Week 19 - The Journey Day 5
"In the synagogue there was a man with the spirit of an unclean demon, and he cried out in a loud voice, "Ha! What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God!" Jesus rebuked him and said, "Be quiet! Come out of him!" Then the demon threw the man down in front of them and came out of him without doing him any harm." Luke 4:33-35

An encounter with Jesus, in the presence of the Holy One of God, the evil spirit must bow to the authority of Christ. A new beginning for the man who had embraced the evil of the world, who had taken the apple and believed in its lies. The man was in the synagogue, maybe with head knowledge but not heart knowledge until he encountered Jesus.
The longest Journey ones makes with God is from the head to the heart. It is in seeking Him when we encounter Christ, Jesus cast outs the unclean and then enters in to take up residency. Life with Christ is filled with Hope and joy, the life that we live is to glorify our Creator not the king of the world. In our journey when you are seeking Christ even in the motions, He will come.
What is God saying to me? I am transforming your world as we travel together. I hear your prayers and they are being answered in My time. Continue in the presence of My Holy Spirit.
Dear Father, in our travels, You are greater in all things. It is You that puts these thoughts, hopes and prayers within. It is You that gives me the desires and drive to live what I am called to do. Thank You Father for faithful followers worshiping You in Your holy temple. Prayers for those consumed with worldly desires, suffering on the road to Calvary. Bless this day, thank You for the gifts of this day. In Jesus name, Amen.
