Isaiah 64 - Prayer of Petition

"There are none who call upon your name, none who rouse themselves to take hold of you; For you have hidden your face from us and have delivered us up to our crimes. Yet, LORD, you are our father; we are the clay and you our potter: we are all the work of your hand. Do not be so very angry, LORD, do not remember our crimes forever; look upon us, who are all your people!"  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭64:6-8‬

Isaiah 64:6-8  Prayer of Petition.   I have not met this Isaiah but I sense that I know Him.  His heart is good, he looks about and sees the destruction, sees the desolations yet He knows God is good.  He is reminded of how man was created from the goodness of God and he seeks God's help for God to remind the people of who gives them life.  Today is Black Friday, Isaiah witnessed black Friday's where People went about feeding their hunger with things that do not satisfy.  If we would slow down and give thanks, appreciate where we are at even if it seems like desolation.  A prayer of petition will not go unanswered, maybe not in how we see the answer though.

What is God saying to me: I Am working all things out, nothing goes unnoticed.  Continue to put oil in your lamp, the day is coming.

Dear Father, I just want to thank You for this day, for the blessings of a beautiful morning in the stillness surrounded by Your presence.   I thank You Father for working all things out as we place our trust in you, it seems messy but this is how You have done it over the ages from the days of old.  Thank You for the reminder of prayers of petitions, we are each called to pray for the souls of others.  Your Son Jesus, was not concerned about self but of all of Your creation.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Heaven, Pray for us.
