Week 44 - The Journey with Nicodemus
"No one has gone up to heaven except the one who has come down from heaven, the Son of Man. And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life."" John 3:13-15
Seeds of faith. This is one of my favorite bible verses as the Living Word revealed Himself and He still does. Nicodemus listened to Jesus intently not fully realizing what He was revealing to him. He pondered these words as he went about his days trying to grasp their meaning then he encounters Jesus on the cross and eureka. Truth speaks louder in actions and Jesus reveals Himself to Nicodemus knowing the seeds would take root.
When we sit with the Living Word, Jesus implants within us a thought or a word that we are to ponder. He has divine purpose in it knowing that in time the truth will be revealed. Jesus speaks of His divinity with Nicodemus, His full understanding of His nature. Yes, He is Son of Man and yes, He is God.
The journey is in beginning, in trusting that God will reveal Truth to you. Whether we understand or not, it is the Living Word of God that penetrates the heart and then eureka. These moments make an indelible mark within and you are off. Nicodemus lived out his faith, no longer in the dark, now he was in the light, in full view for all to see. Eureka!
What is God saying to me? A little at a time, ponder these words that My truth may grow stronger.
Dear Father, in the stillness You speak louder, the distractions go away and it is just You and I sitting outside of time. These moments build upon each other for a purpose, You see the seeds growing and rooting within the soul. Thank You for the eureka moments that continue. Prayers for all on the Journey, those that are on the Way with a Divine purpose. Bless this day and all it has to offer. In Jesus name, Amen.
