Isaiah 61 Union

"You yourselves shall be called "Priests of the LORD," "Ministers of our God" you shall be called. You shall eat the wealth of the nations and in their riches you will boast."  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭61:6‬

Isaiah 6  Union.  Read Isaiah 61 with understanding, what does it ask of you?  To someone following the law without Christ it will seem foreign, the question will arise: how can I be a priest of the Lord?  To Isaiah, he had developed his relationship with God that it was no longer Isaiah but God within that was working thru him.  This union with God is what we seek in our daily lives, to see those in need and to respond.  Jesus did just that, He responded as how He asks each of us to respond to the world in need.  To some Isaiah's words are foreign but in that relationship you will see that Isaiah and Jesus have a strong relationship and it is no longer Isaiah but Isaiah-Jesus.  Daily prayer and reading God's word develops this understanding, it is not an instant journey but one that happens a little each day.  Be the change you want the world to be.

What is God saying to me:

Dear Lord, there is so much packed away within this chapter that one could spend a lifetime seeking its truths.  I see the relationship that Isaiah has with You, I see a man that desires to know You and live for You, in a sense becomes Your voice in a world that needed to hear truth.  Help us understand what You are asking each of us to do in this world.  We are to be ministers of Yours in a world that is possessed with indifference and lack of understanding.  Prayers this morning for a young man going
Into the Navy, give him the heart of a warrior and remove the things that have held him back in the past.  Bless this week Father, thank You for revealing truth in the lives of others and giving me the opportunity to see You working within them.  There is a supernatural strength in their convictions and change is coming about where they will make a difference.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Our Lady of Victory, Pray for us.
St Joesph, Most Strong, Pray for us.
