Isaiah 58:1-5 The Heart of God

"Cry out full-throated and unsparingly, lift up your voice like a trumpet blast; Proclaim to my people their transgression, to the house of Jacob their sins. They seek me day after day, and desire to know my ways, Like a nation that has done what is just and not abandoned the judgment of their God; They ask of me just judgments, they desire to draw near to God. "Why do we fast, but you do not see it? afflict ourselves, but you take no note?" See, on your fast day you carry out your own pursuits, and drive all your laborers."  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭58:1-3‬

Isaiah 58:1-5  The Heart of God.  Have you done the right actions but it did not produce the result that you wanted?  Right actions, wrong heart.  Our obedience to God in our prayer life, in fasting, isn't to be done to where these actions control God, you are not the puppet master.  This actions lead us into the heart of God, not manipulate God.  God seeks to transform our lives and draw us near to Him, if you are questioning God why He didn't do what you asked of Him, examine your motivations.  Was it done with love at the center or was there some self serving interest?  God calls us all into the deep, the deeper we go the less we are able to see, it is here where we grow in trust with Him.

What is God saying to me: Trust in My ways, less of you and more of Me, My divinity will rise up when it is no longer you.

Dear Lord God, examine my motivations and speak to my spirit.  I know you know my heart and are achieving the result that You are seeking.  Draw us nearer to you day after day and may my will be yours.  Prayers for a world being tormented with ill fated effort, even in this You will bring about peace in the life's of Your Saints.  Thank You Father for the encouragement when needed, to be there when I am obedient to You.  Prayers for all those reading these words, may the heart of God shine thru in their lives.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
