of us with a consistent prayer life with focus on the Holy One.  Ponder Isaiah's words with holy vision.

What is God saying to me:

Dear Father, I gaze upon You this morning with the luxury of words to describe who You are and how You live in relationship with those that love You, I Am thankful Father for having this desire.  I may not always get it right Lord but I know you are always by my side speaking through others, given me insight into situations and leading me when I am in Union with you.  I ask for prayers this morning for our country that is being tormented with evil, You know the truth Father and if anything has been done in the darkness shed light upon it.  But no matter the outcome, Your faithful will heed Your voice.  Prayers for a great day, for a day filled with peace and understanding.  Watch over our comings and goings and keep us pointed towards You always, I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Isaiah 52:1-12 Our God Saves

"The LORD has bared his holy arm in the sight of all the nations; All the ends of the earth can see the salvation of our God."  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭52:10‬

Isaiah 52:1-12  Our God saves.  When we look upon the face of God there is a peace, there is holiness and there is salvation.  We are called to live in the world but to not be of this world.  The saving power that God gives us allows us to rise above the captivity and to live in Him.  This isn't a head knowledge, it isn't something that you figure out over night, it takes time to recognize His presence in Your life.  The resurrection power can live within and you can separate yourself from this world.  Paul did it while being held captive, John did it while imprisoned, so if they got to that place while living here, why can's you and I get there as well.  Our God saves as you journey towards Him, step by step each day.

What is God saying to me:  Today I took the lead and brought you along.  When it looks like nothing is happening there is much going on, My people will recognize My voice.
Dear Holy Good, I love when You take the lead and show the way to truth.  You do this in a world that struggles to see you but if they would slow down and witness Your love in action, all would understand Your mighty hand.  Thank You Father for bringing me along, for grabbing my right hand and leading the way.  Help us receive the need for holiness in this life, to seek Your face and steal away for time with You.  Father many do not understand faith, they do not see You in the Eucharist, grab their right hand Father and lead the way in their lives just as You did with me.  Prayers for Your Holy Presence to rise up and be seen by all.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Isaiah 51:18-23 The Cup of the Lord

"But now, hear this, afflicted one, drunk, but not with wine.  Thus says the LORD, your Master, your God, who defends his people: See, I am taking from your hand the cup of staggering; The bowl of my wrath you shall no longer drink. I will put it into the hands of your tormentors, those who said to you, "Bow down, that we may walk over you." So you offered your back like the ground, like the street for them to walk on."  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭51:22-23‬

Isaiah 51:18-23  The Cup of the Lord.  One of the hardest things for us to do is not to fight back.  We feel we must defend ourselves and get our point across, God tells us that He will defend us.  I have this image of Jesus being scourged and as He is taking the whip He is praying for the one with the whip in his hand.  The next time you go to whipping and fighting back, know that Jesus is praying for you and taking the beating.  "The second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself."  Matthew‬ ‭22:39‬ ‭ If we would treat each other as we would like to be treated there would be no troubles in our world but we feel we must be right.  Live your faith and be prepared to give your back.
What is God saying to me:  Follow Jesus

Dear Father, this day there are many riled up wanting to be right not thinking about their neighbor and justifying their actions.  I know You will help us love each other more, to listen to understand and give hope to the hopeless.  I pray for Your will to be accomplished today, I know You are in charge.  Help Your children to hear Your voice and be released from the bondage of sin.  Watch over this day, guide the hand of Your people and prepare us for the cup of the Lord.  Help us remember we are one nation, under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for ALL.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Isaiah 51:1-16 A Great Nation

"Awake, awake, put on strength, arm of the LORD! Awake as in the days of old, in ages long ago! Was it not you who crushed Rahab, you who pierced the dragon? Was it not you who dried up the sea, the waters of the great deep, You who made the depths of the sea into a way for the redeemed to pass through?"  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭51:9-10‬

Isaiah 51:1-16  A Great Nation.  Every four years we hear the same thing, this is the most critical election in history, will it be any different four years from now.  The people of old sought political leaders, they sought kings and rulers and did not seek the Lord of Lords.  Our strength comes from God, Isaiah's words this morning are a reminder to what is truly important.  No matter the outcome in the next few days, God will triumph, He repeats this message over and over again in His word.  He reminds you where you come from and where you belong.  Turn your face to Him, seek Him and His truth, make God your Ruler and live in peace not the chaos of a political system.

What is God saying to me: https://youtu.be/E_GsKLJcum8

Dear Father, I love Your words this morning, pointing us back to the past to see what is fact and who we each belong too, we are Your children.  I pray for what the future holds but I do not fear its outcome for You are my victory, You are my treasure, it is You that satisfies all my desires.  This world is fleeting and will pass away but You will always remain.  Prayers for a world on edge Father, point them back to You, point them to peace that calms all storms.  I ask for help this week, to guide my steps and my decisions.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Isaiah 50 - Plugged in

"Who is among you that fears the LORD, That obeys the voice of His servant, That walks in darkness and has no light? Let him trust in the name of the LORD and rely on his God."  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭50:10

Isaiah 50 - Plugged in.  Do you notice how plugged in Isaiah is, as you read his words, there is a picture of Jesus printed again.  So how plugged in are you?  I enjoyed the cool of the morning and listened to the roosters crow and the stillness of the day.  The knowledge I sought could only be found the same way Isaiah found it, in quiet contemplation.  We want to be plugged in, we want knowledge, we want to know but if you seek that knowledge outside of God it will only leave you empty.  Be like Isaiah, plug in to the source of life and be filled with hope and wonders of the deep.

What is God saying to me:  In the darkness you will find your way as long as you listen to my voice.  In due time it will come to light.

Dear Father, I gaze at the moon this morning and see its beauty.  It is the same moon that the Saints before us have looked upon and wondered about Your glory as they traveled upon their pilgrimage.  I thank You for the beauty of this day and the treasures that are there for us when we plug in to You.  Help us set aside the fleeting technology of this world and plug in to You in our thoughts and imagination that is Godly inspired.  Bless this day for what it holds for each of us.  Prayers for a friend dealing with grief Father, help him plug in to the beauty that is around him.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
